Chapter Eleven – Best Seat in the House

New Year's Day, Clearwater Baptist Church, Clearwater, FL

Bianca Belair stood at the altar of Clearwater Baptist church in a moment of solitude, thinking about all that had happened over the last 24 hours. Seth was in the Pastor's office with the MacKenzie's and Hayworth Helmsley doing what he did best: making people feel better about themselves. Hayworth wasn't a practicing Christian but Bianca was sure that by the time Seth had finished ministering to him, he would be. Seth was devoted to anyone God put in his care and now that included MacKenzie's fiancé who just so happened to be Triple H's only son. Hayworth was a bright and intelligent kid who had very little experience in the love department. Seth had a lot of advice for the young Helmsley and if there was anyone the Harvard graduate could talk to about his marriage plans, it was Seth Rollins.

Bianca was no stranger to love herself, she only wished she was doing better at it right now. She was thinking about that quietly in the church sanctuary when the most unwelcome of guests showed up surprising her tremendously.

"Hey Bianca,"

Bianca turned to see Charlotte Flair looking back at her, "Alexa said that you were here, can we talk?"

Bianca saw Alexa sitting in the pews with a bashful look on her face.

"Sorry Bianca, I just think that you two have a lot to talk about and what better place to talk your problems then in God's house?" Alexa Bliss said and Bianca gave Charlotte a suspicious look.

"Where's Montez?" Bianca asked Charlotte.

"He's with Seth, they're making amends too," Alexa said. "I'm gonna stay right here and keep an eye on you two,"

"Well this is God's house so I'll be on my best behaviour," Bianca Belair said turning her eyes back to the altar. "What do you have to say for yourself Charlotte Flair?"

Charlotte took a deep breath and reached out and took Bianca's hand. Bianca flinched taking her hand away and Charlotte realised she had over-reached.

"No, that's okay. I want to reconcile this whole situation, I wanted to take your hand so we could pray about all of this. I thought we could ask the Lord to come into this situation and make it right," Charlotte Flair said.

"Charlotte, the only thing you have to do to make this right is to stop going after my husband," Bianca Belair said.

"Bianca, I'm a very selfish person. I've never seen anything that I didn't get seconds later, whether I had to work for it or ask for it, I always get what I want but what I don't want is to hurt you anymore," Charlotte Flair said crying and Bianca saw the tears rolling down her face. "If you saw the tweets I've gotten since New Year's, the abuse, the threats. My Dad had to hire security because angry women were showing up at our house threatening to burn it down. Everyone thinks I'm a home-wrecker, nobody wants to hear my side,"

"That's because wives have privileges. People are taking my side because I'm the one whose marriage is being threatened. You can walk away anytime you want but I can't. I have to watch the man I married make a play for you and pretend that I'm okay with it. Charlotte working with you has been an experience but after this storyline is over, I never wanna speak to you again," Bianca Belair said.

"Bianca, listen to me good. This feud is going to do more for your career than Rhea Ripley or Shayna Baszler ever could. You're on a whole other level sweetheart and you have only one person to thank for that and that's me, the Queen, Charlotte Flair! Whoooo!" Charlotte bragged proudly and Bianca looked away shaking her head in disgust. Then Charlotte changed her tone, "Look at me Bianca," she said softly. "That's the woman I play on TV every week, the real me is dying on the inside,"

"The real you? I don't even know who you are anymore Charlotte! I thought you were a good person but you suck!" Bianca Belair said and Alexa Bliss shushed the two women abruptly.

"No shouting in the Lord's house," she admonished them both.

"Sorry," Bianca Belair said. "The person I thought you were would never do something like this. You say you're dying on the inside, if it wasn't for Seth, I'd be at home, under the covers, balling my eyes out every single day because of you. I was so excited to be working with you, my first major feud on RAW was with the best in the business. Boy was I wrong. I was so hesitant to make friends on the main roster but Seth Rollins showed me that you can be a good person and still kill it every night in the ring. You can't be like Seth but maybe you should try. Even if you do find yourself attracted to Montez, you can ask God to help you manage your emotions so you don't end up in the situation you're in now. Surely you don't believe for one second that my husband loves you back?!"

Charlotte gave Bianca a charming smile, "Everyone loves Charlotte Flair, even you Mrs Ford. I want you to take my hand and I want us to pray, because you're crazy if you think your husband isn't going to fall in love with me sooner than later. I see it in his eyes, he adores me. I'm just really sorry it has to be at your expense. You've got a big heart and you're an incredibly talented person and I want the Lord to spare you from what I'm about to put you through very, very soon. I never wanted to hurt you Bianca but this is the situation and heartache is evitable. I just hope you can forgive me when this is all over," Charlotte said and she reached for Bianca's hand again and Bianca knocked it away furiously.

"Read your Bible Charlotte; adultery is a sin. If this was Moses' time, I'd be throwing rocks at you right now. Hell if we were in Saudi Arabia, I'd be throwing rocks at you! I'm not the one who has to forgive you, the man who runs this church, Jesus Christ, is the one you're going to have to ask for forgiveness. What you're doing is wrong Charlotte so please stop. This is bigger than me and my feelings, this is about the sanctity of marriage. The Bible says that when God brings two people together, let no man put asunder. That means you better back off before God punishes you for interfering in something that He created for me and Montez to enjoy. Charlotte, if you keep going down this road, something really, really bad is going to happen to you and that is not a threat, that is a promise," Bianca said and Charlotte's face hardened.

"I don't like being threatened Bianca and I certainly don't like being told what to do. Now are you going to pray with me or not?" Charlotte said tersely and Bianca shook her head that she wouldn't.

"I'm not going to let you use me and my Gift from God to manipulate your way into absolution. I know it's hard being single and you feel like you'll never find the right man but this is not the solution. This is the path to destruction and I will not hold your hand and pray with you while you remain so hard-headed and you intend to keep going after Montez," Bianca said.

Charlotte nodded unhappily, "Well, I guess we'll just have to remain enemies," she said regretfully.

"I guess we will Charlotte, know that you can change that if you do the right thing and ask God for the man you want," Bianca said.

"I already did and that's when I found your husband!" Charlotte shouted. "God gave me exactly what I wanted, you're the only person losing in this situation Bianca, not me because I'm getting the answer to my prayer at your expense!"

"Okay that's enough," Alexa said coming in-between Bianca and Charlotte, "God's house is not the place to cut a promo. Charlotte, I think you better leave before Bianca drops you right here in the sanctuary,"

Charlotte looked at Bianca sadly, "I really never wanted this to happen but I will not let you get in the way of me getting what I want," she said and she left the church leaving Bianca and Alexa very concerned.

"Gees are you okay?" Alexa asked Bianca.

"You know what I am, I'm fine. I have this peace on the inside because I know my husband loves me. I don't think Charlotte realizes just how far she's gone and that scares me Bliss, that really scares me. Something bad is going to happen to her but it won't be because of me," Bianca Belair said and Bliss nodded.

"I know it'll be because of the Man Upstairs," Bliss said and she hugged Bianca to comfort her.

"Speaking of the Man, is Becky still is Georgia with the Bullitt Club?" Bianca asked Bliss changing the subject. "If there's one person that can get through to Charlotte, Becky might be the only person left,"

Alexa shook her head cynically, "What's Becky gonna do, get a global restraining order put against Charlotte? Let's pray and ask God to cover you, Montez and have mercy on Charlotte Flair," Alexa said and the two Champions prayed at the altar for another way out for Charlotte Flair before it was too late.

Within seconds, God answered their prayer.

When God responded Bliss and Belair ran to the Pastor's office to find Seth and tell him what God said.

"I can't believe it, it was right in front of our eyes the whole time!" Bliss said running to the Pastor's office.

"This is perfect, I just hope Seth can help us make it happen!" Bianca Belair said as they headed towards Seth to tell him God's instruction that Charlotte Flair be setup on a date with AJ Styles.
