Whoa, where am I?, Starpaw thought. The sent of herbs filled her nose. The Medicine Cat Den of course. She spotted Grassheart, the Medicine Cat, mixing herbs. "W-What happened", she asked him, "Why am I in the Medicine Cat Den?".
"You fainted", Grassheart said, but Starpaw could tell he was holding something back. "What really happened", she persisteds.
"I, uh, you fainted that's all", Grassheart said uncomfortably. "Tell me", Silverpaw hissed.
"Fine!", Grassheart said. "There was a flash of white light and..."
A flash of white light blinded every cat in camp, Grassheart crouched down, ever hair on his pelt stood up. As the light cleared, Silverpaw was floating, here eyes pupil less. And a voice like nothing Grassheart had ever heard before spoke from Starpaw's mouth.
"The power of HeavenClan rests on one. The one will face the battle that is coming. The power of HeavenClan rests on one."
Starpaw collapsed, and Grassheart rushed to her side. "Irispaw!", he called, "Help me move her to the Den". Irispaw nodded and helped move her to the Den.
"And so here we are now", Grassheart finished, "You didn't sit your vigil, though Peachpaw did". "Holy stars", Starpaw said, "I've been unconscious for an entire day?. Grassheart nodded, "Lichenstar said that you'll do your vigil tomorrow".
"Er, why tomorrrow", Starpaw asked, "Why not tomorrow?". "Because the Gatherings' tonight, and Lichenstar specifically said that you were going". "Um, okay", Starpaw said.
"I'm okay, can I leave and start training?", Starpaw asked. Grassheart gave her one more check before letting her go, "Tell Shimmerpelt not to go hard on you". "I'm fine!", Starpaw insisted. Grassheart ignored her. Irispaw came to Starpaw and whispered, "He's kind of stubborn so I wouldn't push". Starpaw nodded and left the den.
"Are you okay?", Peachpaw asked, eyeing her warily. "I'll be okay", Starpaw reasurred her.
"Shimmerpelt is waiting for you at the entrance of Camp", Lunartail said, standing next to her Apprentice, "She said to come when you feel better, or if you'd like to take the day off, she said that'll be okay to". "I'm going" Starpaw said, Lunartail nodded and she and Peachpaw went off.
"There you are", Shimmerpelt said, "I hope Lunartail gave you my message". "She did", Starpaw said, "And I feel fine, although Grasshear told me to tell you that I need to go easy for training".
Shimmerpelt's eyes twinkled, "There's no getting out of it when Grasshearts' on the other end of it, quite stubborn that one". She laughed, "Come, I'll try to show you the territory before dusk". Starpaw nodded and followed her Mentor out of camp
