When they got back, Nya told Misako what happened and she goes white. A meeting was called to discuss what GArmadon overheard.
"Garmadon, what did you hear?" Skylor asked.
"All I heard were plans to kill Lloyd. I don't know how or when they are going to do it." Garmadon responded
"Do you know anything else?"
"Yes. They said they are going to pin it on me."
Harumi sat there, thinking. If they killed Lloyd, her child would grow up without a father.
"I think I know why they would do it." Harumi started
"Why then?" Lloyd said
"Because they want me to be a single mother and a teenager. Then, I would be in a place of vulnerability and they could take me out, then the child. They are narrow-minded and delusional."
"That's fucked up." Killow said.
"Killow, language." Harumi laughed
"Why? Lloyd cusses all the time. Especially when he's talking about Garmadon."
All eyes were on Lloyd.
"I gotta go..." Lloyd's voice trailed off
"Hey! We're gonna talk about that language later!" Garmadon yelled after him
Everyone laughed.
LATER
Harumi and Lloyd were trying to discuss what to do next, but they both had different ideas. Harumi's argument was we know nothing, so we should leave them alone and keep Lloyd safe. Lloyds was we need to figure out what's going on. They argued for about 15 minutes like 4-year-olds, and they weren't letting up anytime soon.
"Lloyd, we need to keep you safe! She's out there, plotting as we speak!" Harumi yelled
"All the more reason to figure out what she's planning!" Lloyd argued
"We don't know what she's capable of! You need to stay here until further notice!"
"Again, another reason to find out! If she's planning something that involves me, I have a right to know!" Lloyd shot back
"She threatened your goddamn life! YOU NEED TO STAY HERE!"
"Harumi, I can fight back! We need to bring her to justice."
Harumi was getting mad. Clearly, what she was saying was going in one ear and out the other.
"I never said we weren't going to! But right now, keeping you safe is my priority! Trust me."
"And then what? When she looks for me, she won't fail. Hiding me won't accomplish anything!"
Suddenly, Garmadon appeared.
"Can you two keep it down. We can hear you from downstairs. And we just got a tip from someone on what they are going to do."
"And what is that?" Harumi asked
"Ok. Maybe I should ease you two into this. Lloyd, Rebeccas trying to lure you into somewhere. So they are trying the one thing that will get you over to her."
Lloyd knew what was coming.
"A prison fight. That's what they are planning. Tonight, they are going to broadcast a fight at the prison where we fought, Kryptarium, to the city in an effort to get you over there."
Lloyd was shocked. He didn't quite expect that.
"So when a fight between a "Father" and "Son" happens tonight live, it's a setup. Do not get involved. Are we clear?"
Lloyd nodded his head.
"Then come downstairs. We are still talking, you know."
DOWNSTAIRS
Lloyd and Harumi went downstairs and sat down.
"Did Garmadon tell you what we got?" Nya asked
"Yes. I won't be intervening. I know it's a setup."
"Good. Tonight, you need to be indoors by 8 and can't go out until 9. Do not be anywhere near the prison. In fact, don't go anywhere that is farther than a mile from here, other than Chen's noodles." Misako ordered
"Ok, mom. I have a history test soon anyway Ill study for."
"Skylor and Nya will be close to you at all times when you're out. Do not update your status on social media. In fact, stay off social media. I know I sound overprotective, but this is serious. So no TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Snapchat." Misako told Lloyd sternly
"Ok, mom. I'll stay off those apps. I won't call anyone either."
"That's good."
THAT NIGHT
It was 8, and the fight still hadn't happened.
"What if they were lying?" Skylor said as the TV hadn't changed channels by default yet
"Neuro said they weren't, Skylor." Nya replied
Lloyd was anxious. He was worried that they were lying.
"Lloyd, it's best if you were not out here, and in your room." Harumi told him
"She's right. You could be spotted through a window." Killow agreed
Lloyd protested, but eventually went upstairs with Harumi close behind.
"This is stupid. They aren't here anyway. Why be in here?" Lloyd asked Harumi
"Because it's for your own safety. We don't know where the rest are, or how many there are." Harumi told him
Suddenly, they heard shouts from downstairs
Lloyd ran downstairs, with Harumi begging him not to.
The TV had changed to a fight, just as Garmadon said it would. And sure enough, there were two people on screen, a father and a son. After about 2 minutes, Lloyd had enough.
"I need to go, before someone gets hurt."
"No Lloyd. You need to stay as far away from there as possible." Garmadon told him
"Someone's going to get hurt! We don't have anymore special healing tea." Lloyd protested
"So that's how you lived..." Garmadon mumbled
"Anyway, please stay here. Lloyd, I'm begging you." Nya said
"Ok fine. You guys won. I'll stay here, just turn it off." Lloyd replied
"Fair enough." Skylor switched the channel
Lloyd went back upstairs and closed the door.
He made sure no one was around. Most of them were downstairs. Ultraviolet and Killow were in their rooms.
Lloyd opened the closet and pulled out ninja clothes.
He changed into his ninja gi and combat boots. He then opened his drawer and pulled out some gloves and a hood. After he put those on, he quietly opened the window. They aren't very smart to give Lloyd a room with a window big enough for Killow, Skylor, Harumi, and Garmadon to climb through at once. He stuffed a pillow on his side of the bed and was off.
When Lloyd was on the ground, he went and grabbed his car. He then drove off.
Misko felt bad Lloyd was alone, so she brought him dinner. She walked upstairs and knocked on his door.
"Lloyd, it's me, honey. I brought dinner."
No reply.
"Lloyd? Are you in there?"
Again, no reply.
Misako stood there for 5 minutes before she went in.
She saw Lloyd was in his bed and she pulled back the covers, only to find it was a pillow.
"Shit. Oh shit!" Misako yelled once she saw the window was open and Lloyds car was gone.
She should have known he would pull something like this.
Hearing her cries, Garmadon and Harumi ran upstairs.
"What's wrong?" Harumi asked
"Lloyd! He's gone!" Misako sobbed
Garmadon saw the window was open and the stuffed pillow.
"He's clever, but we need to stop him!" Garmadon said
"Too late." Harumi replied
They all looked at the small TV and sure enough, Lloyd was already there.
"Send Skylor and Nya. Harumi, can you-" Misako was cut off by Harumis reply
"Send some SOGs? Yes." Harumi made a call to Cyrus Borg's tower.
"I'll call the police. Killow, can you send some FBI?" Garmadon asked.
"Im on it." Killow grabbed the phone. Luckily, he knew the number because Harumi's dad used to contact them for security for rallys.
In less than 5 minutes, Harumi sent over 50 guards to the prison, Killow sent 20 FBI, and Nya and Skylor were on their way.
Meanwhile, Lloyd was witnessing the fight from above, listening. He knew it wasn't real, but he was making sure no one was hurt.
Lloyd was above in the rafters, listening in. Suddenly, the rail he was sitting on gave out, and he fell.
Lloyd landed in the center of the prison, in front of the 2 fighters. They both stopped and radioed Rebecca
"He's here. Our plan worked."
Rebecca came out, wearing a red combat uniform and her long blonde hair in a french braid.
"Did anyone ever tell you red isn't your color?" Lloyd spat at Rebecca after she chained him to a rail.
"Silence!" Rebecca yelled at him
"Make sure the cameras are still on! I want to ensure everyone sees the fall of their hero!" Rebecca ordered
"Yes, boss." The 2 guards scampered away.
Rebecca approached him, with murder in her eyes.
"What do you want, Rebecca?"
"I want you gone! You never did anything for this city, only damaged it further." Rebecca shouted at him
"Really?"
"Yes, really! If you had just stayed on the bounty that night, you would have maybe had a shot at taking down Garmadon right then. But instead, you snuck out and picked a fight because you thought you could turn him! You bitched and fought with him for what reason!"
Lloyd was taken aback. He opened his mouth to speak, but Rebecca wasn't done.
"You quite frankly made the situation worse. You sent your friends to another realm and almost got them killed. You helped Garmadon reach his full potential, and caused a city-wide panic for 2 weeks because everyone thought you were dead! be honest Lloyd, how many times has Ninjago city almost fallen on your watch! How many times have you and your friend failed and let others pay the price! Your not a protector, you're a kid playing dress up." Rebecca smirked
"You need to stop this! If you kill me..." Lloyd didn't have to finish.
"If I kill you Harumi will have to raise her baby on the own, just as I wanted."
"So this is what this is about? Forcing someone who never did anything to you to be a teen single mother!" Lloyd yelled
"Yes."
"You won't get away with this."
"Well see."
Rebecca unchained him and walked him over to a wall. Before Lloyd could realize what she was going to do and tried to stop her, it was too late.
Rebecca dangled him over the ground outside the prison from the hole in the wall. Lloyd tried to scream but Rebecca covered his mouth with tape.
Suddenly, the guards that were called in got there and stormed the prison.
"FBI don't move!"
Rebecca took her chance and dropped Lloyd.
As Lloyd was falling, he heard screams of people and people running. He realized that as long as he landed on his side, he would be good.
He hit the ground hard, but was alive. His side hurt, but he was basically ok. Rebecca jumped down and looked at him, thinking he was dead. Harumi stood there, with tears in her eyes.
Suddenly, Lloyd jumped up and knocked her out.
Then, chaos.
The SOGs were fighting Rebecca's team, and when Rebecca regained consciousness, she fought Lloyd 1 on 1. Killow tried to get Harumi out of there, and drove off back to the house. The police were storming the prison. It was chaos.
The fight lasted about an hour and eventually, Lloyd beat Rebecca and joined the fight to beat Rebecca's generals. Nya and Skylor were storming the prison. Eventually, the police left and arrested Rebecca and her generals. Lloyd was basically ok but had a broken wrist.
Rebecca was taken into the prison and Lloyd and the others drove home.
When Lloyd got back, Misako hugged him in joy.
"Never do that again!"
"I won't mom, I promise."
Lloyd went upstairs and went into his room.
Harumi saw him and jumped up.
"Lloyd! I thought you were dead! I was so scared." Harumi cried
Lloyd hugged her and sat down.
"Hey hey, it's ok. Im fine and I'm sorry I scared you." Lloyd said calmly
"Im sorry for fighting earlier." Harumi apologized
"Im sorry too."
Harumi surprised him with a kiss and Lloyd accepted it. After all of this, they needed it.
"How's the baby?" Lloyd asked her once they broke the kiss
"In good health. It's a girl." Harumi smiled
"What do you want to name her?" Lloyd asked her
"My birth mother's name was Crystal, so that name maybe. What about you?"
"Honestly, that sounds really pretty. I like it."
Then, they went to sleep, safe and sound, knowing that there were no more threats.
