(Dovekie)
Dovekie had fallen asleep at some point while the SandWings were transporting him. When he woke up, he was laying on the hard stone, and a sun-colored dragon was staring at him. Dovekie jolted upwards, his forehead collided with hers with a loud crack and they both fell back.
"Ow..." The little dragonet was on her back now, her talons clutching her forehead. "H... hey... you're alive, though! I-I was worried for a bit!" Dovekie forced himself to stand up and look at the other dragon. Her scales were a bright yellow, and she had golden teardrop scales next to her eyes. The underside of her wings were black near her torso, and had golden starscales splattered along them.
"A-are you Burn?" The hybrid carefully lifted her talons and looked over, disgust crossing her face.
"Ew, no. Burn's put me in here half a dozen times now, I don't want anything to do with her."
"Half a dozen- what?" The dragonet trotted over to Dovekie and circled him. He stood up and followed her gaze, his head swiveling. "You've gotten out of here?"
"Yeah! this happens about once a month. Well... I've never gotten out by myself. Usually mom or Beetle come and get me." She paused and tilted her head. "Actually... I think this is the second time this month!"
"Wait- three moons, you've gotten out of here before?" He stepped back and shook her head. "Wait, who even are you?"
"Oh, duh!" She bounded closer to him and grinned. "I'm Sunny! How about you?"
"Oh... I'm Dovekie."
"Nice to meet you, Dove!"
(Tsunami)
Tsunami watched as the dragon next to her was brought down to the sand, and an IceWing from the other side of the arena was brought down as well. Another MudWing was pressing himself towards the edge of his tower, looking panicked.
"Crane!" He looked like he was ready to throw himself off, and Tsunami subconsciously dug her claws into the stone as much as she could. "Send me down there instead! Please!" Tsunami looked over at the dragon, and realized he didn't look entirely MudWing. His scales had a reddish hue to them, and his wings were the color of blood.
'Color of blood... where have I heard that before?' Tsunami shook her head and turned her attention towards the arena. The other MudWing also had speckles of red scales along her back and flecks along her wings. 'Oh. They must be from the same sib group.' While she didn't know much about MudWings, she at least knew what sib groups were, from when different troops would come to the Summer Palace to talk with her or queen Coral about battle plans.
She forced herself to focus on the arena again as the cheers grew louder, and the MudWing a few towers over grew more panicked. The IceWing was absolutely relentless towards the other dragon, who Tsunami figured was Crane. One of her wings had a large patch of ice on it, and she had several large scratches on her. As for the IceWing, he had a burn patch halfway down his tail and a few smaller scratches. Tsunami watched Crane collapse on the sand, and then the IceWing walk over to her slumped form.
Tsunami heard sever of the dragons at the towers cry out and her head snapped over. The MudWing had jumped and was suspended by the wires. The dragons nearby were yelling at him, and the guards flew up and put him back on his tower. She watched as the IceWing was flown back up to his tower as well. Another set of guards went to go do something about the now-dead MudWing on the sand. The MudWing a few towers over had now completely shut down, his head buried under his tail. Tsunami went to curl back up until she heard Scarlet call for another fight, and guards flew up to the sulking MudWing. He snarled and fought against them, but was brought down to the sand anyway.
Her eyes scanned the arena, and her stomach dropped when she saw the guards grab Starflight as well.
(Starflight)
Starflight didn't struggle as he was brought down to the sand.
In fact, he barely even moved as he was dropped. The MudWing across from him was mourning, he knew that. The dragon glared at him with tears in his eyes, and crouched low to the ground, glaring at Starflight as if the little NightWing was the source of all of his problems. Starflight faintly heard Vermillion call out the name Clay, and then fight!
The MudWing charged at Starflight, the latter barely getting out of the way in time.
"W-we don't have to do this!" Starflight's voice was panicked as the MudWing slashed at him again, Starflight dropping down and pressing himself to the sand. Clay didn't answer, instead rearing up to try and slam his talons down on the NightWing. He rolled out of the way, but Clay still managed to slam down on his tail. Starflight cried out and opened his mouth, shooting fire at the MudWing. He saw the dragon's scales turn bright red... and then slowly return to normal color. But Starflight didn't have time to process it as the MudWing raked his claws over Starflight's snout, much to the delight of the crowd.
The dragon finally let go of his tail and Starflight staggered back. "I-I'm not gonna fight you!" Starflight continued to back away from Clay, until his back hit the wall. He shakily shifted until he was laying down. Clay continued to talk towards the NightWing... but eventually stopped and sighed. He sat down heavily on the sand in front of Starflight and hung his head.
"I... don't wanna kill anyone." Clay's voice was quiet and heavy. "That... that was my sister, Crane..." Starflight carefully got up and crept towards Clay, sitting down next to the MudWing.
"I'm sorry about your sister." Clay looked down at the little NightWing. The crowd was starting to boo the pair now, and Scarlet looked absolutely furious.
"Get them back to their towers! Now!"
