Chapter Twelve: Legacy

And, I'm back with the final chapter. Somethin funny happend the other day. I submitted chapter eleven thinking it was Saturday, but that day was friday. Sorry about that! I still am happy to have finished the story. I am so lad to have finished this. After this I will work on a Spider Verse fanfic. Maybe I might make a sequel...

One by one, the original Avengers entered through the portal. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers looked around questiongly around the battlefield.

"What happened?" Steve asked. "How are we back?"

"Better question," Tony corrected. "What happened to my Artic facility? Do you know how much money it took to build-" Tony stopped as he recognized some familiar figures. Hulk and Rhodey waved at them. Then it looked like some teenagers in superhero suits started to run towards them.

"Who- woah!" Antman cried as Cassie leapt into his arms.

"Cassie?" Wasp exclaimed as the three pym tech welding heroes retracted their helmets. Pym lingered hesitantly. These were his parents that he had always wanted to meet. But would they recognize-

Pym's eyes widened as Hope Pym, the wasp engulfed him in a bear hug.

"Henry!" She laughed. "You're so big! I thought you were a baby!" the Pym Particle powered family gathered for a family hug.

"There's a lot we need to tell you." Cassie exclaimed as she started to blabber a summary of what happened for the past twelve years.

Black Panther eyed the battlefield until he found Okoye. Okoye bowed before him.

"King T'challa, you're back." She answered.

"What happened?" T'challa asked. He had no time for an answer before his son Azari ran towards him.

"Azari? Oh!" T'challa cried shockingly as he hugged him. "You're so tall! How old are you?"

"16."

"16?!"

Captain America and Tony were still confused.

"Is that… James?" Steve asked. "I know that red hair anywhere." James started to run towards Steve and hugged him.

"I missed you...Dad." James trailed off.

"You've gotten big. I wish your mother could be here to see you too…" Steve murmured. James nodded back in his father's arms. Black Widow had sacrificed herself for the soul stone many years ago.

"I'm just glad I still have you." James answered.

Toruun flew towards Thor and hugged him while dropping her axe and hammer.

"Father!" Torrun sobbed. Thor was shocked.

"Toruun? Is that you?" Thor cried. He lifted her up and hugged her back, spinning her around. "I see that you are wielding my hammer, eh? We shall go to Nidavellir and craft you a battle axe? A hammer? Or a mace?"

"A sword, please." Toruun grinned in her father's arms.

Francis approached his father Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, but Lila lingered uncertainty.

"Hey, dad." Francis smiled.

"Francis? Francis Barton?" Clint exclaimed as he gave him a bear hug. "I can't believe you kids got us back." Clint ruffled Francis' hair. "When was the last time you brushed your hair? Didn't an adult tell you after these many years…"

"Well, me and Lila were raised by a talking raccoon and a walking tree, so I had no adult supervision." Francis bragged.

"And you must be very responsible." Clint winked. Francis has a weak smile as a response.

"Lila!" Francis shouted.

Lila shrank behind a debris and backed up into Elodie.

"AH!" Lila cried.

"Shouldn't you be meeting your dad?" Elodie asked quietly.

"I- I don't feel like it. What if he doesn't know me?" Lila asked. Elodie read Lila's mind too prove that.

"You should meet him. You should be happy to meet your dad. He'd be happy. Besides, I-I don't have any parents, so you should be happy and spend as much time with them before it's too late-" Elodie stopped and blinked back her tears. Lila gave Elodie a bear hug.

"You're right. I'll meet him. You should come too." Lila dragged Elodie behind her despite her protests.

David watched as J.Q reunited with his father Star Lord and sighed. He never knew what happened to his parents. Too bad he had no father figure or any family at all. David was going to turn around when a large green hand stopped him.

"Where are you going?" Bruce asked. David shrugged.

"Just wandering around." David answered.

"I haven't really gotten to talk to you really, especially about Ravager." Bruce continued.

David gulped. "I can teach a few tricks, like how to control the anger, or maybe if you want to fuse the brains and the brawn-"

"No offense, but I don't want to be a jolly green giant for the rest of my life." David joked. "But I really would like some advice from someone who knows how to deal with this. It's not like I could find someone else to guide me, so thank you, I'd like that."

Meanwhile, Morgan was completely unaware of her surroundings as she sobbed for Peter. Then he heard him mutter something.

"What are you saying?" Morgan asked.

"He's...back…"

Morgan whirled around to expect Thane or Thanos, but no. Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, her father, standing before her.

"Dad…..?" Morgan gasped.

"Morgan? You- you've grown." Tony gasped also. Morgan sprang into her father's arms and cried like she never had before. Only after a while did Tony see Peter lying half burnt with the infinity stones.

"Oh, god, Peter…" Tony gasped. Peter gave a weak smile.

"Hi, Tony."

"That's the first time you've called me that instead of, 'Mr Stark". I- I can't believe it. You saved us. You don't know how proud I am of you. I- I can't thank you enough. You can finally rest, Peter."

That was all Peter Parker, the Amazing Spider Man last heard before everything went black.

Bonus Scene:

Peter woke up in a dazzling orange light. He found himself in a shallow water that sparkled slightly. He turned to see Natasha Romanoff behind him.

"Black Widow?" Peter questioned. "W- where are we?" Peter stood to see Vision and Gamora with them.

"You have a lot of questions, but call down, Peter." Vision answered.

"Calm down? I just died? Is this heaven?" Peter asked.

"No. Not quite." said a voice. A man with golden hair and skin with black and red suit and yellow cape floated towards him. The man had penetrating white eyes.

"You are in the Soul World." The man said. "I am Adam Warlock. And a fear something has happened. Because you all shouldn't be here."

The End
