THUD!

Scrooge landed on the hard ground, which, to his surprise, was his bedroom floor.

He looked around and saw that...

"I'm back home."

He, then, checked himself, saying. "I'm still alive! But more importantly, I'm a changed man...thanks to you, Spirits. I will keep my promise and live in the Past, Present and Future. The Spirits of All Three will strive within me. I say this on my knees, Jacob Marley. On my honest-to-goodness knees."

Suddenly, the bells started to ring outside.

Scrooge hurried to his window, which he pushed open and took a sniff.

"Ah, the sweet crisp of morning." he said to himself. "But...which morning?"

Looking down below, he saw a boy making a snowman outside his house across the street.

"You down there!" Scrooge called out. "What day is it?"

"What's that?" asked the boy.

"What day is today, my young fellow?" Scrooge called again.

"Well, it's Christmas Day in the morning, sir." replied the boy. "Everyone knows that."

Scrooge's ears perked up when he heard that.

"Christmas? Why, if that's today, and the Spirits did it all in one night, then...I haven't miss it!"

"Oh, come on, who would miss Christmas?" asked the boy.

Scrooge danced joyfully, exclaiming. "Oh, ho, I'm as happy as an angel, giddy as a drunken man, merry as a schoolboy, and light as a feath...WAAAAAAAHHHHHH...Oh!"

Scrooge had fallen out of his window and into the arms...of one of the same men, who were in his counting house yesterday.

"Ah, gentlemen!" he exclaimed happily. "Top of the morning to the both of ya, and a Merry Christmas it is, indeed."

"Mr. Scroo..." began the first gentleman, before Scrooge put a finger on his mouth, saying. "Before you dot another 'i,' I've got something for you. Wait here. I'll be right back."

Scrooge rushed back inside his house, then hurried back out, fully dressed in his coat, from which he pulled something out.

"Here we are. Put me down for this much." he said, placing a small money bag onto the hand of the first gentleman, who looked inside.

"Twenty gold sovereigns? Oh, no."

"Oh, not enough? Very well, then." said Scrooge, who pulled out another money bag, which he gave to the second gentleman. "Put me down for fifty gold sovereigns."

"Really, Mr. Scrooge." began the second gentleman. "It's..."

"Still not enough!" finished Scrooge, chuckling heartily. "You boys drive a hard bargain. Here you are."

He pulled out every money bag from his coat and toss them one by one to the men.

"One hundred gold sovereigns and not a penny less."

Scrooge tipped his hat and merrily went on his way as the first gentlemen called out. "Oh, thank you, Mr. Scrooge. Thank you and a Merry Christmas to you!"

Sherman: Told you we'd be back.

Mr. Peabody: And so has Scrooge's happiness as he went through town with a smile on his face, a skip in his step, and a song in his heart*.

Scrooge: Bringing joy to the world is the thing to do
'Specially since it's not all about you
Don't be a jerk

Townspeople: Don't be a jerk
Scrooge: It's Christmas

Be nice to everybody, be they young and old
Show them you're as good as gold
It's the time to deck the halls with holly
'Tis the season to be downright jolly

Christmas Carolers: Downright jolly

Scrooge: Cherish ev'ry moment like it's a friend
Make it last until the very end
Don't be a jerk

Townspeople: Don't be a jerk
Scrooge: It's Christmas

Ed & Jerry: It's Christmas

Scrooge (and Townspeople): Don't be a jerk (Don't be a jerk)
It's Christmas
Don't be a jerk (Don't be a jerk)
It's Christmas (It's Christmas)

"I taught him that." said the Ghost of Christmas Present as he, along with the Ghosts of Marely, Christmas Past & Future, and the audience watched Scrooge lead a parade of townspeople through song.

Marley smirked. "Hmm, cute."

"Very cute." added the Ghost of Christmas Past.

"But one happy song isn't enough to prove that Eb's changed completely." said Marley. "To the Cratchit house!"

Author's Note:

*I actually came up with the lyrics for this special reprise of "Don't Be a Jerk (It's Christmas)."
