Difference in Broad and crooked to Straight and Narrow
Welcome brothers and sisters to another Bible Teachings, here we are given wisdom and understanding in Christ about what the bible is saying and how God wants us to minister in his name, not to glorify ourselves and our strength but through Lord Jesus power and wisdom. This can be sometimes forgotten even for those who have preach his words. Many good Saints, Believers and Christian can fall for this special trap that our Adversary the Devil places if we allow certain thoughts and ideas determine our lifestyle and way of following Christ. Even through this ministry, the devil will place the idea and thought that we can interpret the words of wisdom in the Bible without God.
This creates false teachers, false preachers, and all sorts of falsehood that is extremely dangerous no matter the era, age or time in our lives. This is because when given the position of Shepard, which translate in our daily lives as teachers, ministers, and other positions in our church. We are given an higher calling in the Lord's name. To understand what this means we must look at Jesus and how after he went back to his Heavenly Father to prepare a place in Heaven. Jesus had taken in 12 Disciples, each are tasked and given instruction by Jesus and the Holy Spirit once past on to them after Christ Jesus left. They been place as higher calling by spreading the good news and to live, talk, walk and made example of the follower of Christ.
This then change our we live today as fellow Believers, Saints, and Christians alike know that Jesus came to our lives in human flesh, yet still is God the Son. Preach and demonstrate the way we ought to live, then died on the Cross that through him wash all our sins from past, present and future of all lives. We are to respond when we hear his name and good news spread throughout the world. Those who lend a ear can hear his good news for us all. Sadly that also has lead to some... complications.
One of them is despite many true saints, believers and Christian alike, falsehood as walk in our doorsteps and spread false teachings to those who haven't heard and those who do know God's word, yet found their false teaching pleasing not God, but themselves. Falsehood has been one of many dangers as compare to how God wants us to live. This can stem by many people who without the holy spirit giving wisdom, tries to force their own understanding and interpret them without God's authority and presence. This has lead to many religions and beliefs that only fits our own human flesh and desires that God doesn't approve. Before committing to Jesus, I believe that Religion was the same as living like Christians. Yet when God work in my life, I am taught how Religion is more so about human belief and how they are to only benefit ourselves.
See one of great lies in our life is being told we can do anything we want and we'll still get to heaven. Basically it means that we can have more then one way of reaching Heaven and being good people is not necessary to reach that place. THAT is the biggest lie we take to heart and not question. Because before living as Saints, believer and Christian, we used to believe we can be whatever we chose and it didn't matter what we done or how little it means. But in our Lord Jesus, he declares that only through him as the only Truth and Light of our world can we be with our Heavenly father. He even states this in the Bible and many have ignored or pretend that there is more then one way.
Never as believer should we accept this claim, as only Christ can we reach heaven and follow like how our Lord Jesus did in his days. We should also understand that one day when we are judge, Jesus mentions how there will be others who say Lord Lord, and try to justify their actions and how they did this in his name. Yet he will say to Depart from me, I never knew you, men who practice lawlessness. This here states how there is falsehood always trying to corrupt and destroy the Truth of God's word. Which is why we must always daily pray to our Lord, read the Bible in willingness to learn God's word of wisdom, and encourage each other in fellowship.
Folks I say this for not only your sake, but that you don't forget who we are to serve and who the Lord of our life is no matter what. If you say to yourself that you go to church every Sunday singings some verses, doing good deeds on daily bases and think you are a good person. Boys and Girls we extremely need to be re-examine ourselves, by both God and our fellow servants in Christ. Cause many times when we think that we're alright, it's when we start to think highly of ourselves. Grant this is a human feeling and that can't be change so long as we live in this world. But the act of being prideful is living the same as Satan did before his fall. God will only respond to the humble, and if we're not humble he will not listen and resist the proud.
Now your wondering what's the point of all this? Simply put that when we go everything outside of God, we are taking what is considered the Broad and Crooked path. Meaning when we take the route where everyone says it's okay, its' a broad path. This also means when we listen and accept their truth, this truth can lead us to doing wicked actions in sin, and our path is Crooked. That's why Christ Jesus warns us about taking the Broad and Crooked path, only through him can we follow the Straight and Narrow path. What's even saddening is how Jesus says only few will ever find this, take a moment to think what Jesus means by "only few". That is implying how in our current and future society that there is still many who falsely claim as followers of Christ and those who take on Religion thinking it's okay. Folks we need to take this to heart and pray for his understand of this lesson and look into the Bible about why Jesus means these words. Cause for many of us, we could be doing exactly what the adversary own dirty work, spreading false lies and teachings. Be warned of this and make sure you are living how Lord Jesus wants us to live. While living in this world of sin we are still sinful creatures in our flesh, we are still to resist temptations and sins that seem pleasing but is abominations to God.
All of us have to get ourselves examine, and know that the Devil is doing everything he can with his fellow demons helping spread the sins and wickedness. But take note that sometimes the sins and actions in our lives is not always them, cause we still live in the world of our dying world, we ourselves fall to our own temptations and act upon them. Thus the terms repeated sin is true even to our day to day lives. If we are living in repeated sin, it means we need to re-examine ourselves and pray to understand why? Remember our lives are a spiritual battlefield, once you commit yourselves to our Lord Jesus, you will be attack even at your lowest and weakest points. Even now the adversary is like a roaring lion, searching and preying on people who he can strike. Remember that Jesus experience this in his life, how he fasten 40 days and near the end Satan came to try and tempt Jesus, but failed because of not god's power, but by knowing the word of scripture.
