The chapter begins with flashbacks. The flashback starts with the evacuation of the civilians, discussion of the briefing room, a visit in the convention center and Miss May's father revealed that he has cancer. The flashback shifts to the evacuation of civilians to the billboard. Miss May wakes up in the infirmary. Later at the briefing room, Ferrel and his men are enjoying lunch. They eat bento boxes.

"I see that you have a nightmare." said Ferrel.

"Maybe we should deal with the coordinates." said Miss May. "I know it's difficult to be a normal woman, but I have to find out the source."

"Ferrel, I prepared a mission to find the source for Miss May's nightmares, but you may summon no more than two Digimon at a time, per person." said Captain Ham. "So suit up and we will get you prepared."

At the control room, Miss May talks to her father on the phone. Captain Ham talks to Miss May.

"How's your father?" asked Captain Ham.

"He's doing well." replied Miss May.

"I'll go." said Sam.

"Under one condition." said Miss May.

At the desert, Ferrel and his men are looking for footprints.

"Men's footprints… Ten sets of them." said Miss May.

"Let's move before we have purgers showing up." said Ferrel.

They are then intercepted and cornered by purgers, who are lying down on the sands.

"We need no harm." said the purger.

"Who is this?" asked Shoutmon.

"They are working for Pennywise." said Alex.

At the briefing room, Captain Ham speaks to Miss May's father. He leaves. At the desert, Ferrel and his men continue the convincing.

"Should we summon Impmon and Meicoomon to do the job?" asked Ferrel.

"No." replied Sam. "Let's take them to the leader."

"They won't hurt us." said Miss May.

"If you have the Tok'ra, then they won't hurt us." said Alex.

"What's a Tok'ra?" asked Shoutmon.

Ferrel and his men give the assualt rifles to the purgers, making them safe.

"We needed the Digimon for this one." said Shoutmon.

They are teleported to the crystal area. Ferrel follows his men and the purgers to the corridor. At the hospital, Captain Ham sees Miss May's father.

"Ham?" said Miss May's father Bill.

"Bill?" said Captain Ham. "I'll give them a call."

Captain Ham talks to Miss May, but she is not answering.

"Right, Miss May is with the men at the moment, Bill." said Captain Ham.

At the crystal room, Ferrel and his men sees a seductive woman. Alex and Shoutmon see the beauty of the woman.

"You must be Tok'ra." said Shoutmon.

"I'm Tok'ra, it's a pleasure to meet you." said Tok'ra.

"We are on the desert to find the source of the nightmares." said Miss May.

At the hospital, Bill is suffering from cardiac arrest. The doctors revive him. Captain Ham asks a question.

"How much time do we have left?" asked Captain Ham.

"Not for a long time. Maybe several hours left." said the doctor.

Back at the crystal room, the conversation continues.

"Why should we trust you?" said Ferrel. "And are we prisoners and are we people who work for Pennywise?"

"No, you don't work for Pennywise." said Tok'ra.

"Ask Jack, he may know." said Miss May.

"I'll show you the way." said Tok'ra.

Ferrel and his men move to the table where the elder is lying down.

"How old is this elder?" asked Jack.

"She's 80 at the time." replied Tok'ra.

The elder is sleeping. Jack and Miss May react to the sleeping elder.

"I'll pass on the incantation, but Calumon knows why the elder is in a coma." said Miss May.

At the next area, Miss May washes her hands. Tok'ra exchanges thoughts. She leaves. The purgers block the exit to the area.

"Are we prisoners?" asked Ferrel.

One purger allows Miss May to leave the crystal area.

"I'll talk to Miss May in private." said the purger.

"Ferrel, I need to do this." said Miss May.

"I want you back by 11:00." said Ferrel.

At the exit, the purger converses with Miss May in a friendly way. They walk through the inactive billboard.

"My mother sacrificed herself to get me out of there." said Miss May. "And yes. My mother was dead."

The purger's eyes glow.

"Sorry, I do this because I was angry at the way you talk." said the purger.

"That's okay." said Miss May. "Let's move out."

Jack shows up with guards.

"We have a problem." said Jack.

"What is it?" asked Miss May.

"We'll find out." said Jack.

At the crystal corridor, Ferrel looks around to find the purger leader. They found jewelery and bracelets.

"May I help you?" asked the leader.

"I was looking at the jewelery. I like it." said Ferrel.

"The Tok'ra will summon Calumon for the time being."

"Who is Calumon?" asked Ferrel.

Meanwhile, Miss May, Sam, Alex and Shoutmon along with Pete found a waterfall. Afterwards, they go back to the table. They see several elders appearing.

"We are grateful to be here." said Shoutmon.

"Why thank you." said the elder.

Ferrel shows up.

"Sorry I'm late." said Ferrel.

The soldiers show up.

"Captain Ham sent us to extract Miss May." said the soldier.

"What?!" cried Miss May.

"He's is in a serious condition." said the soldier.

"Miss May's father is dying at the hands." said Jack.

"As evidence by the friends here." said Ferrel.

Tok'ra walks away. They are waiting for orders from Calumon.

"Do you know anything about my father?" asked Miss May.

"The only way out is the rings." said Alex.

"I need to see Tok'ra." said Miss May. "And he has cancer."

"What is cancer?" asked the purger.

"Cancer is a disease in humans." said Jack.

"I will let you two go." said Tok'ra.

Miss May and Ferrel return home.

"Captain, we need to talk." said Ferrel.

At the briefing room, Captain Ham and Ferrel are sorry about Miss May's father Bill.

"Listen, Captain Ham, I know my father will allow me to go on like this." said Miss May.

Back at the crystal area, Alex and Shoutmon are talking to Tok'ra. The purgers show up.

"Guys, we have a problem, we have several purgers killing each other." said the purger.

The purgers mobilize against the other set of purgers. At the hospital, Captain Ham and Miss May see Bill with Palmon being summoned at the time.

"I told you not to recall you." said Bill.

"You want me to tell Miss May about the pain that she inflicts?" asked Captain Ham.

"No." said Bill.

"I travel throughout the world to save these people from these mask-clad bad guys." said Miss May.

"I discovered the same technology, a technology of summoning, digivolving and digimodifying Digimon creatures." said Palmon.

"I'll do whatever it takes to cure you from cancer." said Miss May.

At the embarkation room, Bill, Ferrel and Miss May go to the billboard.

"So that's the place." said Bill.

They go inside. They arrive at the same location as before.

"Welcome to the desert." said Ferrel.

At the crystal room, the civilians are evacuating and several weapons are transported.

"What are you doing here?" said Ferrel.

"We're free." said the soldier.

"Don't you know that this is an emergency?" said Miss May.

Ferrel and his men are reuniting with Bill. The ship is on the way.

"Where are the evacuation point?" asked Ferrel.

They see an elder continuing to sleep. Ferrel and his men are continuing the evacuation of the crystal room.

"I'm not sure I can do this." said Bill.

The elder wakes up, coughing. Bill is also coughing.

"Sorry, sorry." said Bill.

"I am the solution." said the elder. "You will take place as the host."

"That's good." said Miss May.

The conversation continues. Bill and Miss May leave the area.

"We don't have to do this." said Miss May.

"Death is my cure." said Bill. "Go to the billboard, end my suffering."

The packing continues.

"How can I help you?" said Tok'ra.

"We did find the spy inside the area." said Jack.

Tok'ra and her men leave the area.

"We'll stay here." said Jack.

At the same tunnel, the mass is increasing, killing one person. At the elder room, Miss May and Bill return.

"If I am to stay here, then I will die." said the elder.

"Ask my daughter, not me." said Bill.

"I'm not the worm." said the elder.

Miss May leaves with the friendly purger. Bill stays here.

"I have decided that I like you." said the elder.

"I understand." said Bill. "Can you give me my kidney?"

"We don't have much time." said the purger.

The cleaning continues. Ferrel and his men are talking about how to get out of the crystal palace.

"It's worth exploring. Let's go." said Shoutmon.

Bill is resting with the elder.

"Goodbye kid." said Bill. "Now what?"

"Kiss me." said the elder.

The elder gives the worm to Bill. The elder then passes away.

"The worm is inside the throat." said Miss May.

"The ship is coming to the desert in an hour." said the purger leader.

Shoutmon and Alex is presented with a gift. A gift of summoning Shoutmon at a time with Alex's own DigiVice, gaining Shoutmon an ability to digivolve to OmniShoutmon.

"Looks like I'm on my own now." said Alex.

The ships are coming to the desert.

"We must go now!" cried Tok'ra.

"What about my father?" asked Miss May.

"I can't afford to leave her father behind!" cried Alex. "And yes, Shoutmon is inside my DigiVice now, thanks to this new technology."

"Jack, we're off." said Ferrel.

At the desert, Ferrel and his men except Miss May see a group of ships coming to the billboard. They return home just in time. Miss May continue to comfort her father. At the embarkation room, Ferrel and his men are keeping an eye on the billboard. The room is crumbling. Bill is recovered from cancer.

"It took you several years to battle cancer. Let's go." said Miss May. "Let's summon Palmon and get us out of here."

"No signal sir." said the technician.

The planes show up.

"Let's move!" said Miss May.

At the embarkation room, Miss May returns home with Bill.

"Welcome back." said Captain Ham. "Should we return back to the desert?"

"I must stop the mass from increasing from the tunnel." said the purger.

The technician does the coordinates.

"I have to go." said Bill.

"Here's the box." said Jack. "It has a phone number and info. I hope you will see me again."

Bill and Tok'ra return to the desert.
