ICE77 You've been cracking me up with your reviews. I'm still here I promise. BTW thanks for showing love in the world according to Teddy. I will update that story along with this one.

Stunned.

Carrick and Elliott were in shock. After Christian relayed everything that happened, including who Ana was they looked as if a feather could knock the both of them over. After a moment, Carrick spoke.

"Son. You have to know. I had no idea about Jack. I mean, I dated his mother back in college, but when I met your mother I broke it off. I ended things right with her. Had I known," Carrick said only to stop himself. Elliott leaned over.

"You wouldn't have married mom?" Elliott asked quietly. Carrick shook his head.

"No. I still would have married your mother, but I would have taken care of my son. You boys know how I feel about responsibility and owning up to your actions. I am no different." And Christian knew this. That was why he admired his father so much. He liked that he always helped people, and whenever he was wrong he said it. It was why he was such a great pack leader and why, when he stepped down, the people were saddened.

"When will you tell mom?" Elliott asked.

"Tonight. She needs to hear it from me. But your mother will have sympathy for Jack. Even though what he's done is wrong. The law-"

"I know the law," Christian said quietly. Carrick's gaze studied his son. He saw his nostrils flare and Carrick's eyes widened in surprise.

"You want to kill him," he said in a statement. Christian locked his gaze with his father before nodding.

"Yes. He has threatened my son. He will be a threat to Ana. Seer or not, she is now under my protection. I cannot have him running around killing and trying to convince other packs to make him their leader."

Carrick sighed before running a hand over his face.

"You are right of course, but this is going to cause a huge issue with the council. We will have to meet to fix it quietly and quickly."

"I called Jasper and told him we may need to have an emergency meeting," Elliott said. Christian and Carrick both raised their brows in surprise. Elliott only rolled his eyes.

"What?" he barked out. Carrick chuckled.

"I didn't know you even knew how the pack organization worked son," he said amusement in his eyes. Christian chuckled.

"Just because Christian is alpha, you raised us both to know what everything was. And I am the next in line should Christian be completely incompetent," Elliott said flashing a wide grin at his brother. Christian's eyes narrowed.

"You wish. No one could be as terrible as you."

Carrick rolled his eyes at both of his always-bickering sons before standing.

"Not that this hasn't been fun, but I'm going to head to pick up your mother from the hospital. I want to take her to dinner before I let her know."

"Ah. Do you want to spring some good on her before you ruin her night? Good plan," Elliott said cheekily. Carrick leaned over and slapped his son's head.

"Shut up Elliott."

Christian outright laughed at that before standing.

"I should go. I have to tell Ana about the recent updates."
Before he could leave, Christian was stopped by Carrick.

"She's a seer? And from the line of guardians? Has she committed to this pack?" Carrick asked casually. Christian turned to look at Carrick and Elliott. The men's faces were open, but Christian could sense the underlying tension in their stance.

"What are you implying?"

Carrick sighed. "Christian, I really like Ana. I think she is good for this family. I just want to make sure you know the repercussions if she were to go against us. She is a seer and a guardian. That holds a lot of weight. Seers have always held power, but when paired with a guardian? That power is unstoppable. I just want to make sure she is a friend and not an enemy."

Christian could tell his father was being honest and so he relaxed his body. The other two men followed suit.

"She is. Ana told me herself that she loves Teddy and she wanted to be honest with me so that I could see I had no hidden agenda with her."

Carrick nodded, relief in his eyes.

"Good. I'm glad, son. Her father-"

"Is a guardian. He will be here sometime next week. He called before I left, and apparently, there was some important business he had to see through."

"Very well. After you've met him, I would like Ana and her father to come to a sit-down family dinner. It's time we all were together."

"I agree," Christian said. He looked at Elliott who was grinning madly. Exasperated he crossed his arms.

"What?" he said to his brother. Elliott shrugged.

"Oh, nothing. I'm just wondering if having sex with Ana is like doing it with Tinkerbell but on crack. But Tinkerbell never had sex with a werewolf." Christian's eyes flared a dangerous yellow before he spoke.

"You have ten seconds Elliott."

Turning to his amused father Elliott saluted him.

"Text me when you plan the family get together pops. I'm taking Kate so-"

"Yes, son."

Elliott ran out of the meeting room at the campgrounds knowing he really needed to floor it in his truck or Christian was going to beat the crap out of him.

"Ana, does your skin get hot when it's shiny like that?"

Currently, Teddy and Ana were sitting on the floor putting together a puzzle piece. They were waiting for the Chinese food for dinner after Teddy and Jason ran around like crazy little boys all day in the backyard. The school was tomorrow, and the house had to get ready for the week, so Ana thought it best for them to just order out instead of making food. Ana hadn't really left the house, and since everyone here was supernatural, she knew it was no big deal to conceal her skin. She had no idea that she was doing it now.

"Oh, no. It feels like nothing, actually."

Teddy paused before looking up at her. His nose was scrunched up.

"Really?"

She giggled.

"Yes, sweetie. When something is apart of you, it's natural. Do you understand?" Teddy nodded after a moment.

"I think so. It's like my hair."

"Your hair?" Ana asked confused. Teddy looked back down at his puzzle.

"Yeah, my hair. It's there, but I can't really feel it. But I know it. Except for sometimes when it gets in my face."

Ana laughed outright at his explanation before leaning over and kissing his cheek.

"That is exactly it, Teddy. Aren't you just the smartest boy?"

Teddy beamed at that before going back to his puzzle. Ana heard the doorbell and was about to shout that the food was there, but then she sensed something else. Something a bit dark, and cold. Determined to not show any emotion on her face she put up an invisible sound shield. It was the only way she could talk to Teddy without the other person on the other side of the door hearing. And judging by the presence, she knew it was a supernatural being.

"Teddy. Go upstairs and read your books. I put them on the bed." Ana was getting Teddy a change of clothes earlier today when he and Jason decided it would be fun to roll around near the muddy grass at the edge of the property when she felt this need to set out books for him. She had no idea that it was related to this, but whenever her other side told her to do something, she just did it, no questions asked. She saw many a woman perish from not following what had been programmed in them to do.

Teddy groaned aloud.

"Do I have to?"

She nodded before kissing his cheek.

"Yes. It's the only way for you to get ice cream after dinner."
Teddy's eyes widened in delight and he whooped before standing.

"Read quietly, and I will come to get you when it's time to come eat dinner. Deal?"

"Deal," Teddy said before giggling when she tickled him. She patted his leg when he stood and pushed him gently towards the stairs.

"Up you go."

"Okay!"

The boy ran furiously, and when she heard the door slam shut she quickly said something under her breath that would keep his door locked and sound-proof. Only she would be able to enter the room.

Squaring her shoulders, Ana put away her shimmering skin and assessed the sounds coming from outside. When the doorbell rang for the third time she opened it and was surprised to see a very good-looking blonde man.

"Hello. How can I help you?" She asked. The man looked a bit taken aback before he shoved his hands in his jean pockets.

"Oh, good evening ma'am. I'm sorry to disturb you but I'm here looking for Mr. Grey? Some of the people over in town he'd be here." Ana was sure that if she didn't have her senses or her gifts, she would've thought the person standing in front of her was harmless. But that danger sign blinking in her mind's eye had her skin vibrating.

"I'm sorry, he's not in right now. I am one of the members of his staff. I can take a name if you'd like?" Ana said posing it as a question. The man nodded, offering her a smile.

"Yeah, tell Mr. Grey that Jack stopped by. I do have a message though."

"Sure."

"Tell him that I will be returning for what Leila gave away. He should know what that means." Ana's heart was caught in her throat, but she made sure to keep her voice even and her heart rate down. She knew it was the first thing wolves could sense.

"I will do that."

Ana saw the man tilt his head a bit before looking at her.

"What did you say your name was?"

Ana knew he was trying to figure out what she was. But, with her skills, she knew all he would smell was that she was human.

"Oh, Ana. I was hired from New York. It's much quieter here, and it gives me time to write you know," she said as an afterthought. Ana watched as he was silently trying to see if she was human. Ana made herself stumble a bit, before faking a laugh.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I can be so clumsy."

Jack shook his head before offering her another smile.

"Oh, that's fine. Have a good evening."

Jack stepped back and turned away. It wasn't until he drove away that she knew there was some big trouble coming. And Christian needed to act fast.
