– Ellen's pov –

When I opened my eyes, I was in the same exact place as when I woke up from my nap yesterday, just a bit darker. Still laying down, my eyes caught sight of a huge pendulum clock. It was about 4 a.m. I definitely have not been dreaming. I sat up on the bed and saw my suitcase and... Draco.

He was sleeping on his arm, sitting on a chair beside me. I felt sorry for him and a sense of embarrassment rushed in as I remembered falling asleep while he probably struggled carrying me all the way to – this place is probably the nurse. I guess Draco isn't too much of a bad person inside. Actually, I thought he would make a really good friend.

I quietly stretched out my hand to touch my ankle to check how swollen it was, but I couldn't feel any pain. My ankle was perfectly normal now. I was relieved. As a cheerleader, there was nothing worse than hurting my ankle.

Oh well, there's no more cheering for me anyways. I couldn't imagine a bunch of witches and wizards playing football. They probably don't play sports. I thought and sighed.

I stared blankly at Draco, trying to decide what to do. I didn't want to wake him up. He seemed to be deeply asleep. I quietly got out of the bed and sat on the floor in front of the suitcase. I flinched a bit as my legs touched the cold floor. I unlocked the buckles of the suitcase and looked through what was inside.

I first saw the neatly folded school uniform – white blouse, the same green robe and tie as Draco's, and grey skirt and cardigan all with a green House logo with a snake – and I liked it. It seemed pretty elegant.

Then I saw a bunch of books that were concealed behind the uniform. This is why the suitcase was so heavy! I was surprised to see my notebooks with all my notes perfectly preserved as well. As I further searched through, my hands found a rectangular shaped wooden box with a gold logo on top that read: Ollivander's, Makers of Fine Wands...

"Wands?" I placed my hand on my mouth, trying to not let my excitement wake Draco up. My heart began skipping a beat and I carefully opened the box.

"Oh... my god." I whispered silently. It was a wand, placed in the center of a black protective cushion.

This is my wand now. My heart was racing now. It was such a beautiful wand.

My eyes then saw something engraved on the inside of the box.

Arya Lascelles... I let out a small gasp.

Must be my mother. I outlined the engraved name with my fingertip and my heart fluttered. Then I looked back down at the wand.

When I took it out, I felt a tickling sensation that spread from the tips of my hands throughout my entire body. Suddenly, a blinding light beamed out from the wand and I quickly looked away with my eyes closed.

Soon after, the light was gone. I slowly turned back to take a look at the wand again. The emerald gem that decorated the end of the wand was now shining. I hurriedly put it back in the box, surprised. When the wand left my hand, the gem stopped shining. I slowly picked it up again and it lighted up again. It was truly magical.

"I really like you." I smiled at the wand and I could have been tripping but it's gotten brighter as if trying to show that it feels likewise.

I moved on to pack my stuff back in the suitcase, then my eyes caught sight of a sealed letter at the bottom of the suitcase. I took it out and inside was a feather and a letter. The letter read:

.

Dear Ellen Lascelles,

I put this in your suitcase just in case you get lost.

Blow the feather lightly and say:

"Take me to (your desired destination)"

It will light up and take you to wherever you need to be.

I hope this could be helpful.

Best regards,

Albus Dumbledore

.

"Magical feather?" Interesting, I thought. I put it aside and that's when I realised that Draco was already awoke and staring at me with his face still placed on his arm.

"You up?"

"You expected me to not wake up after all those noises you made?" He furrowed his brows.

Can you talk nicely for once, please? This sentence lingered at my mouth, but I kept it in, remembering all the help that he offered.

"I'm sorry but you didn't have to stay, really." He really didn't have to stay. I mean that's what I thought.

"You don't know the password to the dorm. I don't want you to be waking everyone up in the middle of the night or worse, spending your first night at Hogwarts in the corridor. What would Dumbledore think of me if that happens." It was about him, duh. I just grabbed the magical feather on the floor and stuffed it inside the suitcase.

Draco and I left the nurse and walked downstairs and soon arrived at a Dungeon-like place. Draco said "Pure-blood" and a passage behind the door was revealed.

"Welcome to the Slytherin common room." Draco smirked at me and led me inside.

The room was a large, low underground room with rough stone walls and ceiling, from which round, greenish lamps were hanging on the chairs. A fire was crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece. I liked it.

"That's your way to the girls' dorm." I saw two separate passages attached to the common room and Draco was pointing at the left one.

"unless you feel like..." He smirked and titled his head towards the other passage.

"Ew!" When I realised what he meant, I slapped his back.

"Ouch! Just joking! Nobody would want to... with you, anyways" He laughed with a condescending look, scanning me up and down. This time I was going to slap him harder, but he moved to the side and I almost fell again, losing my balance. Draco caught my arms to prevent that from happening.

"You really can't keep yourself away from the floor, can you? Ohh... Or from me? Ah, now I see why you're a Slytherin. I see your cunning move."

"Ugh!" I growled at his implication, pulling myself away from him. He then grabbed my chin and put his face closer to mine just like how he did back in the Hall.

"Don't fall for me. I'll break your heart, Lascelles." He smirked and let me go, but I felt the impulse to make him angry as well. I stretched my arm upwards, grabbed his chin, and pulled his face closer to mine, just like how Draco did it.

"You, don't fall for me. I'll break your heart, Malfoy." I smirked, and I could see his flaming eyes. I wanted to enjoy his maddened look but I couldn't. His eyes reminded me of Christian. I shuddered at his thought and quickly let go of Draco. My face turned rigid.

As I turned to enter the girls' dorm, Draco grabbed my shoulder and pushed me towards one of the couches. He looked incandescent.

"Nice try, but I warn you, Ellen -" Draco's cold whisper overlapped with Christian's loud yell.

"Ellen... Ahhhhhh!" Christian's voice was echoing in my head and my left cheek that he... slapped was aching.

"- don't you dare provoke me, ever again." I was seeing Christian.

– Draco's pov –

All of a sudden, she seemed terrified. Her eyes were filled with horror as if she'd just witnessed a murder. She was trembling and her eyes shaking. I did give her my angry look but didn't think it would be this impactful.

Why is she not hitting back?

I smiled in triumph but inside, I felt weird, seeing her like that. Seeing her look at me like I'm a devil. It definitely was not a good feeling. It enraged me.

Why does she gotta look at me like that?

I walked away from her in anger.
