Amity couldn't focus on anything other than what she saw at the Castle. The Emperor's Castle. Luz's Castle. Luz was the Princess. Her girlfriend was the Princess. Oh, Titan! She was dating the Princess! She already knew about the assassins, but... is that why she kept this a secret? The more she thought about it, the less it made sense, yet at the same time, the more sense it made. Does that make sense? Does anything make sense? She was so far into her mind that she didn't feel someone tap on her shoulder.

"Amity, are you okay? You've been quiet and haven't been looking like yourself." Willow said.

"Yeah, I-I-I'm fine. Can you get everyone to the Treasure Shack? I have an important thing to discuss."

"O-okay." Willow said.

Willow called Boscha, Skara, Amelia, Kat, and Gus. They all met at the Treasure Shack.

"So, why are we here?" Boscha asked.

"Amity said she has something important to discuss." Willow said.

"Well, let's hear it." Skara said.

"At the castle when we went into the Princess' room... I saw something, something only Luz should have."

"What was it?" Kat asked.

"It was a confession letter I gave her back when we were twelve. Shortly afterwards, we started dating." Amity said, "I... I think she's the Princess."

"Amity, think about-"

"What else could it be, Kat?! Why else would a note with the exact words I wrote be at the Emperor's Castle?!"

Amity looked at the group and saw Willow, Amelia, and Boscha's look. She walked up to them and got into Boscha's face.

"I know that look, you three are hiding something." Amity said before realizing, "You three knew, didn't you?!"

"I-I-I don't, we never said... Amelia knew it first!" Boscha said, finally cracking.

"Way to throw me under the carriage, Boscha!" Amelia said, "Yes we did know, alright! We had to keep it a secret."

"Why?" Skara asked.

"Well, when her mother threatens you; you keep your mouth shut!"

"Isn't her mother human, though?" Gus asked.

"Luz is the Princess, meaning her mother is the Empress. That means she is a human that has more power than any witch. With the snap of her fingers she can have you imprisoned."

"S-she can't really do that... can she?" Kat asked.

"She put a hand on my shoulder and I couldn't move. She's that intimidating."

"And Luz isn't any better. After the Grudgby game she said if I tell anyone about her then I'll be wishing for petrification." Boscha said.

"Speaking of Luz, has anyone heard from her today?" Skara asked.

"She wasn't at her castle or, at least, wasn't showing herself at the castle." Amelia said.

"I'm sure she's fine. She was probably in the throne room." Willow said.

Amity felt her scroll buzz and saw a picture sent from Luz's scroll.

"She just sent me a picture."

Amity opened the picture and nearly screamed at the sight. The picture was Luz tied to a chair. She was knocked out, had a black eye, bloody nose, and had a few cuts on her cheek. Her hands were shaking when she received a call from Luz's scroll. She answered it, unsure of what to expect.

"H-hello?"

"Hurt's seeing her like that, doesn't it?" The person on the other end said.

"Who are you?" Amity asked, trying to hold back her tears.

"Soon, it will be Emperor, but for now, you can call me Nathaniel."

"What do you want with Luz?"

"Princess over here is nothing more than leverage. For now. But seeing her contact list I just had to call the one labeled 'girlfriend'. Oh, looks like she's starting to wake up." The other end was silent for a minute, "Say hello to your girlfriend, Princess."

"A-A-Amity?" Luz said, quietly.

"L-Luz. She's done nothing to you! Let her go!"

"That's where you're wrong, she has done something. May 26th, 2006. On that day, months of planning were ruined all because of her."

"B-but that was the day she was born."

"Exactly. The day she was born it ruined everything. I had a plan to kill the Emperor and usurp the throne. It took months, but I had the perfect plan so no one would know it's me. Then she was born. If I killed the Emperor, then rule would go to her, then this damned hybrid child of theirs."

"So, it's you that's sending these assassin's after her."

"That's right. Oh, would you look at the time. As much as I love chatting with you, I have places to be, witches to kill. Farewell."

The line went dead and Amity dropped her scroll. She fell to her knees and started crying. The other's tried to comfort her, but nothing short of rescuing Luz could help her. Nathaniel walked up to Luz and put a finger and thumb on her chin. He forced her to look up at him.

"Ready to see the death of your father?"

"Go... to hell." Luz said.

"Ah, a human saying. What's the typical response to it? Oh yeah." He backhanded her and laughed, "I'm the devil."

He grabbed her by her bindings and dragged her out of the room. At the Castle, Belos finally has enough power to heal Eda. Lilith gave her sister a reassuring smile while King hugged her leg.

"Hey, Lily, do you think you could hold this?" Eda said, handing the gift towards Lilith.

"My pleasure. What is it exactly?" Lilith asked.

"It's a gift for Luz. I figured she'd like a cape, so I made one out of witch's wool. I plan on giving it to her after I get cured."

"Speaking of the Princess, have you seen her lately?" Lilith asked.

"Knowing her..." Camila said, making her way into the room, "She probably has a secret tunnel under the castle."

"Edalyn Clawthorne." Belos said, "You have shown incredible progress with my daughter's training. As promised, you shall be healed of your curse."

Before anything else could happen, Kikimora ran into the room.

"Emperor! Empress! We have a problem!"

"What kind of problem, Kikimora?" Belos asked.

"The Princess has been kidnapped."

"WHAT?! Where is this dead man?! Who is it?!" Belos said angrilly.

"They're outside the castle, on the bridge."

Before anyone could say anything else, Lilith and Eda ran out towards the front. Eda's gift landed on the ground.

"Who is it Kikimora?!"

"I still have a hard time believing it but... it's your brother."

"Nathaniel?" Belos said in disbelief, "It can't be."

Eda and Lilith made it to the bridge and saw Nathaniel with a beaten Luz on her knees next to him. Next to both of them was a large machine that has never once been seen on the Isles before.

"Ah, the Clawthorne sisters. Have you come to check out this powerful machine?"

"We've come to save Luz and kick your ass. Not in that order." Eda said, her blood boiling.

"Well, unfortunately for you, this machine will prevent you from getting that chance." He looked at Eda's gem, "It seems that curse was worth every snail wasn't it, Lilith? I'm glad I sold it to you."

Eda looked at Lilith with a shocked expression.

"You? You cursed me?"

"Edalyn, I can explain."

"You cursed me!"

Suddenly, Lilith was hit with a magenta beam and sent, back first, into the wall. The wall cracked and Lilith was knocked out. The impact cause large stone to block the entrance. Eda looked back at Nathaniel in time to see him take his hand off the machine.

"As you can see this machine uses magic and amplifies it tenfold. What I just blasted your sister with was level one. Want to see level ten?"

Eda spins her staff and then slams it on the ground. A large blast of yellow magic went flying through the air. She dodged his magic but in doing so, her own magic was being drained. Luz managed to get out of the rope and looked at the machine. She spotted something.

"The power card? That's what power's it!" Luz tried to come up with a plan when she remembered a lesson from the Construction track, "That's it."

She prayed to the Titan that she still has one in her back pocket and let out a small laugh when she feels it.

"Always keep a Power Glyph on you. You never know when you'll need it." Luz repeated what the teacher told her.

She pulled the Glyph away from the cover and placed it on her arm. She felt her strength increase and punched the cover that's supposed to protect the card. She ripped the card out and crushed it. The machine stops working and Nathaniel grabs Luz. He ripped the Glyph off her arm and ripped it in half.

"I am getting tired of you! You pathetic half witch hybrid!" He seethed, "I was going to be merciful once I claimed the throne and just lock you in the dungeon for the rest of your life. But now? I'm going to kill you!"

He picked her up by the neck and watched as she struggled to breath.

"No!" Eda screamed, "Let the kid go!"

"Poor choice of words."

He threw Luz into the pit of spikes that surrounded the castle. Eda quickly used her magic to grab Luz. Luz opened her eyes when she realized she wasn't impaled yet. She looked and saw that she was less than a foot away from death. Nathaniel used his magic to try and force her closer to the spikes. She saw Eda's gem start to lose more color.

"Eda, no! You'll run out of magic!"

"It's my power, kid. And before you showed up, I spent my whole life wasting it." Eda said, struggling to focus.

Eda's eyes started to turn black as Luz's eyes started to fill with tears.

"Alright kid, listen to me. I'm going away, and I don't know if I can bounce back this time. Watch over King, remember to feed Hooty."

"Please, no!"

"And Luz, thank you for being in my life."

She finally succumbs to her curse. Her magic leaves and this leads to Luz falling again. She gets caught and looks up to see Owlbert and Violet. They bring her up to the bridge.

"Thanks, Owlbert. Thanks, Violet. You're always there when I need you." She kneels next to Eda, "Eda?"

Eda lets out a loud screech and turns into the owl beast. She starts walking towards Luz when she was restrained.

"I had no idea that she became this amazing beast." Nathaniel said, "I think you'll play a perfect part of my plan. You may have won this battle, Princess, but I'm winning the war."

He blasted Luz with magic and it sent her around 15 feet away. He used his magic and He and Eda disappeared.

"No. Eda."

Luz started crying as the Coven guards finally got past the debris in front of the door. Luz was bloody and beaten, but none of that pain mattered compared to how much her heart hurt. Luz started walking, she doesn't know how long she walked, but by the time she stopped, she was in front of the Treasure Shack. She went inside and was immediately hugged by Amity.

"Luz, you're okay! I was so worried!" Amity said before looking at her, "W-what's wrong."

Luz fell to her knees and started crying.

"He took her! He took Eda... a-a-and it's all my fault!"

Amity got on her knees and hugged Luz. Sure, Amity was angry at her for keeping such a big secret, but right now Luz needed her. She needed a shoulder to cry on.

"Everything will be okay. I'm here, I won't let anything bad happen to you."
