Countdown of 12 Days of Christmas

Day 12- Christmas Possibilities 12/25/2020

A/N: I'm writing a small author note to clarify, because if you start reading, you'll have no idea what's going on. These are a few possibilities how Christmas could be for Percy and Annabeth. Just read it, I'll explain in the bottom A/N :D

"Silena! What are you doing?"

Silena stopped in her tracks and innocently turned to Percy, well, as innocent as you could be with a blue cookie in your mouth and wrapping paper clutched in your hands.

"Um...Santa came, and he didn't seem to like the cookies, so I decided to try them on my own. They're good."

"And the wrapping paper?"

"One of the present's wrapping seemed messy," she lifted up the box. Of course it was the one Percy wrapped for her. Of course.

"So I'm fixing it."

Percy almost laughed out loud. The fact that her daughter was using an imaginary human as an excuse was just hilarious.

"I don't believe you, Silena."

He lifted her up, and hoisted her legs around his waist.

"Now tell me the truth."

Silena looked down, and Percy felt so bad. "Don't tell mommy, but I wanted to try the cookies. And see what I got for Christmas."

His weakness was this little human he could carry with an arm. He loved her so much, just like Annabeth.

"I won't tell her. It'll be our little Christmas secret."

Annabeth rushed out of her bedroom, after hearing Piper. "What happened?!"

"Oh nothing. Just that it's time to open presents."

Anger flushed through her. "You woke me up for opening presents, pretending you were hurt, when I could've been peacefully sleeping?!"

She beamed. "Yup! Now come on! Open mine first!"

Giving up, she sat down on the carpet of their apartment, before she began to tear up the wrapping of her present.

"Wait!"

She turned towards Piper. "What."

Piper seemed to at least look guilty. "Don't tear the wrapping paper. I'm going to use it again. Just cut it with scissors."

"Ok, I left mine in class, where are yours?"

"At Jason's."

"Why are they-you know what? Never mind."

She headed out without another word for Jason's room. It had only been a month since Annabeth and Jason had met, and Annabeth already had grown to like him. He gave her his key card, and Piper might've cried that day because of the buddy bonding between her boyfriend and friend.

Thankfully, their rooms were in the same building, so it only took a few minutes to get there. She slid in the card, and twisted the door handle open.

The humidity went up, and the air smelled like cookies, which was quite weird, since Jason didn't bake. The clanging of dishes rang across the room, and Annabeth hesitantly peeked over.

"Jason?"

The person was definitely a guy, but not Jason. A tall, hot dude stood in the kitchen, his black hair over his forehead like bangs. He seemed busy cutting the dough into hearts with a cookie cutter.

"Who the hell are you?"

The guy raised his head, and for a moment, just a moment, Annabeth lost her composure, and her breath hitched.

His eyes. They were mesmerizing.

Swirls of green, dark, yet bright, and it seemed like an illusion, sucking her in. The moment was over. She raised her chest again, and raised her eyebrow as if nothing happened.

Instead of trying to run away, like she expected, he stood there, and raised his not perfect looking eyebrow as well. It totally wasn't perfect.

"Who the hell are you?"

"I asked first," she stated, with as much fierceness she could produce.

He moved back, raising his hands in surrender, which brought greatest satisfaction to Annabeth.

"Well...I'm Percy. And I kinda live here."

"Jason lives here though," she muttered.

He seemed to hear. "Oh, Jason! He's my apartment buddy."

She paused. Everything seemed to click together. "Oh."

"Yeah. You're his girlfriend, Piper? Though I do recall his saying something about brown hair-"

"No, no," Annabeth spoke hastily. "I'm Annabeth. Not Jason's girlfriend."

He laughed. "Wow, you could never think of Jason as your boyfriend."

She nodded, not really knowing what to say.

"Jason's told me a few times about you. So, what brings you here?"

She rubbed her neck sheepishly. "I need some scissors. Piper and her antics."

She could almost see the gears turning his head. "Right, you guys live in the same apartment. Jason mentioned that as well."

"Right."

He gave her a huge smile, and Annabeth felt like melting. Annabeth Chase did not melt.

"You can come in, I'm making some cookies, take a taste if you want, it might take me some time to find the scissors."

"Ok…"

She kicked off her shoes, and entered the familiar apartment, but it was very messy. Clothes were hanging off the couch, some red color was splayed across a beige wall, but thankfully, they had some hygiene, and didn't leave food around.

"One moment."

She spotted some cookies on the kitchen counter, which were-bright blue?

Annabeth was not one to be surprised, but she was fascinated nonetheless. Intrigued.

She slid over with her socks, and picked up the cookie.

She inspected it, like a police officer was looking for drugs, before taking a bite.

She chewed for a moment, slightly disappointed, before she felt a literal explosion in her mouth. Flavors bursting in her mouth, chocolatey goodness down her throat, Annabeth might've not been knees weak, but she was impressed. Once she finished, brushed any crumbs off her coat, as she heard some footsteps come closer.

She looked around the room for a moment, when she discovered her new-found admiration for Percy. He seemed so chilled out, so relaxed, and didn't really care what others thought about himself. She wished she could be like that.

Percy chose the moment in her deep thoughts to come out.

"Found it! I was doing a project for class earlier, so…"

She grabbed it from him. "Thanks."

He smiled at her. "Of course."

Her cheeks went slightly red, which she knew didn't go unnoticed by Percy.

"Would you like some cookies for the go?"

The cookie she ate had already filled her up. "Nah, I'm good."

Percy put his hand underneath his chin, as if thinking.

"You seem like an interesting person, Mrs. Annabeth…"

"Chase."

"Mrs. Annabeth Chase."

They stood there looking each other in the eyes, before Annabeth tore away.

"Well, I've gotta go. Piper is not a patient person."

He let a small chuckle out, and Annabeth felt content.

"Nice meeting you."

"Same."

And with that, Annabeth left, making her think of the possibilities. Maybe in a different world, she could've had a perfect life. A boyfriend, who could've been Percy. Maybe they were married. A perfect Christmas romance. But this world wasn't that world.

Only in a different world in a different life.

"They're almost here. Chop, chop!"

Percy paused putting the bowls down. "Who still says chop, chop?"

"I do. Now hurry up!"

"Ok, ok, geez, chill. It's just dinner"

She raised her hands up in frustration. "It's just dinner! It's just dinner!"

Percy started backing out.

"Ok sorry, just a little over-excited. And nervous."

He hugged her tightly. "Why?"

She melted under his touch. "It's our first year hosting the dinner. I'm scared we'll screw up."

"Well, cheer up. You did great. And if dinner didn't turn out great, I'm sure they wouldn't even care one bit."

"Yeah, I guess."

"So, calm down, we've got everything ready, let's just wait."

"Right," she said, inhaling and exhaling.

A few minutes later, when Hazel and Frank rang the doorbell, Annabeth greeted them with confidence, and Percy was proud of her. Even the small things make a difference.

A mix of aromas filled the air, and Annabeth and Percy felt content.

Christmas. Such a wonderful time of the year.

A/N: Like I said, this is a few possibilities to what Christmas could be for Percy and Annabeth. The first was Percy and Silena, their daughter, and Annabeth is there, she's just sleeping. The second is Annabeth meeting Percy on Christmas, but thinking they wouldn't really work out. And the last one is Annabeth and Percy making dinner for friends on Christmas. So three different stories, with different plots, ages, and scenarios.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the support you guys gave me, honestly, it really meant a lot. Reviews have some type of adrenaline-producing effect on me, making me so determined to continue. Honestly, while it was great to write, I'm so glad it's over.

Love to Evelyn and PJAC0606, who were my rock in creating this. Like, I can't describe my appreciation for you guys, you guys honestly are amazing people, thank you sticking from the beginning of all my stories.

Merry Christmas! I love you guys! All of you! I think I'm going to watch Home Alone after this again. The first one is the best. Though the second is also pretty good.

If anyone wants to tell me what you got for Christmas, go ahead, if you don't want to, totally fine, I hope this wasn't an invasion of privacy, just a curious question. maybe just telling me what new books you got, if you did get any during this holiday time, would be cool.

Thank you TheWritingRaven for a prompt, for my last piece, if not, I would've been stuck at my computer. Thank you PJAC0606 for the blue eggnog prompt as well.

Cool thing, I made eggnog yesterday to try for Christmas, and it's actually delicious! It tastes incredibly fatty, I literally only drank a sip, but it does taste good. No alcohol, of course, I'm not of age, I found a different recipe without the alcohol.

Current book I'm reading: A Court of Mist and Fury

It's part of the series, A Court of Thorns and Roses, which also the name of the first book, which is a little odd. This is the second book of the series, and I just finished it like 2 hrs ago. It's a great story, it has some inappropriate scenes, but it's mostly adventure and I totally recommend it for teens.

Sorry, this note is just a big mess, not in great order.

Ok, I've gotta go, I spent like 15 min writing this note :)

Happy hoildays! stay safe!
