Out on the front lines

Chapter 11th

Loreile with help from NCIS and others to help her move back to her sister's house. This time it wasn't going to be as bad with Madeline and other DOD agents to be protecting her and Shane.

However she had spoken with Dr. Grace to go along with the plan. Though it might last a month or more. She had mention that Leroy Jethro Gibbs mental state was going to be an issue. His depression had already set in with him and Doctor Cyril Taft was going to see if he can send him home with a medical personnel to keep an eye out on him until he's able to be on his own.

He was going to worry about his stomach and eating habits, his groin on whether the Cell regeneration had been working. Thought he blow flow was slow as with the circulation. This was going to hurt at times with his bladder feeling like he's always full.

He needed to discuss this with Doctor Gilbert as with Silverton on whether this was a wise move and they had turned the idea down for a number of reasons.

So he was going to stay in the hospital with his physical therapy to begin with getting him out of bed a little at a time with using a walker and a cane.

Physical Therapist Andrea Thompson in her early thirties was a no nonsense P.T. and she was going to work Gibbs hard with his exercises. There was another aid with her in order to catch Gibbs on whether he will fall or not. "Alright Special Agent Gibbs lets do this. I need for you to tell me on whether there is a lot of pain or any type of dizziness."

"Okay." He was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed taking in a deep breath to begin... Taking four steps before stopping. He will take another deep breath with walking further with the P.T. happy with the results.

"Would you like to try again Agent Gibbs?" She had to asked him with having to be slightly out of breath.

"I think it's a good idea to head back to the bed to drink some water before starting again." Gibbs said with his mind on other things...

Meanwhile Loreile was sitting down in the basement on her laptop writing to Dr. Grace and Director Leon Vance. She was feeling so out of place with being here again. Her sister Elizabeth was out visiting her doctor to check on the growth of the baby. While David had come downstairs to check on her...

"Are you alright today?" David asked with being on vacation now from his job at the Pentagon.

"I am fine David. I understand Shane is upstairs with Madeline out back in the yard?" She was feeling off angle at times with her husband working hard to get out of the hospital.

"Yes, they are Loreile and enjoying themselves. Do you need anything before heading back upstairs?" He needed to asked with his gruff demeanor.

"Nope! Nothing at all David. Thanks for the offer..." She replied... She had turned on the tv with the remote in order to watch the local and international news. While Shane and Madeline were in the other rooms relaxing for the evening.

Madeline had already called her own husband Daniel of 25 plus years of marriage that was very opened. She was going to be leaving in a few days to go on vacation to Florida for four days. While another agent from the DOD will be taking over the protection detail.

While the news was on for the local area of Washington, D.C. The reporter was talking about a terrorist group that was wreaking havoc overseas. The reporter didn't go into detail on which group or where this was happening. She will need to call Director Vance in the morning about it.

But for now she was trying to stay stress free for the most part.

Meanwhile in the Bethesda hospital. Special Agent Gibbs was having another one of the latest P.T. exercises by another therapist for the another shift. He was having a hard time with the exercises laying in bed with his groin hurting. The medication was wearing off for the most part.

Otherwise he was pushing it to the limits. Until the therapist Patricia in her late forties asked him to stop with a little bit of a rest before starting with the arms.

Taking a deep breath with needing to drink some water. Special Agent Gibbs was angry at himself for letting this get too far with the situation.

"Are you ready again Special Agent Gibbs? We are going to use the bars in order to straighten your arms." She stated with placing the small bars into his hands while sitting up in bed. This was going to last a few moments before getting out of bed to walk with the walker.

In silence the P.T. Patricia was making sure that he wasn't over doing it with his muscles still weak as hell from what happened in Paraguay with being tortured and his wrists and ankles tied.

After a few moments..."Alright Gibbs please stop.. We are going to get you out of bed with moving the walker to the edge of bed. Please do take your time with moving."

"I understand. But this is not going to be easy with each and every time." Gibbs will have to say with his voice.

Loreile had received a replied from Director Leon Vance as she began to read the response...

Dear Loreile

I am finally getting a chance to get back to your response with your questions. Since getting back from Paraguay. NCIS has been extremely busy with the assistant director heading back to California.

In regard to your questions about Hernandez. Intel has advised us that he and his regime is in Maine currently setting up his new pipeline before heading out of the states. We don't know on whether he will make an attempt with going after Gibbs or yourself and Shane.

However I have the additional funds from the DOD and SECNAV to protect and serve Gibbs and your family Loreile. This has been taking effect as of this morning before your email.

Please be sure that we will do everything we can with the protection. However with Gibbs and his health will be taking some time to recover. I know this plan Operation Rumble is going to be hard unlike the last time.

I am behind it and I am willing to help for the both of you. Leroy Jethro Gibbs and yourself need to be happy finally.

That's it for now Loreile. I will be sure to update you soon on his whereabout on Hernandez.

Sincerely,

Leon
