You know I've been forgetting a lot lately, one of those things is to update on this site, which isn't something I'm happy about. Honestly, I should have posted this chapter a long time ago, but I forgot. Anyway, this is the last chapter of this story, and the next story will have it's first chapter out soon.
Dapper64: Thanks, I had a lot of fun writing this one, and I don't plan to stop writting yet.
It was now getting late, and the two of them were headed home after a long day. "So, I guess this isn't that last day of our relationship after all." Nishikata said happily, as he walked with his arm around Takagi-san.
"Yeah, from the looks of it, we're going to be together for quite a while." Takagi-san replied. "Also, you're sure you're okay with being teased by me for the rest of your life?"
Nishikata nodded reluctantly. "If it means I get to stay with you, then yes, I'll take it."
"Does that mean you're not going to ask me to stop teasing you for your reword?"
"Huh?"
"For winning yesterday, you still need to pick something for your reward."
"Oh, that ... I haven't really thought about it."
"Really? I figured you would have something in mind for months now."
"Well I did but ... things changes."
"You mean, we're together now, right?"
Nishikata blushed and looked away before nodding reluctantly. "I guess I can't even win when I actually do win."
"You don't call this a win?" Takagi asked with a mischievous smile.
"I ... guess you have a point; this is definitely a win."
"See? I told you" They continued walking for quite some time in silence, until Takagi-san finally spoke up again. "Say, Nishikata?"
"What is it?"
"What do you think our future is going to be like?"
"Our future?"
"Yeah, do you have any plans for highschool yet? Or any idea what you want to do with your life after that?"
"Can't say I do." He replied. "I've been thinking about it, but it's really hard to come up with something."
"I know that feeling, no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to narrow down what highschool I want to go to, or what I want to do when I get older."
"Yeah ... the only thing I know for sure is that you're going to be there." He gave her a side smile. "Future Mrs. Nishikata."
"Oh?" She asked, giving him a sly smile. "We've only been together for about a week and you're already thinking about marriage?"
He began to blush as he jumped back with his hands up. "NO! I mean ... I was only ... when we first started you said ..."
Takagi-san laughed, causing Nishikata to ease up a little. "I know, you're just trying to tease me, but you should be careful, you never know when someone might call you out."
"Huh?"
"That could almost be interpreted as a proposal, and all I'd have to do is accept, and we would be engaged."
Nishikata blushed, until Takagi-san walked up to him and leaned in. "I did say almost, so don't worry." She placed a hand on his shoulder and began leaning closer, until they pulled each other into a hug, with Takagi-san's head nuzzled into his chest.
"Perhaps ... some day?" Nishikata asked
"Yeah, some day."
They continued their way home, until they reached Takagi-san's house, where it was finally time to separate. "Well, I guess this is good night." Nishikata stated.
"Yeah, but there is one last thing." She turned to him, and brought her face closer to his. "We need to say a proper good night." She placed her hands on his shoulders and began bringing her face ever closer to his.
'A proper ... I ...' His mind stopped working, and he began to move to pull her closer.
Before he could fully embrace her, though, she quickly kissed his cheek, and backed off with a large smile. "Like that." She said before backing through the door to her house.
'She's just ...' "Wait!"
"Good night."
"I forgot something!" He exclaimed, causing her to open the door again and look at him.
"You forgot something else?"
"Yeah, something very very important."
"And what might that be."
"Easy." He walked up to her and brushed aside a strand of her hair. "I love you."
There was a long pause as a small blush appeared on Takagi-san's face. "You ..." She smiled, then threw her arms around the back of Nishikata's neck as she pressed her lips to him, causing him to step back a bit. As he regained his balance, he wrapped his arms around her and eased into the kiss. They remained there for a few moments until they finally separated with their foreheads touching. "I love you too." They slowly let go of one another as Takagi began backing into her house once more. "Now, if you're not forgetting anything else."
"That's all I can think of."
"Then good night."
"I ..." He smiled and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Good night."
She ducked behind the door again, and as soon as she was on the other side of it, and out of sight of Nishikata, she grabbed her chest and dropped to her knees with the biggest blush on her face. "Mrs. Nishikata ... I kinda like the sound of that."
