First Comes Love
Ric honked the horn signaling that he was ready to take Damon to the airport. Damon still shaken by Stefan's revelation about Bonnie began to gather the things he needed with him in New York. I should have known, of course she knew who I was. Gotdamn bitches always wanting something out of me. He thought angrily to himself as he shoved his coat on.
Stefan stared at Damon mystified by his sudden angry behavior. "Damon what's going on?" Stefan asked worriedly. Whenever Damon was unhappy, he made sure to rain his crap all over everyone's parade. With his meeting coming up Stefan knew if Damon didn't control himself, he could blow it.
But Stefan didn't have to worry about him, because he knew how to compartmentalize especially when it came to business. I'll deal with Bonnie when I get back. He thought to himself. "Don't worry so much baby bro you'll get wrinkles." Damon smiled tightly. He slapped his brother playfully on his cheek before heading out the door.
Despite Damon telling him not to worry, Stefan couldn't help it. He felt a chill go down his spine. He didn't know why but the sense of dread that he suddenly felt, Stefan felt that he was somehow to blame...

Driving her father's Jeep to the airport Bonnie jammed to the Weekend's Blinding Lights feeling relaxed. Not only because of what happened between her, and Damon but the fact that Alejandro was finally getting his operation. Bonnie made the decision to let him, and his mother stay with her at her house. The house she currently lived in had belonged to her grandmother, and she inherited it when she had died. She didn't want Rosita, and Alejandro to have the added stress of not being somewhere where they felt uncomfortable. It was only fitting that she welcomed them into her home, since they did the same for her.
The best part about it too, was she didn't have to worry about cleaning it, and making it ready for company since Caroline had paid someone weekly to clean it for her while she was away. She also had it decorated for the upcoming holiday a pleasant surprise that Bonnie had discovered when she went home to shower and change early this morning.
Pulling into the arrival terminal she checked her phone to see if Rosita's flight was on time, which it was. Bonnie also decided to see if Damon had called or texted her to let her know that he got to New York safely but there was nothing in her inbox yet.
Shrugging to herself, she was about to put her phone away when The Avenger's themed ringtone went off on her phone.
"Good morning you." Bonnie greeted Caroline warmly.
"Morning BB." She responded in kind. "Just wanted to remind you that you have dinner with me, and Elena later."
"How can I forget?" Bonnie retorted getting out the car. Caroline sent her about a million reminders on her phone. Bonnie wouldn't be surprised if she had taken out a sky writer just to blast it all over Mystic Falls.
"Yes, well with my wedding coming up we can't slack off. We have menus to plan, flower arrangements to go over, etc." Caroline said not at all embarrassed by her anal-retentive ways. "Plus, I have a huge favor to ask you. And a surprise."
"What kind of surprise?" Bonnie asked warily. Sometimes Caroline's idea of a surprise was a bit extreme.
"Don't worry about. I guarantee you'll love it." She assured her. "Just make sure you meet us at Carmine's for dinner.
"Alright, alright I'll be there." Bonnie reassured her getting her sign along with balloons out of the back seat. "Love you cuckoo."
"Love you too." Caroline said before hanging up her line.

"So, have you been practicing your English? Bonnie asked once they were all seated safely in the Jeep.
"Every day, Miss Bonnie." Alejandro said enthusiastically looking out her window in amazement. "Soon I'll be most better in English. I also help mama in studying." He said proudly in English.
"You are getting better." Bonnie smiling encouragingly. She glanced over at Rosita who looked tired and relived at the same time.
"How are you doing?" Bonnie asked her as they turned off the highway ramp.
"I am thankful that this is finally happening but scared about the surgery. I keep thinking bad thoughts." She admitted clutching her rosary.
"Alejandro is strong, and so are you. The doctor's performing the operation are the best in the world, and they've done this procedure many times. "So, no more bad thoughts." Bonnie told her. Rosita reached across her seat to squeeze her hand.

The first stop they made was to Bonnie's house where it seems that Caroline left a few gifts in the form of winter clothes for both Rosita, and Alejandro. The new PlayStation 5 along with some games was waiting for Alejandro in his new room which was decorated for an eight-year-old boy.
"This is too much." She protested tearfully at seeing all the gifts.
"Nonsense you are family now, and we always look out for one another." Bonnie said waving her off. They both watched as Alejandro begin playing with his new toy oblivious to his mother's tears.
Not knowing how to respond she hugged Bonnie around her waist. Clearly overwhelmed by the generosity of Bonnie, and her friends.
Taking Rosita by the hand she showed where she was going to be staying, and where the bathroom was.
"Once I know Alejandro's schedule, I would like to make dinner for my new family." Rosita announced after the little tour.
"I told you don't worry about anything." Bonnie scolded her gently.
This time Bonnie was the one getting waved off. "It is as you say. Family." The diminutive woman replied in stilted English.

Bonnie acted as translator for Rosita while Alejandro was getting checked out by the doctors. The doctor who was performing the operation was a Dr. Lee. She was very brisk, but patient, and professional, but not to the point of seeming cold.
She explained what she was going to do to repair Alejandro's valve, and how long it will take. The procedure was scheduled for the afternoon after Christmas. There will be no eating up to eight hours, and no fluids up to three hours before the surgery. Dr. Lee than took asked about Alejandro's health, and if he had any allergies. Once Rosita answered her question's, she than asked the Dr her questions.
Bonnie helped her go over the consent form before she signed them. After the consultation, and tests were done Bonnie offered to take them to lunch. Shaking hands with Dr. Lee they shook hands and left the hospital.
"What would you like to eat?" Bonnie asked the pair of them as they got into the Jeep.
Alejandro wanted an American cheeseburger, which his mother promptly overruled, and told him he can have fish. While Rosita told Bonnie whatever she chooses for her would be good.
After they had lunch Bonnie drove them back to the house, where she took a shower, while Rosita took a nap. Alejandro was settled in his room where Bonnie had a movie on for him. "Tell your mother that I'll be back later." She informed him as he watched the latest Star Wars movie.
He just gave her a thumbs up as an acknowledgement engrossed in the movie. Smiling Bonnie gave him a kiss on his forehead before heading out again.

"Oh, my goodness Elena you're practically glowing!" Bonnie exclaimed as she hugged her best friend. Bonnie stepped back so she could study her pregnant friend who was wearing multi-striped knee length dress, nude pantyhose, and black knee-high boots. She had cut her hair into an angled bob. "Do you know what you're having?"
"Matt tells me all the time." She said returning her hug. "And we want to be surprised. The only one who know are Vikki, and Caroline their co-hosting the gender reveal." Vikki Donovan is Matt's sister, and she's dating Jeremy Elena's younger brother.
"How's that going?" Bonnie asked knowingly. Vikki, and Caroline were rivals in high school always trying to one up each other.
"We just went from yellow to orange." She informed her as Bonnie hugged Caroline.
"Hey, I'm standing right here!" Caroline huffed while she returned Bonnie's hug.
Both Elena, and Bonnie laughed as they sat down.

"So, what's the favor you needed from me? Bonnie asked as she dug into her tiramisu.
"How do you feel about playing babysitter?" Caroline asked as she sipped on her wine.
"Caroline..." Elena warned her cannoli in front of her.
"What do you mean babysitter?" Bonnie wanted to know before she agreed to anything.
"Okay, so Stefan's older brother is a complete dog. He brought his date to Thanksgiving and was practically having sex with her in front of everyone." She ranted.
"Okay." Bonnie said slowly. "That makes him horny but I'm not seeing the dog." Bonnie never tried to judge someone without knowing all the facts.
Caroline sighed. "He humps everything in a skirt. I just don't want him going after anyone in the wedding party. People will get all in their feelings, and before you know it no one is talking to anyone or things won't get done."
Bonnie could empathize she wouldn't want anyone to ruin what was supposed to be her happy day either if it could be helped. "Okay I'll run interference, but people are going to be people. If two horny people want to bump uglies then nothing will stop them. Besides its tradition."
"Oh my god, you sound just like Damon!" Caroline exclaimed.
Bonnie was just about to bring her fork to her mouth when she heard Damon's name. "Wait did you just say Damon?"...
