Takagi : it's ok ( smiles) he was speechless

Sumire : you know it's still half an hour before the dance actually starts so stop talking about your boyfriends I feel left out... ( seriously how do they talk about it all the time like girls don't you have other things to do)
Mano : speaking of which don't you have a crush sumire-chan?

They all laugh and takagi suddenly sees Kawahara moving towards nishikata and she got curious and eavesdropped on them
Nishikata : what is it?... ( I hope kusuo isnt up to something)
Kawahara : I just wanted to apologise for the trouble caused by my brother...
Nishikata : you could've just apologised then and there
Kawahara : I was scared and embarrassing ( she was still heartbroken from the rejection) nishikata-kun... Did you decide whether you like Takagi-san or not?
Takagi : ( she tenses up she had been trying to get this info out of him for weeks) ( what's it gonna be)
Nishikata : ( slightly embarrassed) yes I do...
Takagi : ( she couldn't believe her ears she wanted to jump and run around in happiness but she stayed)
Kawahara : ( as the last bit of hope went out of her she quickly walked away)
Nishikata : ( he runs to his friends but sees takagi behind them) takagi?
Takagi : ( oh crap) yes nishikata?
Nishikata : ( was she spying on me) did you hear anything?
Takagi : N-no ( crap)
Nishikata : ( she definitely heard everything) ( they just stared at each other for few minutes in awkward silence)
The speakers suddenly bared up "the last dance is about to begin all students who want to dance please make your way to the dance floor "
Nishikata : ( nervous) ( now that she knows she will definitely reject me... I wonder if we'll still be friends...) (he sadly looks at her)
Takagi : ( I probably broke all of his confidence... I'm happy but... I don't think he'll ask me for the dance... I'll ask him instead)
Nishikata : ( taking deep breaths) (I probably lost everything between us... But... I have nothing to lose anymore right... What's the worse that could happen now) ( he builds up courage) takagi...
Takagi : yeah... ( what's this now)
Nishikata : ( nervously) will you dance with me?
Takagi : ( it seemed like time had stopped) ( happiness overflowed within her and gave her a blush) of course nishikata...
Nishikata : ( she said yes, what does it mean... Does she like me... I guess I will never understand her) ( he takes her hand and walks to the dance floor)
Takagi : ( proud of nishikata's bravery, she blushes and follows behind)
Both of them along with many others danced, nishikata didn't even care about what others were thinking and was just enjoying the time... The song seemed to go on forever and ever... When it finally stopped everyone left the school
Takagi : that was fun nishikata
Nishikata : glad you enjoyed it ( still shaking unable to comprehend his previous bravery)
Takagi : ( finally builds up the courage she lost when she was trying to confess to nishikata a few weeks prior) we are almost at the intersection huh
Nishikata : yeah, it was one hell of a day...
Takagi : thanks nishikata, this was one of the best days of my life...
Nishikata : ( doesn't know how to respond so he just nodded with a small smile) ( atleast she enjoyed it)
Takagi : ( this is it) I... ( she pulled herself closer to him) I... ( suddenly her phone rings startling both her and nishikata)
Nishikata : ( sees that she looks unsure whether to answer or not) go on answer it...
Takagi : ( why does this keep happening to me?!...) ( she sadly picks up the phone) hello
Sumire : did you confess
Takagi : I was just about to when someone ruined it...
Sumire : ( oh.. fuck me) I'm so fucking sorry takagi...
Takagi : ( really sad but forgives her and hangs up) ( completely losing her confidence she just stared at him)
Nishikata : it's getting late... I'll see you Monday then... ( he starts to leave)
Takagi : (no... I don't want this... No.. When he lost all hope he still asked me to dance... I can do this) nishikata wait!
Nishikata : yeah?
Takagi : can you meet me tomorrow at the restaurant near the school?
Nishikata : ( flustered) s-sure... ( he quickly leaves)
Takagi : ( so close yet so far) (she walked back to her house)
