Even though it was only two weeks, there wasn't much to do at the Amamiya house. The girls started drinking one night and the brothers joined in. The only siblings not to participate were the snitches. The cops played cards with the others, until it stopped and the new game was truth or dare. Asuga went first, by way of winning Rock-Paper-Scissors.
"Hiro, truth or dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to give Nori a two minute sexy lap dance."
Nori gave a disgusted look to her sister. "Do guys even know how to do that?"
Once Asuga put on some inspirational music, it didn't take long for her to find out that Hiroto knew how. He did a body roll and ran a hand down his chest. It reached his t-shirt hemline and scrunched it, as he pulled his shirt up to expose his tight abs. Then his hips moved like a salsa dancer, before he came closer, almost straddling the chair.
Kikuchi walked into the kitchen, where the game was happening and shook his head. "I don't even want to know what prompted that display." Grabbing two beers from the fridge he left again.
"Time's up. That was pretty good, it made Nori blush!" Asuga praised happily.
With a devious smirk, Hiroto targeted his brother. "Truth or dare?"
"Truth." Masaki replied.
"Is it true that being tied down to one woman is not what you really want?"
"False. Asuga is more than enough and I discover new things about her every day, so it's like she's a whole bunch of different people."
Noriko nodded, "that's well said. Good answer."
Masaki went next and asked, "Nori, truth or dare?"
She wasn't ready to face any heavy questions and chose, "dare."
He had to think a few minutes. "I dare you to kiss Saigo."
"That's easy," she laughed. Then waited for the others to follow her into the living room. She walked behind the couch where the cop in question was sitting on and bent over, kissing his cheek. "Thanks for trusting us."
Saigo looked surprised and puzzled until Kikuchi clarified, "they're playing truth or dare."
Getting annoyed, he said, "leave us out of your child's play."
The group left them alone and Noriko chose Asuga. "Truth or dare, sister?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to sniff the armpits of everyone in the room."
Masaki laughed and Hiroto grinned. "You have a weird sense of humour."
"It's truth or dare, what did you expect?"
Asuga began to make her rounds and commented, "I'm just glad she didn't ask me to smell everyone's ass!"
The game continued and they did things like belly dancing, ice cubes down their pants, licking the floor, running naked outside to the motorcycles and then back inside, among other humorous actions. It was truth that became the hard thing for everyone to complete.
"Is it true Masaki, that you were jealous of Hiroto and Takeru's connection?" Noriko asked on her turn.
Masaki answered truthfully, "yes. They were way closer than I ever was with Takeru. When it was just him and I, he treated me more like a burden. Like someone he had to hang with, rather than wanted to. I resented them both for a while."
He chose Asuga and she chose truth too. "Is it true that the only thing you fear is being alone?"
"Yes, that and spiders." Asuga then had Hiroto answer a hard question too.
"Is it true Hiro, that you hated Masaki for being the one that Takeru went to if he was fighting someone dangerous?"
Hiroto tilted his head to the side and then sighed. "Yeah, they left me out of stuff they thought I couldn't handle. I always followed them and hoped Masaki would get his ass kicked."
"And sometimes I did and wished Takeru let you come with us. We were always best, as three." Masaki contributed.
Hiroto asked Noriko, "is it true that you cheated on your last boyfriend?"
"False. He cheated on me. Worse he tried to lie about it, saying Asuga was jealous of us. But I trust my sister for truth, even when I don't want to hear it."
Asuga looked her in the eye and very seriously vowed, "I will never lie to you."
"I know and I would never lie to you. We'd know right away if the other was lying anyway."
Masaki rolled his eyes, "is that a twin thing?"
"No it's a sister thing. And I'm sure if Hiroto lied to you or vice versa, you'd know too." Noriko replied and muffled a yawn.
"Tequila catching up to you?" Masaki asked.
She shook her head, "tequila is like rocket fuel for me. But, I didn't sleep well last night."
"I can vouch for that, she tossed and turned all night."
Norkio stood up and put the tequila bottle back in the fridge's freezer compartment. "I think I'm done for playing games. Good night everyone."
Hiroto stretched his arms and stood up. "I'm finished too." He followed his girlfriend upstairs.
Noriko stripped and put on her pyjamas, then got into the bed they shared. He took off his pants, leaving on socks, t-shirt and underwear. She was on her side, so he spooned her. He could tell the truth answers had upset her, but just waited to see if she said anything. Hiroto dozed off while waiting.
Masaki and Asuga drank more, playing cards. "Have you really never lied to Noriko?"
"White lies, but anything important we're honest with each other. Her ex wrecked her for a long time. We were sixteen and after him, she swore off guys until Hiroto. I'm still surprised to this day, that she let him in to her heart."
"What did the guy do? Did you beat him up?"
Asuga looked at him with shock, "how did you know?! I never told anyone that."
"Because anyone who ever tried to hurt Hiroto or Takeru, I'd go beat up. Hiro doesn't know it, but every fight he got into I knew about. Any one that started because he was bullied, and he couldn't finish, I made sure they knew not to mess with the Amamiya Brothers."
"Why didn't you tell him that?"
"He'd think I didn't trust his ability to fight. And just like you, I'm not sure he'd understand why I had to do it."
"Yeah, Noriko would've flipped shit. I broke the guy's nose. Best bare knuckle punch I ever gave."
Masaki refilled their glasses. "What did the guy do to Nori?"
"He made her doubt herself, called her names and blamed her for everything, especially if it was his fault. And even though I can't prove it, I think he forced himself on her."
"What a piece of work. I'm glad you kicked his ass, but guys like that never change."
"It was hard to see my strong sister, so frightened and weak. I think that's why she's so strict and narrow minded now."
Masaki took a long swallow. "Our game, it gave me a chance to clear some things up with my brother. I also didn't know Hiro use to follow us. I knew he hated me for a long time. But now he's stuck with me."
"I don't think he feels like that now. He would've left to live on his own, after Takeru died and you guys got your closure over that."
"Asuga's right. I don't hate you. You annoy me often, but we're brothers for life." Hiroto said from the doorway.
"How long were you standing there?" Masaki asked looking behind and over his shoulder.
"From the point about Nori's ex…. Is there anything to eat?" Hiroto asked.
"The take-out leftovers, do you want me to heat it up for you?"
"Don't get up Asuga, I can eat it cold." Hiroto sat down at the table.
"Are those my track pants?" Masaki looked at his brother with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, the ones hanging on your door. I didn't want to search for mine, in case I woke Noriko up."
Asuga waited until he was eating, "the questions about the past upset her right?"
"I think so, she never said a word."
"It's one of the things I hate, she bottles everything deep inside. That's thanks to my dad, but age hasn't improved that trait."
"Hiro gets her talking, just like how I get you to think before you act," Masaki pointed out.
Hiroto glanced up at them. "He hasn't learned how to keep his foot out of his own mouth yet."
Asuga laughed, but said nothing. She'd teach Masaki a lesson about that, in their own bed later.
