A/N: Unfortunately, I couldn't think of anything for Setsuna, so I skipped her prompt. It doesn't matter as long as I participate in Inuvember, right?

Another day, another demon slain. Moroha loved her job. There was nothing she loved better than a good fight...well, that and a nice warm bath, but that was a different point, entirely.

After slaying the demon cat that plagued the village and saving the life of the monk Juan, Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna were preparing to leave the village for good. However, as the girls were preparing to leave, Moroha suddenly stopped and glanced over her shoulder.

It was the little girl from earlier, the one she gave her chocolate pocky to. She was giggling and smiling with tears of happiness in her eyes as she was being embraced by her mother. The woman lovingly smothered the child's face with tender kisses and words of apology for ignoring her, but the little girl just kept laughing and crying at the same time.

As she watched...Moroha suddenly felt something. This...feeling of heaviness that made it feel like her heart was sinking into her stomach. Her usually cocky smile suddenly tilted downward.

For a brief moment...she saw a woman with long, raven locks, just like her own...holding her arms open with a big, warm, welcoming smile.

"Moro?"

Moroha suddenly shook her head and looked back to see Towa and Setsuna standing near the village entrance.

"Why are you just standing there, Moroha?" Setsuna asked. "We have places to be."

"Yeah, what's the hold-up?" asked Towa.

"Uh...i-it's nothing," Moroha replied. "Don't worry about it." She soon grabbed the demon cat's head and carried it off. "Anyway, come on! Let's go show this to Old Man Jyubei! Just think about how much money we'll get this for this baby!"

With that, the girls soon bade the village farewell and continued on the road...but as Towa glanced back at Moroha, who was actually hanging at the back of the trio instead of usually walking at the front, she noticed that she had this...almost troubled look to her.

"...Moroha?" Towa asked, getting her cousin's attention while her sister stopped and glanced back. "Listen...I-I don't know what's going on, but...if there's something you wanna talk about, you can tell me, okay? I mean...as weird it is...we are family, now."

Moroha seemed momentarily taken back by this while Towa gave her a reassuring smile, and Setsuna just stood by with that usual expression of indifference.

"...I...I think I'll be okay," Moroha said before she looked to her cousin with a smile. "But...thanks anyway, Towa."

Towa nodded her head before the girls soon continued down the road...and as they did, Moroha bit her lip and screwed her eyes shut, mentally telling herself over and over not to cry.

I don't necessarily watch the spin-off, but I gotta admit, the fact Moroha shows so much indifference about her family really rubs me the wrong way, so I thought I'd do a bit of an alternate ending to episode 6 where Moroha has a sudden flashback about her mom.

At least in my fanon universe, Moroha will have her parents as well as her big brothers and sisters...and perhaps another brother. We'll see. XD
