Chapter 14

Wes was finally back giving Cara her lesson for being a slayer. They also looked into Drake a little more and how to kill him with no luck. Cara knew Wes was good at keeping her busy since he use to be a watcher. Spike came in the room seeing him discussing with her about slayers. "So what makes me any different than the others?" She asked him.

"You are the oldest living which makes you stronger. I've never seen a slayer live past their twenties before. You have a chance to become a mentor if you accept it," Wes explained.

"According to the books, I should have been long gone." Cara looked at him.

"Technically, yes but you're here. How you were missed is beyond myself." She sighed at that not sure what to think.

"Any ideas on why Drake is after me?" Cara asked Wes.

"Looking into it."

"He has no business with her," Spike said annoyed.

Wes looked at him noticing something different about him. He knew about vampires from studying about them. "She's yours isn't she?" Wes knew what had happened.

"Yes, I fell in love with her," Spike admitted.

"You know thats shameful in the vampire world." Wes replied.

"I know that but I don't care, who the bloody hell follows rules?" Spike looked at him.

"Be prepared to face some challenges ahead," Wes looked at him.

After a while, Cara was able to leave his office. She sat in Angel's office with Spike in the other chair. Derek followed her standing next to her. Cara had been so occupied with things lately hardly getting any sleep or ate much of anything. Once in a while, she would feel a little lightheaded. Much to her surprise, she started feeling like something was wrong. Her face started to look slightly pale with starting to sweat a little. Her brother looked down at her noticing something was wrong. Derek walked closer to her. "Hey, you ok," he said worried.

Spike and Angel stopped what they were doing seeing what was going on. She passed out and Spike caught her before she hit the ground. Angel had a way to send a doctor to his place so she wouldn't have to leave.

Spike carried her to Angel's apartment area lying her on the bed in the guest room. A doctor arrived examining her checking her vitals along with taking blood samples. "How much rest is she getting?" He questioned them.

"It varies maybe three hours sometimes five hours," Spike answered her.

"Eating habits?"

"Haven't seen her really eat a whole lot," Spike replied.

"She doesn't eat much, my sister is a cop," Derek looked at him.

The doctor had her get IV fluids in her along with her resting. He told them to remove the bag and needle as soon as it emptied. Spike knew how to remove it when it needed to be done. They would be notified later with the test results.

Spike sat beside her while she laid their next to him. He kissed the top of her head switching positions snuggling next to her. Her brother and Angel left the room with Spike staying with her. He watched her a little worried that she passed out. The last thing he needed was something to happen to her.

Everyone started to see how much she had made him happy. "Spike," she opened her eyes.

"Rest love," he looked at her.

"Don't leave me," she said holding him falling back to sleep.

"I'll be here with you." Spike was always there with her never leaving her side. He didn't mind seeing her everyday or being with her every second of the day. They got along rarely arguing which was the first for him. Him and Dru would argue over disagreements quite a bit not necessarily getting issues resolved completely.

The I.V. was done, Spike removed it along with putting a bainaid where the needle was. He laid back down next to her snuggling next to her.

Angel came into the room as Spike looked up at him. "Everything ok?"

"She's resting," He answered him. "It's nice to know what it feels like to be loved back. I've been wanting this for so long," Spike looked at Angel.

"I hate to admit that for once I envy your relationship. You have a woman that loves you and is willing to do anything for you. After all you've done to change you deserve it." Angel loved her but respected Spike for once. He had already been through relationships that had failed.

"If there is a way, I would consider marrying her. I don't want anything big but if it would make her happy," He looked at her.

"What about you?"

"I already am happy she's mine. I told her I didn't want to rush things almost forgetting she already is my mate," Spike explained.

"I'm sure there are ways, I know some people that can help you," Angel offered.

Angel's phone rang and he walked out of the room answering it. Spike looked at her watching her sleep playing with her hair. "She needs someone like you," Derek said coming in the room sitting in the chair across from them.

"I can take care of her," Spike looked at him.

"When we lost our dad she was devastated. It was like there was a gap missing with her. You seemed to fill that gap, she almost seems like her old self now that you're around. I realize now you're not like all the other vampires. You're different definitely stronger and more experienced. I don't think she could have a normal boyfriend without them fighting and her accidentally breaking their arm," Derek looked at him.

Spike kind of chuckled at that a little watching his lover sleep. Angel came back in letting them know it was nothing but pure exhaustion. Also, he was advised that she would need to eat more to keep her energy up. Cara woke up stretching seeing Spike next to her.

"You need to eat," Spike looked at her.

"Yeah, I don't do that very often." She looked at him.

"I got her," Derek said leaving to get her food.

"You passing out scares me, you need to worry about your health." Spike's tone sounded concerning to her. Cara knew he was right, she hardly worried about herself.

"I know, I get so wrapped up with what I'm doing." She replied. Her lips met his kissing him deeply holding him. He pulled back looking into her eyes. "It's not that I don't want to but you need to make sure you eat," he advised her.

"I will, just being able to hold you with nothing on. I want to please you so much, you would be wanting more," she said seductively.

Cara sat up shifting on his lap facing him while he watched her. Her legs wrapped around him while facing him. Her lips met his while she kissed him deeply once again riding him while on top. Spike couldn't fight the sexual need feeling nothing but lust. He quickly locked the door to the room getting on top. Clothes were being removed, thrown on the floor leaving them both in nothing. He slid himself in riding her moaning some. Then he changed positions setting her on top of him letting her ride him.

After a while they changed positions allowing him to take over. Not once has he taken his eyes off her while he was on top of her again riding her. His breathing was heavy along with his moans here and there. Somehow he hit a certain spot while riding her causing her to moan. He felt her wetness while inside her starting to almost make him lose control. Things started to get more intense while he leaned in kissing her and riding her deeper and harder. They both tried to keep quiet making it difficult for them as they started really getting into it. Both of them found their release with Spike still on top kissing her lips a little. He eventually got off lying next to her pulling her close

"You make it hard to say no my love," he laid next to her.

"You have this thing about you that makes me want you." She rubbed her hand along his cheek.

"What thing?"

"I can't explain what it is just something about you." Cara said not still not sure what it is.

"There has to be something pet."

"Spike, I told you I don't know how to explain it." Cara sighed at that.

"At least give me something," he begged. Cara got up getting dressed not answering him at all. Spike got up putting his pants on walking up to her.

"Just let it go," Cara said a little annoyed.

He pulled her towards him wrapping his muscular arms around her. "You're so beautiful," he said meaning what he said.

"Nice subject change," she said giving him a hard time.

"You are hopeless love," he looked at her.

"Don't give me that crap," Cara bickered with him.

"It's bloody true." He said still holding on to her.

"Aren't you just mister perfect now. Now you're just a butthead," she said getting out os his grasp.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me." She rolled her eyes at him. He knew their argument was all over little stuff that wasnt a big deal to him. Instead he came up to her leaning in kissing her lips a moment. It made her forget what they were bickering about. Cara opened the door seeing the food her brother left her at the door.

She grabbed it and started eating, her brother came in the room sitting next to her. "You two have fun?" He looked at her.

Cara hit him in the arm for even asking him. "You pervert."

They both finished up eating and Spike went to talk to Angel. They saw the empty coffee table in the front with a couple decks of cards sitting there. It was close to the end of the day already and Angel was closing up the place. Cara watched her brother trying to build something with the deck of cards. For no reason, she started helping him turning the cards into a large house. "You want my car don't you?" Cara asked him.

"Kind of, its a nice car."

"Fine, you ruin this card house you don't get the car." Cara challenged him.

An hour had past and they made a huge castle out of cards. Angel and Spike came in seeing what they did to his coffee table in front of the couch. "It was his idea," Cara looked at Derek.

Angel kinda of laughed but was impressed with how they were able to get all of those cards to do that.

"Any reason for this?" Spike asked them.

"He wants to drive my car," Cara answered him.

Derek had one card left slowly putting it on the top with nothing falling. "Fine, take the car and don't mess it up." Cara tossed him the keys.

"I won't."

"I will so kick you ass plus I have a friend who is letting me keep it in his garage," Cara looked at him.

"I know who he is," he said leaving with the keys.

For some reason things started changing around her. Cara had a feeling it was some sort of a spell taking her backwards. She blacked out a moment and awoke in front of a house. Cara stood up unsure where she was at. As she looked closer, she saw noticed it was Buffy's house in front of her seeing her walking out of the front door. Her senses were still strong sensing a vampire near by.

She kept walking coming up to a graveyard reading the signs seeing she was in Sunnydale.

"A little unusual for a woman like you do be sitting in a graveyard," she heard a familiar voice. Cara knew it was Spike before he got his soul.

"You're point?" She turned around looking at him.

He imediately took notice of her staring at her. The first thing he noticed was her looks and the second thing was her attitude towards him. "I could kill you, you know," he replied.

"Why does that sound so familiar to me? I know who you are Spike," she looked at him.

He assumed that his name was still being brought up around there at times. 'You're not afraid of me?"

"Am I suppose to be?" She was starting to get on his nerves a little. He has ran into occasional women but most of them wouldn't give him this much trouble.

He turned into his vampire form to go after her and she turned around punching across the face. He got up to fight her and she tripped him on the ground. They fought for a good three minutes he got a few hits in but she was able to block most of his hits. She side kicked him causing him to hit a tree. Cara picked up a stick with a sharp end tripping him and acted like she was giving to stake him sitting on top of him.

"You're a slayer, very hard slayer to fight then what I've fought before." Cara got off him letting him get up.

"Begger's can't be choosers pal, I was trained since I was six to fight. It's all about who your trained by," she looked at him.

He sighed at that leading her to his place in the graveyard. She found a spot to sit down at and he kept his eyes on her.

"Who the hell is she?" A blonde came up to him.

"I found her by the graveyard," he explained.

Cara recognized her to be Harmony, she figured this was the time they dated. "You're arent here to get in the way of my boo boo?" She asked her,

"No, and boo boo? What the hell is he five? Let me guess, girlfriend right?" Cara asked her. Spike chuckled at that a little.

"Yes," she answered her.

Spike took out a bottle of vodka drinking it straight up. "Vodka?"

He handed Harmony the bottle seeing if she could even take it straight up. Harmony tried nearly gagging before passing it too her. Cara took a sip handing it back to him.

"Not bad, I've had stronger." Cara handed the bottle back to him.

Harmony left for a while leaving them alone. "Interesting girl let me guess more like friends with benefits."

"At least until I could be with her." Spike replied.

"Buffy you mean? She's a little hard headed don't you think?"

"Can't blame a man for trying," he replied.

"Good luck with that," Cara shrugged.

"So where did you come from?" He questioned her.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you let's just leave it at that. Oh and I have a name it's Caraline but call me Cara for short," she replied.

Spike got real close to her looking into her eyes. It was like something in him clicked as he looked at her. Something about her easily make him completely forget about Buffy altogether. It almost felt like he knew her from somewhere but couldn't remember where.

She jumped down off the top of the coffin. "What?" She asked him while he looked at her.

"I feel like I've known you all along," Spike said not able to remember.

"Maybe, now will you move? You're in my personal space," she said annoyed.

His arm went around her waist pulling her close to him. Cara pushed him away, I can't I'm not changing things. I'm not even suppose to be here, I know things that are suppose to happen I'm not screwing them up," she explained.

"What in bloody hell are you talking about?" He asked her.

"Dru will be coming in that door in a few minutes, you love Buffy remember?" She reminded him.

He was almost confused until Dru did come through the door. Spike hid her before she noticed Cara was there. She heard their conversation off as she was in hiding. then Harmony came back and the routine played off as it should. Instead things weren't going as planned Spike had Dru leave along with Harmony. He came back getting her out of hiding.

"What the hell are you doing?" Cara asked him.

"I told Dru to go away and never return and Harmony that we were done," he replied.

"This is really going to screw things up in the future," she sighed. Cara had a feeling she wasn't leaving any time soon.
