Amber was waiting at the coffee house for about 45 minutes before Callie arrived. The two friends shared a hug and sat down. 'Damn, Cal, what took you so long? Did Arizona take my advice?' she wriggled her eyebrows and Callie looked away blushing and that was all she needed to know. She dropped the subject, not wanting to embarrass her friend more. 'So, we need to talk missy.'

'Yeah, I guess we do. First of all, I am sorry for kissing you. I don't remember doing it, but just so you know, someone took our picture. We might need to do some damage control.'

'I have to be serious here, Cal. You scared me with how drunk you were. I hadn't seen that side of you in years. And actually Arizona sent me the picture. I do forgive you, but that can't happen again. And I may or may not have threatened Oscar with stitches for a month if he didn't mind his own business and tell his friends to do the same.' Amber winked.

'Thanks. I guess, and I promise it will not happen again. I don't even know why I reacted the way I did. I'm embarrassed really, but then there's that other thing…' Callie trailed off.

'Mmmhmm.' Amber hummed out. She was curious about this part. 'So, you asked me why we never tried at a relationship. Here's the thing Callie. First of all, you are gorgeous. I never want you to think it had anything to do with your looks. I mean those curves…Damn.' Amber laughed out. 'Seriously, I was attracted to you. At that point in my life, I was not looking for a relationship. I was trying to get through med school and if I added an actual relationship to the mix, I felt that that person would not get the attention that they deserved. It would not have been fair. Do you get that?'

Callie nods her head. 'Now I have to ask you something Callie. And please answer truthfully. Well I have two questions really.'

'Ok.' Callie said.

'Did you want a relationship with me? I mean, did you have feelings for me that were more than just sex?'

'Honestly, I did. You are an amazing friend Amber and I felt connected to you. You were an attentive lover and I could just see us taking the next step into a relationship. I thought we had a connection, but I get your reasoning.'

'I honestly don't think we would have made it anyway even if we gave it a shot. And then if we didn't work out, I would have lost my absolute best friend. You mean a lot to me. You were my family when I didn't have anybody. Hell, I'm closer with your mom then I am with my own mother. Maci's middle name is Lucia for crying out loud. My point is, you, and even your mom, are very important to me and I am glad we have each other in our life still.' Amber explained.

'I don't know that we would have stopped being friends. At that time, I guess I was looking for more. I love that we are best friends. I love that we can count on the other for anything. What was your second question though?' Callie asked

'I want to know how you felt when I met Tyler.'

'I felt happy for you, obviously, but I felt cast aside. We were sleeping together one night and then all of a sudden, you had this guy that seemed to come out of nowhere. I had to hear all about the wonderful truck driver that took your heart, when all I wanted to do was kiss you and hold your hand and claim you as mine.'

Amber nodded. 'I am sorry Callie. I never meant to hurt you. I really thought we were on the same page about things back then. And I know that my argument sounds weak, but there was just a connection with Tyler. I can't explain it. Didn't you feel something when you met Arizona? Some inexplicable force that drew you together?'

Callie thought back to when she kept Maci and Arizona had joined them for pizza. That seemed like so long ago. 'Yes…' she finally said. 'You and Tyler were on your honeymoon and it was that first night that she came to the apartment and we had pizza. I had to hand Maci off to her to open the door and we brushed fingers and there was this… spark that flew through us. I think she felt it too. She gasped. It was quiet, but I still heard it.'

'See, that was it with me and Tyler. There was a spark. So you get it?'

'I get it. And I am sorry I never said anything back then.'

'No worries, Cal. We are with who we are meant to be with. Arizona is your happily ever after, don't you think?' Amber asked.

'I do.'

Amber smiled. 'Can I tell you something?'

'Of course Amber. You can tell me anything.'

'You know back at Maci's party when she made a wish?' Callie nodded. 'Well her wish was for Zona and Cowwie to get married.'

Callie's eyes widened. 'I was wondering why you looked at us like that.'

'Yup. I told her to be patient, but if she sees how perfect you two are, then anyone with eyes can see it.'

Callie smiled and took a sip of her coffee. 'I want to ask her to move in with me, or move in together at least. I want to take the next step.'

'That's great Cal! Do it! Do it soon!' Amber beamed. She was so excited for her best friend.

'That's the last of them.' Tyler said. Arizona was officially moved into Callie's apartment. They decided to move into Callie's place because it was bigger and slightly closer to the hospital even if it was just a block.

Arizona looked up from the box she was unpacking. 'Thanks Tyler. You are a life saver.'

'Yeah, yeah. I'll send you the bill. I gotta hit the road. You guys ok?' Tyler was due to ride out to Texas again and the sooner he got on the road, the better.

'All set. Thanks again.' Arizona said.

'Come here Goober. Daddy's gotta get in his big truck.' Tyler called to his young daughter.

Maci ran over and hugged her daddy tightly. 'Bye Daddy. I love you. Will you call Mama later?' Maci asked.

'You know it Goob. I always call Mama. Will you be a big girl and be good?' he asked.

'Yes, Daddy.' Maci ran off to play with her toys.

Amber came up and hugged her husband. It never got easier. Being an over the road driver kept Tyler away for days at a time. 'I love you, Dear.' Amber said.

'I love you too. I'll call you guys later. I gotta get going.' Tyler leaned down to kiss Amber. It may not have been an appropriate goodbye kiss with an audience, but it would be close to a week before they would see each other again. They had to make it count.

'Be safe.' Amber said as he walked out the door. She turned to her friends and cleared her throat. 'So, what's left to unpack?' She needed to distract herself. It helped that she had a small child and a hectic job to keep her busy for when Tyler was out on the road.

'I have some pictures and some books to add to the bookshelves.' Arizona said. 'Is it like that every time he heads out?'

'Like what?' Amber wondered.

'You look at him like it's the last time you'll see him.'

Amber shrugged. 'Yeah, I guess. He just hasn't found a job that gets him home more often. He is working on it. Until then, we have to spend almost a week apart a few times a month.'

Callie and Arizona shared a sad look. They were grateful that they were able to spend so much time together. They couldn't imagine having to go through that all the time.

'Anyway, so you guys live together. Yay!' Amber said wanting to change the subject.

'We do.' Callie said looking into those beautiful blue eyes she loves so much. 'I almost had to beg on my knees to get her to move in though.'

Arizona smacked her arm lightly. 'You did not Calliope Torres. You asked and I jumped at the opportunity. It was all very romantic really. She asked when she set up a candlelight dinner and had soft music playing. She made my favorite meal. We danced after we ate and she asked me as we were dancing. It was perfect.' she said facing Amber again.

'MAMA!' Maci yelled from the other room. All three women ran into the bathroom where Maci was screaming from.

'What? What's wrong, baby?' Amber asked.

'Will you wipe my butt?'

Amber rolled her eyes. "Geez, Maci. I thought you were hurt.'

'No mama. I pooped. That's all.' Maci said matter of factly.

'Well I am very proud of you. Let's get you cleaned up.' She had to laugh at this little girl. She had no filter and no shame. 'Excuse me ladies, duty calls.' Callie and Arizona went back to the kitchen cracking up. 'Hey, stop laughing. This will be you guys one day.' Amber calls down the hall. Callie and Arizona share a knowing look. They can't wait.

Later that night, the women are laying in their bed. Arizona was laying on Callie's shoulder and Callie had her arm wrapped around the smaller woman and was slowly stroking her arm. 'Thank you for moving in with me.' she said gently

'You don't have to thank me. I think it was the right time to take the next step in our relationship. I have to say that I thought it would be a little more difficult to combine our stuff, but it all looks pretty good together.'

'It really does. We are just a perfect fit.'

'Maci had me laughing so hard earlier. She was so serious.' Arizona laughed.

'She is hilarious. I hope our kids are funny like her.' Callie said.

'Yeah. Hey, I have an idea.'

'What's that sweetie?'

Arizona shifted so that she was facing Callie. She placed her thigh against the Latina's center and began applying pressure slowly. 'I say, we practice making a baby.' she said trailing kisses from Callie's ear down to her neck.

'What was that Calliope?' Arizona husked into her ear.

'Yes, ma'am.' Callie went to flip them, but Arizona stopped her.
