If Aizawa expelled…
Chapter eleven: The first realm wherein Aizawa expels one of the girls
The audience that had been summoned by the Realmcrafter Talespinner69 had just gotten done viewing realm number ten that had been lined up for their viewing pleasure in the current showing. Each realm in this showing featured Aizawa expelling a different one of his students in class 1-A, with each expulsion having consequences. So far, Aizawa ended up enjoying none of the realms that he and everyone else in the audience had seen.
"So that's what would happen if Sho expelled that Sero boy," Hizashi remarked, "He should have done a proper job of investigating the missing lunches from the fridge in the teacher's lounge."
"Believe you me, Hizashi," Aizawa replied, "If an incident like lunches going missing from the fridge in the teacher's lounge ended up occurring in real life, then I would do a proper job of investigating the matter, not automatically pin the blame on the first random student in my class that I can think of."
Hound Dog, his arms folded over his chest, remarked, "Yeah, a lot of what occurred in these realms wouldn't happen for real because, unlike our counterparts in those realms, we for real are not dimwitted morons."
Shrugging helplessly, Tale said, "Yeah, that's an occasional risk in realms crafted by my kind. We tend to characterize you all way differently than you are for real if we feel it'll help drive and tell the story we're aiming to tell."
Gesturing to the big theater screen, Aizawa asked, "Well how the hell does depicting me as an incompetent moron half the time help to drive a story?!"
"Hey, don't look at me," Tale defended, "I try to be respectful when I can." Gently shaking his head, Tale said, "But that's another story for another time. Right now, we got realm number eleven to get to."
"We better get a realm with Aizawa axing one of his girls this time," Mirko huffed in an annoyed tone, "I'm getting bored with so many boys in a row."
Gesturing to Mirko, Kotaro offered from where he and Tale stood in front of the big theater screen, "If to helps, we only got ten of Aizawa's students left to see get the boot treatment in a realm. Since six of those ten are the girls, the odds of realm number eleven featuring one of the girls being expelled by Aizawa ought to be pretty good."
Shrugging in an agreeing gesture, Mirko nodded along as she and the rest of the audience all turned their attention to the big theater screen, watching on as realm number eleven began to play for them to watch.
...
(If Aizawa expelled Mina Ashido)
"Huh, so I'm the first girl that Aizawa-sensei ends up axing," Mina in the audience remarked over Mirko's relieved, ecstatic cheering, "But that begs the question." Gesturing to the big theater screen, Mina asked in a rhetoric manner, "What reason does Aizawa-sensei have in this realm for kicking me out of UA?"
Sighing in a resigned tone, Aizawa remarked, "Chances are it'll be for something that I will end up ultimately regretting."
Aizawa was walking to his homeroom class that he taught at UA, that being class 1-A. He was accompanied by Hitoshi Shinso, who had been added to class 1-A due to the vacancy that had been made in recent events.
"Oh, Shinso takes the place of the expelled student," Mineta remarked dryly, "Haven't seen that one in a while."
"Zip it, short stuff," Shinso growled, more annoyed than anything.
"Aizawa-sensei, why did you expel that Ashido girl again?" Shinso asked, a curious look on his tired looking face.
Sighing, Aizawa proceeded to explain, "Last week, I gave the class an assignment to do a report on a random pro hero, with me giving each student the hero that they had to do their respective report on. Given the evidence that was presented to me after I gave all the reports back, I had reason to suspect that Ashido had cheated on her report. As such, I felt it was needed for me to expel Ashido."
Nodding in understanding, Shinso said, "Ah, a lack of academic integrity. Yeah, I've heard of some cases where that was grounds for kicking a student out of school."
His arms folded over his chest, Aizawa in the audience said, "So the me in this realm thinks that Ashido cheated on an assignment. It must have been a very important and or big assignment, because lack of academic integrity can be grounds for expulsion." After he spoke his bit, the underground hero shuddered a bit.
The shuddering didn't escape Hizashi unnoticed. "...Why did you shudder just now, Sho?"
"Because I get the dreading feeling that Ashido in this realm will turn out to be innocent," Aizawa replied, a hint of dreading in his tone.
Aizawa and Shinso reached the 1-A classroom, but only Shinso was surprised to see that only Momo Yaoyorozu was sitting inside. "Here's your new classmate, Yaoyorozu," Aizawa said as he and a confused looking Shinso entered the classroom.
"...Uhh, Aizawa-sensei," Shinso began, "Why is only Yaoyorozu here? Where is the rest of the class? You didn't have to expel all of them too, did you?"
The underground hero let out another resigned sigh. "...No, Ashido is the only former student of mine who I expelled."
"Rightly so, might I add," Yaoyorozu remarked, "Because with all due respect there's no way she didn't cheat on that report."
Gulping nervously, Yaoyorozu in the audience said in a worried tone, "Oh geez, I hope that I don't have anything to do with Mina's expulsion here."
Mina, her arms folded over her chest, remarked, "If you did then I'll smack you in the back of the head, depending if what you did is bad and or dumb enough."
Nodding once, Yaoyorozu conceded, "...That's fair."
Gesturing to the mostly empty classroom, Shinso began to ask, "Then why-"
"After I expelled Ashido, everyone else in class aside from Yaoyorozu declared that they would drop out of UA in protest," Aizawa explained, "Which ended up happening. Not only that, but at least half of Sekijiro's students over in class 1-B had also dropped out of UA as they all agreed with how my expelling of Ashido was supposedly wholly unjustified."
"A large portion of the first year hero course all ended up dropping out of UA in protest to Aizawa expelling Young Ashido?" Toshinori in the audience remarked out of surprise, "Wow, that is rather surprising, although such unity and support for one of their own is very respectable. At least if you ask me."
Aizawa sighed in a resigned tone as he slumped a bit in his theater seat. "...They seriously took a gamble like that just because I expelled Ashido. So now regardless of if she's innocent or guilty, I'm not going to like this realm because if she's guilty then a bunch of students ended up throwing their futures away for nothing, but if she's innocent then I expelled an innocent student for absolutely nothing."
"And regardless of if Mina is innocent or not, Aizawa-sensei," Izuku proceeded to point out, "So many students dropping out of UA all at once out of protest to your decision to expel her has no way of NOT making the news. It'll get loads of media attention if it occurs in real life, mark my words." A few others in the audience all nodded in agreement with the green-eyed boy.
Shinso looked rather surprised with what all he had just learned about the first year hero course as a whole. He wanted to know more about the assignment that Mina had gotten the boot from Aizawa over, but he figured now wouldn't be the best time to ask, so he'd hit up Yaoyorozu for some answers later, as she seemed to know.
Aside from that messy business, Shinso sat down in the desk that used to belong to Izuku (not that Shinso knew that) and sat in class with his lone classmate as Aizawa proceeded to go on about plans he and Sekijiro had to merge what remained of 1-A and 1-B together and that they'll joint-teach the class.
...
Later that evening, Shinso met up with the rest of what remained of the first year hero course of UA after Mina was expelled and over thirty students dropped out of UA in protest to Mina's expulsion. It was just him and Yaoyorozu from 1-A, and Monoma, Togaru, Shihai, Kosei and Nirengeki from class 1-B. That was only seven hero course students left, and Shinso himself didn't start out as a hero course student.
In the audience, Fat Gum said with his arms crossed over his chest, "So there's only six of the base forty left, and one of the base forty was expelled, so a total of thirty-three students had all dropped out of UA in protest."
Some of the audience members looked like they were all doing some mental math, and Yosetsu was the first to say, "Fat Gum's right. Thirty-three students from the first year hero course, one of them being myself apparently, had all dropped out of UA to protest Aizawa-sensei expelling that Mina girl in class 1-A."
Everyone sat at a large table together in the common area of the class 1-B dorm building, as there was more of the original class 1-B left. "Now that all of us are here," Monoma began, "We can get started on celebrating the downfall of class 1-A, thereby proving the superiority of-"
Monoma was cut off when Nirengeki smacked him in the face. "Yeah, I'm taking over Itsuka's job after she and all of the other girls joined the others in their protest," Nirengeki explained, "Someone's got to keep you from yapping your head off twelve times per day."
"...Interesting," Shinso remarked dryly, "But more on that later." Turning to face Yaoyorozu, Shinso said, "I got it that Ashido had supposedly cheated-"
"Not 'supposedly', Shinso," Yaoyorozu interrupted, "It's guaranteed that Mina had cheated on that report!"
"...I would like the full story," Shinso replied, a bit surprised by how incensed Yaoyorozu was over Mina's (at the moment supposed as far as Shinso could tell) cheating on the report.
Turning to regard Yaoyorozu, Kosei said as he and all of the boys turned to give Yaoyorozu their full attention, "Actually, yeah, I want to know what happened too."
In the audience, Yaoyorozu gulped before saying nervously, "Well here we go, everyone."
The wealthy girl scoffed a bit before she began. "...Well, here's the thing. Last week, Aizawa-sensei gave all of us in 1-A a report to do on different pro heroes, with him giving us which pro hero we respectively had to do. I got Mr. Brave as the pro hero I had to do my report on, if any of you boys were curious."
Gesturing to Yaoyorozu, Nirengeki said, "Go on."
"Now Aizawa-sensei had strict guidelines for the report assignment," Yaoyorozu said, "So much so that even I, who normally gets perfect scores, only got a ninety-four on my report that I did on Mr. Brave. Even so it was still the highest score in class." A hint of suspicion had shown up on Yaoyorozu's face. "...Until Bakugo yelled out that Mina got a one-hundred on her report she did on Ryukyu."
Folding her arms over her chest, Mina in the audience said, "...So Yaoyorozu in this realm is jealous that I scored better than her on an assignment, and she started the accusations that I had cheated because of it."
"In her defense, Pinky," Bakugo said, "You aren't with all due respect known for pulling in perfect scores in class regularly. Can Ponytail really be blamed for thinking that you cheated?"
"Also, Mina's pro hero report was on Ryukyu?" Uraraka remarked in a surprised tone, "Huh, you'd figure that Tsuyu or I would get her as the pro hero we had to do a report on since we both work for her as interns."
"That would probably be why the me in this realm didn't assign either you or Asui the report on your employer, Uraraka," Aizawa said, "It would be either biased or you'd have an unfair edge since you can just go right to the source."
To the boys, Yaoyorozu said, "It's with all due respect rather suspicious that Mina, who statistically was one of the lowest scoring students that was in class, got a perfect score like that so out of the blue, and on an assignment that Aizawa-sensei was not being generous on. I brought my concerns to Aizawa-sensei's attention, and he agreed that it was suspicious, so he expelled Mina."
"Wait a minute, that's it?" Shinso began, looking and sounding surprised, "Aizawa-sensei just up and expelled Ashido because you were suspicious of her? Did he at least properly look into the matter to see if Ashido really did cheat or not? Did he at least hear her out if she made an effort to defend herself?"
Shrugging, Yaoyorozu replied, "What's there to investigate or hear out? This is Mina we're talking about here. There's no way her report was legit."
Turning to face Yaoyorozu in the audience, Mina slapped her in the face. "...Yeah, that was fair," Yaoyorozu said, "Sorry what the me in this realm did." Aizawa then told Mina that she could slap him in the face if she wanted, so Mina took advantage of that and slapped her homeroom teacher in the face.
Folding his arms over his chest, Shinso said, "...Wow, I just lost some respect for Aizawa-sensei. Never thought that would happen."
"Trust me, boys, Mina didn't do that report honestly," Yaoyorozu remarked, "You'll get the answer that I gave you just now if you do decide to investigate." Shinso then looked at the other boys and saw both Kosei and Nirengeki look back at him.
...
Later, a trio consisting of Shinso, Kosei and Nirengeki decided to get assured answers about what really went on. Getting a tip from Toshinori and Hound Dog who were both concerned over so many students dropping out of UA in protest against Mina's expulsion, Shinso and his group sought out Detective Naomasa, whose quirk could very easily help get the truth.
"Hoo boy," Aizawa in the audience said, "I'm not going to like this one."
The group of four eventually made their way over to Mina's place, where they were greeted by the sight of all of the drop outs looking like they were gearing up to do a live protest. Shinso and his party were met up by Izuku and Juzo as they made their way over. "Is there something that we can help you with?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, we're doing what Aizawa-sensei was apparently too lazy to get off his ass to do and properly investigate the matter about the accusations thrown at Ashido over her supposedly cheating on that report," Shinso spat bitterly.
Both Izuku and Juzo were a bit wide-eyed at how disrespectful Shinso was being about the underground hero. "...Umm, wow," Juzo said, "Never thought I'd hear you speak that way about Aizawa-sensei, Shinso."
"Well I never thought that he'd not do a job properly, especially when it concerns serious business in regards to UA," Shinso said, "Anywho, where's Ashido? Kosei, Nirengeki, Detective Naomasa and I need to see her."
Pointing to the house behind them, Izuku said, "Inside, crying her eyes out while gorging herself on ice cream as Uraraka and Tsuyu try to comfort her. Being expelled really hit her rather hard, you know." Shinso nodded in thanks as he and his group made their way into Mina's family's house.
"...Ow," Aizawa in the audience said, "It actually physically hurts me to see and hear Shinso so upset with me."
"And you have the nerves to bust my chops when I express pride in Young Midoriya," Toshinori remarked, a knowing look on his face.
...
Later, Aizawa and Sekijiro were called to Nezu's office. When they walked in, they saw that, in addition to Nezu, there was also Shinso, Kosei, Nirengeki, Detective Naomasa and a very upset looking Mina. "Aizawa, a proper job was done in looking into your reason behind your decision to expel miss Ashido," Nezu began.
"And she's here because..." Aizawa asked, expecting to be filled in.
"Yeah, she didn't cheat on her report in the slightest," Naomasa said, "I was able to confirm that myself with my quirk."
"Huh, there's Naomasa confirming innocence with his quirk again," Toshinori in the audience said, "He's proven rather useful over the course of all of these realms."
"Well he's a human lie detector basically," Kotaro said from where he and Tale stood in front of the big theater screen, "Of course he'd be useful."
"Ashido didn't cheat?" Aizawa said, looking surprised and mildly ashamed.
Nodding in confirmation, Nezu replied, "Indeed. She did, however, get a tutor to help point her in the right direction of what research she needed to do as well as help make sure the report was properly structured, but she did all of the real work herself."
Aizawa had a contemplative look on his face. "...Yes, there's no problem with getting a tutor to help out like that."
"The me on screen is right," Aizawa in the audience said, "There is no problem, and no shame, in getting the help of a tutor, provided that you do all of the actual work."
"I told you I didn't cheat," Mina said sadly, bitterly.
Sighing in a guilty tone, Aizawa said, "I guess that I owe you an apology, Ashido."
"Hey I'm just curious here," Sekijiro began, "But who's the tutor that helped you get that perfect score on that report you did for Aizawa on Ryukyu?"
Looking at the pro hero teachers, Mina said, "You won't believe me when I say this, but it was actually Tsuyu's little brother Samidare who helped me. Samidare is, like, a super big Ryukyu fan, basically being to Ryukyu what Izuku is to All Might."
"My little brother kero?" Tsuyu in the audience remarked in surprise.
Nudging Ryukyu with an elbow, Mirko said, "There's that boy being a big fan of yours again."
Seeing Naomasa nod in confirmation, Aizawa and Sekijiro decided to trust Mina. Anyway, with the truth confirmed, Nezu made the needed moves to re-enroll Mina and all of the students who had dropped out.
Aizawa, as well as Yaoyorozu, were made to apologize for their part in the incident. The students all accepted it, but Mina, Kyoka, Itsuka, Dark Shadow and Setsuna, in that order by the way, slapped Yaoyorozu in the face for her being petty. The wealthy girl admitted that she had it coming. Yaoyorozu did have to question why Dark Shadow had a turn in slapping her in the face, though.
FIN
Gesturing to the big screen, Tokoyami asked, "Why in blazes did Dark Shadow get a turn in slapping Yaoyorozu in the face?"
"That sentient quirk of yours has been quite the source of surprising intrigue over the realms thus far," Tamaki remarked, drawing nods of agreement out of the rest of the big three.
Letting off a content sigh, Mirko said, "I'm just glad we finally got to see a girl get the boot in one of these realms." Turning to face Ryukyu, Mirko asked, "Hey, who do you think will get the boot treatment next?"
Gently shaking her head, Ryukyu replied, "No clue. But I'm getting a bit of a dreading feeling for some odd reason."
"Maybe it's gas," Kotaro said from where he stood in front of the big theater screen screen next to Tale, drawing a slap to his face and a scolding for being rude from the Realmcrafter.
END OF CHAPTER
Author's notes;
Woo, finally did one of the girls! And shout outs to Edboyz for correctly guessing that Mina was the one slated to be expelled in this chapter. Anywho, the next chapter will in part reference some recent developments in the manga, mostly in regards to a certain fan theory that had just been confirmed. Also, another girl will be expelled in the next chapter.
