Chapter 12- Trouble Back Home WARNING: Slight Alya/Lila Bashing
Marinette and Anton were hard at work on a new swimsuit design, Anton's computer skills came in quite handy, when there was a knock at the door.
Tia opened it to reveal Luka and Chloe, Marinette smiled and nodded at Tia to let them in.
Luka hugged Marinette and told her that her melody had changed drasticly, "Like a soothing tidal wave" he said. the young designer blushed.
Chloe nodded and complimented her her new punk-like atire, said it fit her new style perfectly.
"So, how are things back home?" Marinette asked.
Chloe and luka stared at each other and then at Marinette, "You miight wanna sit down for this one..." Chloe explained.
"After you told Alya and the others off, things got a bit hairy back home, Alya was pissed, she never wanted to even hear the name "Marinette" in her presence, after that, it was all downhill from there..." said Luka.
"With HawkMoth and Ladybug gone, Alya deleted the LadyBlog, and well, decided to devote her life to being Lie-la's right hand girl, anyone who didn't fall in line had to deal with Alya!" Chloe added.
Marinette's eyes widend, this was serious, Tia was upset as well, Lila was up to her old tricks again!
"What's worse, Nino dumped Alya after he found out about what Alya was doing, Lila decided to make Nino's life a living hell, she somehow managed to plant drugs in his locker and got Nino arrested, he's 19 so they had him tried as an adult!" said Chloe, "He was sentenced to 15 years in prison!"
"Nino's in prison?" said Marinette, Luka nodded.
Tia was pissed, Lila went way to far, Nino didn't a damn thing to anyone and she got the poor bastard arrested!
"Afterwards, Alix decided to switch schools like you did, we don't know where but she told us that she couldn't live like this, Ivan and Mylene moved out of Paris out of fear, Max and Kim also switched schools, Rose. Juleka, myself and Adrien are all that's left." said Chloe.
"So why stay?" asked Marinette.
"With his dad in prison, someone has to look out for Adrien, not to mention, Keep Alya from killing somone!" said Chloe, Luka nodded.
Marinette hung her head, but Chloe raised it back up.
"Don't...you...FUCKING...dare blame yourself, you did the right thing by leaving, you leaving reminded us that even you have a breaking point, you reminded us that you are a human being too, that you couldn't always be around forever!" encouraged Chloe.
"Chloe's right, sure we miss you, but we needed to think about your needs too, you're safe, you're happy, and you found some awesome friends who care about you!" said Luka.
Tears streaked down Marinette's face, she was so glad to have some understanding friends, she hugged them tight.
"We started this when we took Lie-la's Side over yours, now we have to live with the consequences of our mistake." said Chloe.
And with another hug, Luka and Chloe took their leave, hopefully, things will get better...
