AN: Hope you're all doing ok. I've been so excited to share this one with you, even though I know most of you will shout at your screens! So let me know what you think of this one, was it the right move?

Chapter Fourteen

Ana would kill him if she ever found out what he was doing, but enough was enough, he couldn't stand back anymore and watch Elena destroy herself and her legacy. Between the outburst she'd had after losing the election and then the screaming attack she'd given the young Labour MP it was bad enough but things were escalating. She'd sent the RSVP for the wedding back to Downing Street covered in vile graffiti, making it crystal clear she was not attending the wedding but the language directed at Ana was sickening especially from the former Prime Minister. Ana had found it amusing, she'd laughed and shrugged in response because the truth was Ana didn't want her there and she was only invited because they had no choice because she was the Leader of the Opposition and all 649 MPs had been invited. But the bottom line was the country would expect her to be there and her not showing up would raise some awkward and uncomfortable questions for Elena in the days after the wedding. To protect Ana as the Prime Minister, Downing Street wouldn't think twice about releasing the invite to show the world what she had done so that it could never be said that Elena hadn't been invited to the wedding. The Office of the Prime Minister would be protected above an individual's interest, always.

He knocked on the heavy door, glancing over his shoulder as he waited for it to be answered. The last thing he needed was to be photographed here by a pap but he needed to do this now, things had gone too far and maybe Elena would listen to what he thought and had to say on her behaviour recently and what he thought she now needed to do to redeem herself before it was too late. That was the hope anyway.

Being back here made his stomach churn in a way he had not expected. Nothing had changed in the years since he'd lived here with Elena. He vividly remembered arriving on this street with other runaway boys, how they'd taught him to approach the wealthy folk for some spare change so that he'd at least be able to get a hot meal and maybe a bed for the night. It had been an adventure really until that day he dared knock this particular door and was invited in for a drink only to never have left. A cold shiver run down his spine, no, he wasn't going to let his mind go there because he didn't want to remember how they'd started.

The grade two listed Mayfair mansion was owned by Elena's husband, but he lived in an apartment in central London where he could bring home his string of women while keeping the façade of the heard-working dutiful husband only when necessary. It had always reminded Christian of the house in Mary Poppins when he had been a child, the four visible floors from street level, with different windows on each floor and a black fenced area on the first floor. Behind the door it didn't have that old Victorian feel though, the modern upgrades had bought it very much into the twenty-first century and of course, Elena's prided dungeon space had been anything but a Disney Movie.

The large black door swung open and Christian's eyes fell on the living breathing Elena Lincoln for the first time in a decade. He watched as a multitude of emotions registered on her face, and he thought it pretty amazing that he could still read her considering the amount of work she'd recently had done. The years hadn't been kind to her, but she'd spent a fortune keeping up her appearance.

"Christian what are you doing here?" Elena asked, her eyebrows managing to lift just slightly as she finally settled on surprise at seeing her former submissive, the last person she imagined, standing there on the stoop. Folding her arms across her chest, she stood in the hallway of her Mayfair home foot tapping away as though impatient though Christian knew it was an instruction for him to get moving. It had been one of her signs when he'd been her submissive, he'd always known when she stood like this if he didn't get a move on he'd be punished… and more often than not he wasn't fast enough but if she had expected him to respond as her submissive once had she was mistaken, he wasn't answerable to Elena Lincoln anymore.

"I've come to speak to you." Christian shrugged ensuring he spoke slower than usual. "I think it's time and it's the least I deserve after ten years of silence." He added.

"You know why you had ten years of silence. We agreed." Elena replied coldly already walking away, the door remaining open so that Christian could follow her into the house he once called home. He hurried in, a quick glance over his shoulder as he did.

He followed her down the long, white-walled hallway with its bright chandeliers lighting the way and knowing exactly where she was heading he followed her up the first flight of steps they went into Elena's private living room, a room most guests didn't get to see. It had barely changed in the ten years since Christian had last been there. There were new curtains framing the large square windows that overlooked the busy London street, but the white baroque walls were the same, the marble fireplace the same and the coldness of the room very much the same.

"Well, I thought when circumstances changed, you'd have at least been in touch," Christian stated dryly trying not to remember how Elena had paraded him naked around this room, a collar around his neck, a leash in her hand. It made him feel sick to remember the relationship they had shared, how she had made him her pet.

"What circumstances was that Christian?" She bit. "When you started fucking my Education Minister? When my Education Minister walked out on me? Or when my Education minister became Leader of the Opposition… or maybe it was when she became Prime Minister and took my job from me or was it when you announced your engagement?" Elena was having none of it, she was growling at Christian, her face was hard, teeth gritted together. She stood in the centre of the room, her arms across her chest and Christian was surprised to find her on the defensive like this.

"I love her Elena. She's my world." Christian explained, feeling he owed her that even though he wasn't sure why, after all, she was the one who'd broken off contact with him when she became Prime Minister and his life had gone the way it had. She couldn't hold him responsible for meeting someone and falling in love, it could have happened with anyone at any time when he was out in the world, alone and she was in Downing Street being Prime Minister.

"You don't know what love is Christian." Elena scoffed. "She's used you, just like she used me. Ana Steele only gives a damn about herself and getting to the top. Congratulations, by the way, you did an amazing job getting her there." The fire was lit in her cold blue eyes and Christian gave an awkward chuckle and rubbed at his chin. It was Elena who didn't know what love was, he didn't think she was capable of feeling it or showing it, he'd never seen it in all the years they'd shared together.

He also found it amusing that Elena was crediting him with Ana's success. He claimed no responsibility for Ana's rise to the top. All he'd done was open Ana's eyes to what was going on in the world, he hadn't meant for anything that followed afterwards, moving to Labour and becoming leader and then Prime Minister, well, that was all Ana if anything, he'd advised her against switching parties at the risk of losing her seat in the following election.

"Fuck you Elena, she got there by herself, by being the amazing human being she is. That girl has the most amazing heart, you saw some of it but when she showed it to you, what did you do? You kicked her out." Christian said, trying not to let Elena's hatred for Ana anger him. Christian knew that Elena would take great joy in making him angry. Anger, after all, was a loss of control and he didn't want Elena to be responsible for that.

"Heart gets you nowhere in politics." Elena spat turning away and walking towards her long glass bar on the left-hand side of the room. Christian recalled many a drink he'd poured at that bar for himself and Elena.

"It got her to be Prime Minister." Christian smirked. Elena's shoulders stiffened further as she reached for a bottle of her favourite Gin. One… two… she caught herself and forced her body to relax again before pouring herself her drink. She only ever drank Gin straight up when she was stressed and he wondered if Elena knew Christian recalled these smaller details. Christian smirked harder, maybe he didn't need to worry about losing control, he was pushing Elena in that direction instead.

"Yes, well, I hate to disagree with you there." Elena appeared unfazed when she turned back towards him, drink in hand. He watched as her blood-red nails tinkled against the glass before she took it to her red painted lips. Every move she made was deliberate, the way she tipped her head back to show he long neck, the way she squared her shoulders a little as she swallowed, ensuring Christian saw every movement of the harsh liquid down her throat. He displayed no emotion, but her attempt at drawing his attention to her sexually caused a fire to burn in his stomach. He had no interest in her like that, so her efforts were wasted.

She was a sore loser that was for sure, she clearly couldn't stand Ana, but Christian didn't know where that had started. When he'd met Ana, there was clearly some kind of mutual respect there between the two women. Elena wouldn't have appointed someone she didn't like or respect into a ministerial position. However, the question was when had that changed? "Does she treat you right?" Elena's eyes dipped towards the floor as she realised her seduction attempt had garnered no reaction as it once would have.

"She loves me," Christian replied, unaware of what Elena was really asking.

"Is she… submissive?" Almost vulnerable blue eyes met grey but Christian knew it was an act. Elena was never vulnerable; her self-control may have been dampened recently but she would never openly show any kind of vulnerability.

"You know the answer to that." Christian replied, he knew Elena was fully aware of the nature of his relationship with Ana. Ana herself had made it quite clear when Elena had tried to be Domineering in her direction, showing her collar off to make Elena fully aware that only one person dominated her.

"She doesn't seem the type." Elena mused quietly. She was up to something, Christian could see that nothing Elena did was ever without its purpose and he had learned that the hard way all those years ago, now he knew to always look for the intention behind her behaviour. "Tell me what she's like." She purred.

"Why?" Christian replied, he didn't want to be sharing any information about Ana and his sex life with Elena, it was like handing over a loaded gun and he wasn't that stupid.

"It's been ten years." Elena purred further. "I've been lonely." She sauntered slowly towards him, her hips swaying with every slow, intentional step.

"I'm supposed to believe you've gone ten years without a submissive?" Christian snorted, he couldn't believe that for one moment.

"I couldn't risk exposure." Elena replied feigning some kind of innocence, her voice soft and sultry. "It was too risky to have a plaything. You were the only person I trusted by the time I became Prime Minister, but you were compromised because of the club."

"Well, you could have plenty of time on your hands I don't think it will take you long to find someone who's interested." Christian replied getting the feeling she was trying to make him feel guilty that he had Ana while she had no one.

"Tell me about Ana, what does she like?" Elena purred she stopped inches away but Christian stood his ground, Elena could try all her tactics on him, he knew them better than she did and they wouldn't work. He shook his head an amused chuckle passing his lips, he wasn't going to share any details with her. "Is she like you? You seemed to enjoy being told what to do to me, you liked it when I would sit on your face." Her hand reached up and grasped softly at his chin.

"Elena." Christian warned gently pushing her hand away.

"Do you remember that Christian?" She purred coming even closer, her face coming near his neck so that he could feel the heat of her breath on his skin blue eyes met grey as he looked down at her. "You loved nothing more than eating my pussy while I had you locked in a Chasity device that prevented you from even getting hard. You'd always come good when I'd let you." She grabbed his penis and gasped finding it as limp as it had been when he walked in. Christian smirked, remembering what he and Elena did wouldn't get him hard. "You did get good at self-control." She spat giving him a squeeze.

"No Elena, what you and I did doesn't affect me anymore," Christian said, still smirking. Elena took her hand away and Christian leaned down to her, his lips near her ear "What gets me going is seeing Ana all tied up, watching that perfect body of hers all wrapped up in rope, the way her little lip gets sucked between her teeth when I flog her when she's suspended in the air. Her strength when I put her in an awkward position, the stress on her face when I get her to beg me for something." He felt his cock twitch and he took Elena's hand to his penis so she could feel it too. She jumped back, snatching her hand away as if she's been burnt. He cocked an eyebrow and smirked, satisfied that he'd taught her a lesson. "You will never do to me what Ana does."

"Well, you say she's perfect, not so perfect after those bombs was she? Did she have to have a skin graft on that arm? Still looks like a raw piece of meat." Elena turned and walked away as she spoke, a tactic Christian knew was to regain some control after he'd stripped it from her. He'd give her that though, he hadn't come here to fight with her.

"Scars and all that girl is beautiful." Christian's words were slow, firm and deliberate, keeping his temper in check, though if she went on insulting Ana he wasn't sure how long he'd be able to do that. "Those scars just remind me how strong she is and what she's survived." Elena just scoffed. She didn't think Ana was beautiful or strong, or she didn't want Christian to think she did anyway. Bottom line was that girl had something, she wanted, and she knew now there was nothing she could do to get it back.

"What are you doing here Christian?" She asked again, trying with every ounce of her might to control herself, something she hadn't been doing such a good job of recently though she appeared much more defeated now, her shoulders low and her eyes sagging inwards.

"To tell you it's time to bow out gracefully." Christian softened in response, he needed her to see the damage she was doing to herself and she wouldn't be able to do that if they were having a battle of wills.

"Don't be stupid." She scoffed stiffening again.

"Elena, any good you did over the last ten years in the country's mind is being destroyed on a day-by-day basis. Do you understand how much the public love Ana, how much she means to them? She's the People's Politician. They dislike you for the way you have been treating her in regards to Islington, but if you bow out now they'll forget about that. But if you carry on the way you're going, you're going to destroy everything you've built. What do you want your legacy to be?"

Elena didn't say a word, she couldn't. Her face hardened; her lips pursed. She was so angry she wanted to scream but she knew it wouldn't phase Christian and would achieve nothing. Instead, she walked back to the bar and poured herself another gin before throwing it down her throat. She placed the glass on the bar with a clunk before turning back to Christian.

"Why are you marrying her?" Elena questioned.

"Because I love her, I want to spend the rest of my life with her." Christian replied immediately, it wasn't a hard question at all.

"You can't love."

"Don't mistake your beliefs and capabilities for mine. I'm capable of love and I love Ana." Christian said sternly. "When I wake up in the morning, I look at her and I feel lighter than I have ever been in my life. When she's not with me, I yearn for her and I want to know if she's thinking of me as much as I'm thinking of her. When we go to bed at night, she is my last thought, I watch her sleep and can't stop thinking how much of a lucky son of a bitch I am, and that she loves me too."

She threw her head back exposing her long neck and cackled. Christian stared at her and shook his head, Elena would never understand because it was Elena who couldn't love, the only thing Elena loved in her life was power and she'd recently had all her power stripped away from her. If anything, that made her dangerously at risk of becoming unhinged.

"It's time to step down Elena. Get your head together before you ruin your legacy."

"The only legacy that's going to be ruined is that snotty-nosed, spoilt brat you call a girlfriend." She spat, her face reddening as she lost any ounce of control she had left. Christian was here dictating to her what to do, she had been his Mistress, yet here he was trying to dominate her! No, she couldn't stand for that, Christian had been the last piece of control she'd had after losing her job as Prime Minister.

Christian flew at Elena, forcing her back up against the bar. The anger was pulsating through his veins as he trapped Elena between his arms. She was lucky she was a woman, if a man spoke like that about Ana he wouldn't hesitate in punching them in the face. Fear gripped at Elena as she felt the heat of Christian's breath on her face. Realisation dawned on her that she had no control over him anymore, whatever submissive he had been had gone, Ana had stripped him of that too.

"Ana is everything you're not Elena, so, don't speak about her like that. The only spoilt brat I see around here is you. You're throwing your toys out of the pram because she beat you but that was your own doing, the lack of respect you showed to her and the victims of Islington was your own undoing. Ana didn't need to do much after that, the country had already fallen as much in love with her as I had. Now, do the right thing for yourself and step down."

He peeled himself away and headed for the door, afraid that if Elena said something else he wouldn't be able to stop himself from hitting her and he'd be damned if he'd let her push him that far. As he made his way down the steps towards the hallway and his exit he heard her footsteps coming behind him but he didn't stop, he needed to get out of there.

"Don't marry her. You'll be making the biggest mistake of her life!" Elena screeched from behind him but Christian just laughed. Maybe it would be the biggest mistake of her life, but he couldn't imagine being without her and he was selfish like that. If she was stupid enough to marry him then he'd take that, he wanted her, all of her.
