THE BEGINNING OF FORGIVENESS

Duke Johnny Eames strongly disagreed with his daughter's union.

How had she dared to do him such an affront!

And to think that his younger sister Kathy had tried to make him change his mind, using all possible ploys!

Damn you Kathy!

He would never accept his son-in-law, nor this child!

It was simply out of the question!

And luckily his wife was no longer of this world because she would have made him give in and accept that.

She knew how to be persuasive.

- Monsignor, there is someone for you in the living room!

Who could come and disturb him!

He was not in the mood to receive anyone.

He was going to fire this embarrassment.

But when he entered the living room, he stopped as if dumbfounded.

In front of him was his daughter Alexandra, she held in her arms a small being who was agitated.

He would turn back, wanting to ignore her, but when the baby chirped, he walked over to his daughter out of curiosity.

Just by curiosity ! He would never accept this child!

This child with ebony curls, hazel-colored eyes, red cheeks and was smiling at her.

It was a girl!

And strangely, he thought he saw her as his late wife!

What spell is playing on me, lord?

He had to stick to his decision, but the more he looked at this little girl, the more he began to falter.

He took his infant mother's arms, rocking her.

He had just succumbed to his little girl.

Alexandra smiles.

This man wasn't that hard actually!

He wanted to make people believe the opposite, when in fact he wasn't at all!

- It's not that I accept your union with your damn Goren! But this little girl and my little girl and I would make an effort!

This man was acting proud, but as soon as he looked at this child, he immediately accepted it!

It was a good omen.

And who knows with time, would accept her husband.

Alexandra was not losing hope.

- Alicia that's her name! Johnny looked at his daughter, who was smiling at him. She had given the name of his late wife. It touched him deeply. My mother's name !

Eames turned his attention to the baby, cradling her and smiling at her.

Alicia ...

And to think that you look like him ...
