All of the countermeasures to Calamity Ganon were in place- except one. The Princess had not yet awakened her sealing power. In hopes of preventing her kingdom's destruction, Zelda resolved to train at the Spring of Wisdom. Souls younger than 17 were forbidden from setting foot on Mount Lanaryu, where the Spring of Wisdom lay, as they lacked the springs namesake. Zelda made plans with the heroes to ascend as soon as she was of age.

Knowing that this would be the day of Calamity Ganon's revival, King Rhoam ordered his people to evacuate. He deployed the four Divine Beasts to quell the horrors of the Calamity until Zelda returned…

Inside of the Ancient Tech Lab, the little guardian looked up at Robbie.

"I've finished my pain staking analysis! Oh yeah!" Robbie said.

"Yeah, yeah. We're all very impressed. What did you find?" Purah said. They looked at the images with shock. "Is this…" she said before they had blades close to their throats.

"Do not move." said a Yiga footsoldier.

"I was too careless. This is bad." Robbie said.

"Hmm...go!" Purah said, tossing the slate as the little guardian grabbed onto it and ran off with it.

Back with the group, they were just leaving with Zelda.

"So many are waiting for my inner power. This is my last chance." Zelda said.

"Princess, it'll all work out." Impa said.

"Yeah...it'll be fine. We'll just work it out at the Spring of Wisdom." Miles said before they saw the little guardian approach them with the slate.

"The slate?" Miu said. "Something must have happened at the lab." she said as they all felt the ground shake.

"Oh no… Don't tell me." Cheetah said.

"No mistaking it." Sanji said as they turned around to see the mass of darkness surrounding the castle.

"The Calamity's here." Raine said.

"This soon too?" Adora said.

"This is not good. We need to get out of here, now." Cheetah said.

"That's right. We can't just…" Tails said as they saw some of the Guardians starting to move.

"The Calamity's corrupted the guardians." Entrapta said.

"Don't worry about taking them out. Cut off their legs and run." Leopardmon said.

"Right!" Flamberge said as they did just that, cutting the guardians legs and using this chance to run.

"The Calamity…" Freyja said, seeing it happen. "We did everything better and it still came…"

"...I won't stand for it." Siege said, trying to think of some way out of this situation, but was coming up with blanks.

"Wallow in your regrets after we get out, damn it. We won't change anything if we're dead." David said.

"Well we can't just let it happen!" Siege said. "Is there any damn thing we can do!?"

"We're not, and of course there is!" Mark said. "Even if the solution isn't clear now, no matter what, there's always a way to succeed! If there wasn't, we'd all be dead long before now."

"There's no time to waste… We need to find the king, and ensure that we can prepare for this situation…" Gus remarked. "The castle...He must be there, if he's still fighting against the enemy…!"

"He's probably still in the throne room. But...we should probably leave him to fight. He would have wanted us to escape with his daughter." Hera said.

"She's right. Right now, all we can do is escape." Cheetah said.

"She's right. In moments, the castle will be entirely overrun with monsters. We'll take the path and escape." Riku said as they went and did so.

"Damnit… okay, let's go." Siege said, following after the group, and Freyja not far behind.

"We're almost out of the castle's range. We're almost…" Lea said as the ground shook as rising from it were five large slabs as emerging from them were multiple guardians. "Those slabs are cranking them out like mass production factories."

"No…" Zelda said in shock as they looked back at the castle as flying around was a large boar shaped cloud as it gave a monstrous roar.

"So is that…" Asta asked.

"Calamity Ganon." Jexi said.

"Oh damn… Seeing him up close like this is making all of my hair stand up." David said.

"Just as fearsome as I remember…" Siege mumbled. "It happened yet again, I still couldn't stop it…!"

"Couldn't stop it. You're acting like you've been through this before." Jexi said.

"Save that for later." David said.

"David's right. We need to get out of here some other way." Siege said.

They continued to run farther and farther away from the castle and the castle town until they reached Hyrule Field.

"This should be far enough that we won't be picked up by the Guardians." Entrapta said.

"Well, yeah… But despite all of our resources, it was still able to come to pass." Raine said.

"Hahaha… yeah… yeah, brings back real fine memories." Siege muttered with a heavy sarcastic laugh.

"Siege, seriously. I get enough of that from Emo." David said, a little miffed.

The little guardian then made a few whistles, to attract the attention of the heroes towards the Sheikah Slate, as it showed the picture of the corrupted Divine Beasts.

"...No…" Sanae breathed.

"It's a lot more serious." Tails said showing the slate. "This shows the moments when Ganon's four blights take control of the Divine Beasts."

"I guess… I guess it was foolish to think that we could change this outcome." Cheetah said.

"Don't say that, Cheetah! We've all been doing so well under your direction so far." David said.

"And it's not over until we say it's over. We can't give up now!" Hope said.

"Easy for you to say. But… I just don't have the strength to defy fate like Ishihara does." Cheetah said before holding David's throat. "Ishihara… When you meet Nanami in the afterlife, I want you to tell her that the time we freed her from Dr. Maddiman was one of the best moments in my life. I had so many good memories travelling with you all, but I want you to send my deepest apologies that it was all for nothing…"

"You know… You can actually tell her all of that yourself." David said.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Cheetah asked, loosening her grip.

"I don't know if you noticed, but… Chiaki came around and has made a full recovery." David said.

"Yeah. She saved us back in Paris." Francisca said. "She's completely revived."

"You saved her, Cheetah. Her fate was changed because of you." David said.

"Well...yeah. You played a part in finding her." Hope said. "She was saved because you went and found her."

"Really?" Cheetah asked. "I… I'm so glad. Just knowing that she's alive and well now really is good news to hear."

"And that's why we have to get through this. So that you two can have a moment on that to yourselves." Zamazenta said.

"Perhaps...but...it seems pretty hopeless. All of Hyrule… my friends… even my own father...! It's my fault…!" Zelda said as she cried on the little guardian. A light then emerged from it as it fired right into the air as it gave a loud whistle.

"The heck was…" Leopardmon said as he looked off to see Vah Medoh. "It's not fully corrupted yet. There's still a chance to turn things around."

"That's right, there's still hope." Richard interjected. "It's not been long since the Calamity started, and from recent news from them, they're still in top shape… If we can rush to their aid, we can avert their deaths completely. However, we can't waste time. We need to find a way to quickly reach the Champions."

"Yeah…" Cheetah said. "Let's go." she said standing up. "Calamity Ganon may be back...but that doesn't mean we can't defeat it."

"But with the towers down, we can't split up. We'll have to hoof it on foot. Will we even make it in time?" Marco asked.

"...We'll make it. I know we will." Cheetah said.

"Alright, then, Cheetah. Where should we go? West or East?" David asked.

"We need to help Mipha and Daruk first. Then Urbosa and Revali." Cheetah said.

"East it is." David said.

"Yes, now let's move out!" Cheetah said.
