'' Austin hold, still.''
'' No, get away.''
'' Austin please.''
Austin growled and let his wife unwrap his bandages.
'' Stop hovering, I'm fine.''
'' Really? Tell you what, if you can rotate your shoulder then I'll back off.
Austin struggled for a few seconds then gave his wife an icy glare.
'' That's what I thought'' Ally smirked.
The pair were at each other's throats. For the last three days Ally had been playing nurse with him…literally. She wouldn't let him out of her sight. He finally got her to reluctantly let him go to the bathroom alone. Ally's maternal instincts had kicked it. Austin's personal space was no longer a thing and Ally would make sure he knew it. Austin now knew what Ally meant a few months ago when they had that big fight. He knew how he made her feel because that's how she was making him feel.
Austin was begging Ally to relax. Not only because he felt like the concept of personal space didn't exist with her anymore but also because he was worried Ally would hurt herself or their kids. He was also worried that she would get sick as well, he was right. Recently Ally had come down with a really bad cold that she couldn't seem to shake. Steam, antibiotics, orange juice, water. None of it was working. Ally was beginning to think it was something a bit worse than a cold but she just dismissed it as hypochondria.
'' Achoo!'' Ally sneezed.
'' Bless you'' Austin giggled.
'' What's funny about me having a cold?''
'' Its just that you sound cute when you sneeze is all.''
'' Oh. Thanks'' Ally said plainly. '' Now hold still while I apply this anti-sceptic to your shoulder.''
'' Fine-Aaah!'' Austin screamed. The anti-sceptic stung like a thousand scorpions.
'' Your whining isn't helping. Just hold still and let me take care of it.''
'' I'm not whining, I'm pouting.''
'' You're whining. Now either you hold still, or I use the chloroform on you.''
'' You have chloroform?!''
'' Nope, but good to see your reactions are great.''
'' They're fine. Dr. Vanucci told me the ink hadn't poisoned my blood and that it was just the stab wounds I had to take care of.''
'' Yeah, he's great'' Ally sighed dreamily.
'' Do you like my doctor?''
'' Whaaat? Nooo'' Ally lied…terribly.
Ally sat down next to him on the couch as he watched The Neighborhood.
'' Ha ha, oh man I wish I had a neighbor like Calvin'' Austin said laughing.
'' Really? He's such a prick, why would you want someone like that living next to us.''
'' It's not literal Allz.''
Ally changed the subject. '' So how is the devil?''
'' The kid. We found out his name is Javier Ramirez, he's already got three DUIs, four accounts of armed robbery and assault. He's being charged as an adult and since it was caught on camera by another at-risk kid, we have proof of the assault. I might not even have to appear in court at all. Also call him Javier.''
'' I refuse to dignify that delinquent with a name. He has no right to be permitted to have a name.''
'' Ok psycho. He's awaiting a trial next week. I don't think I'll need to appear in court but if I do, I've got the physical evidence to send him to FDC for a long time.''
'' Good to hear- oh'' Ally winced.
'' Oh, oh what?''
'' Well, my water just broke.''
'' Oh, oh God. Ok, this is happening'' Austin dashed upstairs to their room and came back with Ally's overnight bag.
Aly was wincing as she propped herself up against a wall.
'' Baby just tell me what to do.''
'' Call-call an ambulance.''
'' Yes ma'am'' Austin saluted then grabbed his phone and called the number.
'' Yes, hi is this Sunshine hospital?'' Austin asked.
'' Yes sir how can we help you?''
'' My name is Austin Moon, my wife's water just broke, please send an ambulance as soon as you can.''
'' Yes sir Mr. Moon, we have you on our system, fortunately for you one of our newest reserve paramedics is on his way.''
'' Ok thank you.''
Austin hung up then told Ally to breathe.

About 15 minutes later, a paramedic burst through the door.
'' Hey Ally'' he said.
'' Jace? You're a paramedic?''
'' Sure am. Now Austin help, me get her on the stretcher'' Jace ordered.
Austin nodded and helped Ally onto the stretcher.
The trio got into the back of the ambulance and tore down the road.
Austin immediately phoned Jimmy.
'' Austin what's up?''
'' Ally's in labor, I'll be out for a few days, can you and Kira manage things?''
'' Sure. Congratulations by the way.''
'' Thanks Jimmy.''
Austin made a number of phone calls to people who he believed would be needed in this situation. He phoned his parents, Lester, Trish and Dez, Carrie, Tilly and Trent.
Austin couldn't believe it. He was going to be a dad!
