Sarah Jane opened the door, urging everyone through. "Faster!"
Only Clyde was left.
The Doctor flew through instead. He stopped and spun around in the air to face her. "Come along, Smith," he said before flying ahead.
Jo gasped in shock when he flew over her head as she ran down the corridor. "Is that . . . ? What?!"
"Yes, I can fly now. Surprise!"
"What?!"
The Doctor stopped by Sarah Jane, Jo, and the kids' dorm. "In, in, in," he urged.
Everyone ran inside as Karim appeared.
"I'm sorry, is there a problem?" she asked.
The Doctor flew in after them and closed the door, avoiding the UNIT officer, but opened it again. "Sorry, I was . . . slamming it." He slammed the door in her face.
"You can fly?" Jo asked again.
"Yes. Right. Now we need to lock it. Come on, use the sonic lipstick."
"How?" Jo pressed, stunned.
"It's very complicated and sciency. No it's not, it's very easy."
"Haven't you got the sonic screwdriver?" Sarah Jane asked.
"They took it. I can teach you if you have a couple of months," the Doctor said to Jo.
Sarah Jane locked the door with the sonic lipstick.
"So- so they do sonic lipstick now," Jo said, getting over her shock.
"It really is you, isn't it?" Jo said.
"Hello," the Doctor said.
"Can you really fly?" Jo asked.
The Doctor hopped and floated into the air with a wave of his arms. He floated for a moment, watching Jo marvel, before setting his feet and pushing off straight ahead. He flew in a wide circle around Sarah Jane and the device, flapping his arms. He slowed and landed in front of Jo, the Doctor grinning and Jo staring in delight.
"If you're finished showing off, we've got that lot back at home with the Shansheeth," Sarah Jane said.
