It would have been a lovely dream, life continuing as normal.
"Alphonse Sabas, for infringement of numerous hero regulations, public and violent use of own Quirk you are under arrest." Police chief Kenji Tsuragamae says as a group of policemen handcuff Alphonse out of nowhere. Cars were waiting in front of the school and as soon as he stepped out of the front door they jumped on him, covered his eyes and tied him up so that he might not escape.
"Someone told them... someone told them about my Quirk's weakness!" Alphonse shouts as he's being carried up in the air by the policemen. "I'll rip your throat out!"
"What are you doing? You can't do that!" Midoriya says seeing how Alphonse is simply taken away by the police.
"I have to protest too. What in the world are you doing to one of my students?" Aizawa says jumping out of the school immediately hearing the commotion.
"You'll be able to defend him later. For now he is under arrest for a huge array of laws he's broken." Thus Alphonse was taken to the police station and the teachers were informed of what happened.
Over the last few weeks the police tracked Alphonse down as more and more cases of him using his Quirk without permission outside private areas were reported. Things like travelling around and jumping from rooftop to rooftop were seen as minor inconveniences but it was worse, far worse. He was stalking suspected villains, during the night he tracked them down and anonymously sent the data to the police to look it up. They took his fingerprints and compared them with the ones on the papers he kept sending them. That was in direct infringement with the law of the state. He would have to be sent to a penitentiary and partake in reformation activities and sessions to stop using his Quirk haphazardly. To try and help him out the teachers obviously wanted to do as much as possible however their hands were tied.
"Sabas you fool, your pride and insubordination brought you to ruin. What are we going to do with him? What can we do?"
"The best we can do at this point is to lessen his sentence as much as possible. We can plead on the fact that his actions were non violent and the use of his Quirk was for the very least hidden." Principal Nezu says.
"This is really bad. Alphonse was always an unruly student who had a hard time accepting the chain of command. Considering his upbringing being seen as a god of corn all these rules forced upon him might have seen a waste of time for him or at most something optional. The best that can happen is him resenting all of this and stop wanting to be a hero, the worse case scenario is..."
"Him turning into a villain. And here is where we have to make a sacrifice. Either we tell the police about his possible escape attempt and make him lose all our faith in us or we don't and we risk setting him on the loose where he can interact with villains or have violent interactions with the police."
"Worse is, if we send him back to South America he might reject us as well as the hero chain of authority turning himself into a vigilante."
"So what do we do?"
"You'll do nothing. The fools already lost me." Alphonse says as a row of corn fills the room. "You can't see me Eraser Head, I can escape freely if any of you moves trying to capture me. So that's how you were making your plans. Was my fate to be decided at a table where I wasn't invited to sit at?"
"You've broken the law. You've acted hastily and..."
"I was industrious. I didn't sit idly by as villainy was taking place around me. I took the first step, I acted. Are we to suffer in our torpor as our enemy draws ever closer. Laws, rules... I played by them as much as I allowed myself to. My people are dead because dead people are walking. Do you know how many people villains like Death Sphere killed? I think he reached thousands by his own hands. Why was he never killed? Mad people like the ones that attacked Hosu, why are villains content with keeping the peace instead of enforcing it? I've had this discussion before with Ida and Deku. The class gave up their power to chose a sole leader that makes the decision in their place. It smells like compliance to me. When have I signed any paper, when was I asked to give up my rights to action to subject myself to your rules? It's simple, your laws have no power over me. Stop me yourselves if you can, do it properly don't do it for them. I challenge you teachers of U.A. send class A-1 after me, come after me yourselves. If you can catch me in a month or less I'll give up all my actions and accept all the consequences. Otherwise I'll start acting on my own and the next time the stones won't be hollow when I'll use them."
"Is that a threat?" Vlad King asks.
"No matter what we must take it as such." Nezu adds.
"So, do we actually send the students after him?" All Might says.
"If we don't he'll just start attacking villains and turn the city in a war zone." Aizawa responds.
"You give this much credit to a single student?"
"You have to remember, he easily defeated Grey Tusk, a pro hero and scored the maximum amount of points in every test he took. Because of him we couldn't even use the testing system we've implemented on so many students. On top of that we must consider the possible experience he might have gained during his childhood. We've assumed he is a simple survivor but we might have bought a child soldier inside out school."
"It sure is convenient, way too convenient don't you think. He has perfect mastery over his Quirk, he uses it continuously every day and doesn't display any signs of fatigue. It is as natural as breathing to him. No student in our school has such level of control over their own Quirk meaning he must have had a lot of experience."
"What's the worse that can happen if we let him lose?" Midnight says.
"According to Grey Tusk's recollection of what he saw when he was covered in Al's blood he was sent to a world covered in corn and Aztec pyramids where there were an unknown amount of angry ghosts looking to kill him. The least we can assume is that he will start killing villains." All Might adds.
"And the worse?" Vlad King asks.
"I've been looking into his Quirk for a while." Nezu stars talking as he jumps on the table and grabs a coup of tea. "It might not as simple as we've anticipated. You see, he might not be growing corn out of nowhere but actually bring it from that endless world of his. If he can bring corn and create weapons then there might be a chance he could learn how to summon those ghosts into our world. Imagine the chaos if he has an army of soldiers at his command. It seems the best we can do is play his game. The students will first try to capture him in let's call it "a friendly game". If they fail we'll intervene."
The next day Aizawa explains the whole situation to the students.
"We have to find, fight and capture Al?" Midoriya is the first to question this decision.
"Finally I have a reason to beat the hell out of him!"
"Well, we'll soon have our chances because I've received this in the mail this morning." Ida says bringing up a piece of paper with the coordinates of a locations somewhere outside the city. Aizawa takes the paper, looks it over then decides the next course of actions. If they try to send the police over or other heroes Al would run away. The only thing they can do is go there and fight him.
Later that day.
"I can't believe any of this. First Al is arrested then he escapes prison and challenges the whole class and teachers to capture him. This makes absolutely no sense." Kaminari says.
"It is the danger of using your Quirk without regulations. He doesn't want to follow the rules and now he's going to fight us over it." Ida says with an obviously angered look on his face. He wanted to bring himself forward to hate Al but he couldn't. How could he, from his point of view the only wrong thing Al did was to get himself caught. Ida, Midoriya and Todoroki did the same thing only they fought and captured a villain while all Alphonse did was to follow around suspected villains and tip the police to their location. It was unfair and this word 'unfair' was the one ringing inside Aizawa's head too. The teacher is concerned if his actions of always trying to force Al into a box might have lead to him turning out like this. There was no time to think things over however. The invitation to battle was for only two days after which they would have to track him down instead. Tracking down a student capable of teleporting to the other side of the world would be impossible and only bad things could happen if they don't stop him.
They went to the field, an opened plateau overlooking a forest. A natural ring for them to fight inside. All the teachers and all the students of class A-1 came. The order of fighting has been decided, first the students will fight then the teachers.
"I'll challenge you one by one then all together. The first to fall of the plateau or be unable to fight loses. If any of you don't want to fight then I'm fine with that.
"What do you want to prove with this?"
"I'm seeking a hero. I want to see if any of you can become a hero strong enough to punish villains while still following the rules imposed by people you haven't voted for, forget even voting. I didn't gave my consent to be policed, you've forced rules upon me and I rebelled and the rules became more oppressive. Villains aren't punished while they come for me and tie me down like a dog. Why aren't you hounding the villains in the street, burning down their dens and making sure no person will think ever again about taking the name of villain upon themselves? Why aren't villains afraid of heroes?" Al then throws them a bag with pieces of paper from 1 to 20. Everyone will pick one the fight. If they manage to defeat him then the battles are over and he will go with them willingly. If they can't defeat him then they can try all together then the teachers can do the same.
"You're awfully cocky for someone about to get his ass handed to him." Bakugo says preparing to enter the ring.
"I'm not playing explosion boy. Draw a number and wait your turn or better have the teachers ready to intervene since I'll rip a hole in your stomach and tear out your heart." Anger, desire for violence and adrenaline is flowing through Alphonse's body. He didn't created any large quantities of corn for two days, his body is filled with blood by now, it is boiling inside of him.
"Guys... There's no way I'm fighting him. I can't win. There's no way I can beat him. I can't fight someone like that." Mineta says backing out of the fight.
"It's for his good that we do this. We'll beat you into the dirt then bring you back on the side of the righteous Alphonse!" Ida says drawing the first number.
The first to fight however was Sato. He drew the ticket with the number one on it.
"Are you ready? Better clench your teeth since I won't go easy on you." Sato says preparing to fight.
"Mineta. Since you aren't going to fight you give the signal."
"...F... fight!" Sato grabs some cubes of sugar and prepares to eat them but immediately a bush of corn appears in front of him and a hand grabs the sugar out of his palm.
"Why didn't you buffed yourself before the fight started? Your Quirk allows you to stay in your powered up mod only for a little while. Why didn't you took that into consideration?" Alphonse steals his Sugar and with a well placed spring trap behind Sato's back he sends him flying. Without Sugar or a way to power up his Quirk Sato is the first to be eliminated.
Koda drew the number two ticket... He joined Mineta on the side lines.
Kirishima is number three.
"My Quirk activates instantly. How are you going to deal with me?" Kirishima shouts as Alphonse created a field of corn around him attacking him with ranged weaponry.
"Your outside is very strong and your physical power increases greatly. However... how long can you hold your breath?" Alphonse shoves a piece of corn down Kirishima's throat and a few corn seeds up his nose. If he kept his hardened form then he wouldn't be able to remove them. If he released his hardened form then a trap was ready to spring and hit him straight in the face. Choking to the point of unconsciousness Kirishima never gave up fighting choosing to try and attack Alphonse until he fell to the ground.
"The more I look... the more I realise I can't win. I'll sparkle for you all... from the side lines." Aoyama says choosing to back out of the fight too.
Mina is next in line to fight.
"There are no gaps in my acid armour Al. You won't be able to defeat me with any of your attacks. I'll just cover the ground in acid leaving no place for you to hide!"
"Your acid armour is strong but it has a slow over time decay effect on it. Blunt, swift impact trauma works just as well as ever." And another one hit in the back with a tree branch.
"I didn't expected those branches to hurt so badly. Mina says complaining how hard she was hit to fly out of the ring.
Six were already out, fourteen more to go then the teachers. How will the battle end? Will someone find a way to counter Alphonse's infinite free movement around his rows of corn?
