Hi, this is my first fanfiction I just wanted to try out something new, I worked hard on this and had a lot of fun, so please read and I hope so enjoy
Disclaimer I do not own The Vampire Diaries, The Originals or their characters, only the plot and characters I have created.
Olivia walked downstairs to get some dinner. She had no desire to talk with anyone. She was ready to rip the throat out of anyone that looked at her the wrong way.
She passed by Klaus, who was up instead of brooding in self moarning. But he still looked sad and didn't acknowledge Olivia when she walked past him. She rolled her eyes. She might be mad but she couldn't stand to see Klaus like that, so she gathered up her last nerves and followed him.
"Are you ready to talk?"
"You can't help me." Olivia was taken aback, it felt like Klaus had slapped her. She had always been there for him and now he didn't want her help. She was about to leave when Klaus stood up. "You can't help because it's about you."
"What, what did I do?" Olivia couldn't imagine what she had possibly done to betray his trust.
"You didn't do anything." He reached out to comfort her. This only made her confusion grow. How could he be mad at her for something she didn't do? And why was he trying to make her feel better? He hugged her. She was so confused she didn't know what to do.
She hugged him back but pulled away and looked at him in the eyes. "You know you can tell me anything."
"I don't know what to do. My family keeps betraying me and now I'm about to be a dad."
"Ok, well families aren't really my strong suit but you know no matter what your family does, I will stand with you. And as long as I'm here, I'll help you with the kid thing." She hugged him again.
They sat for a while before they headed to bed. "Good night." She smiled back at him. She got into some for comfortable clothes to sleep in and got under her sheets. In the morning she woke up early and decided to go for a walk around the house. The morning air was cool on her skin and she shivered as she wrapped her arms around herself.
"Good morning." A voice behind her called.
"What do you want, Marcel?"
"I want to apologize for yesterday. I knew Davina wouldn't believe me if I just told her how powerful you are but I should have told you first." She walked towards her and took her hands in his. "I know I have no right to ask for anything but I would really appreciate it if you would meet with her again. I think given some time, you two could become very good friends."
"You are right, you shouldn't ask for anything. However, I would like to meet her again. I will meet you outside the church around noon once I have gotten dressed." He lifted her hands to kiss them and then stepped away.
She waited just outside the church and saw people walk by. Over the crowd she could see Marcel approach her. "Are you ready?" She nodded and they stepped inside. They walked up the tall staircase and he knocked on the big wooden door. It swung open and she saw Davina standing in the middle of the room.
"Hi." Olivia waved at her. "I don't think we really got a chance to meet, my name is Olivia."
"I'm Davina." She smiled.
"I'll leave you two." Marcel walked out of the room and Olivia moved to sit on the bed.
"Is this your room?"
"Yeah."
"A dusty attic above an abandoned church. Homey." Davina laughed a little.
"Marcel told me about you. I know this might be a bit personal but I don't really see how the curse on you is much of a curse."She sighed before answering.
"Well, I am trapped in that prison world and very lonely for 5 years. Then when I get sent back here, 5 years is a convenient amount of time because everyone remembers you and what you look like but they moved on with their lives. So you can't say hi because you died, a horrible and painful death I might add, you just get to watch your friends and family live happy lives without you. That's why I make friends with vampires, but you know, things happen."
"I'm sorry."
"No really, I've come to terms with it." Davina walked over to sit next to her on the bed in the corner of the room.
"So, a blade through the heart?"
"Well it's less a blade then just getting my heart impaled. Bullets are kind of a grey area, I think it has something to do with if it stays in my heart instead of just going through. Don't get any ideas, I'm not that easy to kill."
"Ha, I believe you."
"I like you Davina."
"Really? I tried to kill you."
"Yes, but you are still willing to be my friend and apologize. That is honorable and respectable."
"Thank you." Olivia looked around the room. And noticed the painting in the corner.
"Are these yours?" Davina nodded. "They are beautiful." She walked over to admire them. "Do you know Klaus?"
"No, but I know of him. He is evil."
"Oh he's not that bad." Davina looked at her doubting. "Yeah, you're right, he is that bad. But he is also good and thoughtful." She paused at a painting of a flower. "He paints too, beautiful paintings."
"Really?"
"Oh yeah. I'd invite you to meet him but I figured you would not like to join me." She shook her head. "I don't blame you, he's a bit unpredictable." She turned back to Davina. "I'd like to stay but I need to leave. I'd like to come back though."
"Me too." Davina waved goodbye as Olivia left.
