This is Part II of the New Years Special. Last time, Dragnarok and company, after concluding their adventure in Beach City and despite losing the Crystal Heart and Rose Quartz's Sword to Eternal and his team, with their new ally Android Infinity. Thankfully they avoided getting their tails kicked due to an alliance sent by a familiar ally. So what's going to happen next? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes in the Dark World, where Eternal is berating Android Infinity as Reverse Flash, Mr. Negative, and Kilgrave add the artifacts of Steven Universe's world to the void atop the altar)

Eternal: THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! YOU WERE SO FOCUSED ON YOUR GAME THAT YOU COULDN'T EVEN ACCOMPLISH THE MISSION!

Android Infinity: I'd have had the dragon if you hadn't intervened!

Eternal: More like he'd have had your head!

Android Infinity: Not my fault your people couldn't capture him.

Eternal: We needed him last! If he been captured too early, he would've been able to stop us! You know what? I am sick of explaining everything to you. You will not be on the siege with us. You're on security duty!

Android Infinity: An AI of my skills, reduced to a security guard?! Not on your life!

(Now incredibly pissed off, Eternal straight up lifts Android Infinity off the ground and throws him about halfway across the room just as Sorceress, Malphas, and Scourge enter, leading Jinmen, the Arsonist, Bane, Ebon, Hunter Zolomon, and Brother Eye)

Sorceress: Is the new recruit proving troublesome?

Eternal: And at just the wrong time. His arrogance almost cost us the Heart and the Sword. He's lucky this didn't happen earlier in the operation, else I'd have killed him already. But thankfully, only a few objects remain. Chief among them, the Equation.

Malphas: Is the time at hand?

Eternal: Indeed it is. Once Infinity here recovers enough to guard this place, we depart for Apokolips.

(As the forces of evil prepare their plans, we transition to the Watchtower, where the entire place is abuzz with activity. Undoubtedly Dragnarok has informed everyone of what Eternal is planning, but right now he's at the main console with Green Arrow, Rorschach, Dix Xenos, Neidr, Bel Majin, Goku, and the rest of the heroes who saved their tails last time, looking over a diagram of what appears to be Android Infinity)

Dragnarok: So who exactly is this guy?

Bel Majin: He calls himself Android Infinity. A secret creation of Dr. Gero. He's really an Artificial Intelligence built from the other Androids, and has a full database of Ki users and their fighting styles. Before I started working with my current employer, I was tracking him down across the universe. Never would have guessed he'd end up here.

Beerus: We had managed to corner him near Cell's old arena before he vanished in a cloud of purple smoke. Next thing I know that blue guy over there is trying to recruit us to stop the very person who pulled Infinity out of our world.

Doctor Manhattan: Something I was only aware of because a friend of mine, Bel's "employer", informed me of.

Rorschach: The same unknown friend who told you to send me here?

Doctor Manhattan: The very same.

Dragnarok: So why did Null just send you now?

Doctor Manhattan: To supplement your forces. You're going to need it for what's coming.

Dragnarok: I realized that the minute I realized Eternal was trying to resurrect Darkblood. There's more on the way, coming from across space and time.

Green Arrow: So you called Sara?

Dragnarok: The Legends of Tomorrow are the group I called, yes. White Canary informed me they were picking up some others along the way. That's why they're not here yet.

Dix Xenos: Hold on, one thing that's been bothering me. If the boss is sending more people to this battle, why didn't he send Ben?

Rook Blonko: Ben was sent to Galvan Prime by Magister Tennyson to investigate the disappearance of the Codon Stream, as well as assemble a backup of the Omnitrix data to use in it's place in the event it cannot be recovered.

Dragnarok: Chances are Eternal's responsible for that too.

Goku: Say, you think this Eternal person's responsible for the Dragon Balls vanishing?

Piccolo: It's distinctly possible, if not likely.

William Carter: Then he's probably responsible for the raid on XCOM HQ.

Neidr: What'd they get?

William Carter: I have no idea exactly. I was on my way to the site when the good Doctor contracted me into this fray.

Heather Mason: And if the Doc's to be believed, he's taken some things from Silent Hill as well. Those artifacts cannot see the outside of that town. It'd tear the world apart.

Doctor Manhattan: Exactly why you're here, Ms. Mason.

Dragnarok: This makes 13 total worlds that Eternal and his forces are involved in, and only makes his end goal all the more dangerous. Add to that the hostage situation we still have to contend with.

(And just as Dragnarok mentions hostages, lightning strikes the stage, as Raiden appears)

Dragnarok: (Seeing Raiden is here) Just the demi-god I was looking for. I assume you've taken Kotal's statement.

Raiden: I can confirm he is telling the truth. In searching my world again, I have spotted Jade and the rest of the hostages being held by D'Vorah, near the Lost Hive of the Kytinn.

Dragnarok: Think you can handle rescuing them?

Raiden: I have assembled a team of my most trusted allies to undertake this mission.

Dragnarok: Good. Once you've got the hostages, get everyone back here. If this story's to be believed, we're going to need a lot more help.

(Just as the meeting appears to be winding down, Talia al Ghul and Batman emerge)

Dragnarok: Bruce, Talia, what's the issue?

Talia al Ghul: We have managed to capture another of these Misfits.

Batman: Julian Gregory Day, alias Calendar Man.

Talia al Ghul: But there was something... strange about him.

Dragnarok: Strange how?

Batman: You've got to see it to believe it.

(With that, we transition to the Watchtower's lockup, where we see through a monitor in the security room that Calendar Man has apparently gone mad, scrawling "Y=N" all over the walls of his cell, and the remaining captured Misfits aren't much better, but their scrawls are all different)

Dragnarok: I knew Calendar Man was obsessed with dates, but this is a new one on me.

Batman: And the rest aren't much better. Each has become seemingly obsessed with one specific word, or variants on it. Mockery, Fear, Judgement, Shame, and Failure respectively.

Dragnarok: Am I the only one who thinks those, in addition to Calendar Man here, sound very familiar when put together.

Batman: I thought the same thing. So I sent a message ahead to an ally of the Leagues. Something about this seems suspicious.

Dragnarok: Let me know when he gets here. (Yawns) I'm in desperate need of some sleep.

(Transition a few minutes ahead where Dragnarok is asleep in his chambers, and before long we see him startled awake to see him standing in a void of stars with a familiar winged humanoid)

Dragnarok: (Seeing the figure) I had a bad feeling you were going to show up.

Null Omni: As much as I love pleasantries like this, we have urgent business to attend to, Dragnarok.

Dragnarok: Believe me, I know. Eternal's trying to bring back Darkblood. We're working on tracking every artifact they could use down to secure it.

Null Omni: You may be already too late. He's already got most of what he needs. There's only really one thing left. And you've got part of it right now. You've got to gather the remaining fragments. The team I sent you should be able to help.

Dragnarok: Wait, what?! What are they even looking for?!

Null Omni: You've started piecing it together already. You just need the mind to see it. And he should be on his way in the next chapter or so. Now go!

(And before Dragnarok can object or ask another question, we return to reality where Dragnarok has just fallen onto the floor, waking him up as the door opens revealing Superman and Iron Man)

Superman: Dragnarok? You okay?

Dragnarok: (Still a bit groggily) Awakened a little rudely, but I'm fine. What's up?

Iron Man: Vision's ready to track the Mind Stone.

Dragnarok: (Getting off the floor) I'm on my way.

(And as the three head off, our tale ends for today)

This concludes Part II of the New Years Special. For Part III, head over to Prophecy of Masks. So it looks like things are starting to get crazy. And you know they are when Null Omni shows up. Anyways, next time, we finally learn some answers. I can confirm that much. So be sure to tune in for that! Same time... same channel!
