Chapter 7s2: Me and the boys (part 1)

After a short while Balto reached edge of town of Nome. It was nice afternoon of snowy day. Baltos mind was fun of thoughts about hes childhood, hes sisters and mother, he still feel really guilty deep inside even though he isnt showing this, but he knows that Dallas will find out that something is wrong quickly. "Dame Balto clear your mind...- Balto said to himself - You dont want to affect boys time with your problems." He take a deep breath and focused on good side of all what happend.

Balto took main alley to meet Dallas near Nome's Police station. As he got to place he sat and wait, waiting for Dallas and Kaltag. Balto looked at the windows of police station, he jumped on barrels to look inside. "Hmm looks like hes still somewhere in there." Balto said to himself watching main entrance room. Dallas is police dog, he loves hes job. Hes created to this job, just like hes owner. Even though Dallas is police dog he lives with hes partner and owner in their home, what gives Dallas opportunity to be on duty even longer than hes work place requires. Dallas' owner, Steven not that long ago started to deal with homeless dogs of Nome, he takes some to hes place takes care of them, he cleans them and makes ready to find a new home for them, Dallas got involved in this idea really fast. Balto knew a lots of this because Dallas tried to convince Balto to this but Balto refused saying that hes happy the way he lives.

Balto keep staring through window. "What are we looking for?" A friendly voice said from Baltos side. Balto looked at Dallas staring inside too, and smiled. "Looks like someone's in mood today" Balto said looking at hes friend. "Indeed I am" Dallas answered and went back to hes fours. "Haven't heard you coming, youre really sneeky." Balto said, jumping off barrel. "Thats what im trained for." Dallas said. "Yeah, you know where's Kaltag? He should be here already..." Balto said. "Actually i told him we will meet hem at hes place." Dal said. "Oh okay - Balto said as they started walking - Does he still lives in that backstreet near hospital?" "Yes he does, and thats the case, we cant let him live in place like this... he sleeps in pile of planks scrap and other things. You at least have proper roof. Im not happy about that anyway.." Dallas said interpreted. "Dal we talked about that, im staying where i do belong, focuss on Kaltag." Balto said. "I only want you to help me convince him to take part in my owner's project of finding homes for dogs." Dallas said showing that hes worried about Kaltag. "Okey okey ill try to , he deserves better place to live." Balto answerd. "Good, he still says no because he feel guilty for standing on Steele's side in past." They reached the Hospital and went into backstreet.

"Kaltag where are you?" Balto said, then some sounds from between garbage cans were heard. "Yep im here, gimme moment" Kaltag said, Balto looked around noticing whta Kaltag calls 'hes place', he looked at Dal who made face saying 'told ya'. Kaltag emerged from between garbage cans. "I have some news, they're not too good." Kaltag said. "What exactly?" Balto asked. "Steele was seen around town, still in that collar of hes,but now hes no looking as impressive as he did in past. Hes angry and hungry. I heard hes wondering around backstreets looking for food." Kaltag said as he started scratching himself probably because of fleas. "Thats not good, last time he was around he attacked some kid with sandwich or so." Dallas said. "Thats why im telling you that Dal." Kaltag answered. "Ill keep that in mind, and look for him later." As Dallas said this Balto looked at him. "Do you even sleep sometimes?" Balto said with bit of laugh. "Sometimes that happens." He laugh in answer. "Ah freaking.." Kaltag started scratching again. "You alright? - Balto asked - looks like you have fleas.." "I might have some, sorry guys cant hrlp about this." Kaltag said. "You see Kaltag thats why im offering you help. Let me hrlp you by founding you home." Dal offered. "Nah im doing well myself, just like Balto. - Balto wasn't looking happy about that - anyway who would take a dog like me, I font want to be dog of old people, and i wouldn't feel good living with children, i mean.. i might do want to.. but i cant." Kaltag said sitting infront of hes friends. "Why do you keep saying so, kids love dogs." Balto said. "Its not about if they love or not, its about what I did, because of listening to Steele we nearly hvent brought medicine to town. I was one of those who listened to him." Kaltag said. "You did, but you changed sides in good moment. You were on right side." Balto said to cheer hes friend. "Yea you right .. I just dont want to live boring life with old people i would prefer some youngster, but most of those have their dogs already." Kaltag said. "You should have told me that earlier, i know how to suggest things to humans, especially my owner. If you agree to take part in project i promise we will find a place for you." Dallas said enthusiastically waging hes tail. "Okay I agree." Kaltag said with smal smile on hes face seeing how happy Dal is.

You will find out more about Angela, and mostly about Lisa and Daro in soon upcoming chapter, which will focus on Lisa and Jenna talks and spending time. What about Damis son and Daro's brother- Helles, as part of hes name says he was like walking hell. What about Jenna and Lisa bond, theyre females surrounded by boys, they have to talk a lot about everything even tho they dont know ech others too well.
