Chapter 10: Fateful Meetings Part 2: First Steps to Immortality, a Demon, and an Auction.
July 10th
When I awoke the morning of the 10th, I felt different.
It was not a bad difference, but it was a strange feeling.
However, when Virgo said the same thing, and considering she hasn't felt this feeling before in what she can recall of her time, I figured something must have happened.
But nothing I did could tell me what changed, all I could figure out was that our bedroom had a strangely high concentration of ethernano but even that was fading and being absorbed by our home.
I could swear I saw the walls of the house glow when I examined it, almost like it knew I was looking closely and pulsed.
'What the fuck happened while we slept?'
When nothing else worked, I sat in meditation on the bed while Virgo sat beside me and pulled my magic sense inward to look deeper at myself.
My magic sense allows me 'see' through my mind's eye, the mana or ethernano in all things. So when I look at myself, the flesh would fall away to show my core, my mana pathways that circulate through the body similar to the chakra pathways of a ninja in Naruto, and many more things.
I could even see the absorption of ethernano particles, like tiny flecks of light, funneling into my core, being divided up into three separate sections, and being converted into liquid mana of my elements. The liquid then flows through my pathways in a cycle like blood before returning to the core and entering the deep reserves.
If I had to describe the colors of what I was seeing, the pathways glow a bright blue, my core would be a deeper blue, and my liquid mana would have various colors based on its element.
My potion magic had a violet-green mixed color.
My neutral mana that I filled the two smaller sections of my core with, that was used for other magic styles on one side and being funneled into the spirit world on the other, was transparent.
This liquid mana, mana pathways, and core could not be found if a mage were dissected. These elements are an astral part of our being and overlap with our physical bodies into one being. We are one but still separate, so these parts of a mage are both real and illusory at the same time.
With my sense, I could also tell when and where any issues crop up when I use magic. How to make myself more efficient, where I'm leaking mana, what I could do better.
It's an incredible gift and one I am thankful for.
Back to my current situation, when I looked at myself, I internally gasped.
'Seriously, what the fuck happened?'
My mana pathways, at least 20% of them, have turned from their light blue color into a light golden color.
And my core seemed to gain a golden mist on both the outside and inside.
It was just floating around, not actually doing anything or harming me, but it wasn't dissipating.
The mana inside my reserves stayed the same other than having a 'denser' feeling to it.
Coming out of my meditation, I explained what I saw to Virgo and she hummed in thought.
"Why don't you circulate your mana and see what happens?" (Virgo)
Seeing as I had no other idea of what to do, I nodded and began my circulation.
I watched as my mana left my core, much denser than I was used to, and began moving through my pathways.
I felt the power flowing through me and was surprised by what I felt.
"My mana is denser now, as if it increased a stage in quality, but my circulation speed has slowed down. My mana feels 'heavier' for lack of a better word while traveling through my pathways." (Dante)
I explained what I could of my internals while watching it flow around but when it reached the area where my pathways turned light gold, it felt as if the heavier mana entered into high gear.
My eyes widened at the sight of my mana flowing at least four times faster through the new pathways versus my usual ones.
And not only that, but I also realized with a startled look that there was zero mana emission from those pathways.
To explain it best, every mage leaks mana once it leaves their core. It's a part of life and cannot be prevented.
What a mage can do however, is train in a few ways to limit that emission or waste.
To hide oneself, to cloak their mana, they would simply pull it all into their core and not leak out anything, but this leaves the user defenseless. When you pull in your mana like that, you also pull in your mana resistance which leaves you vulnerable to other magic attacks.
What I did, and I'm sure many did before me, is to train my control of my mana to reduce mana emission or waste. And I got pretty damn far with the exercise. It's very similar to chakra control training from Naruto.
To use their system, I was at an ANBU level of control before but with my denser mana, I would estimate myself at Chunnin level control.
Now, when my mana went through my new pathways, there was zero emission. There was no sign of mana being used. There was no waste.
I skipped right over Sannin, Kage, and super Kage, and hit rinnegan level perfect chakra control.
When I explained what I found out to Virgo while staying in my meditative trance, she actually felt pensive for a moment.
"What is it? Did you discover anything?" (Dante)
Virgo hesitated for a moment before speaking.
"Master, despite my experience, I cannot see mana the way you do so I cannot give an expert opinion on the topic, but from what you're telling me, it sounds an awful lot like how celestial spirits feel their celestial energy.
We do not waste or emit excess energy and our control is perfect by nature. We were all born that way, but we cannot use mana.
Celestial energy is our source of power and it can be used to substitute mana with magic items, but we cannot actually collect ethernano and create our own mana.
Therefore, I don't know what to say since what your describing sounds similar to what I know but at the same time, it should be impossible." (Virgo)
I paused my meditation at her words and turned to face her only to pause at the look she was giving me.
"What?" (Dante)
"Master, your eyes." (Virgo)
"My eyes?" (Dante)
At my questioning look, she summoned a mirror from her dimensional storage and held it in front of me.
'Are those my eyes?'
Stupid questions aside, I had a decent reason for being curious.
The usual sight of cold blue eyes that I saw every day in the mirror was replaced with glowing gold rimmed blue eyes.
The blue was contained toward the center while the gold was seeming to be flowing like water, attempting to convert the blue into its own.
"Master, stop circulating your mana." (Virgo)
Absentmindedly nodding, I did just that.
And almost like a receding tide, the gold pulled back and allowed the blue through as soon as my mana left the golden pathways.
"I think we need to do some research." (Dante)
I wasn't against rapid change, but I wanted to know what I was dealing with and if possible, why I was dealing with it.
Virgo nodded seriously.
"Do you want me to cancel the two appointments for today?" (Virgo)
Taking my eyes away from the mirror, I shook my head.
"No, it's fine, I'll get them out of the way. It's not good to push everything back or next month really will be hell." (Dante)
Virgo summoned her book and checked the clock.
"If that's the case, you should get moving master, your first meeting is in three hours while the flight to Crocus is an hour and a half." (Virgo)
I nodded at that and decided to deal with immediate things first while pushing this new development to the back of my mind.
I pulled Virgo to me and kissed the top of her head.
"Do you remember what you said last night?" (Dante)
Virgo blushed and hid her face.
"I would never forget." (Virgo)
I smirked at her and decided to tease a bit.
"Then can I hear you say it one more time? Just those three words?" (Dante)
I heard her mumble something into my chest and moved my head closer.
"What was that?" (Dante)
A hand landed on my shoulder and pulled me into an intense kiss.
When we pulled back for air, she smirked at me.
"I said I love you master." (Virgo)
I smirked right back and touched my forehead to hers.
"I love you to Virgo." (Dante)
We stayed like that for a minute before I was unceremoniously kicked from the bed.
"Enough love for now, you wanted to make your appointment and I will be ashamed as your personal maid if you do not make it on time. Now come along and let's get you cleaned up." (Virgo)
Virgo entered maid mode. It looks like she got tired of lazing around and wants to get work done. There was only one problem with that.
"Ah, Virgo, ah, my love. Your words and actions are a bit, ah, incompatible." (Dante)
She turned to look over her shoulder from where she had been pulling me along toward the stairs.
"And what is wrong with my actions master? We need to get moving." (Virgo)
"Ah, well, easy there, it's not what, ah, you're doing, but, ah, where, you're pulling me." (Dante)
She decided my morning wood was the best handhold to pull me along.
In response to my words, I had to gulp slightly as I saw her eyes flash.
"It is a maid's duty to prepare their master, now let's go." (Virgo)
'This woman is insatiable! I need more constitution potions to keep up!'
*Line Break*
Four hours later, I was lounging in a private room at the headquarters of the Jade Palace courtesan business.
Just like the branch I spent the night in after getting my tattoo, it has the same set up except its much larger here. The business has branches in most cities and large towns across Fiore with Crocus as their headquarters.
The mistress I met back then actually happened to be one of the two managers that run the whole business beneath the head.
I never met the head who started this whole thing and built it up to where it is but many of the older employees have nothing but praise for her.
Saying she is a genius and the most refined woman they had ever met.
The mistress I met was named Mistress Li, and after I paid the extra charges I incurred and cursed my friends for ditching me when I didn't come out in the morning, I had a long chat with her about providing them with alcohol.
It seemed the alcohol bottle I gave to the courtesan who asked back then took it the mistress, who in turn asked her the head, and boom. I got a pretty good deal for giving a steady supply of a few types of spirits. And they even gave me VIP status so I can request a private room to deal with any face to face deals I want to make inside their building without worry.
I did try and give the head VIP status for my own business, and she accepted, but she only deals with me through mistress Li. She is a good customer, often asking for contraceptive potions and other sexual illness cures along with light aphrodisiacs and essential oils but I still have never seen her face or know her name.
Another point of interest here is that it seems I have been given an interesting reputation.
They are calling me the 'Golden Ticket'.
How that name came about? Well that's a funny train.
It seemed to start with the two girls that joined my three-way with Revy and Virgo. They spread around about how much stamina and skill I had in bed to take on four women and still be ready for more in the morning.
Then it seemed one of them got a picture of me because it spread around and comments on how handsome and princely I looked started being added.
Soon enough, I was being called the prince and one woman had mentioned how I was the golden ticket to the good life with me being handsome, rich, a beast in bed, and how I could hold a conversation without blatantly lusting after every pair of tits.
It also helped that I came by sometimes for my own business and stayed after to enjoy their services. And I don't mean the sex, I actually did stay for their other skills. I enjoyed a few tea ceremonies, some of their private concerts of singing and dancing for VIP's only, calligraphy classes, and a few more.
So when you added everything up, I came off as the golden prize to these woman.
I found it flattering and quite funny to be honest. I am not exactly a narcissist but having a reputation like that wasn't one I would reject.
There was one strange thing about it all however. I felt like my instincts were trying to warn me about something. Like something about this business had a familiar vibe I just couldn't put together. It was quite aggravating since no matter how many times I came by, I always felt it but could never figure it out.
In the end, I just shrugged and let it go. I would figure it out eventually and hopefully it wouldn't be too late.
(AN: I'll give you a hint. Who could the owner of this business be? A woman with the intelligence, skill, resources, and qualities to build up this kind of a kingdom wide business without ever letting her identity be known.)
I had just finished with the first interview as Katakuri. A man who owns a chain of restaurants and who is a cook himself wanted the VIP position.
I asked him a bunch of questions and he answered quite honestly. Not going to lie, I liked the guy. He was chill, down to earth, loved his work, and enjoyed seeing his employees benefit if he was benefiting.
Of course, Virgo checked that out beforehand. We paid some of our information brokers to investigate and see if they could find anything out.
The only things we found we cases where customers were thrown out for not behaving and causing trouble or things like groups of mages or civilian gangs trying to coerce them causing him to fight back by calling in mages from guilds.
It was a good record. When your targets record is to clean, when there is nothing wrong to see, that in itself is a big red flag.
No one goes through life without having some kind of trouble along the way.
Anyway, I told him I would be in touch and I was pretty much sold on the guy, but I had to be fair and meet the second client as well.
When the clock struck 4:28PM, two minutes before the appointment, I felt something…new…enter my passive magic sense so I focused in on it.
While passive, my sense works by sending out pulses that will still pick up things but if I am distracted, I can miss them. While active, it's like I'm actually looking with the Byakugan of the Hyuga clan from Naruto with my mind's eye.
So when something pinged on my passive sense as abnormal, I was able to make it active and focus in on it.
What appeared before my 'sight' was strange.
Every mage has mana pathways usually of a variety of blue colors, and other colors based on their element and styles for their mana.
What I was looking as however, looked like a very controlled, and very strange aberration. It had mana pathways, or something similar at least, of a deep violet color, and it's mana was pitch black.
Wait, mana isn't the right word. That wasn't mana, it was something darker. It was like a concentration of negative emotion distilled into a source of power.
It wasn't exactly evil per say, it was simply negative. If I had to call it an element, I would call it 'Yin'.
Yin element embodies negative, cold, dark, spirit and female.
Yes, Yin was the best way to describe the feeling of this being. And it was humanoid in nature.
The sight both intrigued me deeply and made me sigh.
'I'll bet a hundred jewels that's my client.'
The being walked into this building.
'Yup, why the fuck does this shit happen to me?'
The room I was in was comfortable with a few couches and chairs tastefully spread out with one wall opened up and covered in a large glass window.
I was sitting by the window where two lounge chairs and a table were placed so I was sideways to the door. A good position to be in for my line of sight and ability to hide my hands in case of necessity.
I also quickly placed four potions in different points of the rooms using Telekinesis. Two released a potent sleeping gas, the third released a heavy hallucinogenic, while the last was a flash potion, as soon as the cork is removed and the contents meet air, it will release a blinding light for up to seven seconds.
Taking out a fifth potion, I removed its lid and had the liquid spread out to form a large circle around my chair. It would prevent any form of energy from leaking out of the space. If things went south, I wanted to keep it contained.
With that done, I took out a new bottle of alcohol, the last one being finished between me and my last guest and poured myself a drink while I waited for whoever or whatever was coming.
What surprised me was that through my sense, I could see that the being was giving off some kind of energy, similar to how it looks when a mage uses a spell, and yet no one they passed bothered them. The only one walking with them was the receptionist from the front desk and they appeared to be affected by whatever spell was being used.
'Perhaps it's some kind of cloaking? But then how would she be guided here by the receptionist? Hm.. hypnosis then? That could be it.'
When they reached the door, a polite knock sounded off.
"Come in." (Dante)
My gruff voice as Katakuri resounded and the door opened to show a smiling receptionist.
"Sorry to bother you Mr. Katakuri, you 4:30 appointment is here." (Receptionist)
I nodded to her and she stepped aside. As a VIP, I can request a room for specific times and they will give me any service I ask, in moderation of course.
When she moved away, what appeared before my eyes was someone I instantly recognized and internally groaned at the sight of.
'Why fate? Is this because I messed with your timeline? Are you going to throw every problem at me in revenge before canon even starts?'
My next client, a woman with very notable features, silently entered the room as the door closed behind her and a silencing magic formation was activated.
The woman stood at a moderate height with an hour glass figure and an impressive pair of breasts. She had dark purple hair and black eyes. Upon her head was a white band which separated her hair, framing her bangs from her hair below the band. Worn upon her forehead is a small circular symbol with a small dot on the inside and surrounded by several dots around the top, it must have been a tattoo or birthmark. Tied around her neck was a small, white-colored strap.
Her attire consists of a very revealing, blue-colored leopard-printed kimono, bearing the decorative marks on her shoulders. The kimono is wrapped around her torso with a thick, decorative yellow ribbon that ties behind her back, and her outfit is complemented by thigh-high socks that reveal her heels and toes.
We eyed each other and didn't speak for a moment, studying each other, until I lifted my hand and gestured to the seat across from me.
"Shall we?" (Dante)
The woman studied my action for a moment before minutely nodding and moving over to the chair. Once she sat down, I started us off.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Katakuri and I am representing my master, the Ouroboros, in greeting a potential VIP client. May I have your name?" (Dante)
The woman stayed silent long enough for it to turn awkward before she finally spoke, and all the politeness went out the window.
"That is unnecessary. Your story does not interest me. Macro: Tell me all you know of your master." (?)
When her spell activated, under my transformation, I felt my mental defense tattoo flare to life and fight off the effect like an egg crashing into a steel wall.
Rather than give in to her demands, I just sighed and rubbed the bridge of my nose.
"You know, humans tend to enjoy being polite, Ms. Seilah." (Dante)
Seilah's eyes widened in slight surprise before she cooled herself.
One thing I didn't mention before about my client, is her large pair of golden horns sticking out of her head plain as day.
The woman sitting before me was none other than Seilah, a demon of Tartarus (AN: In canon, it's spelled Tartaros, which I find stupid. If your one letter off, just fucking say Tartarus). A being called an Etherious and the magic I was sensing from her is in fact curse power.
Just as humans draw in ethernano and convert it to mana, and celestial spirits use celestial energy, demons, specifically demons made by Zeref's hands, use their own source of energy.
If I recall it correctly, it was said that they draw power from the negative emotions given off by conscious beings rather than use mana. I am not sure what that entails fully but I have a feeling I will find out soon enough.
"You rejected my macro? Perhaps your story isn't as worthless as I thought. Macro: Kneel." (Seilah)
She tried a second time with triple the amount of energy of the first one.
My response was to give her the middle finger and stay seated while drinking my whiskey.
"Listen bitch, if you want to act without manners that's fine by me. Now, I don't give a fuck what your race is or where you come from, you have an hour of my time. Give me a reason to make you a VIP or piss off." (Dante)
She went to open her mouth when I cut her off.
"Try and macro me again and not only will it fail, but I will also cut off those beautiful horns of yours and shove them up your mouth watering ass." (Dante)
She paused at that and tilted her head in thought before a hand went up to rub her horns and she actually blushed slightly.
"You find my horns beautiful?" (Seilah)
I saw no issue with being honest and nodded.
"They are a beautiful pair; I have some kids with their own horns, so I learned to have an appreciation for them." (Dante)
If that surprised her, it didn't show more than her eyes widening for a moment before her cool look returned.
She had one hell of a poker face.
"How are you rejecting my macro? I have not had this happen before in my story." (Seilah)
I shrugged at her question.
"Don't expect me to give you a straight answer to that. I'll just say that most mages are ignorant or arrogant if they don't prepare a defense to mental magic, you're not the first I ran across and you won't be the last." (Dante)
I saw her eyebrow twitch at that, the second sign of emotion beyond that light blush.
"I do not use magic; we demons use the superior curses." (Seilah)
My face was deadpan at hearing that. I gave her a disappointed look and lifted my drink to ignore her.
"What thought makes you give such a look to me?" (Seilah)
At her honestly curious look I just sighed.
'What is with me running into woman with naïve personalities? First Brandish, then Ultear, and now this. Wait… for the love of… this cliché better not be here.'
I decided to answer her while my magic sense flared to life and I peered into her. Her Yin energy was something I was unused to dealing with, so it was taking me more time than usual to see what I wanted to.
"Seilah, you are a scholar, are you not?" (Dante)
At my question, she nodded with a trace of pride.
"Then you should know that magic had a beginning where it was called the one magic. That one split up to become many and the magic system of the world came into place. Correct?" (Dante)
She nodded so I continued while I kept searching.
"Curse power, to my knowledge, comes from negative human emotions right?" (Dante)
She nodded again and added on.
"It comes from negative emotions or more specifically, the seven sins." (Seilah)
I paused my actions and that bit of knowledge and saved it.
"Thank you for the correction. Anyway, you draw power from the negative emotions created through the seven sins from conscious beings. Now how does that work? Have you ever questioned just why humans can even give off such energy?" (Dante)
Seilah looked pensive at that before she shook her head.
"I have not. In my story, it seemed pointless to ask such a question." (Seilah)
"Then that makes you a failure of a scholar." (Dante)
This time her face actually morphed into slight anger before cooling again.
"How is that?" (Seilah)
I pointed a finger at her.
"You stopped asking 'why'. Scholar's should never stop questioning things. As soon as you do, you are admitting your scope of thought is limited and is not ready to break out of your comfort zone.
Never stop asking why if you call yourself a scholar." (Dante)
Seilah actually looked thoughtful at that. After a minute of pondering, she asked a question that made me smile.
"Then why are conscious beings able to give of a source of negative energy through their thoughts and actions?" (Seilah)
My smile turned into a smirk as I answered.
"Magic." (Dante)
I took a few moments to relish the annoyed look on her face, something about her makes me want to crack her emotionless mask as much as possible.
As I opened my mouth to answer, her face perked up, so I took a drink from my glass and watched in satisfaction as she started developing a twitch.
I stopped when her curse power started to flare, she was moments away from upping the game of her attack.
"Ok, ok, easy. The answer is ethernano. Ethernano exists in all things in this world, it flows through everything and everyone. Magical beings, that means human mages, animals, and other races, all have some form of relation with ethernano.
Human mages convert ethernano into mana.
Spirits use mana, not ethernano, to fuel their dimension which in turn gives them more access to celestial energy. But the cycle starts with ethernano.
Magical beasts form their own bloodlines and special innate skills by absorbing ethernano.
And demons, demons absorb negative energy from conscious beings. However, conscious beings all have ethernano in them. This is just my hypothesis from what I can see with my personal abilities.
A human civilian will still absorb ethernano just as everyone else, but with the absence of magic core, the ethernano will simply flow through and out of their body.
When these people develop negative thoughts or commit negative actions, I believe the ethernano in their body is absorbed and released in this form of Yin energy.
Yin energy is a type that emphasizes negative, cold, spirit, female, and moon elements.
Demons are creatures that absorb yin energy rather than ethernano, just as celestial spirits absorb mana rather than ethernano, except in their case, their dimension takes the mana and creates celestial energy. For you demons, you absorb yin energy and convert it through your cores into curse power.
Does that work for all demons, or just you Etherious books made by Zeref? I don't have the answer to that." (Dante)
Seilah stayed silent and listened. At some point I seemed to miss when she took out a notebook and began writing things down. Somehow, the sight reminded me of her being a naïve girl rather than the cold blooded human hating demons.
'Speaking of which, I think I bought enough time. I was right, the cliché was there.'
While internally sighing at my discovery, I tried to figure out how to go about this.
"For a lowly human, you have a very interesting story. I may not kill you after all." (Seilah)
I rolled my eyes at that.
"Great. You have thirty minutes left. Why don't you tell me what your agenda was today?" (Dante)
Seilah put a hand on her chin and shrugged.
"I don't see why not. I came because I was interested in your master. Human pioneering is a fascinating story, but what I found so far was disappointing.
I wished to find your master, order him to tell me his secrets, and possibly kill him if I felt like it." (Seilah)
My eyebrow twitched at that frank honesty.
"Well, you should give up, you cannot overpower Mr. Ouroboros. You will only get yourself killed." (Dante)
Seilah didn't seem to be able to understand that.
"Every story can be overcome." (Seilah)
I wanted to refute that, but I couldn't. It is true that every being, no matter how powerful, can be torn down from their lofty heights.
"That is a fair point, but your chances are incredibly low." (Dante)
"Where does your reasoning come from?" (Seilah)
I gave her a look and responded.
"My reasoning is that to get to my boss, you have to go through me. Challenge me and you will die." (Dante)
As I finished my words, I blasted my killing intent across the room.
I was no fiend who enjoyed bathing in blood, but I have accumulated my fair share of bodies being left in my wake. From magical beasts, to animals, to human bandits and mages, to nobles like the Phenex's, and even all the lives I took in my last life.
Magic has strong ties to emotion, and when you bring those memories of all you killed to your mind, add mana, and project it outward, you create an intangible wave of your intent to kill.
The more blood on your hands, the stronger and thicker the intent. It is actually quite similar to my hypothesis on how yin energy is produced.
For all that Seilah was in fact a demon, and one who had killed before, she was a scholar and assistant demon before anything else. Therefore, she is the demon with the least amount of blood on her hands.
I saw her shiver slightly with widened eyes before to my appreciation, she managed to push away her fear with pure will and jump back.
"Even if my basic macro can't affect you, I just need to power up and try again! Self-Macro: Limiter Release." (Seilah)
With a small explosion on black energy, the surrounding furniture got blown away except the chair I was sitting on. I did save the bottle of whiskey of course, you can't just let that go to waste, it was good stuff.
Seilah changed into a more demonic form than before. Her skin darkened and her horns became noticeably larger. Her hair became wilder, and the clothes around her torso disappeared to reveal her bare chest to be covered in an intricate, symmetrical tattoo that begins at the choker around her neck and ends at her stomach and hips.
Tartaros' guild mark was clearly visible on her stomach, underneath a heart-shaped design in her tattoo.
Her lower body significantly changed with her legs changing into narrowed stilts that gradually widen up to her hips that now flare out into two wing-like protrusions and her feet changed into those of sharp blades.
Even with all of that, my eyes were drawn to where she was standing rather than how she looked. She was only two steps from the edge of my energy suppression space from the potion I used.
'Not only is she close to the edge, if she keeps releasing that amount of power, the potion will be breached within two minutes.'
"Macro, Kneel." (Seilah)
This time my tattoo actually burned from how much mana it had to draw in, but the effect was successfully resisted. The main generator on my back was creating as much mana as quickly as it could to keep up the consumption.
Seilah actually became quite angry at seeing no success from her part.
"Why won't you kneel you lowly human! Macro: Kneel!" (Seilah)
I had to connect my main core to my tattoo to keep the fuel up, but it wasn't difficult with my actual mana cores reserves.
'Still, I think that's enough, I found how to solve my problem.'
With only a thought, the hallucinogenic potion I hid earlier had its cork removed, releasing a powerful but transparent gas into the room. It had no smell or taste as well so it was all but untraceable until you were affected.
While it took effect, I spoke to her.
"Seilah, I would advise you power down." (Dante)
She sneered at me.
"And why is that you lowly human!" (Seilah)
'Because I don't want to experience being punched in the face by your current state that might be physical stronger than me.'
"Because I am currently shielding this room from our energy leaking. If you don't power down in the next ninety seconds, the barrier will be breached, this meeting will grow out of confined space, people will see a demon, and that psychopathic guild master of yours will punish you for not following his plan of staying low key." (Dante)
Seilah actually paused at that. Despite her anger from her inability to successfully place me under her control, something she has not experienced before, she could still think logically.
Even a powerful mage like a wizard saint would still be hit with her macro ability and be affected but a powerful mage like them have multiple ways of breaking out. At least the top four do, the other six haven't shown to be that high on the food chain so to speak.
With me, my tattoo act as a shield and doesn't allow the macro to take control for even half a second.
"How do you possess so much knowledge of my guild? Where are you getting your source of information from?" (Seilah)
Seeing the gas flow into her through my magic sense, I relaxed slightly but kept my guard up.
"Information is a powerful thing; my sources are not something you could understand." (Dante)
Which is technically true. What am I supposed to say? I watched an anime in a past life where I saw your guild in action. Yeah, that would go a long way.
"Besides, it's a bit late for you to take action." (Dante)
Seilah tilted her head and spoke before her eyes widened slightly.
"What do yo… You are trying to poison me? Hahaha you fool, poison doesn't work on demons!" (Seilah)
I raised an eyebrow at that.
"Then why do your legs look like you're imitating a baby deer?" (Dante)
She was trembling and trying to stay standing.
"What did you do to me! No poison can work on me!" (Seilah)
'Well, it's not poison, I drugged you.'
Hallucinogens are drugs that cause alteration of visual, auditory, or tactile perceptions.
Still, for my plan to work, I wasn't going to tell her that.
"Aren't you curious about why your macro won't work on me? Well I already told you, you're not the only one with mental magic." (Dante)
And with that, I cast out my fishing line.
Seilah's eyes widened and fell to one knee.
"You fool, telling me that. Self-Macro: All mental magics have no effect on me, Self-Macro: All mental magic spells cast on me are dispelled." (Seilah)
And she took the bait.
Her confident smirk morphed into one of confusion before both hands shot up to her head and she screamed out in pain.
I moved for the first time from my chair to appear by her side and support her.
'Free yourself Seilah, let's see who you really are.'
When I peered through her yin energy, I found traces of foreign magic or curses on her mind. Once again, I had to deal with the cliché of a brainwashed girl but different from Ultear, Seilah was in full health. If I wanted to dispel the effect on her, I would have to drain her of all her curse power and overpower her, something I wasn't sure I could do.
Seilah wasn't the weakest demon of Tartarus, and she was mainly a mage type, but that didn't mean she was physically weak, especially in her Etherious form. Her curse was also overpowered, it's just that I had the perfect counter no matter how much she powered herself up.
On the other hand, if she decided to move her attention to using the environment with her macro or engaging me in close combat, I would have a tough fight cut out for me.
I was still sixteen no matter how far I had managed to come. I needed more time to mature and grow.
Also, because demons don't actually use mana, my magic sealing chain from Starlight wouldn't be effective on her.
The option that left me with was to try and direct her to make a self-macro command to get rid of any mental magic on herself. I was lucky in that I had chosen to set up the hallucinogenic potion.
It's always good to set an environment to your advantage if you can.
While Seilah screamed in pain, a black gas like substance was expelled from her head and into the air.
My eyes widened when I noticed it wasn't dissipating but trying to reform.
'A delayed effect! It's probably meant to try and return to the caster to warn them of the spell being broken. It shows a great deal of skill to be able to cast it inside another spell.'
Raising my hand, I summoned fire magic and attempting to burn it, but it remained unaffected and tried to make for the window.
'It's not mana so again, the chain is out, but wait… that's it!'
Jumping toward it, I got in its way right before it made it past the window and connected my hand, holding a space vial, with its body.
Like a vacuum sucking up dust, the black cloud was sucked into the vial. It had no conscious or intelligence aside from the single function of escape and return. And its only defense function was being in a gas like state.
Looking at the vial in my hand, I smiled.
'When I'm ready, I can release this cloud and follow it back to whoever cast it. Considering how it looked, I would assume it was Keyes or Mard Geer, which makes this baby a possible ticket to find their floating fortress.'
Putting the vial away, I returned to Seilah's side. She stopped screaming and was just holding her head in pain.
I took out a mental energy potion and put it in her hand.
"This will help with your mind, drink it." (Dante)
It goes to show just how painful that experience was because the strong willed woman didn't even blink as she downed it.
As she did that, I recovered two knocked over chairs and a table and stood them up before guiding her to sit down in a chair.
Sitting opposite of her, I allowed her some time to gather her bearings.
After a while, she looked up and I saw two trails of blood on her cheeks that fell from her eyes.
'Did she unlock the mangyeko sharingan?'
I couldn't help the random thought when I saw that; any anime fan would say it.
"Are you feeling better?" (Dante)
She nodded slightly.
"How did you know? Did you know of this beforehand? Did you plan to agitate me into using that macro from the start?" (Seilah)
I chuckled at the question but humored her.
"How is my secret but I recently helped another the same issue, so I was watching out for it. As for the plan, it was born during our talk when I discovered your condition.
As for your condition, I must ask, what kind of mental magic was placed on you? My other patient I just mentioned had memory and positive memory suppression with a beguiling effect to not be interested in certain topics." (Dante)
Seilah blinked at the question and held up a hand.
"Just a moment." (Seilah)
She placed her hand against her head, and I heard her mutter the word macro, but I couldn't tell what command she gave herself.
Her eyes flashed before she looked genuinely angry.
"I had four mental magics layered at separate times on my person. And there is only one place since I was awoken from my book that I allowed myself to lower my guard." (Seilah)
I had a decent idea of what she was talking about.
"Kyoka you bitch! I will command you to rip your own innards out and eat them!" (Seilah)
Seeing her going off into an uncharacteristic rant, I pulled my whiskey bottle back out, pouring two glasses this time, and sat back while hearing more and more extremely creative and brutal ways of torture that Seilah could come up with.
She even accepted the glass and continued shooting off vulgarities until I eventually had to interrupt.
"Not that I am not enjoying your extremely imaginative and probably well-deserved torture methods, but you only have ten minutes left of your appointment. I have things I need to do, and I only reserved the room for this time." (Dante)
Seilah took a few deep breathes and nodded.
"My apologies, I have discovered that my EX-lover, for that is the nicest way I can think of her at the moment, had been using the intimate moments we shared together to tire me out and have her mental curses cast on me. How she achieved it, I do not know.
Out of the four mental effects, I can only identify three. One to make me more sexually open to woman, one to make me despise humans as lesser species, and one to make me subservient to my fellow demons." (Seilah)
Despite the seriousness of the moment, I couldn't help but laugh at that. Seilah's face showed anger at the thought of me laughing at her before I waved her off.
"No my dear, I am not laughing at you. I am laughing at them, your fellow demons.
They look down on humans and see their own species as the higher evolution but look at what they did to you! They feared you! They feared what your curse could do to them."
At her unsure look, I took out the vial of the gas I just captured and passed it to her.
"Here, tell me whose energy this comes from and what you can tell from the curse. It came out of your head after all." (Dante)
She accepted it and I had to quickly grab it back before she shattered it in anger.
"That was Keyes, the slimy bastard who only listens to the guild master. That gas contains his unique poison as a necromancer that would be able to kill me if it were inside me and turn me into a corpse puppet. There is also a compulsion in it, which I assume was its main purpose. To make me never think to betray the guild, or more specifically, the guild master.
THOSE BASTARDS!" (Seilah)
Seeing her realize how betrayed she really was wasn't something I enjoyed seeing but it had to be done. Well, it didn't have to be done but it was the best way to help her.
"If your plan is to go storming in there and shooting off your anger, I would advise against it. You are very strong, but your magic works better on a single strong opponent or multiple weaker ones. Facing the other demon gates alone is suicide." (Dante)
Seilah calmed down slightly and nodded before giving me a sideways look.
"How do you know all this? We were sure that there wasn't a single leak." (Seilah)
I shrugged.
"You wouldn't believe me if I said it. Now, what do you plan to do from here?" (Dante)
She opened her mouth and closed it a few times.
"I…I…. um.. well to be honest, I never actually thought about my story outside the guild. Master Mard Geer is the one who found my book and awakened me around a century ago. Since then, I have spent most of my time inside the guild fortress, inside my library.
If the curse was placed on from the beginning, I don't know what to think of the time I spent there. My story is intertwined with Tartarus whether I like it or not.
I could try running, but they would find me." (Seilah)
I hummed in response and allowed the silence to come in for a moment before pitching my offer.
"Well, I can see three options for you." (Dante)
She tossed me a wary look.
"Which are?" (Seilah)
I raised a calming hand.
"Relax, if I wanted to manipulate you, I wouldn't have allowed you to recover your mental energy and would do something while you were muddled." (Dante)
She seemed to think on that before nodding in acceptance.
"Very well." (Seilah)
"Option one, go back to Tartarus, pretend nothing has changed, and find a way to break them from within to defeat them. Set up your own stack of cards and watch in satisfaction as it all, collapses in on itself." (Dante)
I saw her eyes flash at that, and a ghost of a fierce smile tugged at her lips.
"Option two, run. Go back, collect your valuables, and run. You have the ability of flight so just run and they will be hard pressed to locate you. Of course, you stand out quite a bit and transformation magic isn't an option so you will need to find a secure location." (Dante)
She looked tempted but still unsure, so I added the last one.
"And option three, do both." (Dante)
"What?" (Seilah)
"I said do both. Go back and make plans to break them down, and also secure a safe location to run in case your discovered or even if you just can't stand the place anymore. While revenge is sweet, don't dedicate your life to it. Trust me, you do not want to turn into some edgy unstable emo with a stick up their ass." (Dante)
For the first time since I met her an hour ago, she finally gave a small laugh.
"Ha, that's an interesting mental image. I believe you have a point, but I am unsure what do to with my time, all I know is that I enjoy reading and research. I was made differently from the other demons and was intended to be Zeref's assistant in his projects. Unfortunately, he had no need of me after my creation and never awakened my story again." (Seilah)
I played with that information for a moment before making a choice.
"How about we make a deal? I have need for a skilled assistant in my research and can offer a secure and comfortable location away from any prying eyes. I can assure that the area is well protected, even from Tartarus. I will even assist you in your destruction of the guild if that is your desire." (Dante)
Seilah gave me a speculative look.
"And why would you do that?" (Seilah)
I took a drink and answered.
"A few reasons. One, I really do need an assistant, something have been out of my reach for a while and it bothers me. Two, I prefer to keep an eye or remove anything that can be a threat to myself in the future, and that guild is a definite threat with Mard Geer's desire to rule over humans. Three, it really doesn't make much difference to me whether you accept or not, of course we will have to take steps to secure both our interests. And finally, I can feel some sympathy for you, to be brainwashed for so long and taken advantage of like that? In body and mind? That's fucked up." (Dante)
She eyed me with a searching gaze.
"I do not fully understand this emotion of sympathy. I understand its definition but not it's feeling. I was made to be able to feel emotions unlike my brethren, but I have little experience with it.
But more importantly, why do you keep saying you need an assistant? What could you need one for?" (Seilah)
I gave a weird look at that before my eyes widened slightly in realization.
'Fuck, I'm still Katakuri right now. Play it off or go with it? Hm.. I could use THAT.'
After quickly listing the pro's and con's, I decided to go with it. Her hate for her guild is genuine right now, so I wouldn't be worried about my identity getting out.
I held up a hand to stop her next question.
"I made a mistake in my wording but very well, consider this a show of trust on my part." (Dante)
With a small flash, I returned to my normal appearance.
Seilah's eyes widened in surprise before ending with appreciation.
"Well done, you actually managed to fool my eyes, and my eyes are pleased with your current appearance versus that uncouth one before. Mn, very pleased." (Seilah)
My eyebrow twitched at that, but I took it as a compliment.
"Seilah, between the two of us, who came out on top in our exchanges? Don't be so surprised." (Dante)
I was satisfied to see her eyebrow twitch in annoyance. I was sharing the love.
"I am the Ouroboros, I need an assistant for many of my projects. The name is Dante." (Dante)
For the next five minutes, I explained a few things to her and earned a small amount of trust from her, enough anyway to move to the next step.
"Now, moving forward, many things can happen so I would like to confirm whether we can be called allies or not. If so, I have a way to secure both our interests." (Dante)
She raised an eyebrow at that.
Despite how much it seems she has relaxed around me, that is not the case. She was currently internally reeling from a century long betrayal but thanks to me being the one who freed her, she is not shutting herself off from me just yet. If I left things like they are now, she would likely close herself off completely once she was alone and trust no one.
"Before I answer, how would you do that?" (Seilah)
Smiling, I requiped a rolled up parchment. It was clearly radiating a pressure that most people, mage or not, could feel.
"This incredible item has been called a Soul Contract. It is an ancient relic from some magic kingdom many centuries ago.
I had discovered it in a black market auction, where they had no idea what it really was, and had it identified by an expert after purchasing it. It seems these contracts were the prized creation of an entire magic kingdom's mages.
It uses ethernano from the environment to create a link between any souls that input their mana within ten minutes of activation and forms a contract that will follow any terms written down by included parties.
For example, if I wrote that only I couldn't say the word blue, you would also have to write that only I couldn't say the word blue, and then we can list a suitable punishment for doing it. If we said the penalty was death, I would immediately die.
According to the expert I met, it cannot be dispelled, broken, tampered with, or disrupted by other parties. It becomes impervious to damage from anyone not included in the contract and can only be broken if all the included parties rip it at once or if only one side of the contract is still alive.
I have been holding on to this item for a special occasion and I can't think of a better time to use it then right now." (Dante)
I got her interest as soon as the contract came out but as I spoke, her face grew more curious and excited.
"What an incredible creation, without that annoying mental suggestion, I can appreciate humans' skills for crafting. However, I still look down on humanity, I just think demons aren't much better anymore." (Seilah)
I laughed at that.
"I won't try to change your views, in fact, I said something along those lines to another just the other day. It's my belief that humans are one of the best and one of the worst races to exist. Humans have infinite potential for light and darkness, they can be the kindest creatures or the cruelest beyond measure." (Dante)
Seilah hummed at that and I saw a bit more warmth in her eyes.
"It is a pleasure to converse with a human who can think intellectually for themselves. Now, what would you have us write on this contract?" (Seilah)
I held up one finger.
"I only want two things. I was heavily warned about how literal this contract takes things so it's best to be to the point and not include many small things.
Just a clause that states that the two of us will not directly or intentionally indirectly betray each other.
And a second that any information we ask the other to keep a secret will stay a secret and not be written down or spoken of anywhere out of sight or to anyone else. The only exception is if we give permission to share the secret given with another." (Dante)
Seilah blinked in surprise.
"That's it? You don't wish to control me? To make use of my curse? To stop me from killing your fellow humans?" (Seilah)
I felt bad that those were her main concerns, but they made logical sense.
"No Seilah, I don't. You are free to live your life as you wish, I may have things I could use your help with, but I don't enjoy slavery. You do them of your own free will or not at all.
Your curse IS very useful but it's your curse, not mine. I am happy if you would assist me when I ask but why should I focus on using your power when I have my own? I'm a potion master, if I need something, I can create the effect.
And as for killing, no, I really don't care. To my eyes, and yes, I can tell, you are not a bloodthirsty killer. If you killed a man of your own free will, he probably deserved it. With a body and face like yours, you would have men doing anything to get to you, and that includes the crazy ones that should be put down for thinking of assaulting a woman against their will." (Dante)
I had a scowl on my face as I finished speaking. I have a personal hate, and I rarely hate things but simply dislike them, for rapists. I was never a victim, but I have seen just so many cases throughout both lives that it sickens me. To see the lost look in the victim's eyes IF they even lived. Many never recover from what was done to them, both men and women. Don't think only women experience rape, young boys and teens are often cases as well. Once you witness the atrocities that have been committed by your own race with your own eyes, you can no longer hide from the truth.
Humans can be rabid dogs that need to be put down sometimes, not imprisoned or judged, but simply killed. The world would be a better place without them polluting it.
A light sound of a burp broke me from my dark thoughts, and I turned to see Seilah with slightly flushed cheeks.
At my questioning eyes, she got out in a quiet voice.
"You were releasing quite a heavy amount of wrath just now; the negative energy was very pure and filling for me." (Seilah)
I blinked at that and chuckled. Somehow, her cute reaction cleared up the rest of the traces from my thoughts and I felt a bit better.
After that little moment, we both wrote down the two clauses in the contract and Seilah added that in the case she helps me with my work, I need to supply her with room and board. Something I had no issue with but found funny because just like Virgo, she does not require food for sustenance but for pleasure.
Apparently demons are terrible in the kitchen, no matter who it is, and they resented humans for their ability to make good food.
With ten minutes over the appointments scheduled time, we finished our meeting and went our own ways. Seilah would be returning to Tartarus and finding ways to tear it down from the inside while staying in touch with me through a small hidden communication lacrima I gave her. It was hidden inside her hairband and masked by her own curse power so no one would be able to discover it.
And as for the mental spells or curses, the mental arts are usually more subtle so the caster wouldn't not be able to know if the target was affected or not. It was a show of incredible skill that Seilah's spell or curse had a double layer that could try to escape and inform the caster. That is something you could only see from a mage with a deep amount of knowledge and skill.
If she were asked where the potion master she sought out was, she would just say the lowly human she met at the meeting wasn't Katakuri and was useless, so she disposed of them.
It's not like I was an interest to the whole guild, I had just attracted the passive interest of Seilah's curiosity for knowledge.
As for myself, I just grabbed some street food, specifically some croquettes from that lovely husband and wife duo I met years ago and went home. When I went back to those stalls the second time, I thanked the woman for her help with the flowers and left them with a small bag of gold along with two rejuvenation potions that can make the user feel a few years younger, their body does actually get affected internally, but you can only take it once in life and it doesn't change outward appearance very much.
I had a strange soft spot for the duo as I saw them as a benchmark for when I truly discovered my feelings for Virgo.
When I got home, I fed my lovely girl her favorite croquettes and told her about my meeting. With no prejudice against the species, Virgo didn't care as long as I wasn't being threatened.
For that evening and the following day on the 11th, I spent my time preparing for the auction and fitting in a few potions that Virgo was planning on setting aside till next month. The more of those orders I get done during these days, the less I have to worry during next month's rush.
On the morning of the 12th, I had to video call my friends to let them know why I changed the auction date. I didn't have to call Ultear, Brandish, or Seilah since it was their first auction. For my first three friends though, I decided to do it all at once in a group call, but I got an unexpected result from the three of them.
"You're going to Stella to take down the slave rings with the kings conclave's support? Wtf man?! Why do you get all the good jobs!" (Laxus)
"That's wild bro! You gotta let me come along for the ride!" (Bacchus)
"Are you all nuts!? Well, I'm sure you can take of yourself Dante but that doesn't mean I won't worry. Why don't you let me come along and help you? I can make time in my schedule." (?)
I laughed at their responses.
"Guys, guys, chill. Thanks for the love but this is an infiltration job and you all know that I'm the best of us at moving around quietly." (Dante)
That shut them up, but they all still muttered loud enough for me to hear.
"Yeah, yeah, the guy who can sneak past a sleeping wyvern for an ingredient and smack it's ass to wake it up before flashing me a peace sign and teleporting out." (Laxus)
"He has a point; I train my senses daily and the guy still gets the drop on me." (Bacchus)
"I work in a backstabbing industry and even had a fucking sonar installed and the guy still snuck up on me. Well, it's ok if it's him but still." (?)
After some back and forth, I got them to back off, but I had to promise to get them allowed to join the Bosco's military charge when I get the incriminating proof. It wasn't a difficult request since I just had to ask Toma for a favor and the queen of Bosco was happy to have an extra three S class material mages on her side. We did keep it under wraps however so their identity could remain hidden from the public.
The three masters of their guilds would not be happy to know they went to join a military invasion at only sixteen years old, well, we were all approaching seventeen but that's not the point. They each had the power to claim S class but were just missing the experience and age for their masters to give it to them.
Next year, I had my money on all three of them becoming official S class's. There is only so long those masters can hold them back.
At 6:00PM that evening, I used my office in my room to broadcast a wide range conference call with all my VIP's. Every screen was set to voice only with a random number to identify themselves.
Both the restaurant owner I met the other day and Seilah were present among the participants. I got around the one slot issue by making Seilah a premium VIP. Yes it's a bit hasty but we literally have a soul bound contract, so I didn't care.
For these auctions, I used my own voice to show it was the Ouroboros speaking. I knew who each of them were and the chances of my voice being recognized by them was very low.
Do you know how few people in the world actually have the ability to recall someone they only know through voice? Unless that voice has a unique quality like some super high or low tone, or they have a catchphrase like 'men', it just doesn't work.
And even then, I did plan to reveal myself in a few years when I have raised my personal strength and have a good handle on all my potential enemies that matter.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I welcome you all to the monthly auction of Ouroboros potioneering. As always, I will be your host today, Mr. Ouroboros himself.
To our new VIP members, I would like to give a warm welcome and a quick telling of the rules for tonight.
Unless you hold one of the fourteen pre-listed trade in ingredients, all auction items must be bid on with jewels. We do not accept other trade ins for the auctions, those are business orders only. If you do hold one of the fourteen, you will automatically own the item up for auction without a care for what price is being offered in jewels.
If you desire to place a bid, please press, and hold the red key and I will see your number light up. If someone places a higher bid then what you wished to, remove your finger from the key and I will know you are no longer interested.
I will not accept bids before I finish explaining the description of the item for sale.
Many of you will see potions for sale that you had previously purchased. I will note that when an order is made, you will receive the full amount discussed in the purchase. Leftover's however are saved and offered during these times.
Payments made in jewels must be submitted to the correct account in the bank of Ishgar by no later than 12PM on the 14th. That gives you 42 hours from this point to submit the payment.
Once the payment is received, the items purchased will be discreetly shipped to your current location or a location you specify.
I hope you all enjoy the auction. Let us begin."(Dante)
*Line Break*
Fairy Tail guild hall:
As the auction began, Laxus was enjoying a nice cold beer and relaxing on the second floor of the guild. The second floor was only for S class mages but considering the only S class they had was their ace Gildarts, and he was never there, he just came up to hang out whenever he needed some privacy from the craziness downstairs.
Sitting next to him was his grandfather, Makarov Dreyar.
Makarov's appearance was of an extremely short, elderly man. He has black eyes and is growing bald with only the outer rims of his head containing white hair and a thick white mustache adorned his upper lip.
He was dressed in a casual manner, with an attire consisting of a white shirt with a black Fairy Tail stamp in the middle under an orange hoodie. His attire was completed with matching orange shorts and an orange and blue striped jester hat.
Laxus and Makarov had a strained relationship ever since Makarov was forced to exile his only son and the father of Laxus, Ivan, for his criminal behavior of experimenting on civilians and even their own mages. Many lives were lost in the dark until Makarov discovered it and forced Ivan to flee. Whether he allowed his son to escape or not is hard to say, for even if he is well into his years, you don't stay a wizard saint without the power to back it up.
Since that day, Laxus fell out of his harmony with his grandfather. It wasn't really for what Ivan did, because trust me, all Laxus's love for the man died the night he forced the lightning dragon lacrima into him against his will. It was a painful process and the sound of his fathers deranged laughter while he screamed in pain ended any positive relation they may have had.
No, it was because he felt weak. He didn't like being in his grandfather's lofty shadow, to be told 'oh, your Makarov's grandson, you have a bright future ahead of you.'. Time and time again, no matter what he did was accredited to his grandfather rather than the blood, sweat, and tears he put in.
So he changed himself from a young happy go lucky kid into a confident and strong willed man. He rebelled against his problem and pushed himself as hard as he could to become his own man. But as a result, he grew arrogant and overconfident. Sure, his grandfather could squash him like a bug, but he was an old man, not a young teen like him.
So with the double effect of his problems with his grandfather's shadow and his arrogance, the two grew farther and farther apart.
And then everything changed one day. Laxus in his overconfidence took an S class mission and broke the guild rules. But when he came back, he had changed seemingly for the better.
He didn't brush off what he did or talk back to his grandfather and accepted the punishment like a man.
Makarov was floored by how smooth the process was without any fight from his grandson. When he asked Laxus to give him a report on the mission, Laxus was vague but confirmed five things that made the old man proud, happy, and wanting to chain the stupid boy to the guildhall and make him serve drinks and clean tables for half a year.
The mission was a success, Laxus made a friend, said friend was the same age as him and able to defeat him in straight combat, said friend woke Laxus up from his problems with logic and the start of a healthy rivalry, and finally, Laxus almost died on the mission. He survived because the two boys covered each other's asses and survived together.
From that day on, Laxus changed slightly. He was still his gruff, confident, and slightly secluded self, but he became a bit more open. He exchanged the occasional joke with the older members of the guild, he sat down with his grandfather to share a drink and talk about random things, he didn't cause problems for clients of missions, and he also took the time to watch out for the younger generation.
He became something of an elder brother figure for the guild. One who would kick you through a wall if you pissed him off but still Makarov loved it. He couldn't be more thankful to the friend that Laxus had met but he was a bit annoyed that he couldn't meet him.
Apparently the friend was connected to the Ouroboros potion master, so his identity was a secret.
But at the current moment, both of them were seated alone on the second floor, ignoring the loud noises coming from the first floor, and listening to their communication lacrima's so they could participate in the auction.
"I don't get why you can't just tell me your friends name, is it really that big of a deal?" (Makarov)
Laxus sighed and gave his grandfather an annoyed look.
"Damn it old man, how many times do I have to say I can't talk about it yet. Do you know the mercenary who works for Ouroboros? The big guy named Katakuri? Well, that guy can't go anywhere in Fiore without being recognized. I promised not to say anything so I'm not saying anything." (Laxus)
Makarov grunted at that but still accepted it.
"Fine, I can't fault you for keeping your word to a friend, but I still want to meet the boy someday." (Makarov)
Laxus gave in to that one.
"Fine, I'll ask him to come visit the guild. I'm meeting up with him at the end of the month anyway." (Laxus)
'You can fucking bet I'm meeting up with him. No way in hell I'm missing an event this big.'
Makarov gave him a side eyed look.
"Just you two? The last time you two hung out alone, I was getting complaints from the council about you two bringing down a dark guild." (Makarov)
Laxus waved his hand nonchalantly.
"I keep telling you, that was an on the spot type of thing. We just wanted some privacy to spar without worry for our surroundings and we crashed into their hideout by accident. When we saw the young women in chains, there was no way we were walking away like nothing happened." (Laxus)
In response to that, Makarovs eyes flashed with his raw mana before he reeled it back in and grunted into his drink.
"Good, never do. I'll handle the heat every time." (Makarov)
Laxus sent a thankful look Makarov's way and got a thumbs up in response.
"As for who, it's going to be the four of us. We try and get together once a month at least." (Laxus)
Makarov nodded. He was happy that Laxus found more friends his age.
"Sounds fun. Bob and Goldmine are also happy about you all being so close. It brings our guilds closer together." (Makarov)
He looked pensive after saying that and Laxus couldn't help but nudging the smaller man.
"Thinking about the past? You three used to be a team here in our guild right?" (Laxus)
Makarov nodded with a small smile.
"We did indeed. But when we passed our primes, and all the big challenges had past, the two decided to go off on their own and build their own guilds from scratch. And look at what they accomplished; they made their guilds into the top ten of Fiore within two decades. I'm proud to be their friend, but I do still reminisce on the past every now and then. It was five of us you know, me, Bob, Goldmine, Yajima, and ole Porlyusica. We had a lot of fun together." (Makarov)
Laxus chose to remain silent and let his grandfather enjoy his happy memories for a moment before he coughed and tilted his head toward the lacrima's when he heard Dante finish explaining the rules to the new VIP's.
"I hope you all enjoy the auction. Let us begin."(Dante)
Makarov woke up and paid attention to the video and sound in front of them showing the Silver tray on a desk and the S&M maid bringing out the first item.
"Gah! That woman terrifies me!" (Makarov)
Laxus chuckled but didn't disagree. He wouldn't admit out loud his own fear, but he wouldn't make fun of others for feeling it. His grandfather's next words derailed his sympathy for him though.
"She is like the ultimate trap! My instincts tell me to push on, whatever the challenge, to crop a feel of that magnificent ass, but I know the rumors and I fear for my manhood. You think she would punish an old man like me?" (Makarov)
Laxus scoffed in response.
"That woman would punish god if it targeted her master. I'm pretty sure she is a follower of gender equality but as for age? Well, she likes kids so I doubt she would harm anyone to young but for the opposite? Can't say old man, why don't you give it a try and find out." (Laxus)
He laughed as he had to duck to dodge a thrown beer mug that flew off the balcony and hit someone below if the shout of anger was any indication.
"Don't tempt me you brat! My life is at stake here." (Makarov)
To appease the old man, Laxus pulled one of the bottles he gets from Dante out to poor them both a glass of the amber colored liquor.
Makarov instantly calmed down and behaved. He knew Laxus gets a supply of the good stuff and hides it away in his dimensional storage. (AN: I said this before, but I will repeat. In my fic, the majority, not all, S class grade mages have SOME form of dimensional storage. Be it Requip, a magic item, or some other form of magic. Think of it like a wuxia fic and everyone who is strong enough to have one, has a space ring.)
He sniffed his glass appreciably and twirled the liquid as he asked.
"What's the name of this one?" (Makarov)
Laxus checked the label.
"This one is called Elderberry Brandy." (Laxus)
Makarov nodded and sipped at his very smooth brandy as they both listened in on the auction, throwing out bids occasionally, and in case of Makarov, becoming incredibly angry when he didn't win the bid for the hair growth potion. It took a reminder from Laxus that the potion may not work on already bald head, for the roots could have already died, to calm the old man down.
Someone the image of Makarov with long flowing hair growing from the sides of his head while the top was bald made both of them fall into laughter.
But what they both missed in their laughter, was the sight of a certain young girl with an already brewing alcohol addiction, sneaking up to them after catching the scent of high class booze, and listening in to the sound of the guy speaking through the communication lacrima who called himself Ouroboros.
Rather than go for the booze, she hid and listened closely while smiling like a shark who smelled blood.
The Ouroboros just gave the first drop of blood for that shark to follow.

Inside another guild hall, sitting in a soundproofed man pad style bar, was Goldmine and Bacchus kicking back and listening into the auction while soft jazz played in the background.
Goldmine was proud of how far his mage had come. He practically raised the orphaned boy from a young age and watched him work hard, day after day, to grow stronger for no other reason than wanting to be the very best. Bacchus loved martial arts and loved the adrenaline pumping sensation of a good fight, but he also loved booze.
Goldmine internally chuckled at the memory of the day the fool had managed to combine his magic, martial arts, and booze to create a deadly combat style that even gave him goosebumps at the potential it showed.
As they were placing their bids and relaxing, the door to the bar was opened up, which led into the rest of the guild, and let in the incredibly loud and hard metal music that was blasting throughout the place.
"WILD! Hey master, what ar..!" (Random guild member)
The guy who barged in got two beer bottles smashed into his face and thrown out of the room for his actions. The door swung closed without anyone to hold it open and the serenity of the bar returned.
"*Sigh* I told those fools not to bother me for a couple hours." (Goldmine)
Bacchus chuckled.
"You know they can't resist master. They are too wild for that." (Bacchus)
Goldmine cracked open a new beer and raised his bottle to that. Being wild was what their guild was about.

In a third guildhall, one more refined than the first two, another master and unofficial S class mage were sitting in a private booth that blocked sound from entering and listening along to the auction.
The first one was an elderly, bald, cross-dressing man, and he was the guild master of Blue Pegasus and his name was Bob.
He was wearing a purple spaghetti-strap shirt accessorized by a gold and fuchsia hoop necklace, and a vertical-striped pink and purple shorts. He also completes his look with red lipstick and blush on each cheek.
And on his back were small white wings that are surprisingly capable of flight, albeit to a limited extent.
He was effectively one of the worst terrors of many men and women across the universe.
Sitting across from him was the current prized jewel of their guild. The young, up and coming mage and already professional model at the young age of sixteen, Jenny Realight.
Jenny Realight is a slim young woman of average height and is renowned for her beauty, which granted her the fame of being one of the stars of Fiore's modeling ring.
She has long, wavy and flowing blonde hair, gathered on the back of her head, and tied in a ponytail that reaches down to her middle back, with two short bangs framing her face.
Her face is soft in shape, and she has large light blue eyes with long eyelashes and full lips.
She sports a top-model physique, being slim but at the same time sporting a large bust and ample hips.
Jenny was a girl who was raised in the modeling world from a young age as even as a child, she performed in advertisement and magazines. When she hit puberty and started really filling out, she started changing her types of modeling gigs until she hit the beauty model stage where her fame really exploded out.
But don't let all that fool you, she was also an impressive mage with a unique and very rarely seen take over magic called, Mecha Soul.
She could effectively create any machine she has seen or has a strong enough imagination of and turn into them as long as she had enough mana to fuel the machine in question.
Her issues with mana were what had held her back the hardest from her path as a mage and thanks to how busy she was, she rarely got chances to use her magic and expand on it.
But being a mage was her real dream and when she got old enough to join Blue Pegasus, she effectively cut her career in half much to her managers regrets.
She still spent lots of time modeling, but more as a side job while she focused her main attention on guild jobs and being a mage.
It was during one of those missions, a simple B ranked mission, that she met Dante, or Katakuri. One thing led to another, and due to her mistake, Katakuri was forced to take a strong hit from a magical beast and his transformation popped to show Dante.
After the combat, explanations were given. Dante tried to be evasive, but Jenny is one determined girl when she wants something and has the ability to cut through bullshit like a hot knife through butter.
It wasn't an instant friendship like Laxus and Bacchus, but one built over a few jobs that Dante kept posting and Jenny kept taking to learn more about the mysterious and incredibly handsome guy.
Sometime later, Dante introduced her to Laxus and Bacchus during a get together and all four became good friends.
She was the third premium VIP to join his group before he met Toma and subsequently Warrod.
She also had a crush on the guy, but that damn stupid maid kept getting in her way of making a move on him.
There was a third member of this guild that was listening along to the auction, the man known as Ichiya, the man among men. But that man was currently on a job and didn't expect the sudden date change for the auction, so he was forced to listen while out and about. He did find a secluded location for it, by entering a cave and scaring away the inhabiting bear with nothing but his words and actions.
Ok, he used his parfum, but most would say the bear feared more than just what it smelled.
"I hope you all enjoy the auction. Let us begin."(Dante)
"Oh~! What a dreamy voice! And he sounds so young to. I always expected it to belong to an old man around my age~!" (Bob)
Jenny laughed lightly and responded without missing a beat.
"Don't be silly master, your still young and in your prime. But I agree about the voice. It's very…. dreamy." (Jenny)
Bob's eyes flashed at her tone.
"Oh dear, don't tell me you fell for just a voice? Come now, don't be so simple, you have more worth than that.
At least try and see the package before you move in for a kill~." (Bob)
Jenny only laughed harder.
"Haha, no master, I'm not falling for a random voice. I just thought it was very attractive is all. A girl can appreciate the small things you know~."(Jenny)
She enjoyed speaking in a sing song voice every now and then, courtesy of spending too much time around Bob.
"I see, I see, I can agree with you there. Oh, he's starting." (Bob)
Jenny refocused and they both joined the auction.
Midway through, Bob made a small comment that made Jenny twitch and give Bob all the info he needed.
"You know~, you only said you didn't fall for a random voice, you didn't deny that you had fallen for someone though~." (Bob)
Jenny was caught off guard and twitched with a light squeak and gave Bob the confirmation he was looking for.
"Oh my, someone caught my little flowers attention, I can already hear the weeping of thousands of young men across Fiore~." (Bob)
Jenny recomposed herself and gave a small glare the older man's way. At the wink she got in return, she just huffed and slapped his arm lightly.
"Hmph, you're not getting anything out of these lips!" (Jenny)
Bob gave her a smile with a little too much teeth in it for it to be kind.
"Oh dear, only time will tell~. Now let's focus back on the auction, I want to walk away with something from this." (Bob)
Jenny shivered slightly.
'Why does my master have to love gossip as much as middle aged wives! And he reads people like an open book. I'll do my best to protect your secrets Dante, but you better show this girl some appreciation for it!'

Inside one of many high class lounge's that dot the royal palace, sat two individuals with a third leaning against the wall.
These three were King Toma, Princess Hisui, and the shadow guard, Kama.
They were all listening in on the auction and Toma was excitedly making bids of things he or Hisui wanted.
"Father, when will sir Dante come over again? It's been so long since his last visit." (Hisui)
Toma took one look at his daughters puppy dog eyes and gave in without any attempt at resisting.
"Don't worry my daughter, I have gotten his confirmation of coming soon. He might be busy this month as I had a favor to ask but I'm sure early next month he will have the time. I'll personally remind him." (Toma)
Hisui gave a bright smile in response and sat back in her chair with a straightened spine and watched the Lacrima with warm eyes.
'Dante's voice is so soothing to me. It always feels like a healing potion for my mental energy whenever I hear him speak. I hope he comes soon.' (Hisui)
Kama was the only one in the room who could correctly guess the look on Hisui's face and sighed.
'Dante, man, please let down the princess easy. I can't imagine what Toma would make me do if he found her crying but I don't want to die by following an order to attack you.'
Kama had a hard life.

Deep inside the headquarters for the Fiore magic council, inside the private sector that held the rooms of the higher grade members, lied Ultear sitting in her secured room.
She was laying on her stomach on her bed and playing with her communication lacrima as she listened to the auction go off.
'So this is his auctions? How interesting. His life seems to be full of so much fun and interesting things, I can't wait for our next opportunity to hang out. And he is quite handsome as well, those muscles, that body. Mn, what I would do that…. wait! Wake up girl, don't fall that easily, he might have changed my life, been the kindest person I've ever met since my mother, and treated me so well while bringing a smile to my face when I was lost.
Damn! I fell into it again!
Take control girl! Don't let these damn hormones make you get lost in those….beautifully cut abbs…. and those..
ARG! Get out of my head!'
If anyone were there to see her, they would laugh at the image of the usually refined and graceful Ultear rolling around on her bed and making a mess of her hair.
'Fuck me, I'm hooked on the guy, aren't I?'

On the other side of the ocean, a pouting green haired girl was sitting inside a room in the royal palace of the Alverez empire.
Thanks to being the apprentice of the court mage of the empire, she was allowed her own room in the palace and treated with a lot of respect, not that she cared much about the second part.
The girl was of course, Brandish U.
And Brandish was pouting for two reasons.
One, her mother wasn't at home when she came to visit with her teacher. She was told by a neighbor that her mother left in a rush back to Fiore, something that had to do with her old friend required her immediate attention.
Without her there, they skipped the visit and returned early with her teacher promising to take her for a second visit in a month or two.
The second reason she was pouting was because when she went to ask lady Irene about the questions on relationships and sex, she was followed by her curious teacher and taken away before Irene could respond. All she knows is that something she said made Irene fall down laughing while holding her stomach and she wanted to know what it was. Her teacher couldn't stop her forever.
For now though, she was happy to listen along to the auction going on by using her communication lacrima.
Alverez is much more advanced and united than Ishgar thanks to the whole land being united under one empire versus Ishgar's multiple kingdoms.
Along with their advancement, they created radio towers that amplify communication lacrima's inside their borders. Thanks to that, she could listen along to the auction going on in Ishgar.
She wasn't angry about her limited participation since Dante had sent her a private message saying not to bid on anything and he would give her a discount for every potion she wanted but couldn't get the next time she came over.
It made her smile in victory at getting preferential treatment.
"Hey Bri! I came to play!" (?)
While she was laying on a couch, her door was unceremoniously slammed open and a young blond woman of the same age as she came in uninvited.
"Dim, how many times do I have to say to knock?" (Brandish)
The blond girl tilted her head in confusion.
"You never said not to." (?)
Brandish tilted her head as well.
"Did I? Well, I'll say it now. Don't do that, it's loud." (Brandish)
The blond girl just shrugged and jumped over the couch to land right on top of Brandish.
"Oof! Your heavy!" (Brandish)
"Hey! I am not heavy, it's just the armor I'm wearing. Now what's with the communication lacrima? Are you watching something interesting?" (?)
Brandish tossed that question around her head before shrugging and giving a simplified explanation. Saying she met a potion master by coincidence and got added as a customer. She didn't give out any personal information about Dante as he asked her not to.
"Oh! That sounds interesting, let me join the fun!" (?)
Brandish rolled her eyes.
"I can't add you to his client list Dim." (Brandish)
The girl thought about that before a figurative light bulb went off above her head.
"Then I just had to meet him and get added, where is located again?" (?)
Brandish raised an eyebrow but still answered.
"In Fiore on Ishgar." (Brandish)
The girl looked like she swallowed a lemon.
"Grr… fine, we can go later, but I will get added! I want to be included!" (?)
Brandish chuckled at her close friend.
"Sure, I'll ask him about it later. Now, can you please get off me?" (Brandish)
A bright sunny smile was her response.
"Nope~!" (?)
A sigh of despair escaped her lips at that one word.
The girl laying on top of her was her best friend, Dimaria Yesta, the future warrior queen and current user of a special take over magic, god soul. One that allowed her to take over the god of time, Chronos, through unexplained means, and gave her a second caster magic related to time.
She was a fierce warrior, but her hands had yet to be covered in as much blood and insanity of the battlefield as her future counterpart. She was less sadistic and more alive on the inside at this point. And her future would be forever changed by a chance encounter while tagging along with her friend to meet a mysterious potion master.

Inside a floating cube over the skies of Stella, a certain horned demoness was also participating in the auction.
She was enjoying a nice glass of wine inside her personal library and was keeping one eye on the auction, and the other on a notebook on the desk in front of her.
'Kyoka's hobbies include….. she spends most of her time…..
Keyes is… he is seen often in…..
Mard Geer….'
In that notebook, she was writing down everything she knew of her fellow demons so she could start creating plans to tear them down and eliminate them.
Of course, she wasn't writing in the common language but a coded one only she knew how to cipher.
She occasionally turned back to the orb that was playing a video of potions being presented along to the sound of her new ally's voice.
'With the contract in place, I see no flaw in my logic that states I can fully trust him to assist me. And with such a man on my side, these fools won't see what's coming until it's too late. I will make them pay for what was done to me!'
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
A loud knocking sound broke Seilah from her thoughts to hear Kyoka's voice on the other side.
"Oi Seilah! What the hell did you mean with your message!" (Kyoka)
Seilah sighed.
She sent Kyoka a message saying she found something interesting to research and would be available for some time. For a demon, saying 'some time' could mean anything from a day to a decade so Kyoka was probably mad at the vague answer.
Still, she had to respond to make her shut up so she could focus.
"I'll only say this once, I found something interesting to research, I will not be available for some time for your sexual urges Kyoka. I shall accompany you once I am finished." (Seilah)
Her emotionless tone brought no suspicion from Kyoka. It wasn't uncommon for the more research heavy demons to close off for a while. Both Keyes and another demon named Lamy who works under her were the same way.
The only annoyance to her was that her favorite lover was no longer available. She went away to go find someone else to relieve her urges while never even bothering to think of the possibility that the mental magics were broken.
And why would she? Or even Keyes? Those spells were set around a century ago and nothing had occurred since. They probably forgot they even placed them.
'They will all burn, especially Kyoka.'

On the inside of a massive mansion filled with high class sophistication, a blonde man was sitting at his desk with an exhausted and troubled look on his face.
In front of him lay his communication orb showing the auction going on.
This man was one of business and he respected another business like this potioneer for its products and managed to secure a VIP slot.
However, he is still skeptical on all things magical by his nature for logic and the working order of business made much more sense to his mind. You could say magic was out of his comfort zone, a rarity among the citizens of the world.
But no matter what his personal opinions were, he would throw them aside to save the woman he loved any day.
He looked to the side to see a picture frame with him, his angelic golden haired wife, and their young ten year old daughter before he turned back to the orb once more.
'If all else fails, I will beg this man to save her. Please god, let my Layla live through this trial. I fear for what I might become if I lose her.'
Little did this man know, his prayers were heard by fate, and a certain green haired young man would be throwing his hands up in aggravation at the world a few days later.

Back with Dante
"I hope you all enjoy the auction. Let us begin."(Dante)
On my desk was placed a silver tray where I would put the item in question for sale and point the only video portion of the call to each of them.
Virgo, my lovely assistant, would be the one to change the items on the tray. I could almost feel the tension each of my VIP's were giving off when she smiled.
It was like the devil was standing before them in the image of a beautiful bright pink haired maid.
I could almost smell the amount of pleasure she was getting from doing it to. She really loves S&M play, but I never allowed her to make me an M, so she finds her S pleasure in other ways. And even then, I am not THAT into the fetish. She gets more than satisfied with what I supply her with, so she isn't going unsatisfied in any way.
When it comes to punishing people who threaten me though. That's less pleasure and more just Virgo expressing her wrath in a calm and scary way.
"The first item for sale tonight is twelve vials worth of Azure potions. The Azure potion is…
The starting bid is one thousand jewels, #18 has bid 1,000 jewels. #24 has increased it to 2,000." (Dante)
Like that, the auction set off and one item after another was sold off. I had to actually put all the potions in separate vials versus my space vials to prove I had the amount in stock. Virgo would place Vial stands that could hold anywhere from half a dozen to a few dozen vials on the tray with the glowing colorful products.
One entry made me roll my eyes at their enthusiasm.
"Entry #23, four bottles of Bloodflower wine, starting bid is….. Ok, ok, sheesh. #9 has bid 10,000 jewels, #4 has bid 23,000 jewels, #15 has bid 42,001 jewels…." (Dante)
My potions were popular, but I swear everyone in this world was an alcoholic. Not that I'm much better but I find it very difficult to get drunk so I can enjoy it for the flavor.
The entries went one after the other, some getting high bids while other sold for lower than retail price.
Water-breathing, water walking, various specific poison cures, various low grade poisons, lung clearing for smokers, hair growth, vitality booster, extra stocks of low grade stamina, health, or mana potions, a few specific cures for diseases (which is different from poison. Poison and disease are two separate categories) (AN: Listen to the man, he is a potion master, he knows what he is talking about.), and various other potions I accumulate and have no use for were sold off.
All my potions have expiration dates. It really depends on the type of potion and the vial I store it in. Space vials hold things the longest but only I can use them while others can vary from a day up to six months.
But because of the expiration, clients can't just order huge amounts and be happy. They wouldn't be able to use it in time if they did.
And if I discovered anyone reselling my potions in large amounts, I would cut them off. It's fine for things they buy for themselves, but I can't have someone retailing my stuff, that would kill my reputation! You can never trust others to give the same quality you would with your own work.
Eventually, the auction's ending came near after two hours of items being brought up and sold off, not a single one went unsold.
"Finally, we come to the end of our monthly auction. As always, I leave the final three entries for the best quality items. I will remind you all that these next three items are NOT listed with one being better than the other. Please do not assume the final entry is better than the third to last entry.
Ladies and gentleman, I give you final entry #1, the Mopsus Potion." (Dante)
Virgo brough forward a single vial holder carrying a glowing silver potion.
"This is an advanced grade potion with a unique effect. I am sure a few of you specifically would love to try out its effects.
The Mopsus potion presumably gives one temporary Seer-like powers!
It gives the user a 24 hour Seer ability with a single function. It will allow the user to see the faces of all those who intends them harm. It cannot tell you where, when, or why they plan to strike, but it can tell you who your main enemies are by showing you their faces. Be warned that it only shows you faces, and it will only show the ones who are intending you harm more than others.
For example, if twenty people intended you harm, but only five of those twenty were making plans to take action, only those five would appear to you.
If you managed to remove those five, the next in line of danger to you would come.
It is quite the incredible potion is it not? I will give one final warning and we can begin the bidding. The potion detects those who intend harm, and it will show only those who intend you more harm than everyone else. But sometimes, if the next person in line simply wanted you to have a stomach rather than actually intend you lethal harm, the potion will not differentiate, so I warn you to take caution before acting.
Now, let's begin.
The potion got a sky high price and was sold to the queen of Minstrel. The terrifying woman who wanted my babies and to chain me to her throne through marriage. It would be less tempting if the damn woman weren't drop dead gorgeous and made sensuality into an art form.
The second potion to go up was, an invisibility potion.
It granted perfect visual invisibility for the user. However, it did not mask scent, sound, or magic usage. It was sold for a decent price over its market value, so I made a profit, but not one as high as the first potion.
The final item was… an uncommon potion for me. It was one I made only because I wanted to test my skills more with advanced potions.
It was called the Magi-Mi-More potion.
The effect of this potion was to allow an older mage to regain some of the power and concentration they used to have in their younger days. It works by mainly affecting the mana core of the drinker. It is similar to Lasik vision surgery from my past life, it shaves off much of the surface layer on the core to refine it.
It serves no purpose for younger mages but for an older one, it cleans up much of the excess that gathers on the core throughout their lives and rejuvenates the core, healing up any damage, and as a result, ethernano flows faster into their core.
To an older mage, it will feel like shaving off years of stress on their core. For younger mages, it would be a waste, like using a Q-tip to clean their ear.
Needless to say, many of my VIP's were in their older years and loved the idea of the potion. They fought tooth and nail for it, but it eventually was won by the Pengrande king.
"And with that, we are at a close. I thank you all for participating and hope you have a wonderful day.
To those who purchased an entry, I have it logged down. I shall wait until 12PM on the 14th for your payments to the bank. As soon as I receive a notification, I shall send the items.
Thank you." (Dante)
With that done, I flipped the switch, and the conference call was ended on all lines. I double checked to make sure nothing was being sent from my side before I fell back into my office chair.
"Ahh~ I'm glad that's done with." (Dante)
Virgo came around the desk to sit sideways on my lap and run her hands through my hair.
"Congratulations master, you did a wonderful job. We sold every item." (Virgo)
I chuckled at that and wrapped an arm around her waist.
"We did a wonderful job love, and don't think I didn't notice you getting wet at the frightened tension we could feel on the other line of the call." (Dante)
A small smirk adorned her face as she responded and kept playing with my har.
"I have no idea what you're talking about master." (Virgo)
"Mhm, well anyway, at least were done with that and I can have a few days to relax and possibly get some more of this month's quota out of the way. What do you think of going to relax in our sauna?" (Dante)
Virgo's eyes lit up and she nodded her head happily.
"I'll go turn it on, please join me in a few minutes." (Virgo)
With that said, she gave me a kiss and hopped off my lap. If she put a little sway in her hips to entice me, it worked.
'That girl, she really loves activities with our clothes off. Not that I can complain.'
I chuckled at that thought and closed my eyes for a moment of rest.
'And now I chill until the 17th.'
Unfortunately for me, fate came knocking on my door, and the morning of the 14th, I got an unexpected call from one of my VIP's.
"Mr. Ouroboros, this is Jude Heartfilia's, I beg of you to please make a house visit and save my wife." (Jude)
'Fuck you fate, just fuck you.'
