"Addy?" Dean asked cautiously, having noticed her almost immediate change in attitude after bidding the Weasleys goodbye.
"I'm good, just thinking. I think we'll need to pay Andromeda a visit before we go back home. I have something I wish to discuss with her," Adeline told them, almost absentmindedly.
"Why?" Sam asked curiously.
"I have some theories I would like to run by her. If everything turns out as I want, we may have a house guest for a little while," she told them, a glint in her eyes. McGonagall didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, however, and took them through the list, getting her wand last.
"Miss Potter, I was wondering when I would be seeing you," a creepy man said comin forward, obviously trying to make her jump. She turned to McGonagall.
"That's Winchester, not Potter. Professor, is it absolutely necessary for me to have a wand? I'm pretty good at wandless magic."
"Miss Winchester," McGonagall said firmly.
"Fine, fine. Let's get started," Adeline conceded.
Olivander got wand after wand, none of them matching her. He seemed to get more and more excited with each failed wand. He finally paused and walked back to the counter. He pulled a wand in an intricate wooden box from underneath it. "I wonder..." he muttered before pulling the wand out and handing it to Adeline. As soon as she touched it, she knew it was hers. She waved it, producing gold and green sparks. "Curious... Very curious..."
"What's curious?"
"This is a very unusual wand. Wood from the tree of Knowledge, a hair from a hell hound, and a feather from the angel Balthazar." When they heard that, Castiel got a determined look on his face, clearly resolving to talk to Balthazar about giving highly lethal and magical items to humans. Sam spoke up, seeing his look.
"We should have known that he wouldn't just give out pieces of the Staff of Moses to kids in exchange for their soul. He had access to the entire armory."
Adeline snorted. "You have met him, right? He unsunk the Titanic because he didn't like one of the songs, for Chuck's sake!" she told them, the laughter clear in her voice. "So, how much for the wand?"
"Twelve galleons," Olivander told her, seemingly in shock over her lack of reaction from his revelations.
"Thank you very much, Mister Olivander! Have a good day!" she told him, handing over the gold. The group made their way out of the shop, McGonagall using the floo in the Leakey Cauldron to get back to Hogwarts, Castiel flying them back to South Dakota.
AN: I put a poll on my profile. What House should Adeline go to? I'm going to leave it up for about a month. Vote now!
