Chapter 14: Free

After the whole Beck thing, some guy called Happy help us back to Queens, Peter explained the whole situation to his Aunt and when she knew all the truth May just walked up to me and gave me the biggest hug, I cried when she did that, it was a long time since I felt a caring close to what my mother make me feel when I was little.

The day after our arrival, May and Peter helped grab the things from the apartment I was living while I was in Queens for Beck's plan, we took the things back to their apartment and I realize that in the trip I left my suitcase which lead me to a big freak out because I had in there my mom's jewelry box with the necklaces, but Peter made some calls and found out that MJ actually grabbed my stuff and she was giving to me on Monday at school, which made me feel better and I calm down.

It was weird the fact that I was feeling everything again, but not everything was over, I still had the bracelets...no...I decided to stop calling them that...they are shackles, I still had the them on, but Peter with the help of Happy found someone that could help us, Dr. Bruce Banner aka. Hulk.

"These bracelets-" - started to say Dr. Banner

"Shackles...these are shackles" - I interrupted

"These shackles are very high tech...but don't worry we will help you out of them in no time" - stated Dr. Banner with a smile which even he was trying to be warm, it was intimidating on his big form as The Hulk

"So you can help taking them off?" - asked Peter

"Yeah, but I need your help" - said Dr. Banner

"My help?" - asked Peter surprised

"Yeah, you are a very smart kid for what I been told Mr. Parker" - said Dr. Banner

"Thanks" - said Peter with a smile

"Well, let's get to work" - said Dr. Banner

"Ok" - said Peter and then turned to me - "everything is gonna be alright Zig, we will get you out of those" - said Peter

"Peter, there is something you should know and you should take advantage while you are working on my shackles with Dr. Banner" - I said

"What is it?" - asked Peter

"Beck filmed some kind of video or something like that during the attack, his crew escaped maybe they still have the video, he told me that they were gonna release it to make you look like everything that happened was your fault" - I explain

"What?" - asked Peter looking stressed

"Use the tracker from the shackles, maybe you and Dr. Banner can find a way to use it and find them, delete the data of whatever video they have and send the coordinates to where they are to Nick Fury or something so they can catch them" - I add

"Wow..." - said Peter

"What?" - I ask confused

"You are so...smart...before you were so quiet and...I didn't realize" - said Peter looking at me in awe

"Well, I learn a thing or two around Beck...I'm not smart...but...I guess I don't need to be so quiet anymore" - I said as he smiled and grabbed my hands

"Peter!" - called out Dr. Banner

"Coming" - said Peter walking to where Bruce was pulling me with him

We spend hours, they were going through the computers, they scanned my shackles to make a 3D copy of them so they could run some tests without possibly hurt me, I fall sleep leaning on one of the tables, I just stir a little when I felt someone putting a blanket over me which I was glad because the lab is cold.

"Zig...Zig" - called out Peter shaking me

"What?" - I asked confused

"Wake up, time to take those off" - said Peter

"Really?" - I asked as I jolted up from my seat

"Yeah, come on" - said Peter taking my hand walking me to where Dr. Banner was sitting and I sat me in front of him

"Ok, are you ready kid? This might sting a little" - said Dr. Banner

"I'm ready" - I said

"Well, then extend your arm" - said Dr. Banner

I extended my arm while he grabbed this two things that looked like pens with a little needle at the end, he press them at the left and right of the shackle, he pressed a button on the top of the things, again like just like a pen, this send a wave of electricity around the shackle and it sting but not as bad as the typical shocks from them, suddenly I watched an energy going in between what I think are the circuits of the shackle and then it make a clicking sound, he pull the "pens" out making the shackle fall.

"Oh my god" - I said looking at my arm completely free and I felt so relieved while looking at my wrist in awe

"Ok, that's one, let's do the other" - said Dr. Banner and I nodded and he repeated the same process with the other and it popped open as well - "well, there you go kid, you are done" - he said smiling at me before grabbing the shackles from the ground

"Oh...Zig..." - said Peter grabbing my hands inspecting my wrists

Peter was looking at me worried, I didn't notice my wrists when the shackles popped out of my arms, but now that he was looking at them with me, I notice my wrists had burned skin, they were heal but I had permanent scars for the looks of it.

"Maybe we can call a doctor that could help you, I can call Happy and ask him-" - started to say Peter

"No" - I sand interrupting Peter - "This is a reminder of everything that happened to me and I wanna keep them as they are" - I said to him still looking at my burn scars

"You really wanna remember be a slave to a crazy psychopath that didn't care to kill people around to be noticed?" - asked Peter

"Not that...I wanna remember that I been through a lot of pain and bad situations that I survive, that I'm stronger because of them and most of all that you...Peter Parker...you save me" - I said looking at him and he smiled at me and I smiled too knowing I could do it without worrying now about getting a shock

"Hey Peter! Ziggy was right, I got the coordinates of Beck's crew and I also found the data of the video, we better act now" - said Dr. Banner form the computer

"Uh..." - said Peter looking at Dr. Banner direction and then looking at me with doubt

"Go, I'll be fine" - I said

Peter nodded and joined Dr. Banner putting on his EDITH glassed to work on the case of Beck's crew, which I'm happy that they are gonna get caught as well and that Peter is gonna be safe from the video that could damage his image and his life, because for what I saw they even were gonna reveal his identity, in some kind of way I saved him as well.

"Zig are you ok?" - asked Peter looking at me worried

"Yeah...why?" - I asked

"Because you are crying...are you in pain?" - asked Peter concerned

"No, no...I'm fine...these are just...happy tears" - I said

"Hey Peter!" - called out Happy entering the lab

"Yeah?" - asked Peter

"I forgot to give you this after you told me to take care of it while you were fighting Beck, you told me that it was a gift for-" - started to say Happy showing Peter a little gift bag he had in his hand

"Happy!" - interrupted Peter to the man sounding nervous

Peter run to where Happy was standing, he was exasperated and blushed while he was talking to him, he seemed very nervous, I couldn't hear what they were saying but in a moment during their conversation Happy turned to look at me making Peter scold him about something before he turned to look at me as well and when he saw me looking he turned to keep talking to Happy, he put the little gift bag inside his backpack and walked back to where I was.

"Well, since is late we can stay here and comeback to Queens tomorrow" - said Peter with a smile

"Oh, ok" - I said

"Unless...you wanna go somewhere else" - said Peter

"What? Where would I go?" - I asked confused

"I mean, Happy told me about this place called "The Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters" that Nick Fury recommended for you so you can go there to train your powers, your control and also-" - started to explain Peter

"No" - I cut him off - "I know how to control my powers Peter, I had them since I was 8 and I was living on the street, then in some kind of way having those shackles teach me to be in more control of my emotions and powers, so I don't wanna go there" - I explain - "I don't wanna leave my chance for a normal life, I wanna go back with you" - I said

"Ok...then tomorrow, we are gonna go back to Queens, together" - said Peter

I move to hug him and he hugs back, I was about to step in a new chapter of my life: safe, calm and mostly free, I couldn't wait for it.

A/N: So this is the epilogue of this book guys! As you can see I change the ending of the movie, thanks to the information given by Beck to Ziggy and that our boy survived he helped Peter so his identity remain a secret.

For those of you that still are craving for a new chapter even this is "the end" I have another post coming TOMORROW! So I can finish this fic and the Fantastic Four one before Christmas and New Years weeks, so we are basically having a ending weekend lol
