Nighttime fell over the trio's house. Each of them have their own rooms. Sonic's on the left, Tails' in the middle, Knuckles' on the right. Sonic and Tails are sound asleep, and Knuckles should be… but, let's see how this works.

"Tails?" Whispered a voice, "Tails...? ...Tails!"
Tails opened the door with blearily eyes seeing Knuckles' face infront of him.
"I gotta go." He said, agitated.
"Go?" Asked Tails, "Go where?"
"You know, go." He repeated, "...Bad! And I don't know where the bathroom is…"
"Oh, go!" Tails said, realising, "Why didn't you say so? Come on, let's go."
They rush downstairs, the full moon coming through the window, Tails leading the way.
"When you gotta go, you gotta go."
"Jungle Boogie" starts playing. Knuckles is high in a tree; Tails and Sonic are at the bottom.
"Young echidna." Cried Tails, "get down from there!"
"Whoo-hoo!" Knuckles jumped from one branch to the other, "All right!" He then looked down, "Hey—you guys look like ants down there."
"I'm counting to three."
"Yahoooo!" Knuckles leaps onto a smaller branch, which breaks under his weight.
"Uh-oh." Sonic said quietly.
Knuckles falls, silently, as Tails counts.
"One... Two..."
As Tails counts "Two", Knuckles starts gliding and smiling as he does so.
"Whee!"
"Get clear!" Sonic pulled Tails away.
Then, Knuckles crashes into Sonic and Tails by mistake.
"...Three." Tails sighed, muffled as his arm collapses.
Switch back to the sleeping scene again; "The Echidna Sleeps Tonight" resumes.

"Tails?"
The fox woke up suddenly, "Oh! ...Again? I already showed you where…"
"No." Knuckles sighed, "I'm thirsty, and I don't know which cupboard has the glasses in them."
Tails and Knuckles are walking downstairs again, Tails a bit more annoyed.
"You know this means you'll be up again about two hours from now." Tails told him.
"Jungle Boogie" resumes. Knuckles is floating happily down a river as Tails frantically paddles after him.
"Hang on, Knuckles!" He cried, "I'll save you!"
"Yahoooo!" Knuckles cried as he went over the waterfall.
Sonic snatches Knuckles out of midair from an overhanging branch.
"Oh come on! I was having fun!"
Tails goes falling past them helplessly.
"Whoooaaaa!"
Then, he flies back up to the duo, looking earnest.
Switch back to "The Echidna Sleeps Tonight."
Knuckles was looking even more miserable. "Tails?"
"What now?"
"Uh… I need to wash my hands, and now the bathroom sink's broken."
Back to the staircase. Tails is plodding now, slumped over with a toolkit.
"We're gonna get old walking down this thing."
"Jungle Boogie" resumes. Knuckles and Tails are in the air, racing along, while Sonic's on the ground.
"Can't keep up with me in the air, you two!"
"We'll see about that!"
But, Knuckles accidentally crashes into Tails again, and they both crash into Sonic at the same time.
"Ugh…"
"The Echidna Sleeps Tonight" again.
MS: In the jungle, the mighty jungle

"Tails?"
"Aah!" Tails begrudgingly opens the door. "What have you got against the concept of a good night's sleep, huh?"
"Actually," Knuckles sighed, "I, uh... I had a bad dream."
"Oh. Well, uh..." Tails realised. Shouting at his new brother, who just experienced a nightmare? How was he going to fix this?!
He needed backup, and knocked on Sonic's bedroom door.
"Ugh…" He muttered sleepily, "I didn't eat 'em all this time."
"Junior had a bad dream."
"Ohh..." Sonic looked overcome at Knuckles' sad eyes.
"Why don't we all have a snooze downstairs? It'll be like a sleepover!"
"I'll get the sleeping bags." Tails added hopefully.
"All right!" Knuckles face lit up like a Christmas tree and he rushed downstairs with his friends "The Echidna Sleeps Tonight" continuing—but this time, the group rush down excited.
The three of them lay out in the sleeping bags with pillows.

"Good night." Knuckles said from his 'bed'.
"Sleep tight." Tails went on.
"Dream of chili dogs tonight!" Sonic falls asleep and snores.
Knuckles giggles and falls asleep contently with a plush Tails and Sonic he had gotten. Tails falls asleep too as "The Echidna Sleeps Tonight" continues.

Meanwhile things in Angel Island things went from bad to worse over the years. The mobains were leaving their homes to get away from the tyranny of Finitevus. Among those who were leaving the island were Rouge and Shadow with their respective mothers, Sally, Mina and Nicole also went with their respective boyfriends Monkey Khan, Manic and Rotor. Sonia, Charmy, Mellisa and Ivo also left the island. Elsewhere on the island, Amy, Cosmo, Vanilla and Cream were arrested for not having money to pay tributes to the guardian. And Espio had become a prisoner of the guardian.
At that time the male echidnas had gathered.
"I am sure that we achieve something if we talk to him." said George.
"I do not think so." Pachacamac sighed, "I knew him since we were kids and he is not the kind of person who'd accept criticism, even constructive criticism.
"What have we got to lose from trying?" Asked Luger, "if we want to help our families, I think it's worth it."
"Luger, if we make a wrong move, our families may be killed." Darwin advised, "We don't want that."
"I'm worried too." Wynmacher put in, "Finitevus is letting Rogues run loose on this place. The kids may get hurt."
"No doubt we are all concerned about this matter," Kragok coincided, "but if we don't something, worse things will occur for all inhabitants of the island."
They realised that Kragok was right. They had to do something to stop Finitevus before this got out of control.
Before leaving the 6 echidnas asked Eric and Teri-Lu (childhood friends of Pachacamcac and the passed away Guardian Locke) to take care of their families while they went to talk to Finitevus.
