— October 31, Derek's Loft —

Derek left the loft. I was tired of all the traveling so I went to a spare bedroom to sleep.

I was woken up later by the loud sound of music. I went downstairs just to find a part. A party in Derek's Loft. Derek's.

The people who threw it are dead. He won't blame me, right? Nah, he won't he loves me too much.

I went up to the painter, "Take a break, I'll take over." She nodded to me as thanks and went to the party, to party.

I was holding the brush until Ethan and Danny came up. Ethan looked at me "You came back?"

"Yes I'm back, don't want me to?" I asked

"No, no. yes I want you here," he said hugging me.

"Well, what do you want, face or body?" I asked. Ethan straight-up ripped his shirts off. "you gotta stop ripping shirts, ya know?" he smiled at me, "Got the hint."

"I need ice!" a female voice yelled.

"I got it," said Ethan patting Danny's chest, and walked away.

"You made up?" I asked, dipping my brush in blue luminescent paint.

"Throwing a party that was supposed to be canceled, yea," He smiled, showing his dimples.

"Your dimples are still cute," I said as I smiling.

After a while, Lucy finished with Danny's paint. She noticed he was staring around, she asks curiously "what are you looking at?"

Danny looks down at her reassuringly "Don't worry it's nothing. I'm seeing things."

"Yeah, probably," she said sending him a fake smile. One thing she learned during the time she spent there is that anything seen in beacon hills is nothing. "it's done,"

Danny looks at her work, says "nice," and walks away.

I grab the brush and start painting my arm. I asked the painter who I replaced to go back, she accepted and painted on my back, she took a picture and gotta say, beautiful.

I then walked towards the edge of the party, stay in the quiet corner, that is who I am. A few guys came and made out with me, nothing that went too far. I wasn't ever planning on getting kids or losing my v-card, never felt like it.

I heard Lydia yell 'Scott, Scott!' I tried to follow her voice but she stopped screaming for him. I continued looking for her, then I heard the start of a scream but it didn't end. I knew where it went so I went out to the balcony.

There I saw a masked figure, it was glowing its yellow eyes at Lydia. I was about to attack when it suddenly let go of Lydia's face, smoke coming out behind her ear. She fell onto the floor shaking.

I was about to rush towards her when 5 figures surrounded me, they wore masks, more specifically demon masks, oni masks.

I searched them up online after a not so great encounter with them. They were after a dark soul, well that's what I've read, so they shouldn't really harm us.

They bowed their heads. The action confused me, why would they show gratitude. Yes, I knew Japanese, I studied it after an encounter with their kind. The Oni in front of me for a none-known reason reached out his hand towards the side of my head but then stopped. "Don't tell me you are asking for permission?" The Oni nodded slowly. I sighed "Get it over with." The Oni put his hand on the side of my head and glowed its yellow-green-purplish eyes different from when they glowed with Lydia. I felt like someone invading my privacy, it was checking my soul, I could feel it, ... and I let it. Their touch felt cold, a chill was sent down my spine, it felt as if my inside froze, my teeth were chattered because of cold and the unknown situation.

Once it was done, its hand left the side of my head. I felt a burn/pain behind my ear, I then felt weak, eyes were becoming heavy and I slumped to the ground, well, the Oni, they caught me and laid me on the ground ... gently. They disappeared in a cloud of b black smoke into the shadow. I was shaking for the cold, how can I be this cold when it's not cold outside, at least my mind is still straight. Just then, the doors swung open, a human figure came out, Danny. He called out for us both. Oh, Aiden was also here.

"Aiden over here," Danny shouted.

"Lydia, Lucy. Lydia, Lucy. What happened?" Aiden repeatedly asked.

"I don't know. They're freezing they're practically hyperthermic." Danny answered looking at us.

"We gotta get them inside, help me." My brother states.

He planed on helping me up, I shook my head towards Lydia, indicating him to help her. He nodded his head at me in appreciation and went to help Lydia. Danny came and picked me up in the bride-style. Both of them were looking for something warm.

"Over here, there's a heat vent." Danny put me in front of the heat vent and left for blankets.

Aiden wrapped Lydia in his arms, he was planning to do the same to me but I said "She's human. I'm healing, give her more heat." He sent me an apologetic smile and complied. I sat down leaning on his shoulder towards the heating vent.

It was getting warmer 'till suddenly I hear Derek yell combined with his Alpha voice. "GET OUT!" Everyone was quiet at first until someone said 'damn dude.' that made me silently laugh.

Everyone was rushing out of the room, Aiden transferred the weak Lydia to Danny "get her out," Aiden ordered the human as he joined others out of the loft. I was leaning on the pillar that helped me stand, watching as people scrambled out of the room. Aiden looked back towards me sending an are-you-ok look. I reassured him with a smile, he then looked back at the middle of the loft. Once everyone was clear, there were only us/wolves plus Allison and Kira, and the Oni. Everything was silent, the Oni turned their heels and faced my side of the room, "guys, they're looking at me, why are they looking at me?" Aiden was asking in panic, "Guys?!" he asked louder but in the same tone.

They continued walking toward until they stopped. Scott and Derek charged. Aiden and I didn't know what to do. I saw Ethan being held up by Allison and Isaac, guess the Oni paid him a visit seeing that he was in the same position as Lydia and me.

Derek rushed forward in an attempt to fight them, the Oni started fighting back with skilled martial arts. Scott soon joined in the fight as Derek snapped one of their necks, which didn't seem to faze it at all as it snapped it back in place. The Oni didn't flinch as it pushed Derek into the wall behind him and another shoved Scott into a hard cement pillar. All 5 Oni turned back to face my brother and me, Scott and Derek were overpowered.

Isaac taking notice of the situation ran forwards elongated his claws preparing to fight. The Oni took notice of his presence spun around and pulled out a black sword from his chest. Isaac looked at his confusion and fear clear in his eyes. It was noticeable that he surrendered. The Oni took note of that and spun around looking at my brother. I would have helped if there wasn't an Oni standing in front of me and staring straight into my face. Two Oni grabbed Aiden's arms holding him in place, and the Oni who took out the sword from his chest raised his hand next to Aiden's face. The Oni's eyes shown yellow and green, there was not purple when it reacted to me.

Once he was done, the Oni's hand loosened, leaving smoke to come out of the back of Aiden's ear. He fell, but before there was an impact I caught him. The Oni who previously stood in front of me opened a path and so I could pass through.

The Oni's heels turned towards another direction. I looked up and saw they were staring at Scott and a girl. Scott was baring his teeth at the Oni. But, before either could do anything, the Oni looked to their side and the sun had come up. When the sun hit the Oni, their bodies turned into smoke.

Just then I heard Isaac say, "Your dad's 24 hours are up."

Annoyed I announced, "Imma gonna go, too much shit to deal with right now."
