Chapter 26 Izzy gets a feeding tube through her nose

Jake's POV

While Cubby and I were still in the hospital with Izzy, she was still laying down on her hospital bed with a feeding tube through her nose. And a heat monitor.

"Cubby, I still feel like I'm the worst boyfriend ever." I said to him

"Jake, would you stop with that? Your not the worst boyfriend ever." Cubby asked to me.

"But I am the worst." I said to him.

"Oh my gosh, Jake stop saying that, it's giving me a headache." Cubby said said to me.

"Okay, I'll stop." I said to him.

"Thanks you!" Cubby said to me.

As Izzy woke up, she was confused, she was looking at her nose.

"Jake, what is going on?" Izzy asked me.

"Well, you fainted cuz you didn't eat or drink anything. That's why you have a feeling tube through your nose." I said to her.

"WHAT? That's why I sound funny." Izzy said r me.

" Calm down Iz, it's only temporary till you are ready to feed yourself again." I said to her.

" Well, I guess I can deal with it. Besides, I did to myself." Izzy said to us.

"Wow." I said to her.

"So what can we do now Jake?" Cubby asked me.

"Who about we watch TV." I said to them.

" Sure. Can we watch Disney Channel?" Izzy asked me.

"Yes, Izzy!" I said to her as I turned on the TV as Raven's Home was on.

"Levi is so cute and adorable." Izzy said to us.

"Yeah, but he can't beat me." Cubby said to her.

"Ooh I think someone's jealous." I said to him.

"I am not jealous." Cubby said to me.

"Oh come on who would win in a cute competition you or Levi?" I asked him.

"Well, you obviously me." Cubby said to us.

As Dr. Lynch came inside Izzy's hospital room, as he got Izzy's chart.

"Okay Ms. Green, you have a feeding tube through your nose, because you didn't eat or drink anything." The doctor said to her.

"May I please see her food chart, Mr. Hutchinson?" Dr. Lynch asked me as I handed him the chart.

"Huh. Well, Ms. Green from what I am reading from your chart is that you haven't ate anything. You've been throwing your food in the trash, you've been refusing to eat what Jake or Cubby gives you, I mean, what is up with that?" Dr. Lynch asked her as she stayed silent.

"Well, as your doctor I am very disappointed in you." Dr. Lynch said to her.

"I'm sorry, Dr. Lynch." Izzy aid to him.

" So Dr. Lynch, what should we do?" I asked him.

"Well, for now, she is getting fed by a feeding tube." Dr. Lynch said to us.

" Oh, so we can't do anything for Izzy at the moment?" Cubby asked him.

"That's correct." Dr. Lynch said to him while ruffling his hair.

"Oh, okay." Cubby said to him.

As Cubby and I couldn't think of anything else to do for Izzy, Dr Lynch came back with a new foods chart.

"Oh great, this is going to be stricter than the last one, Jake." Cubby said to me while complaining.

" Calm down Cubby, we'll make sure Izzy eats again." I sad to him.

" But, Izzy's going to give us a hard time again." Cubby said to me.

"Cubby, you know I can hear you right?" Izzy said him.

"Oh yeah, sorry." Cubby said to her.

"So, you will need to film in her new food chart, and how her feeding tube is done. And we'll keep putting the feeling turned back through her nose until she actually starts eating on her own without nobody fussing her around." Dr. Lynch said to us as he left.

" Well this stinks, I want to go home." Izzy said to us while folding her arms.

" Remember what you said to us Izzy, you did this on yourself." I said to her.

"I know, Jake stop reminding me." Izzy said to me.

"Geez calm down, Izzy. Cubby said to her.

"I don't want to calm down, I want to go home." Izzy said to us.

"Well you can't go home Izzy, because you fainted at the dance studio, and you didn't even eat or drink anything today. That's why they placed a feeding tube through your nose, to because you didn't listen to me or Cubby." I said to her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout." I said to her.

"No Jake, I deserved it. if I did eat something and drink something today, this would have never happened. I'm the worst girlfriend ever." Izzy said to me.

"Here we go again." Cubby said to himself as I glared at him.

"Izzy you're not the worst girlfriend ever. Okay you made a mistake, but you will fix it. You know why question mark because you're the cutest adorable girl I ever met. And I know you can eat again I have faith in you Izzy." I said to her.

"What am I chopped liver?" Cubby asked me.

"Yes, yes you are." I said to him as Izzy and I started to laugh.

Once Dr. Lynch came came with papers, I was confused onto why as he handed them to me.

"Are these her discharge papers?" I asked him as he nodded.

"Well, Izzy I guess your going home after all." I said to her as she smiled.

"Wait before she goes home, let me explain how the feeding tube works. So, it will be attached to her and she will need to come back so I can replace it with a new one." Dr. Lynch said to us as I handed him the signed papers.

"Okay, she came now go home, uh her clothes are in the closet in a bag." Dr. Lynch said to me as I took out the bag that has her clothes inside it.

Once izzy got dressed, we went home.

Izzy's POVAfter we arrived home, I went to go lay down on my bed. As I was laying down, I looked at myself with the feeding tube attached to my nose as I started to cry.

"I look awful." I said to myself while crying as Cubby and Jake came in.

"Iz, what's wrong?" Jake asked me.

"I look awful with a feeding tube through my nose." I said to him.

"Izzy, you still look beautiful even with a feeding tube going up your nose." Jake said to me as I decided to take a nap.

Jake's POV

While Izzy was taking a nap, I stayed with her as I kept looking at her feeding tube attached to her nose while I wished I kept forcing her to eat.

"Jake for the last time, this isn't your fault. You did try warning her about landing back into the hospital." Cubby said to me.

"Yeah but the feeding tube is something I didn't want to happen to her Cubby." I said to him.

"I know Jake." Cubby said to me.
