This one is actually a snippet from a longer chapter. But I'm on a fluff mission so, I hope you enjoy lol.

They all stood together out at the side of the school, their shoes getting wet from the cold grass. The sky was grey, and it was expected to snow the next morning.

Zane carefully pulled out the paper bag from his backpack, pulling out five black plastic spheres. He handed one to each of them.

Upon handing the last one to Lloyd, Cole piped up at his side. "What's up with the black...easter eggs?"

"Yeah, what's in them?" Kai joined in, before giving his a brief shake.

"Sounds like…." Jay shook his. "Candy." He concluded.

Lloyd took off one of his gloves, placing his hand on the top, just about to give it a turn. "Well, why don't we find out?"

"Wait! Don't open it yet." Pixal said, everyone turning to look at her.

Zane laughed. "It's a gender reveal."

A chorus of "oh's" could be heard throughout the friend group.

"What about Echo?" Cole asked.

"He's at an art club meeting. But don't worry, I have one for him to open up later at home." Zane replied, placing the bag back into his backpack and zipping it up. He stood up, and continued to explain the surprise. "I'm sure you all remember that game we made up? With the Ninja and the Samurai?"

"Oh yeah! Good times, good times!" Jay said, dreamily.

Pixal continued with the explanation. "Well, when you open it, there's a little figure inside. So, a ninja means it's a boy, and the Samurai means-"

"The baby's a girl." Nya said, finishing the explanation for her. She gave a shake. "Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say, team samurai all the way, baby!"

She punched Jay on the shoulder, before he pulled her in close, keeping an arm around her. "I vote with Nya."

"Any other final guesses?" Zane asked, chuckling.

Kai immediately spoke up, looking at Pixal, his eyes then traveling to Pixal's bump, which was barely noticeable under her heavy coat, before turning his attention back to the sphere. "I'm going to have to vote against Nya, and go with team ninja." he said, grinning.

Nya only stuck out her tongue at him.

"Hmmmmm, I agree with Kai." Lloyd said, giving a careful look before shaking the sphere again.

Cole turned the sphere in his hands. "Uh, honestly I can't guess which." he said, giving a sheepish smile.

"Alright, ready?" Pixal asked.

She gave her boyfriend one last look before they counted together.

"One….

Two…..

Three!"

There was a brief silence before all five of the spheres were opened right after each other, each with a loud pop.

"LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Kai shouted, shooting straight up in the air, startling Lloyd who was standing right next to him, almost dropping the tiny ninja from his hands.

Zane watched as they all cheered regardless, pulling Pixal close, smiling.
