Naruto and Sakura embraced each other after saying that they love each other, and it felt for a while as if nothing was wrong in the world.

They finally broke off the hug when Hiruzen approached.

"Hey, Hiruzen!", Naruto greeted.

Sakura bowed and asked, "What can we do for you, Lord Hokage?"

Hiruzen replied, "Since you have already finished the second part of the exam, you will stay here for the next 5 days. Once the period is over, I will relay the details of the next part of the exam, and you will be on your way before taking it. Now, follow me, and I'll show you your accommodations."

The kids held hands and followed Hiruzen to a room with a bunch of bunk beds in it.

"This is the bedroom.", he explained, "When you want to sleep, this is the ideal place to do it."

He showed them two doors labeled "SHOWERS" - one with a symbol for boys, and the other with a symbol for girls.

Hiruzen then showed Naruto and Sakura two doors labeled "LATRINE" - one for boys, one for girls. "There are approximately twenty spaces for your business in each!"

Hiruzen then led the genin to a massive, temple-like room filled with training posts, weapons, etc. "This is the dojo."

The room adjacent to the dojo was a massive swimming pool.

Affer that, Hiruzen led them to another massive, temple-like room with a very long table inside. "Dining room. Breakfast is from 7 A.M. to 9 A.M., lunch is 12 P.M. to 2 P.M., and dinner is 6 P.M. to 10 P.M."

Hiruzen led the them to a hallway, laden with vending machines. "Extra clothes."

Then, Hrizuen led them to another hallway laden with vending machines. "Snacks."

Hiruzen then led them to another room, resembling a hospital room, and said, "Sasuke is in here. You can check up on him whenever you need."

Sakura and Naruto quickly spotted Sasuke and ran to his bedside. "Are you okay?", they asked.

Sasuke looked at them. "More or less... Apparently, that Orochimaru guy put some sort of seal on me... But Kakashi-sensei just put on another seal to keep it at bay... He explained the meaning of the scrolls to me too. I'll also be out of here by tomorrow afternoon."

"That's good.", Naruto responded. Then, he whispered, "I'll sneak in some good food from the vending machines, okay?"

Sakura playfully smacked the back of his head. "You'll do no such thing!", she scolded. "Sasuke might not be healthy enough for that stuff yet!"

"Okayyyy", Naruto relented.

Just then, Hiruzen came into the room and discreetly handed Sasuke a chocolate bar. "I snuck this in for you, boy." he whispered.

Team 7 looked at each other and deadpanned.

Hiruzen then showed Naruto and Sakura a humongous gymnasium with a baseball field, volleyball court, and a 400-meter track in it.

After that, Hiruzen led Naruto and Sakura to another massive gymnasium-like room, filled with T.V.s and complementary devices. "Entertainment! That concludes the tour!"

Naruto and Sakura opted to spar for a few minutes before showering and making their way to the entertainment room.

"Hey, there's a new episode!", Naruto said, referring to the anime that Team 7 watches together.

"Right, but do you think Sasuke would mind?", Sakura asked.

"You're right... Let's just play 'Ultimate Ninja' instead!"

A few hours later, Naruto and Sakura decided they'd have dinner - no other team had come to the tower yet!

They had steamed rice with peas and chicken, although Naruto was helping himself to more of it.

A lot more.

As they held hands and walked back to the entertainment room, Sakura teased him, "Better than ramen, wasn't it?"

Naruto feigned a look of betrayal and clutched his chest. "How could you?", he mock-asked.

Sakura laughed at this, and Naruto soon joined in.

They watched an old comedy film before tiring out and going to brush their teeth and go to bed.

When they entered the bedroom, they had their sleeping clothes on. Sakura's was a pink nightgown and a green headband, while Naruto wore orange pajamas and a black white sleeping cap. Naruto asked, "Which bed do you wanna take?"

Sakura scanned the room and found the perfect spot - near an exit, next to a nightstand, next to a bunch of outlets, and letting just enough outside light in.

Each bed had a blank banner attached to the foot that stretched from one pole to the other, so Sakura got a marker and wrote "NARUTO UZUMAKI/SAKURA HARUNO" on it in big letters.

Since it was just the two of them, Naruto and Sakura figured it wouldn't hurt if they shared a bunk for the night.

They laid in bed and looked at each other. Sakura peeled off Naruto's band-aid and tossed it into the garbage, allowing her to feel Naruto's whisker marks (which had the same texture as his cheeks), and Naruto gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

They drifted off to sleep.

6:30 A.M., Day Two

Sakura woke up before Naruto, but decided to stay in the bed for a while and admire the peaceful look on his face. She knew that he carried a huge burden, so it warmed her heart to know that his sleep was carefree.

After a few minutes, she nudged Naruto awake, and a scowl came over his face.

"My head hurts...", he said. He held his head for a few seconds, but suddenly felt fine a few seconds later and let out a relieved sigh.

"What happened?", Sakura asked.

"My shadow clones - all of them just dispelled somehow...", he answered.

"Well, come on then, sleepy-head, let's get our day started!", Sakura beckoned.

They got out of bed and performed their respective morning ablutions, then walked each other to the dining room.

Breakfast was pancakes, fish, eggs, and broccoli, all of which Sakura wanted to make absolutely sure that Naruto ate - a growing boy needs his nutrition!

To her surprise, he ate it all! And he kept eating, without needing Sakura to egg him on to eat healthier!

"He really took my advice about broadening his dietary horizons to heart, huh?", Sakura thought.

"YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!", Naruto thought.

Naruto and Sakura fjnsjehd their meals, then walked to the entertainment room to watch an episode of a hidden-camera comedy show called 'Impractical Pranksters' (A/N I hope y'all know what I'm alluding to) before visiting Sasuke in the infirmary.

"How're you doing, Sasuke?", Naruto asked.

Sasuke replied, "I'm ok... I guess. Just bored. They're gonna let me out with enough time to shower before lunchtime, though."

Naruto shook Sasuke's hand and said, "Alright, we'll see you then, y'know!", and left. "Bye, Sasuke!", Sakura called.

Naruto and Sakura sparred together for about 3 hours before hitting the showers. After they got out and put on their casual clothes, they walked to the front of the tower to see if anyone else was coming.

In came Team 10, and they all greeted each other.

Sakura told Ino, "We so gotta talk at lunchtime today!"

Naruto told Choji and Shikamaru, "This place is like a massive hotel! You gotta see it all!"

Hiruzen then appeared and put his hand on Naruto's shoulder. "I'll show them around, Naruto. But, first things first, open the scrolls, and the tour will commence!"

An hour later

Teams 7 and 10 sat at the dining table to have lunch together, and to say that they were satisfied would be an understatement.

Lunch was every picky eater's greatest dream!

There were mounds of French fries and chicken nuggets for everyone! Couple that with the soda that Naruto snagged from a vending machine, and both teams were sure to enjoy every part of this meal.

Even Ino decided that she could take a break from her diet!

After eating lunch, both teams spent the rest of the day just relaxing - surely, they'd earned that much.

Naruto and Sakura decided to sleep on opposite bunks from then on, and switch bunks every night.

3:00 P.M., Day 3

Team 9 had arrived in the tower, and their reactions varied.

Neji, as usual, was indifferent.

Tenten decided to join in on gossip with Ino and Sakura.

Lee yelled about Team 7's flames of youth after finding out about their journey to the tower.

An hour later, Team 8 arrived.

Hinata and Shino had to restrain Kiba from attacking Naruto, who was confused as to what happened.

"I had like, 50 clones, y'know.", he explained. "I can't be bothered to find out exactly what's got your panties in a bunch, Dog-breath."

Kiba calmed down, took a deep breath, and said, "The first day. It was nighttime, and we were this close to getting our hands on a heaven scroll, but then your clones dispelled! We had to spend the next day and a half chasing that team to get their scroll, while also finding a way to make up for the scroll you took!"

Naruto shrugged. "Shit happens, no use crying about it."

Hinata and Shino had to restrain Kiba again.

Although, Naruto was able to seemingly appease Kiba by having a shadow clone groom Akamaru.

Day 4

No one came to the tower on day 4.

So, Konoha's 12 spent the entire day sparring and having fun - neither of them knew why they were still being kept in the tower.

They trained in the dojo, ran around the track, swam in the pool, and even played a few games of volleyball! Eventually, they tired out, hit the showers, and spent the rest of the day lazing about.

Except for Lee and Naruto (who had put on his green jumpsuit now).

Those two seemed to have endless stamina, and Naruto had clearly been improving in taijutsu, as Lee found that they were coming to more equal terms (although Lee did still have his weights on, while Naruto had forgotten to put his own on).

They were finally stopped by Tenten and Sakura, who managed to convince (bonk) them to stop pushing their bodies to such limits when the 5-day period was coming to a close.

Day 5

It wasn't until the very end of the day that 4 more teams arrived.

Kabuto's team, Dosu's team, the Sand team, and another Sound team came in, and were the final teams to pass the 2nd phase of the exam.

8:00 A.M., Day 6

The 2nd phase of the chunin exams was officially over.

The passing teams were lined up in the main hall of the tower, accompanied by their senseis, Anko, and some other jonin.

They were the audience for the hokage.

"It is time,", Hiruzen announced, "for the preliminary rounds for the third stage of the chunin exams!"
