Author's Note: Sorry about the wait. During Christmas time, my family went through some electrical problems and it only recently got fixed. Been doing what work I could on the story while I was at work, but couldn't do much. We should have smooth sailing now till the end of the story. Hope you all enjoy! Now onto the story!

Chapter 12:Try Again
Dani shook her head. "No... no you are not... I'm just surprised to see you is all." She said looking away with a light blush.
Kitty smiled softly seeing the halfa's blush. She stepped around the bed and sat on the side of it near Dani. "I was worried I wouldn't be allowed to see you." She said softly.
"Jazz has been taking my recovery pretty seriously. Skulker tried to visit me yesterday and she wouldn't let him anywhere near me. I'm honestly surprised how close me and Skulker really are." Dani says with a giggle. "Normally after our fights we just sit and chat for a few minutes."
Kitty giggled at the idea of the halfa and hunter just chatting.
"Hell..." Dani said softly looking down at her bed. "When Fright Knight attacked me, he tried to warn me and even teamed up with my dad to kick his ass after words."
"I'm really happy you've made so many friends in the ghost zone Dani. I hear so much about you now in the ghost zone. I actually heard that there is some Dani Phantom fan club in Walkers Prison."
Dani looked over at Kitty wide eyed. "Seriously?" Seeing Kitty nod her head Dani busted out laughing. "Oh god... Walker must hate me for that..." She cried out continuing to laugh before grimacing in pain. "Ow ow ow..." She said leaning forward and pressing a hand to her back.
"Dani!" Kitty cried seeing the girl in pain. "What happened?"
"I'm okay Kitty. You don't have to worry... Just too much for my back." She said rubbing her hand against the back of her shirt to put pressure on her back.
"How bad is your injury?" Kitty asked softly.
"Pretty bad... I'm not allowed to use any of my powers for the foreseeable future." Dani says softly, pulling her hand away from her back and laying back in her bed. "By the way... Thanks for that. That was one hell of a pick me up, even if it did cause me a little pain." Dani said with a giggle. "The idea of Walker having to deal with a fan club to me is just really funny, seeing how he still wants to put me in prison, but can't."
Kitty raised her eye at Dani. "What do you mean he can't?"
"He tried once. I found out then that humans are the ghosts in the ghost zone. In my human form I can just walk through walls all I want and anyone that I don't want touching me won't be able to. He threw me in jail once and when I learned that I quite literally just walked out the front gate. Walker was not happy."
The green haired ghost just stifled a laugh at the idea of Dani just walking away from Walker's Prison.
"Wow... besides Wulf you have to be one of the only ones that have escaped from Walker's Prison." Kitty said with a smile.
"Well... Not really... That same day I started a riot to try and get out, they all got out while I went after Walker because he had my parents anniversary gift." Dani said with a smile. "Though I did hear that he went out and recaptured everyone that I let go that day."
The red eyed ghost girl smiled warmly. "Hey Dani?" Kitty called out softly looking at the Halfa.
"Yeah Kitty?"
"Do... Do you ever think about what we had? Back when I possessed Star?" Kitty asked softly.
Dani looked down at the bed for a moment before nodding her head. "I do, but I try not to, to be honest."
"You know Dani... If you didn't want me to be with you anymore, all you had to do was say something, you didn't have to trick me like you did with Johnny." Kitty said with a huff.
Dani looked away from the ghost. "You wanted to make Johnny jealous and it worked. I just kinda... helped it along. Who knows how long it would have taken Johnny to see how you felt about him."
Kitty blinked as she looked at Dani before letting out a sigh. "I didn't care about Johnny anymore, at least until you almost killed him." She said softly wrapping herself in her arms. "All I could truly think about during that time was you. I had honestly even adapted to Star's life some. I would go to school as her, meet up with you. Meet up with you after school and hang out, then I would even go home to Star's and do her homework." She explained.
Dani's head shot up as she stared at the ghost in surprise. "You were doing Star's homework?"
Kitty nodded her head. "Yeah, it was pretty easy to be honest. I still remember all this stuff they were teaching us during that time."
"Kitty how invested into... us... were you?" Dani asked shyly.
"Enough to try again." Kitty said looking up at Dani with a smile.
"H... How do I kn... know that this isn't about Johnny again?" Dani stuttered out half in shock and half from not wanting to be hurt again.
"Well... For one Johnny doesn't even exist anymore." Kitty said with a snort. "Broke up with him three days after yours and his fight after he went skirt chasing again. We tried one more time but I found him... In my realm... with another girl in his arms in MY bed." She said with a sneer. "I used my banishing kiss on him and never brought him back. After twenty-four hours if I don't bring them back they just cease to exist." She explained seeing Dani's shocked look. "If that doesn't prove it has nothing to do with Johnny, you tell me anything you want that will prove it and I'll do it."
Dani blushed brightly before looking down at her bed and mumbled something that Kitty couldn't hear.
"I can't hear you Dani... please... Tell me what you want... I miss being with you." Kitty said softly, reaching out for the blue eyed girl's hand.
Dani didn't pull her hand away as she felt Kitty grasp it. "I... want a kiss..." She said softly.
Kitty giggled and smiled. "Dani, I gave you..."
"A real kiss." The young girl clarified. "One between two girlfriends, not some peck on the cheek you always gave me." She said with a bright blush.
Kitty's eyes widened hearing Dani's words before blushing herself in embarrassment. "I... Never gave you a real kiss huh..."
Dani shook her head and looked back to her bed, her blush still coating her face.
Kitty slowly moved closer to Dani's side, a smile on her face. "Maybe I can make up for that and prove that I want you instead of Johnny." She said softly, reaching out to cup Dani's cheek.
Kitty lifted Dani's head so they were looking into each other's eyes. The ghost smiled warmly before leaning forward and capturing the teen's lips in a soft kiss.
Dani leans into the ghost feeling their lips press together and wrapped her arms around Kitty's back trying to deepen the kiss.
As the two girls pulled away from each other they both smiled warmly at each other.
"Can we give us another try Dani? I've missed you. You were the best thing that had ever happened to me. Instead of making me feel like a bad girl like Johnny always did, you made me feel like a princess. I know that sounds cheesy but it's true."
Dani smiled warmly at the green haired ghost. "We can... so long as you promise me... I'm the only one."
"I promise Dani. You are the only one." Kitty said softly leaning forward to kiss Dani softly on the lips again. "I only have one question." Seeing Dani look confused at her she giggled. "Do you wanna keep this hidden like before?"
"Would you mind if we did? At least for now? I'm not sure how my parents will react." Dani asked softly.
"I don't mind Dani. So long as me and you can go out on dates."
Jazz giggled softly outside of Dani's door smiling brightly to herself. 'Maybe with someone to focus on your nightmares will stop lil sis.' She thought to herself as she turned and headed for her room.
It took another week before Dani's injury was healed enough for her to get out of the house for a while, so long as she only used her powers in an emergency. Jazz had convinced the halfa into letting their father continue her patrols around the city.
Dani smiled happily as she and Kitty walked around down town side by side. The sight of ghosts in Amity Park being normal now. So much so that the city had made a lot of money due to tourism just to meet the ghosts that now lived in the city like normal people.
"Hi Dani!" A young voice called out rushing up to the halfa and wrapping her arms around Dani's leg.
"Hey Sarah." Dani said looking down at the five year old girl. "How are you?" She asked, reaching down to ruffle the girls hair.
"Great!" She said happily letting go of Dani's leg. She blinked as she noticed Kitty next to Dani. "Who's that?"
"This is Kitty. She's one of the ghosts I use to fight, though..." Dani began saying before Kitty started speaking.
"Actually me and you have never fought." Kitty stated, with a smirk.
Dani blinked before scratching the top of her head in though. "She's right... We never actually did fight."
The little girl giggled as she looked up at the two.
"Sarah, come inside." An older voice called out.
"Coming momma!" Sarah called out before waving to Dani and Kitty and heading into the building.
Kitty giggled watching the child run back inside. "I see someone has a fan."
Dani rolled her eyes. "Not A fan. The entire city is my fan now or didn't you notice the cameras behind us?"
Kitty raised an eyebrow and looked behind them not noticing anything. "What are you talking about?"
"Look closely at the alleyway we passed." Dani said with a smirk.
The ghost looked closer and gasped seeing several camera len's pointed at her and Dani.
"Told you." Dani said as she started walking down the sidewalk again.
Kitty shook her head and hurried to catch up with the halfa. "How can you take it?"
Dani shrugs. "Honestly, I just ignore them, and any more they just leave me to my own thing and stay at a distance."
"That simple?" Kitty asked softly only for Dani to nod. "Any places they won't follow you except the bathroom?"
"Well... I normally don't see them if I go to a movie with Paulina and Dash." Dani said, thinking.
Kitty grins and leans over to Dani's ear to whisper to her. "Why don't we go see a movie? It would give us a chance to be alone and be a good first date." She said softly causing Dani to stiffen.
"Sure Kitty. We can do that. I'm sure Jazz will be 'happy' I went to a movie and relaxed." Dani said with a giggle, turning down a road she knew held a good size theater that normally did not have a lot of people go there. "We will have to get our own snacks and such, the best theater, in my opinion is the one down here and it doesn't have snacks or drinks, but allows you to bring in your own." She said with a smile.
"Sounds like a plan." Kitty said happily. "What kind of movies are out?"
"This theater is weird and doesn't always post the same movies as normal theaters, but sometimes you get lucky and find a movie that they get early." Dani says with a smirk. "I go there so much they always tell me if they have any, it's kinda a VIP thing for those who come a lot."
A half an hour later Kitty and Dani were walking up to the theater with Dani holding a bag in one of her hands.
"See any movie in the signs you wanna see?" Dani asked looking over at Kitty.
Kitty smirks and points to a Deadpool poster. "That."
Dani blinks seeing the poster. "Deadpool? Really?"
"Why not? It's a superhero movie, which I know you enjoy. It's a love story, which I like. And it's a comedy which we both like." Kitty says with a grin.
