Lumine began her first day as an official Knight of Favonius. She was quite nervous about doing commissions and quests, but she knew that she was ready. She convinced Paimon that they would be able to explore the rest of Teyvat together instead of being stuck in the training grounds all day and the pair set off towards the Knights of Favonius headquarters.
As she entered the building, a girl with long, semi-curly brown hair with Lumine's golden eyes ran towards her. She was wearing a pair of tan goggles and a red bandana across her head and her outfit was made of dark brown leather paired with a red hoodie. Lumine thought that she looked quite similar to Little Red Riding Hood.
"Are you Lumine? I've been so excited to meet you!" The girl gleefully asked.
"Yes, I am Lumine. And you are?"
"I am Amber the Outrider! I'm also known as Mondstadt's Gliding Champion as I was a three-time winner of the Gliding Championship in Mondstadt!"
Amber turned her attention towards Paimon and gave her a friendly smile.
"Nice to meet you too, Paimon! I've heard about you from Kaeya already!"
"Wow, he spoke of me? Paimon likes him a tad bit more now. Nice to meet you too, Amber!"
After they finished introducing themselves, Amber began instructing her about the basic requirement of being a Knight of Favonius.
"I'm going to be your mentor during your stay as a Knight of Favonius. There really isn't much to learn once you understand how to go on and receive rewards from quests and commissions. And I'll teach you how to glide, of course!"
Amber directed the girls out of the headquarters and towards a brown-colored building near the front of the city.
"This is the Adventurers' Guild and is managed by our receptionist Katheryne." Amber pointed before turning her head to the receptionist.
"Ad astra abyssosque! Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild!" Katheryne welcomed them.
"Katheryne, can you give Lumine and Paimon a quick introduction to the guild? Lumine is a new Knight of Favonius." Amber requested.
"For sure. Lumine, you can come here every day to receive quests, commissions, and explorations! After you complete them, you can also come here to receive your rewards. I'll be the person managing that process during your stay as an Adventurer." Katheryne explained.
"You are currently at Adventure Rank 1. As you complete more quests and commissions, your Adventure Rank will increase. The higher your Adventure Rank is, the harder the quests and commissions will be. Of course, you will receive better rewards for completing them as well."
"That's basically it! Now, why don't we pick up your first commission of the day?" Amber asked excitedly.
Lumine agreed to Amber's request and proceeded to wait for Katheryne to assign her first commission to her.
"Alright, your first commission today will be to defeat the Hilichurl camp in Wolvendom."
"Sounds good! Thanks, Katheryne. Now, make sure you and Paimon follow me!"
Amber led Lumine and Paimon towards a floating blue device. Upon their arrival, Amber moved Lumine and Paimon's hands and placed them on top of the device.
"Amber, what is this?" Lumine asked fervently.
"It's a teleport waypoint! You can use it to teleport to other teleport waypoints around Teyvat. Now, in order to trigger it, you need to think of the place you want to go to, which is Wolvendom!"
"Paimon can teleport directly there, so I'll see you guys later!"
Lumine's eyelids drooped as she thought of Wolvendom in her head. The name sounded familiar, but she couldn't quite place her finger on it. With a small "ding!", she suddenly arrived at another teleport waypoint.
"Amber, I did it!" Lumine beamed.
"Great job! Now let's go beat up some Hilichurls!"
The trio traveled south of the teleport waypoint, hoping to find the Hilichurl camp. At last, they found the camp near a small lake next to Wolvendom.
"You're a sword fighter, right?" Amber whispered.
At the sight of Lumine's confirmation, Amber continued, "Then go attack the camp directly. I'm an archer, so I'll stay here and shoot the Hilichurls from a distance.
"Make sure to be careful, okay? Unlike me, you don't have a Vision so you need to stay safer! Anyway, go attack them now! Paimon, you can stay with me." Amber gestured.
Without having time to explain her mysterious power, Lumine was forcefully pushed out into the open. As she drew closer to the camp, a putrid, foul smell surrounded her nose. 'What is this smell?' Lumine wondered as she carefully unsheathed her sword. She wasn't sure how powerful the Hilichurls were and she wanted to be prepared for them.
However, the disgusting stench continued to distract her and she gave in. She changed her direction and headed for the right side of the camp, where the smell seemed to emit from. 'After I get rid of this smell, I'll head for the center of the camp.' Lumine wordlessly promised herself. She wiggled through the bushes and finally reached the origin of the bad smell.
"What … is this?" Lumine's eyes widened.
