"It was lovely to see you, Dad" Patsy said as she hugged him.
"Likewise, Sweetheart" he replied, returning the hug.
"Be good Jay" Patsy told her little brother as she hugged him. She then said goodbye to Emma.
"You two take care of each other" her Dad said.
"We will" Harry replied, putting his arm around Patsy's back.
"You all stay safe" Patsy told them. With a final wave they boarded the Newton.
As they started to walk away, a young girl ran up to Harry.
"Hi Lieutenant Kim" she smiled.
"Hello Naomi" Harry smiled back.
"Naomi Wildman, pleasure to meet you" she offered a hand for Patsy to shake.
"Ensign Patsy Thomson" Patsy replied, accepting the handshake.
"Where are your parents" Harry asked. Naomi pointed behind her. A blonde human woman and a Ktarian male waved and approached them.
"Hi Harry, it's good to see you" the woman hugged Harry.
"It's good to see you as well Sam" Harry replied, then greeted the Ktarian. "Patsy this is Naomi's parents, Sam Wildman and Gres. Sam, Gres, Naomi, this is Patsy Thomson" Harry made the introduction. "She's my girlfriend."
"It's a pleasure to meet you" Patsy smiled.
"Likewise," Sam replied. Gres had explained that his full name was Greskrendtregk. Not many humans could pronounce it, hence the nickname.
"Patsy is a nickname too; my actual name is Patience. I think my mom hoped I would have some" Patsy joked. The others all laughed at that.
"It appears congratulations are in order?" Sam asked, smiling. Patsy realized her hand was resting on the slight bump.
"Oh, yes. Thank you" Patsy returned the smile with a laugh.
"I did that all the time too" Sam told Patsy.
"As did B'Elanna. Looking back, I remember you doing it before we all knew" Harry chuckled.
"I did" Sam laughed. "I was doing it from the moment I knew she was there. I think a lot of the crew, suspected at least, before I announced it." Sam turned to Patsy, "I was Science Officer on Voyager when we were stranded in the Delta Quadrant. Naomi was a little stow-away. I only found out I was pregnant a few weeks into our journey." Patsy nodded, indicating her understanding.
"So you grew up on Voyager then?" Patsy addressed Naomi.
"Yep. I was Admiral Janeway's Captain's Assistant" Naomi told her with a grin.
"And a very good assistant you were" Harry told Naomi, who beamed at him. They chatted for a little while, Sam and Harry catching up, Naomi, Patsy and Gres chiming in occasionally.
"Anyway, we should be going" Sam eventually said. "It was lovely to meet you, Patsy."
"Likewise," Patsy replied.

"It must have been hard for Sam," Patsy said as they curled up in bed that night, "raising a child on her own, thousands of lightyears from home."
"It was, but we all helped as much as we could" Harry replied. "When you're together that long, you become close, become almost a family."
"I imagine you would" Patsy smiled.
