...Day Life...
Several days had passed since the raid on the Shie Hassaikai's hideout, and so for Aurdel things went back to normal. Or, well, at least whatever could be reasonably called normal now. Most of his time was spent doing what was really expected of him, teaching at UA. Because the licensing exams had happened by now, it meant that his role would be slightly changed. While he would also be teaching his own class, he would also become a secondary teacher for classes regarding physical education. On top of that, he would also be substituting for Present Mic to teach English if he was ever unable to show up. And after hearing what and how he'd been teaching them, he really hoped that would be more often than not. But that aside, his routine was about the same. He would teach classes for the majority of the day before heading out at night onto the streets to do his duties as a Hero. Of course he would also be trying out something new, he would be allowing anyone who didn't currently have a work study but had their license to work with him during those 'night shifts.' He knew one student who particularly thrilled about that, but that meant they would simply have to work on getting their license so they don't fall behind their classmates. Of course right now he couldn't do that, it was still early in the day so he was working in the workshop on his gear. On the table nearby he'd disassembled his MA5B and had been working on the receiver, creating a variable adapter for other rounds so he wouldn't have to worry about running out ammo. However he was going to have to make himself his own weapon as well, one that was powerful. And for it he was going to take inspiration from both the M99 Stanchion alongside a weapon prototype he knew was in development with Section three's materials group.
The materials hadn't been easy to come by, but after his business trip he had more than enough to work with. He based the magnetic sections off of how he knew MAC guns to perform, along with using the magnetic plates that worked together to keep up his armor's shields as an example for the manipulation of energy alongside possibly being able to tap into his suit's power systems to fire the weapon and keep it from being used by an enemy. For the weapons base he had to build using a Titanium-A alloy, ensuring that if there was a malfunction with the weapon and it misfired then it wouldn't be a hail of shrapnel traveling fast enough to kill anyone in an almost mile radius. Perhaps he was being hyperbolic with that distance, but one could never be too careful. He- "Hatsume, I told you that I need the impact gun already. I understand that if you need if for certain bolts you can use it, but if I don't have it when I need it then it could result in the weapon being misaligned." He held his hand out, the girl handed him the tool back.
"Sorry about that, I just really needed it!" She said with a grin, "I needed it to put on the finishing touches for my Powered Suit Mark Two!"
"You called the six previous iterations of it the 'Mark Two.'"
"Those don't count, those were just prototypes. This is the real thing now," he folded her arms proudly, "I decided to combine some of my old babies into this thing so it would perform in tip top shape."
"Like what?"
"Well there's no fun in just saying, I'll show you!" She pulled out a remote, Aurdel braced for the worst. "Some of these were things that I used in the sports festival. Like this wire cannon!" She pushed a button, a harpoon-like projectile fired out of a wrist on the right arm of the suit and plunged into the wall. He was almost certain it had overpenetrated and nearly hit the wires and cables inside of the wall. "With this baby, you can use it like a grappling hook!" She pushed the button again and, like he'd surmised, it had overpenetrated. The result of the mishap caused an entire chunk of the wall to be pulled out rather than the suit coming closer to it. "Oops, looks like it still needs a little work."
"I think little understates it," he shook his head, "I don't really mean with the wire cannon itself, I just mean the whole suit. You wouldn't be using grappling hooks in a place like this or on walls like this." He knocked on one of the walls of the workshop to demonstrate his point, "But what else do you have?"
"Well, I also upgraded it with my hover soles and the jetpack I used!" She pushed one button, the suit slightly floated off the ground. Those must have been the hover soles at work. She pushed it again, jets of fire streamed out from the back of the suit of armor and it shot into the air. It then smashed into the ceiling.
"Again, I think it still needs some work. I don't think that most people who use a jetpack want to quite literally shatter the glass ceiling. Regardless it's still all impressive that you were able to get all of these working together."
"Well I was able to do it with some inspiration from your armor. I heard that you're able to increase your mobility by reducing the friction in the bottom of your boots, so that's why I integrated the hover soles."
"And if they work how I think, it'll reduce the amount of physical stress placed on whoever's wearing it. Of course then the only issue is power usage, as hovering a suit of armor above the ground isn't exactly an energy free-" Almost as of it heard his words, the hover soles shut off and the suit of armor crashed back down onto the ground, "Process."
"Of course, but I should be able to make a large enough battery to support it now with the supplies that you brought back from your business trip. Say, where did you get them from anyways?"
"Eh, just found them around. I actually had it offered to me for a lower price because of my Hero work."
"Really? I'm surprised, this is really high quality metal. The kind they would put on rocket ships or jets."
"Let's just chalk it up to my charismatic personality," he went back to his own work, "Also, you should probably clean all that up before Powerloader gets back."
"Ah! You're right!" And she went straight away to fix the mess she'd made. Aurdel just shook his head slightly in amusement.
At the same time of all of this the TV in the room was playing idly in the background, eventually coming to the news after several advertisements. "...And now for your morning news report. Tensions continue to escalate in Asia as Taiwanese troops perform defensive exercises within their borders, demonstrating the difficulty that would result in an attempted invasion of the now fortress island by Chinese forces. However the People's Liberation Army did not let this go without response, performing drills just off the coastline of the mainland. Many still speculate whether this may or may not lead to an armed conflict between the two nations after years of relative peace. In other news power outages strike Central Asia due to unknown circumstances. Many blame it on the old and outdated Soviet era power grid that still exists in many of these countries, however recent examinations by electric contractors reveal that the systems were well maintained prior to the failure and put forward the idea that they may have been damaged either by solar winds or a minor carrington event, though scientists have not found proof of either occurring recently. Some have claimed it to be the work of saboteurs or secret weapon experiments, though proof of neither exists. "
"In Europe the possibility of an energy crisis is one that some governments fear. Much of power within the EU comes from resources imported from Russia, either via the Nord Stream, Northern Lights and South Stream pipelines or uranium imports to power the nuclear reactors. However as the Russian government cited security concerns this vital lifeline may be soon cut off. Negotiations are currently taking place between the EU and Russia to continue the importing of fuels. In the United States, US officials continue to refuse further comment on the incident regarding a US Air Force base and missile deployment center on the American west coast. Many who live in the area reported arms fire and the use of quirks, alongside the deployment and destruction of armed aircraft. The official comment on the matter came from Lieutenant General Edward Scotts, the commanding officer of the base, saying that it had been an experimental live fire readiness exercise, also commenting that anyone who thought there might be involvement with a third party regarding the matter, 'out of their minds.'"
"Say, Mr. Aurdel."
"Yes Hatsume?" He turned his head.
"You got a new backup generator for the school, right?"
"Yeah, fusion power. It's deep underground and heavily shielded, we won't have to worry about it leaking radiation or melting down by accident."
"Sure, but aren't those things really expensive? Especially when they're so small."
"It's not particularly small, the one in the back of my suit is smaller. But I was able to build it as small as I could without significant power loss."
"You built it? Where did you get the materials?"
"Now that's a secret I can't tell you, if there's anyone I don't want building nuclear devices it's going to be you," he changed the channel without too much attention being drawn to doing so. "I'd prefer you work on making safe, high capacity batteries before you try strapping a generator to the back of your armor."
"Whatever you say, I personally think I'm ready." Aurdel turned back. In his quick changing of the channel it somehow ended up on an interview that had taken place the previous day, one of Mt. Lady and Midnight. He could only imagine why those two were specifically chosen, especially together.
"Mt. Lady, Midnight, it's great to have you two back. Especially you Mt. Lady since you just came back onto the Hero scene," The host of the interview said. Aurdel noticed that the two women were put on opposite sides of the table, it made him wonder just what exactly had happened the last time they were being interviewed. "I'm sure that viewers of the show will recognize these two faces from a previous and smash hit episode, where we asked them about the necessity of sexiness for Hero work." ...What? He raised an eyebrow suspiciously at the TV, they couldn't be serious.
"I sure remember it, and I remember what she did to my outfit," Midnight said with a tightened fist and a forced smile.
"What I did to your outfit? What you did to mine was completely unacceptable," Mt. Lady responded, the same gesture coming from her.
"Let's just calm down, I'm sure we can let the past be the past," the host said, trying to calm the two of them down. "The reason we wanted to invite you back was so you could answer a question of a different but somewhat similar manner, Heroes that cover up almost everything."
"What do you mean?" Mt. Lady tilted her head.
"Well obviously there are Heroes out there that cover up nearly all of their body. For example, there is the Equipped Hero: Yoroi Musha, though even he shows his face. For more completely covered examples there is Thirteen, Kamui Woods and even the new and upcoming Hero Spartan."
Midnight picked up the conversation, "Like I said last time, some of it may come out of the need for utility. And while some of us relish in the public spotlight," Midnight flared at Mt. Lady, "Not everyone wants to be in the middle of it. Often when Heroes are recognized off duty they'll be quickly surrounded by recording phones or even great fans. I can say myself that I've had my share of unwanted public appearances while I was out shopping."
"Why, you didn't have the time to put on your makeup?" Mt. Lady stifled a laugh, Midnight shook her fist at her. "I can understand why some Heroes want to keep their faces hidden, especially the stealthy brooding types who tend to be the sexiest." … "And I can say myself that I've seen some of the faces of those Heroes, and they live up to the expectations."
"You have?" The host cocked an eyebrow, interested. "Would you mind describing them to us?"
"That I can do," she said with a wink, "I'm going to start with the one everyone is going to be most interested about. Spartan." … What the hell? She hasn't seen his face, not even a portion of it. She'd only seen him exactly two times in person, and neither time did she have any chance to see his face. "He's tall, has blonde flowing hair, green eyes, a clean shave, a strong chin and an untouched perfect face. Really, he's just dreamy," half of what she was a complete lie. He had short black hair with an unnatural streak of gray, blue eyes and a scar on his face just below his right eye.
The only things she'd gotten right were the kind of things you'd expect from the average male who regularly exercised. "That's a load of bull!" Midnight shouted, leaning over the table, "When and why the hell would he visit some two bit dame like you?!"
"Oh I'm the two bit dame granny?!" Mt. Lady shouted.
"Now you've done it, come here!" Midnight shouted, leaping over the table like she was ready to strangle Mt. Lady. The camera turned away for a moment as the crew and the host ran and ducked for cover, the entire studio shaking as the two of them thought. Aurdel had a blank stare on his face behind his helmet.
Out of nowhere a piece of metal came flying through the air and smashed into the TV, completely destroying the screen," Woops, my bad!" Hatsume said.
"Hatsume!" He heard Powerloader shout as the teacher for the support classes arrived and saw the damage she'd caused to the room.
...Over the River and Through the Woods...
"So, can anyone tell me what you think you're going to be doing today?"
"Way too much exercise?" Mineta commented, already unhappy.
"You'd be correct if it actually was too much," he folded his arms, "Now which of you have run an obstacle course?"
"An obstacle course?" Mina commented, surprised, "I thought we were going to do something super hard. We all went through an obstacle course at the school festival, and we all got through."
"Alright, allow me to fix my phrasing. Which of you have run an actually difficult obstacle course?"
"What do you mean actually difficult?!"
"I mean what I say. The obstacle course you ran through had very minimal risk due to the fact you were using your quirks, you weren't exactly putting your body to it's limit. And if you use your as a crutch you may have serious issues down the line."
"Just what do you mean minimal risk?! We were put up against giant robots, had to cross huge chasms and even run across a minefield!"
"If you're going to be a Hero you're not going to be running across literal minefields or crossing between skyscraper roofs, fighting giant robots is debatable." He helps up his finger, "That is why I'm going to be putting you through a hazardous environment course to prepare you for any situation."
"Mr. Aurdel, just what kind of environmental hazards are we going to be encountering?" Midoriya raised his hand.
"I'll answer it, but first I'll tell you something about this specific course," he looked around, "This course was something that me and comrades were trained on, it was constantly changed so that we would never be able to completely fall into muscle memory and lose the skills they were trying to have us build up. If you can't pass this course, you will have been outdone by six years olds." It was silent for a moment.
"Are you trying to imply you did this when you were six years old?!" Most of them shouted, he didn't answer them.
"The initial stretch of the course is a sprint to a cargo net, suspended from a hanging platform. After that is several rope bridges, each one designed so they will flip if too many people walk across it at the same time. Below the rope bridges are a pool of water and rope to climb back up with."
"You're just ignoring our question?!"
"After that are swings onto suspended platforms, poles to slide down, climb up and walk across, a maze suspended in the air that will shift around as you put your weight on it and a part of the course known as the 'Pillars of Loki' where you will be face several environmental effects if you take too long cross. The last stretch is to ring a bell at the top of a ten meter pole, then run back to the starting line."
They looked horribly disheartened, "Just what kind of six year olds were these…?"
"Scared ones who had done a hundred jumping jacks, sit ups, leg lifts, squats, pushups and ran two miles beforehand." He raised the air gun towards the sky, "You have ten seconds to get to the starting line and be ready. And remember, you can't use your quirks." Begrudgingly, all twenty of them went to the finish line. "And by the way, whoever comes last is the one that has to do all the exercise I mentioned earlier. But if I see you fighting, you'll do it anyways." With a little more enthusiasm they prepared themselves. Three… Two… He fired the gun into the air.
"This is insane, but I am not doing all that exercise again!" Mineta shouted, sprinting forward. Midoriya ran forward with the rest of them, being last wasn't an option even if there wasn't a punishment involved. All twenty of them ran forward. Bakugo, Ida, Mina, Tsu and himself were the first five to arrive at the first obstacle. The cargo net was large, suspended from a hanging wooden platform in the air. The moment they all tried to take hold and climb on, the net and platform began to shake violently due to the combinations of movement from them all.
"Careful, you're going to throw us ofF!" Mina's warning turned into a shout as the violent shaking threw her off, puffing up a small cloud of dust as she fell.
"Out of my way extras!" Bakugo purposefully shook the platform after that, being the first to climb up to the top and sprint across the rope bridge that came next.
"We can't fight each other, or none of us are going to get through this," Midoriya said.
"You're right," Ida said, "One of us needs to get up, then pull the rest of us up one by one."
"I can do that!" Midoriya said, taking the lead and quickly climbing up. He stretched out his hand once he was at the top, "Once I help you up just keep going, I'm not going to go until everyone else is up."
"Midoriya…" Ida said, taking his hand and allowing himself to be pulled up. After him came Mina and Tsu, finishing the first group. The second group consisted of Ojiro, Shoji, Momo, Kirishima and Todoroki. They mostly readily accepted his help, though Todoroki did show some hesitation before allowing himself to be pulled up. The third was Aoyama, Uraraka, Koda, Hagakure and Tokoyami. It was a little awkward to pull Uraraka up, his face had gone completely red so he had to turn away as he was lifting her. The last ones were Kaminari, Sato, Sero, Jirou and Mineta.
"I'm at a complete disadvantage here, how am I supposed to get through an obstacle course like this and win when I'm so short?!" Mineta shouted, Midoriya had to lean over the edge to be able to pick him up. At the same time Midoriya's attention went elsewhere when he saw their teacher watching him help them up. He couldn't see his face behind that helmet, so it was hard to tell what he was thinking… "Don't just leave me hanging here Midoriya!"
"Ah, right!" He hoisted Mineta up and onto the platform. After that the rest of them sprinted forward, crossing the bridge but being careful to make sure that not all of them were on it at the same time.
Next came a series of swings onto platforms, going one after another. He could already see that many had went ahead and swung across, some of them still doing so by the time that he'd reached the swings. He allowed the others to go before him, partly so that he could see how they swung across and so he would be the last one. He took a running start and jumped, skipping the first rope and going straight to the second. The way he was moving now was influenced by how he'd seen Mr. Aurdel move, preserving his momentum and increasing it whenever it was needed by rebounding off of nearby objects… That's it, rebounding! Midoriya overswung with his arms, and to many people it would look like he would be sent flying face first into a wooden beam. But he didn't. He minimized his frame and tucked his head in, grabbing hold of the wood that would have hit him and swung up and over it. With enough speed he was now launched into the air, soaring above the rest of the course feet first. A smile flickered on his face as he went over his classmates, going straight past the rest of the swings as they stared in shock. He tucked into a roll as he landed at the other side, the maze. It was just as he'd said, suspended and shifting in the air as people moved throughout. Midoriya honestly wondered how he'd even been able to make such a thing so quickly. He could hear some of his classmates inside, though most were behind him. He was going to need a system to determine which paths were dead ends.
He got an idea. Midoriya ripped the right sleeve off of his PE uniform, breaking it up into smaller pieces. After that he made his way through the maze. There was very little light inside of it, the boards that made up the structure being tightly conformed together and provided little aid. But Midoriya made his way through. He made several turns, lefts and rights. At every path that he determined to lead into a dead end he left a small piece of fabric to show where he'd gone. And doing so extremely simplified the process of eliminating which paths went where, saving him large amounts of time. Only after five minutes did he manage to completely clear the maze, leaving the pieces of fabric on the walls to help guide those who came in after him. The section he came to now was the various metal poles and pipes, forming a jungle gym he had to traverse to cross to the other side. He was going to use the same method as before. WIth a running start he swung across one pole, landing on another and leaping off it to another. By moving quickly he was able to cut the amount of pipes and poles he had to actually use to cross in half, though it certainly was more risky as one of them could have been loose and collapsed. "Ah, Uraraka!"
He swung over and caught Uraraka, who'd been about to fall backwards head first onto one of the pipes. "D-Deku?!" He put her back down so she could stand back up straight.
"S-sorry about that," he said nervously, putting a smile on his face. "I saw that you were going to fall so I just had to do something. Guess I returned the favor, h-huh?" W-what was he saying? He quickly turned his head, as he was looking around for something. "I-I guess we should get moving!"
"R-right!" After that the two of them moved carefully across the rest of the pipes, avoiding any parts of the pipes that may prove hazardous to cross. That meant they were coming to the portion of the course that they knew the least about. "Why do you think they're called the Pillars of Loki?"
"Maybe there's some trick behind it? I'm not sure, he said that there would be some form of environmental effects that occur if you take too long." Midoriya crouched down, "But I don't see anything that could cause any problems for us…?"
"Could he have hidden something in the poles?" Uraraka guessed.
"Maybe…" Midoriya pondered, looking around. "Wait, that's it!" He pointed at one of the poles in the distance. "See that pole over there? There's a really subtle difference near the middle of it, a fracture. If you stood on it for too long it would just collapse under you."
"Hey, you're right!" She pointed at another one, "And that one looks like it's been covered in something to make it extremely slippery."
"There's also one that looks like there's something in it," he shook his head, "He really went all out on this."
"But we can't stop now, right?"
"Right!" He stood up, "Follow my lead!" Midoriya jumped onto the first pole, it was firm and nothing happened. But he knew that it may not last, he had to keep moving. So long as he could avoid the ones that would provide the most immediate danger, then they would be safe. He leaped forward again and again, jumping across the poles.
"Mina, watch out!" Midoriya heard Tsu said, the two of them were ahead of him. And evidently, Mina had taken too long on one of the poles. Tsu jumped over and grabbed her, before what looked like a grenade with the same power as one of the landmines from the school festival went off. The pole completely splintered following the detonation of the device, several others nearby went off in response to the pressure given off by it.
"Is that tear gas?!" Midoriya shouted, watching another one of the poles splinter apart with a cloud of gas emerging from it. He tried to cover his face as much as he could with his PE outfit, though it wasn't much. "We have to move quick!" He led the way forward, jumping across several poles and trying to avoid the dangerous gas now in the middle of the course. Three more minutes of heart pounding jumping ensued before they eventually made it across, he had to catch his breath. Nearly half of the class had made it to this point, the last stretch. The bell.
Just like he'd said the bell was hung at the top of a ten meter tall pole, several ropes and a basket were also present and attached to the pole. "How many people have made it back to the beginning already?" Midoriya asked, panting.
"Bakugo, Ida, Sero and Todoroki made it back, the others are coming in after you now," Ojiro said. Midoriya nodded in acknowledgement, taking in his surroundings. He was going to make sure that everyone got through.
"If you get in the basket," Midoriya pointed, "We'll be able to pull each other up and get to the bell easily."
"You're right, and we can do multiple people at a time. I'll help you."
"Me too!" Kirishima said, "It beats climbing anyways." The three boys took hold of the rope as three of their classmates entered the basket, then they pulled. With a tremendous amount of strength they raised the basket and their three classmates rang the bell. Once those three were down they raised group after group, until they were the last ones to go up. Midoriya pulled with enough strength to lift Kirishima and Ojiro, allowing the two to reach the bell.
"It's your turn now Midoriya," the two said, he climbed into the basket. There was a feeling of catharsis and he finally got up top and rang the bell for himself, taking in the tone that rang in his ears. He wanted to break into celebration the moment his feet touched back down on the ground, but he knew that they still had to get back to the beginning.
"Let's not waste any time!" He said, the other two boys setting off ahead of him. He followed close behind, making sure that he was staggered behind them. When they finally got back to the finish line he saw his other seventeen classmates, and was the last one to cross the finish line.
"All of you, good work," Mr. Aurdel said, looking at them. "Now I'm going to ask all of you a question, but I want you to close your eyes. You'll just have to raise your hand to answer me." Midoriya closed his eyes, as did everyone else. "Which of you were willing to be the last one so that someone else in the class wouldn't have to do the rest of the exercise?" Midoriya raised his hand, he didn't know how everyone else answered. "Now, how many of you have realized that I was going to make all of you do the same exercise anyways regardless of how you placed."
"Huh?!" They opened their eyes and most of them shouted in protest, their teacher simply folded his arms and let their anger roll out onto him. But Midoriya saw Mr. Aurdel look at him, and even behind that helmet something told him that he was proud of him.
"Ready to go out on patrol, Creati?"
"Yes sir Spartan!" Yaoyorozu said, eagerly. He'd found out from looking over records that the time she'd spent at her Hero internship had had very little to actually do with doing any Hero work, so it was no surprise that she was excited. He didn't expect anything big to happen while they were out on patrol, more likely than not it would be a quiet night but there wasn't anything wrong with that. As such, he decided to travel light. Or well, as light as his equipment would allow. Most of his lethal gear was stored safely back in his roof at the dorms, the only one he kept on him was his knife, his magnum, it's ammunition and a few proper magazines for the Beretta that he carried with him. The two of them left the UA campus during the night and walked down the side of the streets into the city, searching around. There weren't any signs of crime to be seen for quite some time.
"Creati."
"Yes sir?" She quickly responded, attentively.
"What do you think of my methods?" He folded his arms, as he waited for his answer. He knew that she was smart, and that she often picked up and surmised things that many others did not. And because of how blunt she was quite often known to be, it made her the perfect student to ask.
"Well, your methods are rather brutal. Though, not in a bad way. I can tell that you're preparing us for the worst situations with how you're training us, even if-" He raised his hand.
"I didn't mean as a teacher, I meant as a Hero. I know already that my teaching methods are rather overboard because I went through them myself. I wanted to know what people think about me as a Hero, because being one is one thing, hearing the news talk about you is another but hearing from someone who's actually being protected by them is an entirely different necessity."
"I'm not sure if there's much of a difference. Again, your methods are rather brutal. From what I can tell you're both being feared among normal people, some Heroes and Villains alike."
"Figures," he stood back up straight, "I try to be fair with the people I encounter, I think I may just have a different sense of justice compared to the people of this era." He scanned around again, before moving forward.
"But it's not really a bad thing, I know that there have been a lot of criminals that have surrendered just because they knew that you were the one responding."
"Some, not all. I'm sure you know that even when All Might was around there were still VIllains around, ones willing to fight him. I don't think that's going to change even with me. And more likely than not, it's going to put a target on my back."
"Why do you say that?"
"It's hard to have a completely awesome figure, and I mean that in the sense of someone to be in awe of. There are always those who will not be afraid of you no matter what."
"I suppose you're right… But then, it would be completely impossible for anything to be what you suggest."
"For us maybe, not for him." He directed his head towards the sky, the gesture seemed to get past her but he didn't bother to explain it.
He stopped again as his helmet's comms picked up a police frequency, a robbery at a convenience store. It was just a few blocks away, jogging distance. "Alright, looks like we have a job to do. Follow me." He sprinted forward and led the way, though made sure that he didn't completely outpace and leave the student with him in his dust. After a short five minute run they came to the scene of the robbery, three police cruisers had already surrounded the small store.
"Thank goodness, Heroes are here," one of the officers said, "They have three hostages inside, the rest of the people who were in the store managed to get out before they could start tying them up."
"How many VIllains are in there?"
"Two, but we think there may be three. We aren't exactly sure because they managed to cut the camera feeds inside of the store." Hmph, smarter than the average thug. Aurdel stepped forward, adjusting his speakers.
"Villains, listen up. This is the Hero Spartan, we know that you have hostages in there. If you release them now, then surrender, you have the possibility of your charges being reduced. However if any harm comes to the hostages then I cannot guarantee any of your safety." Aurdel saw the two Villains inside the store bickering, then looking out. From what he could see none of the hostages were being kept in the front, most likely they were stuck in the back. He turned his head towards Creati, adjusting his speakers back down to a whisper for a mere moment. "Go around the back and try to find the hostages. And if you can, get them out. I'm going to keep talking out here." She nodded, then walked off. "You hear me?" He said, back to being loud.
"Yeah we can hear you!" One of the men said, "But how can we know that you're not lying to us? That you won't just gun us down once we have our guard down?!"
"The only thing that will make me injure you is if you try to kill me or any of those hostages. The moment you try any of that, you can kiss your safe way out goodbye." He saw the man turn back around, to speak with the other Villain.
He watched as Creati entered the store from the back and searched around, looking for the hostages. And as it turns out she managed to find the three of them and where they were tied up. "We'll come out first though, instead of the hostages!" The man said, turning back. "If you try anything on us our buddy in the back is going to waste them!" After that the two Villains left their weapons inside of the store, pushing out the door and walking with their hands up. Slowly the police officers walked over towards them as well, weapons drawn in case they tried anything funny. But the two VIllains were arrested without incident, taken into custody. The third however… Creati came out with the three hostages back to the police line where officers were ready to protect them.
"Where's your third friend?" Aurdel asked one of the Villains.
"I don't know, that chick must have must have knocked him out. He was supposed to be guarding the hostages."
"I didn't find anyone guarding the hostages," Yaoyorozu said, concerned. But they quickly got their true answer.
"Evacuate out of here!" Aurdel shouted, pushing the others behind him as the store split open and a man covered in scales emerged growing larger and larger. He fired the scales off of his body and into the surrounding area, piercing and embedding into the ground. He raced towards him as the man took a few steps forward, crushing a car that had been parked nearby the small store beneath his feet. The Villain attempted to crush Aurdel, raising his leg and bringing it down. But he missed, shattering the road beneath him instead. Aurdel jumped up, grabbing onto his leg and beginning to scale upwards. The man rapidly shed his scales in an attempt to throw him off, though it would just leave him more vulnerable to attacks.
He wouldn't be the one to attack the Villain first though. "Luna Fall!" A woman came out of nowhere, dropping her heel onto the top of the Villain's heads. It was with enough force to nearly completely bring him down, allowing Aurdel to jump from the Villain's leg to his arm. From there he was able to deal several pressure point blows, punching through the hard scales that made up a shell of armor. The Villain tried to slap him off unsuccessfully, Aurdel jumped up to his neck. He wrapped his legs around and put him in a tight hold, squeezing to reduce the air flow. After enough time he completely choked out the Villain, sending him crashing onto the ground without further conflict. Immediately more police units arrived to confine the man. Well, their work here was done. Aurdel stepped off and back onto the ground.
"Alright Creati, the police can take it from here. We're-"
"Wait just a minute," the woman who had come out of nowhere to attack the villain said. He looked over. The woman didn't stand particularly tall, only at about five feet two inches. But what she did have was a muscular tan body that contrasted well with her white hair and bunny ears. "The name's Mirko, and I'm going to talk with you."
AN: I forgot to add this in before when I released this chapter last night, so I'm going to put it in now. In chapter 10 I brought up the idea that if All For One had the chance to take over Aurdel, then One For All would have the same chance to take over Midoriya if not greater. I then noticed the day after that the following day an article about that near exact same topic was published. /anime/news/my-hero-academia-could-ofa-users-possess-izuku-midoriya-theory/
Now I'm not accusing the author of stealing ideas from me, I don't want it to sound like that. It's just that my confirmation bias kicked in when I saw the possible connection and I couldn't get the thought out of my head. I just wanted to know if I'd had possibly influenced it somehow or if I'm just acting schizophrenic.
