Yes, I have returned once more. This is it, guys. The big climax to City of Light. The moment you've all been waiting for. It's time for the Agents to fight and defeat Galeem once and for all.

You can see why this chapter took long to complete. Action scenes are challenging for me to write out, but it's all worth it in the end. ;)

So anyways, it's time for this huge moment to finally occur. Enjoy! :D

Backwards sentence of the chapter: .DNE OT SIHT ROF EMIT

*scene: inside the Fearical Dome*

Through the huge hole left open, everyone landed safely on the cold floor beneath them. Once they got up from their graceful fall, they looked around to see what exactly they were going to be experiencing.

"Well... this is what's inside, huh?" Redd wondered as he observes around the huge place. It was quite fancy and even bigger on the inside. It was almost like the size of a mansion. With much, much more to be desired.

"He really made all of this just by pulling it off the ground as it was even made there?" Chany questioned.

"I'll say. If this place wasn't owned by Galeem, I'd be up for exploring this place." Mia said, rolling her eyes at the thought of the biggest threat they had to be dealing with.

"Anyways, we should head this way. We have to find the captured citizens and get them out of here." Flint suggested as he pointed at a long path ahead of them. The others looked over at that long, narrow hallway, and thought well about it.

"I'm certain we may not have a choice. I don't wanna be in this place for too long." Mia responded.

"Okay, let's head over there and see what's on the other side." Caleb said.

"Way ahead of ya." Redd nods in agreement as he spoke. Together, he and the others walked along the hallway to see what is there.

On the bright side, nothing in this huge dome was too much for the Agents to handle. In terms of the brightness, they could handle just fine. They didn't have to shield their eyes every second they were around anything that relates to Galeem and/or the City of Light.

But the walls of this hallway (and maybe just the walls in general) really spoke out in this huge place. Sparkling to go along with the bright colors all across. But nothing to hurt any eyes of any sort. Just keeping the place to suit what Galeem is looking for.

"You know... I have to admit, I'm shocked that no one has been going after us so far." Redd admitted.

"It was almost too easy so far with the help of Master Hand and Crazy Hand." Caleb added.

"You'd think maybe that Hikari would be after us, considering she would most likely be guarding this over-the-top impossible-to-navigate sphere in the sky." Mia rambled. Chany giggled, hearing Mia's statement to be like something she would never hear from someone like the well-known Agent 3.

"Hikari? Who's Hikari?" Flint asked, getting interested in the new name of someone he hasn't met nor heard of.

"Oh, Hikari's Galeem's heir to the throne, basically," Redd explained, "When we were in the 'True World of Light', she proved herself to be a tough cookie, for sure. She is smart as well, but we managed to outsmart her and escape that dastardly world."

"Ever since then, we never saw Hikari after that," Caleb chimed in, "We don't know if she's here right now, or what."

"I hope she's not spying on us right now. That would be creepy..." Aaliyah shuddered. Mia smiles and pats Ali's shoulder, gaining a cute smile from the innocent Octoling.

"I doubt it. But if we do ever encounter her, we'll be ready. I bet she couldn't handle all of us together all at once." Chany assured. Aaliyah looks at her pink Inkling friend, and nods while still showing a smile.

"You're right. We'll try the best we can.." She said, growing a little confidence in her voice.

"Heh, that's what I like to hear!" Redd chuckled, smiling at Ali's small confidence booster.

"Oh, hey guys! Check this out! Right here!" Flint exclaimed, looking at something to his left. There was a small part of the hallway that expanded to be bigger and wider before transitioning to a narrow path again.

The others joined in, and they saw a little banner on the wall that had an image of Hikari on it. The background was yellow stained glass, with some rainbow spots all with some black markings to really make it stand out.

And on the ground in front of them... was a tombstone. This made everyone jump back at the sight of it. But there was no ruined ground that looked like she was dug into it. And they couldn't feel anything beneath them either.

Mia decided to look on the details on the tombstone. And there... she was shocked and curious from everything she saw:

Hannah "Hikari" Ella Monroe

Age: 18

Galeem's famed swordfighter that helped make the True World of Light become a reality

Forcibly adopted by Galeem after a major attack. Ran away from Galeem's verbal abuse, returned years later after losing her true parents. Became a legendary, strong swordfighter and defeated the entirety of the Smash roster

May she rest in peace.

"Hikari's... dead?" Mia said, slightly shocked, but also slightly confused.

"Well... on the bright side, at least we know she won't be attacking us." Caleb assured. Redd shrugs, and decided to speak his part.

"I certainly didn't expect this. She was there when the City of Light begun, wasn't she?" He assumed.

"Her real name's 'Hannah,' apparently. I don't know a whole lot about her unlike you guys, so I'm kinda lost," Flint pointed out, "But anyways, we should continue to find the captive Inklings and Octolings. And fast."

"Gotcha covered, Flint. I was about to leave this small site anyway." Mia chuckled, showing a small smirk.

"I think the tunnel here ends soon. We should be almost there." Chany insisted. She continued her path there, and the others followed immediately, not wanting to be left behind.

And just like Chany predicted: it didn't take much longer to get there. And they surprised expressions they had were showing well from what they were seeing once they got there.

This room was HUGE, that it could fit anything that was even bigger than Galeem. There was a giant stained window in the middle that was shaped and colored like Galeem's core. There were some pillars holding the place up, and there were three bigger ones in the center edge of the room.

And laying on the highest point of that center was what they all saw on Off the Hook's emergency broadcast: a giant throne composed of frozen cephalopod agony.

"O-Oh my, it looks even worse up close..." Aaliyah yelped as she cringes. Mia looks up at the giant throne, then she turns into her squid form and super jumps to get a better view. Once she got up, she turned towards the group.

"Hey! I found Sonic!" Mia said as she points at him, "He's golden! But not... the good kind."

The rest down below look above to look at the third Agent. Unfortunately, they couldn't get a good view of Sonic just yet.

"Okay! Let's grab him and get out of here!" Flint suggested.

"But how exactly are we going to unfreeze him?"

"I think we know!" A feminine voice yelled. The group recognized it immediately, and they looked above at the ceiling, as that's where the voice was trailing from.

There, they saw the Squid Sisters, each in individual cages that were a few feet apart from each other. And the cages were even white for some odd reason. Probably another reason for Galeem's own personal desires.

"Callie? Marie? What happened to you?" Caleb questioned.

"We're captured! Galeem's making us stay in these cages for the rest of our lives!" Callie cried.

"After that Sonic clone got us and took us here, we were transported here where Galeem would then put us in cages and taunt us every now and then." Marie sighed. She and Callie sat down, looking below at the group who came to rescue them.

"Fear not, Squid Sisters! We're going to get you out of there!" Flint said in a determined tone.

"You're our heroes, guys! I knew you would come to save us!" Callie cheered.

"We need to find a way to free the rest of the citizens, too. Do you have any idea how? Chany asked, looking at the big throne.

"Look on the left handle. There should be a rainbow captive there keeping it together," Marie explained, "When you see him, pull him out. Not only will the throne get loose, but I'm sure the cages will disappear as well."

"Should be easy enough." Redd said. He took the quick opportunity to find this rainbow-statued Inkling. Luckily, it was on the lower part of the throne, so the fourth Agent didn't have to super jump to get there.

"Okay, let's get you out of here." Redd said quietly. He begins to pull the poor squid out, grunting in the process. Within a few seconds, the captive Inkling groans as he comes back to life and turns back to his normal color.

The giant throne then came and fell apart like dominoes. All the captives fell onto the floor, still statue-ized. However, a couple seconds later, the statue form of them disappears completely, and they could all move and talk again.

Everyone gets up and groans, relieved to finally be free from this tight statue form they all had to go into. Some even got a bit panicky when they realized they were still in the huge, scary dome. Mia and Caleb took this time to help calm everyone down and assure them they'll be alright.

Meanwhile, Chany and Flint cheered as everyone was finally coming back. Redd just smiles happily. The cages holding Callie and Marie fall to the ground and disappear upon impact.

"Oh thank cod..." Marie said as she gets up, Callie following along. They came together and smile, walking towards Redd, Chany and Flint.

"You guys really know how to save the day well! Passing by all of the stuff Galeem has in store, and saving us with ease!" Callie giggled.

"We're grateful for your help, guys. How did you even do it, anyway?" The lime green Squid Sister asked curiously.

"Let's just say we got help from some new friends." Redd snickered, smirking as he looks to the side. Marie playfully rolls her eyes, while Callie just smiles sweetly.

They all notice that Sonic was right there next to them as well, still in the golden statue form. That went away too, and Sonic stumbled a bit as he regains his footing. He looks around as he remembered what was going on.

But once he noticed his friends right next to them, his scared look was replaced with a big grin.

"Guys! You're all okay!" He cheered. Everyone nods and shares the same smile with the blue Inkling.

"You had us worried there, bud," Redd sighed in relief, "Thank goodness Galeem hasn't done anything too horrifying to you."

Upon hearing that, Sonic just winces and looks away slightly. He rubs the back of his neck as he thought about the things that happened during the time he was captured.

"Let's just say... it was worth it to stop Galeem from getting closer to his goal even more." Sonic admitted. He yelps quietly as Callie hugs him from behind.

"Oh, Sonic! You're okay, too! Don't scare me like that next time!" She cried. Sonic blushes immediately upon impact, but he shows a small smile, because he is relieved himself that he is okay, too.

"Don't worry. I'm just fine." Sonic said in a soft tone. Callie then pulls away from the hug, and Sonic turns towards everyone. Before anyone could speak, Pearl and Marina soon joined back with the group.

"Eyo! You guys saved us! I'm impressed! Thanks for the help!" Pearl thanked.

"Yes, we really appreciate it. I don't know what we would've done without you." Marina added.

"All in a day's work." Caleb chuckled as he nods.

"Okay, uh... hate to break it short, but we don't have a lot of time," Redd said suddenly, "Hey, Sonic, remember right before you were frozen that you were about to tell us that you knew one of Galeem's secret weaknesses?"

"Yeah, like a secret way to defeat him?" Mia added. Meanwhile, outside of the giant hole, the fight outside can be seen, where Galeem was pushing the Ultimate Smash-a-tron back, trying to get the upper hand.

Sonic looked at the twins with a confused look, but after a few seconds, he smiles and snaps his fingers, remembering what he was about to say.

"I... I do." The blue Inkling said, "So, does anyone know where some clones and/or spirits can be found? Anything along those lines?"

No one responded quickly, but Sonic takes this time to look around and see what he can find. There, he found a clone of himself regenerating. It had a few plugs by him that were surrounded by... a colorful spiral.

The others recognized that. That was the Sonic clone that almost defeated everyone before Master Hand came to save the day! It was regenerating for the next fight coming up.

Sonic look towards the plugs and the rainbow spiral, and he smiles.

"Aha! Perfect!" He cheers. He runs to the clone, and extends his arm out. His palm grows near the clone, displaying his... mortal energy on this somewhat immortal being.

"Uh... we got Galeem outside, but I don't know how longe we can keep him occupied." Redd confessed as he winces.

"Yes, yes. Good, good." Sonic giggles as he continues this.

"You're trying to do something to that weird clone? What exactly are you planning here, Sonic?" Chany asked curiously.

"Galeem didn't take over your mind or anything like that, did he?" Flint asked with a slightly afraid look.

"Don't worry, my mind is fine. And there is a way to defeat him... with these." Sonic replied. The clone completely disintegrates, and out comes dozens of light spirits, all huddled up together in a small circle form.

"Hm? Wait a second..." Caleb gasped as he looks at the spirits.

"Are those...?" Mia was about to ask.

"Yes," Sonic responded, "These are the spirits I was telling you about. Back when I was playing World of Light, I learned about how spirits work in that mode. Some having increasing power and defense, and others that have some that are more rare to find. Many have proclaimed that when others absorb spirits that were made by the same user, it will help create a force so strong enough to vanquish Galeem. And with that, Galeem's power will be reversed, and Inkopolis and Smash will be saved."

The group was all together as they listen to Sonic's short tale. They were shocked, murmuring amongst themselves after hearing this. Sonic smiles, allowing the spirits to float around them.

"I have no idea how we can find them at this rate, but after having this weird feeling in my chest during my time I was captured... I realized how each of these will help us out against Galeem." Sonic continued. He looks closely at the spirits, as if he felt the abilities an strength that each of them hold.

"Redd," The blue Inkling reminded, "This spirit right here will give you increased defense and knockback. When Galeem tries to knock you out, it will be much more difficult for him to do."

"Ooh, I like that." Redd complimented as the specific spirit gets closer to him.

"And Mia, this one right here has increased attack power. Any attack you do with do much more, since I know how offensive you can be in battle." Sonic offered to Redd's sister.

"Shell yeah, count me in." Mia chuckled as she smirks. Another spirit floats towards Caleb, and the Octoling squints his eyes to see what awaits him in terms of this power.

"Increased ranged power? I think I can get used to that..." Caleb admitted.

"Ooh, and what about this one?" Marina asked her short partner, "This one can give us increased power when together with a friend."

"Whoa... now that's epic." Pearl said with a smirk, crossing her arms.

"Increased jumping? I think Callie and Marie would like that." Mia pointed out.

"Heh, an excuse for super jumping to be easier." Marie snickered, picking that spirit.

"I mean, you are good with a sniper, Marie. But it could still be helpful with what we may be facing." Callie reminded as she joins in. The gray-haired Squid Sisters looks at her magenta cousin, and nods.

"Absolutely." She said.

*meanwhile, back outside...*

"Aaurgh!" Galeem yelped as he gets pushed onto the ground, getting punched a few times before he gets pinned down. The Ultimate Smash-a-tron gets ready for a big attack, all weapons and options in a threatening position.

"Uugh!" The Lord Of Light pushes his wings onto the giant contraption, trying to push it back. But the forcefield around the box immediately came into view, stopping Galeem from pushing the box back any further.

However, Galeem stops the pushing once he noticed something.

"Huh?" He peers over at the box. And there, he saw... its weak point. There was a small corner of the box that was left sticking out of the forcefield.

"What the-?" Galeem proves this theory more as he touches it. And he didn't feel any powerful force that would stop him from doing anything to the box. Galeem grows more angry as he gets up without a scratch.

"Hey, Sandbag!" He exclaimed. He then latches his wings onto the corner, trying to rip the corner out. Everyone inside grew scared as to what was happening.

"Nice job with your STURDINESS!" Galeem yells as he completely rips the corner out, making it grow bigger and longer in his wings by applying his infinite amount of energy into it.

The Inklings and Octolings screamed and pleaded, not wanting to get hurt, and just afraid in general when Galeem found his way to morally damage the unstoppable machine. Even Master and Crazy Hand cringed and backed up when they saw what was happening.

"HOME RUN!" The light god boasts as he charges the expanded corner, then smacks the machine with it like a baseball bat.

The machine gets launched pretty far as it lands on the ground with multiple thuds, damaging the outside and the remaining citizens inside during that ride.

*back in the dome...*

"What does that one do? It doesn't have any increase in anything." Redd asked as he pointed at a few other spirits, not knowing which one does what.

"They don't all need to have that, Redd," Sonic said with a shrug, "There are primary and support spirits, after all. And some can allow stuff like starting off with an item in your hands."

"Chany, you should pick that one!" Flint insisted.

"You are pretty good with sub and special weapons, after all." Marie added with a compliment. Chany giggles and looks back at the, finding its use.

"Alright, I'll pick this one! Anything to stop Galeem!" The pink Inkling cheered.

"Much like some can allow for more running options, like this one that can increase your speed." Sonic commented. Aaliyah finds one spirit that had that exact ability, and she grins cutely once she picks it.

"Veemo!" She chirped.

"Okay, now absorb the spirits, and then hold hands! The spirits will help combine each of the power to help weaken Galeem and possibly banish him from here!" Sonic commanded. Everyone immediately obeys, and they allow the spirits to go inside them.

They looked down at themselves and they see the same rainbow spire around them. When they all began to hold hands (including Sonic because he chose one too), the ground began to shake as everything glows brighter.

Outside of the dome, tick, white clouds began to circle around, indicating that the banishing power was shortly about to release.

"Oh my cod! I think it's working!" Redd yelped.

"Yes! This is exactly what we needed!" Flint cheered.

"All of you, leave the dome! It's too dangerous!" Sonic said to the leftover Inklings and Octolings that Galeem captured. They all nod, and run out of the Fearical Dome to get to someplace safe.

Once again, back outside, the Ultimate Smash-a-tron was about to meet its maker. Because Galeem weakened it at last, the Lord of Light was taking this opportunity to unleash his big attacks and end it once and for all.

He duplicated his core to create two more, and a bunch of light balls start shooting out of each of those cores at a rapid pace, much like a machine gun. He then grows back to one core and shoots a powerful light beam, destroying the machine with ease.

The remaining citizens lay on the ground weakened. But what really caught Galeem by surprise is when he saw Master Hand and Crazy Hand in that same state.

The light god leans closer to the two hands, glaring at them.

"Master Hand? Crazy Hand? Wow, you're finally freed, huh?" Galeem teased. He slowly turns back to his dome, noticing something. He didn't know it for sure, but he did have a feeling something was wrong.

Slowly, he inches towards the hands again.

"I know exactly why you're here..." He grumbled. Then he boosts himself over to the dome and get inside. The two gloves look at this, with afraid and nervous looks.

"Urgh... no! We can't let him! The Agents are in danger!" Crazy hand yelled, "Master Hand, quick! We gotta get inside there and warn them before it's too late"

Master Hand couldn't respond, as Crazy Hand already got a head start. But Master wasn't about to give up there, either.

"All of you, stay here! The world will be saved! Trust me!" Master Hand warned. Then he floats away without anything more to say. The leftover citizens then stand back, looking around to stay safe from this predicament.

Back inside, the glow that the Agents had began to die down. It has gotten less and less brighter for some reason.

"Huh? What's going on?" Chany asked.

"Oh no! Nothing's working!" Caleb cried.

"Just a little more, guys! Come on..." Sonic said in an attempt to not give up hope. But that only proved useless, as he felt something grow towards the group, who shared the same reaction as they look at the hole.

As they expected, Galeem was there, sassily twirling a wall of the Ultimate Smash-a-tron.

"'Oh no, it's Galeem!' Right? Isn't that what you're all thinking?" The Lord of Light teased. He looks towards the Squid Sisters, and he grew more angry when he realized. He accusingly points at them, putting the ripped apart wall down.

"Hey, Squid Sisters, why aren't you in your cages? Chop chop, huh?" He groaned.

"Galeem! Your reign of terror has come to an end!" Flint shouted.

"How dare you take this world for your own wishes? You'll pay for what you've done!" Callie yelled along. Galeem could only stare at the whole group, who glared at the large god in anger, ready to fight back.

"I've had enough of this. I suppose there's no other choice." Galeem simply said. Sparkles began to surround them, until they filled up a whole wall around them.

Once the sparkles went away, the Agents were revealed to be surrounded by a world similar to what Smash is like. On the floor, they were no longer at the Fearical Dome. Instead, they were on what looked like Final Destination, but with four platforms. One on the bottom, one on the very top, and two side by side, each near one of the two ledges.

"Oh dear..." Aaliyah murmured.

"Looks like we do have to fight to save our world." Sonic said. Galeem glares right at the blue Inkling.

"If the Minions of Light cannot stop you from carrying your world back on its shoulders, then I'll face you all myself," The Lord of Light said, "Because of you all, you stepped in my way each time to stop everything! All dimensions... everything I worked up to this point... even Hikari is gone because of the fate this world put onto her!"

"What happened to Hikari anyway?" Redd questioned.

"I didn't ask you, did I? And it's not like I'll tell you foolish sea creatures," Galeem continued, "So time to take the City of Light into my own wings. If you want to save your dimension so badly, then fine. I'll stop you all myself, and turn you all into the most strongest puppet fighters known to mankind!"

"Well then, challenge accepted!" Caleb exclaimed.

"You're done for, Galeem. Prepare for your defeat!" Mia chimed in.

"Let us begin! Show me this power that you claim to have, Agents." Galeem taunted, beckoning for the Agents to attack him. Everyone holds up their weapons, ready for the fight to begin. Aaliyah gets in a defensive position, ready to run to try out her increased speed when attacks come her way.

(Insert Galeem's battle theme here)

"Just aim for the core! It's the only way we can deal damage on him!" Sonic told the others. Redd, Mia, and Sonic were going completely offensive for their plan, following Galeem and attacking him there.

Callie and Marie guarded the edges as they also attempt to get close. Callie was the one who would try to attack more with her Roller, while Marie stood back with her sniper and get Galeem from far away. Off the Hook and Caleb would try to hop from platform to platform and get a good view of Galeem there.

And all the while, Chany and Flint would just join in and land as many hits on Galeem as they possibly can. Either way, with enough power from the spirits they absorbed, nothing can go wrong no matter what they tried to do.

And so, their assult on the great Lord of Light began. All their attacks did little damage as Galeem floats around, crossing his wings like arms.

"Hm... I'm impressed by your ability to fight, Agents," Galeem said sarcastically, "However, I'm afraid your little Turf War is gonna have to end here. I will not hold back one bit!"

He teleports to another spot where he won't get hit, and would take everyone a while to get up there and hit him. And as the Agents get there to cause even more damage, Galeem starts his first attack.

His wings turn into four circles, and makes them circle around his core. Then, they click together with his core, and as the wings turn back to normal, four cross-shaped bombs form. They were all white, with the cross shapes being blue.

"Let me add some of these in here and blow you away." Galeem teased. The bombs stood there for a few seconds, until they began to glow and make more noise.

"Attack the bombs! Quick!" Sonic cried. Marie snipes one bomb, and Caleb attacks another. Unfortunately, the two bombs that were left untouched exploded into a large blue flame the same shape as those crosses.

Everyone yelps as they jump out of the way. Aaliyah just dodged, while Chany and Off the Hook got stuck in the flames, rapidily damaging them until the flames went away, launching them in the air for a few seconds.

None of them were severely injured, and they got back to attacking. Despite all the grouped attacks, it was doing very little damage to the god of light. But on the bright side, the explosions from the flames didn't do too much either... for now.

"This is all you got? I expected more from you squids and octopuses." Galeem sighed. He teleports around again, taunting the Agents and forcing them to chase him.

"He's teleporting all over the place!" Flint yelped.

"He is very fast, that's for sure!" Chany added.

"He may be fast, but he isn't fast enough!" Pearl retorted. She was quick to roll dodge around with her Dualies, while Marina was getting close attacks in with her Octobrush. The others still kept their plan going on, while the Squid Sisters chimed in to bring in some big damage.

When Galeem stops his teleporting, his core stood in one spot as his wings disappear again, being replaced with a large ring that resembled the transitioning colors of his wings. The ring reaches outwards until it is no longer seen.

"Let's see you guys survive these impossible to dodge beams." Galeem taunts. Dozens of small, purple lines scattered all around. Galeem then gives off a small glow from his core. And it was then Sonic knew what was coming.

"Watch out!" He screamed. They all began to get out of the way of all the lines, resulting in energy coming from the lines to cause lots of damage and knockback.

"Ooh! That was close!" Callie yelped.

"It was. Did he really expect to get us like that?" Mia stated as she attacks Galeem some more. Galeem only floats and teleports by, barely taking any damage from all the ink attacks.

And with the combined ink together laying all across Final Destination, it really allowed everyone to have an easier time dodging and moving around, even with all the colors. What mattered is that Galeem couldn't get them so easily than he anticipated.

"Urgh, seeing all those colors all across my beloved battlefield is making me WANT to just crush you in my grasp." Galeem growled, clenching his wing like a fist.

"Try and catch us if you can Galeem! Bet you can't!" Redd teased, diving into his own ink puddle in squid form. Everyone did the same, while Aaliyah joined in with Caleb.

"Hmph. Perhaps I shall." Galeem snickered. His wings fly high up in the air, and his core circles around. And soon, up above, everyone could see Galeem's wings turning into spiky pillars that were about to smash down right onto them.

The spiky wings spin quickly, glow once, then drill down at a very fast speed, cutting right through the stage without breaking it apart. Everyone yelped, as they were all cut off guard by the speed of the attack, launching them all up.

"Grah ha ha! Didn't expect that, now did you?" Galeem laughed as everyone gets up from the pain. They felt a few bruises from the sharpness of how that felt.

"We won't... give up!" Caleb shouted.

"Get him!" Marie demanded as the wings around Galeem come back in their normal form. Their ambush attacks continue from there, and Galeem could only shake it off.

"I have a feeling it's not doing anything!" Sonic cried. They even tried to use Splat Bombs and much more to attack Galeem with. But even that wasn't enough. It did a little more than the ink shots, but it was still a little amount of damage on the light god.

"There's gotta be something we can do...!" Aaliyah implied. And just as they said that, Galeem teleports near the edge Marie was at, forcing her to land a quick snipe off him. Galeem just stares at Marie as he rubs the near top of his core.

Then his wings form into a pattern that looked like it was summoning a giant orb. And granted... that's exactly what happened.

A large, blue electrical orb forms in the large, open circle around the wings. Everyone stood back from what was about to happen. But one thing they did know: it was NOT good.

"Hyah!" Galeem grunts as he shoots out the orb at the center of the stage. It stopped at the center, and another part of his wings begin to... cut the orb up. Was that even possible?

...

Yes.

The giant orb was split up into four smaller blue electric orbs, in similar positions that were farther away from the platforms. As Galeem's wings go back to their normal formation, the orbs began to scatter and find a target to be launched at.

The group yelp and scream, barely dodging the orbs that were after them.

"There's no point in resisting the lights temptations, mortal creatures," Galeem said, "Just give up. My power is too much for you to handle. It's obvious to see, is it not?"

"We'll never give up!" Flint shouted.

"You'll never take Inkopolis away from us!" Redd raised his fist as he spoke. The attacks from the group continue to commence, but Galeem was still unamused.

"Even after all this, you still aim to fight back? You all are very stubborn." He groaned. Teleporting around, they continue to chase and attack him. Aaliyah still stood back, nervous from what Galeem was going to bring into the mix.

After another 30 seconds of the teasing teleporting, Galeem starts his next attack. He duplicates his core to create two more around this first one. Then they spin around as they shoot out small spheres of light.

They all took note of this upon seeing it. Sonic, of course, being one of the first, as he is experienced with all of Galeem's moves from playing the story mode in Smash Ultimate. The orbs were fast, but not fast enough.

Flint also felt safe, as his spirit ability allowed his to automatically reflect projectiles. So he just stood there when some of the orbs aimed for him, and they launched right back at Galeem.

Once his spinning attack ended, some of the reflected orbs landed on the light god's core, and he could feel it graze against him.

"Urk!" He winced slightly. He glares at Flint, and the orange Inkling could see this due to the small glow from part of Galeem's core. Galeem quickly floats up to Flint and slams his wings down.

"So... it is true," The Lord of Light stated, "You found some blank spirits made by the clone I made of Sonic. Yet they still have extra perks for you all. And yet you're trying to use them against me? That seems counterproductive against someone like me."

"No, you're wrong, Galeem!" Callie exclaimed, pointing at the light god's core.

"Yeah! These spirits will give us immense power to defeat you! You may keep hitting us constantly, but we'll put you down soon!" Caleb tagged along.

"Think you have a chance against us now? Huh?" Redd teased, smirking. Galeem face palms, annoyed after hearing everything that they had to say.

"You misunderstand in every single capacity..." He said.

"Get him!" Sonic yelped. And thus, the attacking continues. It still felt like none of the attacks were working on him. Well, he did claim that he is unstoppable with the amount of light that covered Inkopolis Square.

"Okay, I'm afraid this is enough warming up. Time for this to end!" Galeem exclaimed. He teleports away, and this time, appears so high up in the air where no one can reach him, even with some powerful super jumping.

The background turned a little darker yellow. Everyone looked around for what was about to happen. And what they saw coming made their eyes widen in horror. Two light waves. One on the top, and one on the bottom.

"Light waaaaaves!" Marie screamed.

"Eep!" Aaliyah yelps before super jumping as a way to avoid them. But even that proved useless. The waves went up and down, and oscillate around to change directions each time, catching everyone off guard.

This attack was painful. They could barely breathe, and they felt some marks appearing on them from the sheer burns that they were getting. Several seconds pass by just from this simple attack.

And once it went away, everyone lays down on the floor, recovering from the slight burns they were experiencing. Galeem appears near the right edge, starting his electric orb attack.

It went by as usual, with the orb appearing in the middle. However, when Galeem cuts it to make smaller versions of the electric orb, it cuts into six small orbs instead of four like last time.

They even stopped in a more sporadic patter, stopping near the middle all huddled up after moving to find a target. Then, a second later, they unleash at their intended victims. And they all got hit from that, considering that they would barely react after the last attack.

However, they didn't seem too injured. They still went by and attacked Galeem some more, some of them even letting out a loud battle cry to unleash their inner demons to fight back.

"Grah ha ha... you still fight back? You're more persistent than I imagined," Galeem commented, "That wasn't even a warm-up any more, and you're still standing. You all may try to get your precious Inkopolis back, but this is the end of the line for you. Your demise awaits, creeping up on you."

The Lord of Light teleports to the middle, and summons his wings to be in a U-shaped form. Some of them went away, but the big ones appeared under the light god's core.

"Let's see how you do against my Lens Flares!" Galeem shouted. Four small yellow eyeballs appeared, and they all glow blue in the middle. These blue glows unleash energy rings one at a time, and they were reaching throughout the large stage, with no way of avoiding it.

Unfortunately, everyone still got hit by it. The group cried out in pain as the rings sent them launching all around. Not even Sonic was safe from it, as he knew despite everything he knew, he couldn't bring himself to find a way to dodge one of Galeem's strongest attacks.

The bruises and blood marks were much easier to see. They were hit bad. And to add insult to injury, Galeem starts his Cross Bombs attack again. This time, there were six of them, and they all exploded much faster.

The idols barely dodge everything incoming, while the others couldn't. The explosions from each of the individual bombs left them a lot of damage on their fragile bodies.

"O-Ow..." Mia winced as she holds her left arm with her right. Redd slowly gets up as his knees wobble, while Chany, Flint and Caleb huddle together for a group attack. Poor Aaliyah was on the verge of crying due to how much all these attacks hurt.

"I cannot allow any of you to make it even further. You really want to die trying to defeat me?" Galeem taunted, crossing his wings again.

"We won't... give up..." Marina panted.

"The only one going down is going to be YOU. Your power has NOTHING against us." Pearl snapped, pointing at the Lord of Light.

"Our power together isn't only with these spirits... but our friendship as well. Something you would never understand." Caleb growled. Galeem tilts his core in curiosity.

"Friendship? Psh, please. It's all just a superstition," He sighed, "It's not like you can stop me all alone even if you did become friends or not, but it'd be cute to watch any of you try."

"We're not done with you yet, though!" Chany exclaimed, getting the first attack in, while the others joined in.

"Ugh... fine. You all asked for this. Try to fight back against my Heat Seeker!" Galeem yelled. He teleports to the top, and his wings form into a giant circle that leaves open a small, open hole. And this time, a big yellow ball is shaped from it.

"Eek! Run!" Sonic shouts in fear. The others retreated back with the blue Inkling as the yellow ball pops out, following the Agents all together. It didn't hit any of them, but it did land on the ground during its chase.

The background turns a little orange as this yellow ball... explodes. The explosion radius gets bigger as Galeem starts his next attack, returning with the Drill Pierce attack again.

The explosion goes away, and the sky turns back to its normal shade again. But unfortunately, the wing pillars were rapidly drilling down one at a time. There were more of them, and it looked like they were going faster. This time, the idols were the ones who got badly hit from that.

But Galeem went for a second around, teasing everyone by having his core float around. No one was left without a scratch, except for Aaliyah, who barely dodges each and everyone one of those drills.

"You may be stubborn, but if I may taunt some more, you just can't handle it but admit you're dumb you are, huh?" Galeem snarked, "I mean, you brought a pacifist to a death fight, basically. Shouldn't any of you be ashamed you would bring your friend into the mix like this?"

"Hey, leave Aaliyah out of this!" Sonic shouted, "We needed her held, and she opted to join in with the spirits chosen for her! We were going to banish you away with her help! We didn't deliberately force her to fight! We didn't even expect it, after all!"

"Sonic..." Aaliyah muttered.

"It's none of your business to mess with our friends like that anyway!" Callie yelled, dashing right into Galeem's core and causing little damage to him, due to the spirit's extra ability. More attacks take place, and they continued chasing Galeem as he teleports constantly.

"You are all foolish to think you can survive THE LIGHT! This city is MINE! And there is no taking it back!" The Lord of Light growled. He duplicates his core twice again to start up his Optic Orb move.

His cores spun around faster this time, and there were more orbs that launched all together this time. And they were moving faster. But this attack was one that the Agents can handle avoiding for now. Even Flint would reflect the orbs some more, but Galeem was much prepared for this, and just grunts as it did a number on him.

Once Galeem stops that attack, his wings goes away as the ring appears around him this time. Unleashing his attack, the group stood in fear as another round of Laser Net was about to commence.

"Commence the end of this 'ultimate fight!'" The light god exclaimed. The purple lines came about, and there were way more of them, and barely any room for a gap that is easy to avoid. So, with this, they decided to hide in their ink puddles when the attack lands, leaving them all unhurt.

Unfortunately, Galeem saw this coming. He started another round of the same attack, with dozens and DOZENS of more lines. Most of which aimed for the puddles they were all hiding in.

The screams of pain from the Agents filled the air as they felt those energy-filled lines leave them badly injured as a result.

"What? You didn't expect me to realize that, did you?" Galeem snickered.

"Galeem... y-you... you can't do this..." Sonic panted as he stood on one knee, about to attack Galeem while in a weakened position. But Galeem wasn't gonna allow the injured Sonic to do any more harm to him, even though the attacks barely did anything on him.

"It's over, Sonic. You lost," Galeem interupted, "You think just because you can predict the future and recognize my attacks that I can't find a way to beat you all down once and for all? No. It's because I'm a god, Sonic. With all this light in Smash and Inkopolis, I have become an unstoppable being. There's nothing you can do to stop me."

He teleports away, and the light waves returned once again, about to crush the Agents and force them in a wild ride again.

"Oh carp..." Mia uttered. Everyone cried out "No!" as they tried to get up to avoid it, but it was useless, as this was still in a sporadic and unpredictable pattern that leaves everyone getting even more injured than they already were originally.

Once the waves crashed down again, the group was too weak to get up. Tons of bruises were scattered all around them, and there was even a couple tiny marks on their clothing. Aaliyah was crying as Chany, Mia and Caleb stopped by to comfort her. The idols were unconscious, Flint couldn't get up, and Redd and Sonic looked up at Galeem with an angry look, despite their current state.

Galeem stared at the Agents, with an evil look that can be felt through his core.

"Grah ha ha! Some of you still stand? Ha, not to worry! This'll all end soon, and you'll be working for me for the rest of your life alongside dozens of puppets... of yourselves!" Galeem taunted. His wings became bigger circles huddled around his core. Then his core disappears as the wing rings reach outwards until they weren't seen.

Then, what just spawned in was a bunch of puppets that Galeem created out of thin air. And they all resembled each of the Agents present right now! How was this even possible for Galeem to make something so fast like that?

Galeem returns once again as his wings turn spiky, and he points at the weakened group.

"Seize them!" He commanded. The puppets obeyed the god's orders, and ran up to attack the Agents, who braced themselves for the finisher Galeem was about to put on them...

...Only for a powerful electric force to shake things up and get rid of all the clones in one hit. The group wasn't affected by this electrical jolt, but Galeem felt it big time.

"Guhh!" He cried out, his wings formed in an uncomfortable position. The sky fell away, and the Final Destination disappeared. They were all back at the Fearical Dome as if nothing ever happened. Turns out, this battle was a hallucination Galeem put in to give himself a bigger advantage.

"Oh my god!" A voice yelled. Galeem recognized it, and turned over to the front of the group. There, he saw that Master Hand and Crazy Hand were there. Crazy was the one who spoke, and got Galeem's attention.

"Phew, we arrived just in time..." Master Hand sighed in relief, lowering himself to offer some healing energy to the weakened Inklings and Octolings. Crazy hand did the same to increase the restoration.

The bruises didn't go away, but everyone was okay to the point they can move and fight again. The idols were no longer unconscious, and they, along with the rest of the Agents, groaned as they sat up, confused on why they were back at Galeem's hideout.

Galeem quickly recovered from the attack, staring at everyone. He gives off a develish smile vibe, as he knew that Master and Crazy Hand were about to arrive and save the injured Agents.

His wings form around in their normal position, and then lets out a quiet laugh that soon becomes louder to grab the group's attention quickly.

"Grah ha ha... grah ha ha ha ha ha!"
