Chapter 11:

The rest of the camp headed back to their respective cabins while I followed Chiron, Percy, and Annabeth to the Big House. When we reached the Big House Chiron ushered us inside. Percy led us to a room with a pingpong table in the center of it. Chairs surrounded the table and on top of it was a plate of crackers and a can of Cheese Whiz.

Percy stood at the table for a few moments silent before he slammed his fist down and shouted, "What is the point? We're just pawns to your game why make other people suffer? We can't win your games so why do you keep using us and making our lives miserable?" He looked up at the ceiling as if he was going to get a response, but the only thing he received was Annabeth running to his side.

I looked at Chiron to see if he had anything to say but he just looked at the floor.

"Chiron is there a new prophecy?" Annabeth asked him.

"Rachel hasn't mentioned anything but it does seem like there should be a new prophecy considering a powerful child of Hermes and a child of Poseidon were claimed on the same day," Chiron responded.

"So my father really is Poseidon?" I asked. I didn't receive an answer.

"Mya, you should go get some sleep. Percy, where is your family staying for the night?" Chiron asked.

"We were planning to stay in my cabin but I can go get the kids and we can stay here for the night so Mya can have the cabin to herself. I'm sure she has a lot on her mind." Percy spoke softly, "Come with me Mya, I'll take you to the cabin."

We exited the Big House and headed across the valley. The closer to the cabins we came the more everything seemed to become more real. Finally, we reached a low, long, and solid cabin, with all the windows facing the sea. The outer walls were rough gray stone with pieces of seashell and coral and it looked like the bottom of the ocean floor.

"Welcome to cabin three. Your new home." Percy said. We walked inside and I saw all of the Jackson kids sitting near a fountain. They seemed to be talking to someone but I couldn't tell who.

"Then grandpa the three kids started to play with us, and one jumped off the third story onto the ground! It was super cool!" Ethan told his grandpa with a giant smile on his face.

"Who's on the Iris message?" Percy asked the three kids.

"It's grandpa Poseidon!" all three kids responded at the same time.

"Hello, Percy." a voice came from the fountain.

"Hey, dad." Percy said back, "Come on kids let's grab your stuff we're going to stay in the Big House for the night." The three kids tried to whine and complain to get out of it, but when they saw their father's hard facial expression they seemed to understand something was wrong.

The three of them picked up their bags from the corner of the room and headed towards the Big House. Percy walked over to the fountain and began to have a conversation with whoever was on the other side of the 'Iris message' whatever that meant.

"Mya, come here," Percy said to me.

I approached him, and that's when I saw it. The fountain was made of gray sea rocks. Some of the rock was shaped into a fish that spouts water out of its mouth. It was decorated with coral. Many golden coins sat at the bottom of it. There was a shimmer of rainbow and in the mist, I could see a man. He looked just like Percy with dark black hair, vibrant sea-green eyes, and a dark tan.

"Hello, Mya," he said.

"Hey, dad." I didn't know if it was for sure him or not but when I saw his smile after I responded to him I knew he was really my father. "Thank you for the gifts!"

"Of course, now their appearance will be different the cheat plate will have a green trident on the front and it will be speckled with tough blue coral for extra protection. The same will happen to your weapons." Poseidon told me.

"What is my second weapon?" I asked him.

"It would only make sense for it to be my symbol of power." He answered. I nodded and flicked my wrist. A black trident appeared in my hand it looked the same as it had before but now there were dark blue pieces of coral speckled throughout the weapon and the green trident appeared in line with the middle spike of the trident.

"Wow!" I whispered in awe.

I turn towards Percy. He stood back leaning on the doorframe with his arms crossed. When he saw me look at him he smiled.

I turned back towards the message and Poseidon spoke, "Tomorrow you will go to Rachel. I know there must be a prophecy that must be spoken. It just doesn't make sense with everything that has happened. Children, there is evil stirring I can feel it, but I cannot see it. Something older and more powerful than both the giants and titans." Percy had stepped forward when Posiedon called us children. I nodded to show him that I understood him when I really had no idea what he was talking about. "Both of you should get some sleep. I may not be able to contact you again for a while if things are going the way I believe they might be going… but of course it seems almost impossible anything near that could happen. There is no need to worry, but just be prepared in case the worse does happen." The three of us sat in silence for a few moments before the Iris message faded.

I turn towards Percy and noticed the grim look on his face. "I've never heard him talk like that before. Maybe… no I shouldn't worry and we both should get some sleep. You've had a busy day Mya. Goodnight." he said and shut the door to the cabin behind him.

I looked around the dimly lit cabin. There was an overhead light but I couldn't find it with the only light coming from the fountain. I looked at the few bunk beds that lined the wall opposite to the door and realized that I came with nothing. The only things that I had were the stuff that Chris had stolen from the camp store for me, and those were still in the Hermes cabin. There was no point in going and getting them and honestly, I was exhausted and barely made it to the bed before I passed out.

I opened my eyes and noticed that I was on the Oakland Hills. I looked below me and in the valley and I saw a small river that flowed into a lake. I saw a city on the other side of the river and maybe a mile away from it was what looked like living quarters.

"It's Camp Jupiter." Luke had appeared next to me and made me jump because I hadn't noticed.

"It's beautiful. All of the Roman architecture." I told him.

"Yeah, sadly I never got to visit because of the whole dying thing but I enjoy the few times my spirit wonders here," he told me, "So daughter of the Sea god that's a pretty big deal!"

"Yeah, but I don't know if I like it or not," I told him.

"I get it. The gods having children like us it's weird, but if you're lucky you get to be a hero that everyone remembers." he nudged me and I laughed.

"Why do you follow me in my dreams?" I asked him.

"I don't know. It could be because of the connection that you have with Dylan or it could be just because I want to." This time he laughed.

"I enjoy the company, and from what I've heard most demigods normally have nightmares." he looked down when I said that. The dream seemed to grow darker and I began to shiver from the cool breeze that had suddenly appeared.

A dark red mist started to surround Luke and me, and that's when I heard the deep powerful laughing again.

"Foolish demigod, you think you're just a pawn to this game? No, you're the centerpiece! You will force the gods to their knees! And when you're done with that I will appear to take my place as the ruler of the heavens!" The voice spoke to me. I flicked my wrist and forced my sword to appear. "For now let allow the boy to give you the prophecy."

Luke looked at me. His eyes were glossed over and red mist seeped through his closed mouth. Then, he began to speak.

"When Rome's in ruins,

the gods shall lose two sons.

The price of their greed,

shall spark a hero's need.

They will fall,

And lose it all."

The red mist faded and Luke collapsed. I rushed towards his side, and when I looked at the valley below I saw it up in flames.

"New Rome!" I whispered.

Luke looked up at me, "Please remember what I told you, Mya. You can't trust everyone. You saw the new force of evil and what it can do when it's not at it's full power. Imagine what it can do with all of it's strength."

Tears streamed down my face. I needed to do something. I couldn't let this happen to this beautiful camp or Camp Half-Blood. I wouldn't allow it! I had to do something.

"Mya, go back. Tell Chiron, Percy, Annabeth, Rachel, tell them what you have seen and what you have heard. You might be able to save many lives but be warned there is a war coming I can feel it. I will do whatever I can to protect you and help you. Please write your own legacy… for me. Do what I couldn't!" Luke began to fade with the rest of my dream and then the next thing I knew was that I was blotting up from the nightmare I had just had in cabin three.

Thank you for reading! Please review and have a good day!
