Upon his perch in Herba Mountain on Lynel Peak, in the weeks after learning of Ganon's defeat and that the people of Hyrule were rebuilding, King Vishous, while outraged that the Great Dark King of all Monsters had been defeated by the Hero and Princess of Hyrule, didn't care that much.
He acted as though it was minor and continued his reign as Golden King of Lynels and the most feared, with the Demonic Crown on his head and many servants at his beck and call.
A month after Ganon's defeat, Vishous learned of Hyrulean forces rebuilding a small settlement at the base of his mountain and ordered his two lackeys, Savvajj and Murdurous to go disrupt the work only for the two Lynels to come back, battered and bruised.
Enraged, Vishious had yelled at them and exiled Savvajj away from the mountain. When Blood Moon night came not long after, Vishious had visions of a great warlord more powerful than Ganon.
Not only did the vision come from the Blood Moon, but the Blood Moon's power suddenly ressurected Vishious' past lackeys, much to his absolute shock.
After he struck down his previous three lackeys, Vishious never expected them to come back, especially after those two were executed brutally.
The Lynel King had enjoyed hearing the wails and screams of protest that, both Jack, Stoe and Gorg had been nothing but buffoons.
Caring less about his lackeys' ressurection and their stupidity even more, Vishious was only concerned about keeping his position as Lynel King, ocassionally causing problems for a Hyrule free from Ganon and staying alive long enough.
No adventurer had ever bested him in single combat, ever. One day, Vishious hoped to challenge and defeat the foolish one known as Link, make him pay for defeating the Great King Ganon which led to disaray among the Lynels.
Yes, Vishious thought, If Ganon was still among us, we would not be divided and I would not be having useless fools.
When Super Blood Moon night came and went in the last 12 hours, the Lynel King received a telepathic message that a Dark Messenger and Recruiter would be coming to Lynel Hill and speaking with them, offering servitude in the Army of the Dark King.
Just where is the Dark Messenger? Vishious thought, I just wish he'd "HURRY UP!" He finished loudly, slamming his throne, temper wearing a bit thin. The only thing the Lynel King could wish for, as he breathed slowly to calm himself, was that he wasn't tricked.
"Boss, are you ok, whats the problem?"
Vishious growled furiously, his lackey Savvajj usually didn't break from his cleaning duties to speak with his master unless spoken to. "What do you want, Savvajj?" The Lynel King growled. Savvajj cowered but was brave to speak, "Well, I wanna ask, are you feeling ok? You don't look so happy."
"Why am I not so happy?" Vishious smirked before shouting, "WHY ARE YOU NOT DOING CLEAN UP DUTY AND WHAT DO YOU WANT, SAVVAJJ?"
"Number one, I'm taking my lunch break." Savvajj replied, holding back his great fear for his master and for his own continued existance, just as he grabbed a meat stick and started devouring it all.
"Number two, I heard you snap and I was just concerned that you're about to lose your marbles. By lose your marbles, I mean you're close to a breaking point. So, what is the problem you have, sire?"
Vishious calmed himself so he wouldn't yell at his lackey and lose his voice, "The problem is it seems somebody's not coming."
Savvajj raised an eyebrow, "Who's not coming? Fellow Lynels?" That would make a lot of sense given the fact that Lynels from other reigions of Hyrule usually visited the Great Lynel King himself and it took a while for them to show up.
"More than that, fool!" Vishious bellowed, "A Dark Messenger, the Blood Moon told me we will be not just visited but recruited into a growing army lead by somebody more stronger than the Great Ganon ever was. Have you even known anything at all? Or are you another useless idiot just like my previous lackeys?"
Savvajj gulped, "I-I-I've noticed the Blood Moon rising on those nights, sir. I've always noticed, p-p-please g-g-go easy on m-m-me!"
"What have you experienced on Blood Moon Night?"
"Strange visions, hallucinations, fear."
"What kind of visions?"
"Th-th-the first time I experienced B-B-Blood Moon N-n-Night, I had a v-v-vision of L-L-Link and Z-Z-Zelda d-d-defeating our Grand Ruler G-G-Ganon."
"WHAT ELSE DID YOU SEE, YOU STAMMERING BUFFOON?"
"I saw… I saw…" Savvajj hesitated, struggling to remember, then it came to the surface, the memory of one of his many visions.
He could remember it, seeing the huge muscle-bound man with a skirt, red eyes and fiery hair, weilding a sword, a white-gray humanoid man at his side with white lips like a female. "A Great Demon Overlord with a huge sword." Savvajj blurted out, "Accompanied by a strange man in a cloak with a small black sword."
"What else did you see?"
"D-D-Destruction, fires burning, blood and disfigured remains. Y-ye-yes, I saw it all."
"What of Link?"
"He…he was fighting you."
"And…?" Vishious was curious.
"That's all I saw." Savvajj whimpered, fearing his master's wrath.
"That's all the vision had to show?"
Savvajj braced himself, "Yes, then the Blood Moon's power faded. That was about it, yeah."
Vishious was about to, very calmly, comment on Savvajj's tale when a loud fingersnap cracked through the air and a white haired man in a cloak appeared out of nowhere, just next to Vishious' throne.
"Ah!" The Lynel King exclaimed, speaking in ancient English akin to the Great Deku Tree, "The Dark Messenger is come, what took thou so longeth?" Ghirahim chuckled, "Oh pardon me, great Lynel King Vishious. Apologies for the delay in my arriving, I had to get something to eat and temporarily quench my thirst, specifically, for victims."
"Do you drink water? You can't just drink the blood of your victims. I also ponder if you drink cow milk." Savvajj asked.
"Sav-VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAJJ!" Vishious shouted, shaking his fist.
Ghirahim raised his hand for calm and silence, "Easy, sire. Yes, Savvajj, we daemon people do drink and eat normally. So, yes, I was human-style snacking and having lunch. Now, I am here on behalf of my master to recruit the Herba Lynels into Demise's Army in hopes they will be of help in conquering Hyrule."
Vishious rose from his throne and shook Ghirahim's hand as lighting flashed across the sky, "We accept."
