Vision smiled as he watched over Wanda's sleeping face, noting her features, as he thought about everything that had happened to them since they met all those years prior.
Ultron,
Lagos,
The accords,
Their secret relationship,
Thanos,
His untimely demise.
He couldnt help but wonder how things would have turned out if he had not been resurrected.
Would Wanda move on eventually? or would she have succumb to her emotions and rage war on the World, or even worse, would she just give in and join him in death?
The latter seemed the most likely, the thought caused Vision to frown.
Wanda was such a beautiful person, inside and out, and her powers grew more and more each day, but it wasnt something to fear.. if anything her powers were something that could help bring peace to the world if she so chose it.
He smiled as he noted the sigh escape her lips, her hands were resting ontop her stomach which had grown quite a bit since they had returned back to westview from their adventures with Dr Strange.
He gingerly covered her hands with his, so as not to wake her and gasped as he noted the subtle movements within her womb.
They were going to be a family, a full fledged family and from what they both could sense, it would be a family of four as they could sense two lives within her.
But there was one thing that he still had not done, and this was something that was keeping him awake at night.
He stared at Wanda's finger and sighed once more as he noted her lack of an engagement ring.
He needed to ask her and he needed help.
Wanda awoke the following morning to the smell of bacon frying in the kitchen, she smiled as her stomach growled for the meat which she had been craving the last couple of weeks.
Shs got up, pulled a robe over her shoulders and began walking down to the kitchen.
She smiled as she watched Vision with his back to her as he was currently musing over the stove.
She quietly strode over behind him and slowly laced her arms around his waist, a smile on her face as she spoke
"Morning"
Vision smiled and slowly turned to face her, placing a kiss on her head as he replied
"Good morning"
She looked up at him and stood on her tip toes as she reached to peck his lips.
He smiled as he gazed down at her, noting the small bump that was now able to touch him as she leant in close to him.
"And how are the little ones?"
He placed a hand over her stomach and smiled as he noted the instant movements as if the children were wishing him a good morning.
"They are fine"
She turned to sit at the table as she awaited her breakfast
"But they are hungry"
she giggled and Vision instantly handed her a plate of bacon sandwiches.
"We will be having guests later"
He stated as he watched Wanda devour the sandwich
"Who?"
Wanda asked as she bit into the sandwich, relishing in the taste of the bacon, it was perfectly crisp, just as she liked it.
"Everyone.. I believe they wish to see you incase they dont get a chance to before the children are born"
he stated simply
Wanda nodded her understanding, it will certainly be nice to have everyone in the same room, like they used to before the accords ripped the team apart.
Clint, Laura, Lila, Cooper and Nate smiled as they greeted Wanda, the family instantly enveloping her into an embrace.
Vision watched the exchange fondly, he was thankful to the Barton family, for they were there for Wanda, when he sadly was not.
Laura slipped out of the embrace and slowly walked to Vision, she held her hand out as she spoke
"You must be Vision, I'm Laura"
Vision took the hand and smiled as he replied
"It is a pleasure to meet you"
Clint and the kids eventually followed Laura and greeted Vision, each child stating their name politely.
Wanda smiled as she noted Nates gaze on Vision
"He looks cool huh?"
She asked, smiling brightly as the youngest Barton began nodding his head profusely in agreement
Vision and Wanda guided the family into their home, offering them a seat as they awaited the other arrivals.
To Wanda's surprise, Vision really did invite everyone, as a very large Bruce Banner almost broke the doorbell as he attempted to ring it, he entered with Shuri and Helen Cho following behind.
Next came the God of Thunder with his companions that Wanda eagerly greeted, she had wanted to see Rocket and Groot again.
Carol Danvers arrived with Nick Fury and Agent Hill, who were also pulling Peter Parker behind them, he ran towards Vision, his eyes glistening with tears as he embraced the synthezoid, grateful to see that he was alive.
Vision reciprocated the embrace, noting that they had both lost Mr Stark and he did like Mr Parker, thinking of him as a younger sibling.
Wanda was beginning to grow suspicious of the events as she watched the people around the room, they had all gathered for a specific reason, it wasnt until Dr Strange and Wong arrived that it finally clicked.
"Viszh, I'm going to get something from upstairs"
She spoke over the people in the room so Vision could hear her, she decided to speak up rather than speak through the bridge in their mind for a specific reason.
He nodded and she left for their room, heading to the closet, she opened it and began rummaging through the organised chaos until she found it.
It was a velvet red box and inside was a ring, fitted perfectly for Visions vibranium finger.
Wanda had gotten the measurements one night while Vision was resting, she had wanted to ensure that things were perfect.
She knew that he was planning the same thing and today would be the day, so she only had so much time to get the jump on him.
She walked back downstairs to the sound of the other avengers reminiscing over Natasha Romanoff, Tony Stark and Steve Roger's.
Wanda's heart fell as she thought of how they would have loved to be here today, to see how everything worked out, and even though there were still battles to be fought, the team was still together, that they were still a family.. with new avengers eventually entering the fold.
Vision saw Wanda's saddened features and instantly went to her side, he kissed her head as he asked
"Are you ok?"
Wanda nodded
"I just wish they were here with us"
He nodded his agreement.
The conversation eventually died down and Wanda noted the anticipation in the air.
Now was her time.
Vision had started to fumble as he searched his pockets, turning away from Wanda as he began to think through his speech that he had practiced in his head.
He grasped the small box in his pocket, took a deep breath that he didnt need and turned to face her.
"Wanda-"
"Vision"
He was cut off, his eyes widened as he noted Wanda down on one knee and holding out a small red velvet box.
She was blushing profusely and her heart felt like it was ready to jump out of her throat as she forced the words out.
"Vision.. Viszh.. Marry me.."
she bit her lip as she watched him, he was lost for words and she couldnt help but feel nervous as she awaited his reply.
It took Vision 33.345 seconds before he realised that he hadn't answered yet.
He knelt down to Wanda's level and held out the blue and gold box that he had been holding.
"You beat me to it"
he smiled and she giggled, relived by his demeanor but still awaiting the proper reply.
"C'mon Vision! Answer the girl then!"
Clint shouted out and Laura and the others nodded in agreement
Wanda blushed more from the comments and gazed into Visions eyes, his smile was wide as he slowly nodded his head, slipping the ring out from his box and placing it on Wanda's finger.
"Ofcourse I will marry you"
She smiled brightly and quickly pulled out the ring for Vision, grinning like a Cheshire cat as she noted how it was indeed a perfect fit.
They kissed to the cheers of those around them, their friends, their team-mates.
Their family.
