Now that Seth knows the whole Truth about Sasha and Roman, the Shield have a very difficult decision to make. With the New Year just around the corner, DX do everything they can to stop things from getting out of control.
Chapter Eleven – Whatever, Whenever, Wherever
Miguel's, Midtown, NYC, NY
It was past midnight at Miguel's and Hayworth and MacKenzie were now hanging out with the Street Profits, who had been rescued from the devious grip of Stephanie McMahon and whatever scheme she was cooking up. Seth had no idea what Stephanie was up to but the fact that it involved the Street Profits meant that he would absolutely have to talk to his Treasurer about it. His Treasurer was singing karaoke with Becky Lynch and most probably getting drunk too. He was already in prayer mode so he would naturally have to detox the Braided One tomorrow, even though after he talked to Roman and Galina, he'd need a lot of prayer himself.
At the moment Seth was enjoying hearing his ex-girlfriend tell his wife why he was such a great catch. By the time the two couples and the Street Profits left Miguel's, all of the wonderful stories MacKenzie told Hayworth about Seth seemed to make Sasha Banks feel worse about being pregnant for Roman Reigns. MacKenzie made Seth out to be the best guy a woman could ever date and while that encouraged Hayworth, it discouraged the Boss. If Seth was the greatest guy ever, what did that make her? By the time they went back to the hotel, Sasha felt like the worst wife in the world.
The change in the Boss' demeanour was not lost on HayMac or the Street Profits as she barely looked up on the way out of the restaurant.
"Was it something I said?" MacKenzie asked Seth wondering why Sasha was so quiet and looked so sad after all the wonderful things she said about Seth.
Seth shook his head calmly, "No you didn't do anything wrong, we've just got a lot of stuff going on Mac," he replied and Hayworth listened concerned.
"Is there anything we can do to help?" he asked Seth genuinely.
Seth smiled at Hunter's firstborn son proudly, "Just do me a favour and take things slow, enjoy Mac's company and don't rush ahead. She's worth the wait, I promise. Now I need you to promise me you won't do anything that your father would do,"
Hayworth saluted Seth, "Its a promise," he said honestly holding MacKenzie's hand and Seth's ex-girlfriend felt special and concerned at the same-time. Seth knew she was going to call him later on tonight and make sure that he was okay but there was nothing he could say to her. His best friend's marriage was possibly about to end and he had to be there to pick up the pieces because his wife was involved.
"You're a lucky man and I wish you all the best," Seth said to Hayworth and he hugged the young Helmsley heir and kissed MacKenzie on the head, "Thanks for caring about me," he told her and he waved goodbye to HayMac and escorted his despondent wife into the hotel, leaving HayMac with more questions than answers about Seth and Sasha Rollins. The also had a flurry of butterflies chasing each other in their stomachs and as they made eye contact with each other, the Street Profits couldn't help themselves and they took a picture as HayMac shared a kiss that could only be called perfect.
Back at the hotel Seth comforted his wife who was wracked with guilt over being pregnant for Roman Reigns. As the meeting between Roman and Galina, Seth and Sasha drew closer, the pressure was weighing on the Boss. This would be the first time she'd seen Roman since Seth told her the Truth about her baby and on top of that, she had to deal with Dean Ambrose. Dean never wanted Seth to marry Sasha and now, Dean had concrete evidence to prove why that was.
"Dean's going to be all over me tomorrow Seth, he barely likes me as it is. This is going to be so humiliating," Sasha sobbed while Seth kissed the tears away from her face. "Or if he's not cussing me out, he'll give me a silent stare of hate and sometimes, those are worse than a shot to the gut. I'm not looking forward to this meeting,"
Seth hugged Sasha tight, burying his chin in the slop of her neck. Sasha was still the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and her anxious words melted away in the light of her gorgeous body. Sasha could feel her husband's excitement and she stopped complaining for a second and laughed out loud.
"How can you even be attracted to me right now? I'm a hot mess, a hot pregnant mess," Sasha said and she looked Seth in the eye questioning his state of mind, "Are you seriously thinking about sex right now?"
Seth paused to consider the question before answering, "Well I was thinking about foreplay, now I'm thinking about sex," he said and Sasha sat up and gave Seth an incredulous look.
"Is this all a big turn on for you Seth? Tomorrow, we are going to tell the mother of Roman's four children that her husband is having my baby. We are going to wreck her life forever, scratch that – I am going to wreck her life forever. How could you possibly want to have sex at a time like this?" Sasha questioned and Seth smiled admiring his wife as she sat against the headboard of the bed.
"Yesterday was the first time we had sex in an actual bed. In spite of all this drama, I've never felt more in love with you. We're getting closer and closer, can't you feel it? I know this is a lot to deal with babe but, we can't change any of it. So we might as-well make the most of a bad situation," Seth said and he touched his wife's naked feet. "I mean, if you wanna cry yourself to sleep, I'll be your pillow but it won't change the fact that tomorrow is going to happen, whether we like it or not,"
Sasha nodded as Seth slid her down onto her back and removed her jewellery, "Damn Seth, you sure know how to make a bad girl feel good," the Boss said and she met his lips with her own and all thoughts of tomorrow melted away in a bed of black and blue curls. Seth's cell-phone rang, it was Mac and she wanted to make sure he was okay. If he answered she would most certainly know that he was, even if it was a rubber band solution to a natural disaster of a problem. Making love might make the pain more tolerable but there was a lot of stuff not being said and eventually, Seth and Sasha would have to say it to each other. Right now they weren't saying anything to each other, they were just pounding flesh.
Enigmatic Conference Suite
The air in the hotel room was cold and Dean Ambrose was giving Sasha Banks the coldest stare he had ever given her. Now that the Shield, Sasha and Galina were all in the same room together, there was no escaping the reality of how bad all of this really was. Roman hadn't slept in days, Dean was pulsating with rage and Seth was lovingly sitting by his wife's side holding her hand. There was one person missing but for some reason when Sasha called Bayley's mobile, she didn't answer. It looked like Bayley wouldn't be coming, so this was going to go ahead without her, which was great for Seth but rough for Sasha. She really needed her best friend right now as she was about to be shredded.
Galina Reigns looked over at Seth with anxious eyes, "So what is this all about?" she asked him and Dean breathed out a deep sigh and covered his face. "Roman hasn't slept in days, so was I right? Is my husband sleeping with Alexa Bliss?"
"What?!" Roman said appalled and Dean Ambrose slapped him over the head and told him to keep it together. "How could you think I was sleeping with my Christmas Party Co-Host?!"
"Because you were acting so weird when Alexa came over to our house before the party. So I asked Seth to check up on you and to tell me if anything was going on between you and Alexa. The way you were acting was just the way you were acting when you were sleeping with Sasha, so are you cheating on me Roman? Is this what this meeting is all about?" Galina asked her husband who looked at Seth clearly hurt by his wife's accusations.
"I can't believe you didn't tell me my wife wanted you to spy on me. I thought we were friends Seth, what the Hell is wrong with you?" Roman asked appalled and Seth locked his mouth not wanting to make things worse.
"Seth answer the question, I know I can trust you to tell me the Truth. Is my husband cheating on me or not?" Galina asked Seth and Roman got hot.
"What is going on here? I am not sleeping with anyone but you Lina," Roman said defensively.
"So what is this about, why did Seth call this meeting?" Galina asked suspiciously and Sasha took a deep breath and replied to Galina's question.
"Because the baby I thought I was having with Seth is not his, its Roman's. Roman is the father of my baby Galina. Your husband got me pregnant right here in New York City before I got together with Seth," Sasha said and Galina's heart shattered into a million pieces. She looked at Roman with liquid hate before turning to Seth for an explanation.
"When were you going to tell me this Seth?" she demanded.
"I only found out yesterday. I had no idea but we've all agreed that we have to do what's best for the baby so, we thought it was best to tell you now before the baby was born so you could decide what you want to do now that you know about it," Seth replied and Galina got up and started to pace around.
Dean Ambrose poured her a glass of water but she refused it. Everyone watched as she paced back and forth like a caged animal, when she finally stopped moving she looked at Seth just as Roman approached her. "Get away from me Joe, sit back down and don't touch me," she warned her husband. Galina was radiating with fury and Roman realised it would be wise not to say or do anything to make her erupt. When Roman sat down, Galina turned her attention back to Seth, "Are you going to stay with Sasha now that you know the child that she's carrying isn't yours?" she asked and Seth nodded.
"Yes I am, I'm not leaving my wife. I love her very much and I want our marriage to work," Seth said and Galina nodded.
"You're a good man Seth Rollins," she said sincerely and she gave Sasha a warning glare, "now I suggest you take your wife out of this city, because I'm about to burn it down – no pun intended,"
Sasha and Seth exchanged glances, "Galina, are you sure you don't want to sit down? We're here for you, this is a lot to take but the whole point of this meeting is to talk through all of this," Seth said.
"I'd love to talk to you Seth, you're good people and I like to talk to good people but my husband is not a good person and your wife is not a good person either and if I spend one more minute alone with either of them, I am going to rip them both to shreds. So I strongly suggest you all get out of this room because I am going to set this whole place on fire," Galina said furiously.
"Is she serious about the fire thing, or is she just doing your old gimmick?" Sasha asked Seth who shrugged.
"I don't know, Bianca's not here to tell me what's going to happen next. I think we better go," Seth said and he took Sasha out of the room. Seth turned expecting to see Roman and Dean following him, "Are you guys coming?"
"No, I'm going to talk to Galina and try to calm her down," Roman said but Seth shook his head adamantly.
"I don't think she's ready to talk, you better come with us. Dean, you stay and talk to her," Seth said and he pulled Roman out of the room leaving Dean to talk the Big Dog's wife down while Seth, Sasha and Roman went over to the Starbucks just down the street.
Ten minutes later...
Fire engines were sandwiched together in Midtown to put out a hotel fire on Central Park West. The Engimatic Hotel owned by Steph and Jeff Hardy was on fire and everyone there was being evacuated.
Galina wasn't kidding, when she said she was going to burn the hotel down, she meant it and that's exactly what she did. She burned the hotel down to the ground but only the people in that meeting knew why she did it.
Everybody's stuff was gone but nobody died in the flames. The only thing that died was Roman's marriage, as far as the Big Dog was concerned, his family life just went up in flames. When Jeff Hardy found out about the fire he was more concerned about the people staying at the hotel.
He assured Steph that they could build another one somewhere else in the city, he was just grateful that no-one had lost their lives. However, if anyone ever found out that it was an intentional act of arson, Galina Reigns would be sure to lose her freedom and custody of all her children.
Over at the Ortons home, Seth comforted Roman who naturally was very worried about his wife's wellbeing. "I think your wife is going to need a really good lawyer. If the police find out that this was an intentional act of arson, Stephanie's going to come after her hard," Seth told Roman.
Randy Orton motioned for Seth to join him in the living room while Sasha spoke with his wife Trish Orton who was trying to counsel Galina Reigns in the kitchen. The Ortons were harbouring a fugitive and Seth was missing two of his key people; Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair and it was time that the Architect and the King's Oracle had a little talk.
"Where's your Treasurer, she should be here right now filling you in?" Randy Orton said and Seth shrugged. "Don't shrug at me Seth, find out where she is and tell her to come over here immediately,"
"I'm not taking Bianca's time away from her husband, she needs to be with Montez right now," Seth responded.
"Seth have you forgotten what her assignment is? She is your Treasurer of Secrets, she has been assigned to you by God, to let you in on things that nobody else could possibly know. She was supposed to tell you not to have that meeting at that hotel, where the Hell was she this morning?!" Randy demanded and Seth gulped; it seems that he had made yet another epic mistake.
"I-I don't know," Seth stammered and Randy exhaled with frustration.
"Of course you don't know Seth because it is not your job to know. It is Bianca's job to tell you what you're supposed to know and now, we have to deal with the consequences and brother, there will be huge consequences for Galina burning down the Enigmatic Hotel. Thank God no-one's life was lost. Where is Bianca?" Randy said.
"She's probably with Becky somewhere," Seth said and Randy Orton searched Seth's eyes to see if he was serious.
"Becky, as in Becky Lynch? Why the Hell is your Treasurer of Secrets hanging out with the Man? She's a woman of God Seth, Becky Lynch is not the type of woman that your Treasurer should be spending time with. Call Becky and find out where she is," Randy said and Seth reluctantly called Becky Lynch who didn't answer her cell phone.
"Becky's not answering her phone," Seth replied and Randy Orton gave him an icy glare. Moments later Seth got a message from Becky Lynch, "I got a message from Becky," he told Randy and he opened a link to an Instagram story of Bianca and Montez Ford in various locations, all over New York City. Seth dropped his cell-phone in shock before covering his mouth to stop the laughter from coming out.
"What, did you find her? Where is she?" Randy Orton said and Bianca Belair showed up with Alexa Bliss looking bright, alert and highly refreshed.
"Sorry we're late, we just had to drop Becky Lynch off at the airport. She did not want to leave New York," Belair explained and she hugged Seth who was blushing hard after seeing the clips Becky Lynch sent through to him.
"Glad you didn't get stuck on your way over," Seth said remembering the video of the Fords doing it in Austin's stolen pick-up truck.
"I always find my way out of the stickiest situations," Bianca said and Alexa Bliss giggled knowing what Bianca was referring to. "I told you I'd get my husband right where I wanted him," she said twirling the handcuffs from the cop that Becky Lynch kissed last night.
Randy Orton snatched the handcuffs from Bianca, "Give me those. Your marriage is not a priority, you see this man standing right here?" Randy said pointing to Seth, "He's your number one priority. I don't care what happens to your marriage, you are to remain by Seth's side at all times,"
Bianca gasped in horror, "But Shawn and Amy said that I had to put my marriage first!" she said and Randy's face tightened with displeasure.
"So Shawn and Amy are the reason you weren't with Seth this morning. When are those two Anointed morons going to learn to stop interfering in God's business?!" Randy said angrily, "I have to go talk to my wife, Seth pray for Belair and remember what I said. She is not to leave your side, understand?"
Seth nodded, "I understand," he said.
"Bliss come with me," Randy said and Alexa followed Randy before giving Bianca a look of sympathy.
"I'm so sorry Bianca, your assignment is a tough one," she said and Bianca turned her face to the Orton's kitchen window while Seth approached her tentatively. He put his hand on her shoulder as she clenched her fists with anger.
"Well I'm not sorry, I like having you around. At least you got all that make up sex out of your system, now you can turn your attention to where it's supposed to be: back on me. I hate to say I told you so but, I told you so," Seth said and Bianca sighed.
"I had so much fun with Becky, now I have to come back to reality. I'm sorry Seth but, hanging out with you can be a real drag," Bianca said and Seth turned her around so they were face-to-face.
"I actually like hanging out with you, you help me focus on what's really important. Plus I love your hair," Seth said and Bianca laughed. "Now I'm assuming you were drunk while you were with hanging out with Becky and going all over New York with your husband so, I'm going to pray for you now and sober you right back up. I'm sorry Bianca but play time's over. It's time to get serious again,"
Bianca nodded, "The last few days have been such a blast, will I ever have fun again?" she said. "This assignment is so severe, I can't believe God chose me to be your Treasurer. All I want to do is be with my husband, now I have to spend all my time watching out for you. Montez is going to get so jealous of all the time we're going to be spending together,"
Seth kissed Bianca on the head, "Like I said, I like spending time with you. I have a pretty good track record Bianca, don't worry. Your husband is on the right side, I just need to get you back on schedule, we've already missed a lot of time,"
Seth took Bianca up to the Ortons bedroom to pray, when she was back to herself, she told him what was going to happen with Galina Reigns and Seth couldn't believe it and he was sure Roman wouldn't either.
