Chapter 14
(Williams Manor, Los Angeles)
Adam and the gang were relaxing, he had received a phone call from a movie studio, they want him to work on some superhero costumes. "Superhero costumes? Which movie?" He asked.
["Power Soldier: the Super Winter."] Adam was shocked, it was 'her' movie.
"Did a woman named Carol Rogers recommend me?"
["She said, if we needed anyone that would make us the best costumes. To talk to you."]
"Send me what you need me to do. I'll send you an invoice."
["Thank you Mr. Williams."] Adam hung up and looked at his tablet. Took a deep breath and screamed. The others came running in, Maria got to him first.
"Train, what's wrong?" She asked.
"I got a movie job." He said.
"WHAT?" They said.
"A 'Movie Job'?" Asked Regina.
"Yeah, I'm doing the costumes for 'Power Soldier: the Super Winter'."
"Carol!" Said Laura.
"Yep."
"Um, Who's Carol?" Asked Alya.
"She's an old friend of ours." Said Laura.
"I was recommended to do the costumes." Just then his phone rang.
(Some Bodies Gonna Get It - Three Six Mafia)
"Hello?"
["Choo Choo, Train."] Said a voice.
"Carol."
["What's up, 'Boss'?"]
"I have you to thank for the new job I hear."
["Well, you are the best."]
"Why? I mean you didn't have to do this."
["After that jerk tried to hit you and Jason? I wanted to break him in half! I saw the outfits you did for 'X-Mas Kon'. They were awesome!"]
"Thank you."
["Who was the brunette that was 'Cougar'?"] He looked at Maria.
"A close friend of mine, Maria Dupain-Cheng."
["She. Was. GORGEOUS! Laura wasn't half bad looking either."]
"Hold on, let me put you on speaker." So he does, "now say that again?"
["Yeah, she was gorgeous as 'Cougar'!"] Maria had heard her words.
"Um, thank you." Maria said.
["You're welcome."]
"So, you going to be in the movie?"
["I'm playing the lead."]
"Stevie Kent?"
["Yep."]
"Hey," said Maria. "Can we meet you?" It was quiet, Carol was thinking about it.
["You really want to meet me?"]
"Sure."
"She's sincere," said Adam.
["Alright, I'll do it. But, I'll have to warn you. I'm a 'snack'."]
"We'll have to wait and see." Said Adam, with that they said their goodbyes and he hung up.
The next morning, the studio had sent what they needed and Adam went to work. He was doing all of the heroes' costumes. "Wow. Okay, I'm going to need some help." He said.
"Just tell us what we need to do." Said Ayla, so everyone started to work on outfits. Adam was working on Power Soldier's outfit. Just then there was a knock on the door.
Adam went to get the door and his ring finger started to burn. 'What?" He thought, he opened it and it was a young, beautiful woman, with shoulder-length blonde hair, and blue-hazel eyes. She was dressed in a T-shirt, jeans and boots. She was breathing hard, and almost fainted. 'Oh, you got to be kidding me.' "Carol?" He said, she looked at him and kissed him. Then wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Hey 'Boss'," she said. She hugged him again.
"Okay, Let me see your ring." She showed him and it was the Taurus ring. "Taurus; time travel, super strength, and you're basically a tank."
"Looks like they chose the right person to play her then." She said.
"Heh, come on in. MOM! GIRLS! WE GOT ANOTHER ONE!" Regina and the girls came down.
"Carol," said Regina. "Well, didn't expect this." Maria and the girls just stared at her.
"Wow," said Alya. "She was right, she is a 'snack'."
"Snack?" Said Alix, "She's. A. Meal!" Carol just blushed.
"Um, thanks." She said.
"Let me introduce you guys." Said Adam, so he does and they became fast friends. He breathed a sigh of relief.

Adam picked up his phone, "sup Uce?"
["Nothing much, coming over to work on the comic."]
Said Jason.
"Okay, Carol's here too."
["What?"]
"Yep and she's 'Taurus'."
["She's a Zodiac bride?"]
"Yep."
["Auntie know?"]
"She's here with us."
["On the way."] So they hung up, but before anyone could say anything; a portal had opened up and three girls came out dressed in leather armor. Gina was in a catsuit that looks like a wetsuit. Ronnie was in a bodice/ strip skirt combo, boots, gauntlets, and a blindfold. Lastly, Betty was in hunter's gear, with a compound bow and a quiver on her back.
They saw him and went to hug him and give him a kiss. "Hey Babe," said Betty.
"Hey, ladies." He said Maria and the others went to hug them.
"So, who's the newbie?" Said Gina.
"I'm Carol Rogers." She said and held out her hand. "Nice to meet you." They shook hands.
"You know you'll have to meet up with the fam, right?" Said Adam.
"Of course, it'll be a pleasure to see Lady Aldea and Great Lady Kimiko." She said, Aldea is Adam's Grandmother and Kimiko is his Great Grandmother.
"We need to warn you," said Maria. "You are going to face your worst nightmare."
"Adam dying? Yeah, I've been there, almost saw the life leave his eyes." The girls looked at her, even Regina.
"What happened?" She asked.
She looked at him, he nodded. "He almost OD'ed on sleeping pills."
"She saved my life," he said. "By telling me she was going to follow."
"Life's not worth living without you Adam." She said, Carol hugged him tightly.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Said Regina, "I could've helped you." She reached for her son, her eldest, and hugged him tightly while shedding tears on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry," he said. Regina let her love for him flow into him allowing it to heal him.

Note: When I wrote this chapter, I was thinking about my own father and how I never got the chance to say everything I wanted to say to him. And of course, like everyone else, I felt like I needed closure was broken-hearted when I couldn't get it.
I figured that Adam would have believed that it was his fault his father died and had to deal with the pain, wanting to end it all. But, he had someone for him and saved his life.
