Chapter 12:A Perfect Ending
As the school picnic started, all of Charlie Brown's friends were there as not only was Simon the guest, but also Mumble, Gloria and the Amigos as Charlie Brown introduced them to his friends.
"You know, this turned out to be an interesting day." Snoopy thought as he began to eat a submarine sandwich. We met new penguin friends, went on an adventure and solved a mystery about a grave.
Simon Lazlo was playing the violin as Schroeder was interested as it went well his piano playing.
"I can't believe that your violin playing goes well with my piano playing." Schroeder said. "I just hope Beethoven doesn't find out."
Linus then stood up and said "Can I have everyone's attention?"
Everyone looked at Linus.
"I just want to welcome everyone to the school picnic." Linus continued. "Every year we ask someone to talk a little bit about themselves. This year, it's my new friends, Mumble Happy Feet, Gloria and the Amigos."
Mumble stood up and said "Thanks, Linus. I came all the way from Emperor Land. And it's my first time being away from the cold. On my journey, I met a new friend, Charlie Brown. And on a day like this, I look around at all of you and I see stories. And today, me and my friends have a new neighborhood story. The real story of the No Name Grave. It was a family legend that brought Mr. Lazlo to the No Name Grave. And a ghost story brought me and my new friends there as I was bored back in Emperor Land and wanted to search for adventure."
Charlie Brown blushed.
Mumble then continued "And then our story brought my old friends, Gloria and the Amigos there. To different stories brought us all to the same place. That's what stories do. They bring us to the same place. And this journey I went through, well, it's our journey. My new friends might be ordinary friends. But we're friends with our kind of story. You know, as Mark Twain said "There is no such thing as an uninteresting life: such a thing is an impossibility. Beneath the dullest exterior, there is a drama, a comedy, and a tragedy.""
Everyone clapped for the penguin.
"That was great, Mumble." Linus said. But how did you know about Mark Twain?"
"I learned about him from someone smart." Mumble said. "And that someone was you."
"Aw, shucks." Linus said.
Mumble then turned to Charlie Brown and said "I hope we can see each other again soon, and have more adventures, Charles."
"Me too, Mumble." Charlie Brown said. "If we're lucky, we could have a million adventures."
Thus ends a great adventure with Mumble Happy Feet and Good Ol' Charlie Brown.
